On this particular evening, Cosmo was getting ready to head out to work delivering dreams, and Astrid was meant to be coming too. They always flew out with their father, Oriyan, who was a dreamgiver too. Their mother, Nova, was a teacher at the Dreamgiver's Training Academy where all young dream givers went to school. Just as Cosmo and Astrid had strapped up their shoes and dusted off their wings, they went to reach for their satchels of dream dust. To their surprise, they were empty. There was no dream dust left. What do we do now, Astrid asked her big brother, where can we get more dream dust from? Cosmo looked around to see if his parents had any more dream dust stored away. He didn't know where the dream dust came from. He had never really thought about it. Much. Maybe we could get some from the local shop, he thought. Then right on cue their mother and father, Nova and Orian appeared in the doorway with smiles on their faces. Rian approached his two children and announced, we have a very special mission for you, Cosmo and asked you were intrigued a mission for them? Whatever could it be? Their mother, Nova stepped forward and crouched down to their level, holding out two empty golden buckets. What are these for, Cosmo wondered, but his mother promptly began to explain. Here, take a bucket each. She instructed them. You have both been working so hard and doing so well in your dream giver training that we think you're both ready to visit the Lake of Dreams. The Lake of Dreams, Cosmo thought, what was that? But Astrid recognized the names straight away and started to flutter her shimmering wings up and down with excitement. Oh, she squealed with glee. I remember the Lake of Dreams from school. It's where dream dust can be found. Nova nodded her head, impressed with her daughter's memory. Astrid was right. The Lake of Dreams was where dream dust could be found. It was a dream giver's rite of passage. To be able to visit the Lake of Dreams and be granted access to the magical dream dust. Where is the Lake of Dreams, Cosmo asked inquisitively. He couldn't remember hearing about the special location before. Nova looked to Astrid and asked her if she could remember from school, and Astrid proudly replied, the Lake of Dreams is on the Moon.
