[00:02:56] For the third day in a row, Cuddle climbed onto the back of Apollo, the alligator bus who would take her to school, and no Kevin appeared.

[00:03:14] Looks like he had the flu still, same as yesterday.

[00:03:19] Snuggle and Huggle, her older brother and sister, stayed sitting with her on the bus.

[00:03:24] Normally, they would climb further back and sit right where Apollo's tail started, but they didn't like seeing Cuddle alone.

[00:03:32] He'll get well soon, said Snuggle to Cuddle as they said goodbye to each other and went their separate ways to different parts of the school.

[00:03:42] Snuggle gave her baby sister a quick hug and then set off towards Sleepy Forest High,

[00:03:48] and Cuddle turned with a sigh and went over to the Kookaburra Kindy.

[00:03:55] Mrs. Bloomington, the big fuzzy black and yellow bumblebee who was her teacher,

[00:04:00] buzzed her way over to Cuddle's desk as soon as she came in.

[00:04:06] Listen, dear, why don't you sit with Harry today?

[00:04:11] She suggested kindly, pointing over to a hoglet, a baby hedgehog, who had a space next to him.

[00:04:19] Cuddle paused.

[00:04:22] She didn't want Kevin to think she was busy making a new best friend.

[00:04:28] Mrs. Bloomington seemed to guess what she was thinking,

[00:04:31] because she leaned in a little closer and whispered to Snuggle,

[00:04:36] You want Kevin to be happy, don't you?

[00:04:41] Cuddle nodded.

[00:04:44] So don't you think he would want you to be happy too?

[00:04:50] Cuddle sniffed and squeezed out a mumble.

[00:04:55] I suppose so.

[00:04:58] Well then, said Mrs. Bloomington, that's settled.

[00:05:05] Kevin will be right as rain in a few days,

[00:05:08] and you can come back here to your usual spot.

[00:05:12] Until then, Harry will be great company.

[00:05:17] She buzzed over to the space beside the little hoglet,

[00:05:21] who sat staring at Cuddle through an enormous pair of glasses

[00:05:25] that magnified his eyes so they were ten times larger than they really were.

[00:05:31] Cuddle picked up her bag and went over to Harry's table.

[00:05:35] He grinned, sneezed, pushed his glasses back up his nose

[00:05:40] where they'd slipped down from the sneeze and said,

[00:05:42] Hiya!

[00:05:43] As cheerily as he could.

[00:05:46] Hey, said Cuddle in return, managing a weak smile.

[00:05:53] Harry thought for a minute and then rummaged around in his pencil case.

[00:05:58] Every time he leaned forwards, his glasses slipped down his nose

[00:06:02] and he had to push them up again.

[00:06:05] So really one paw was rummaging and the other

[00:06:08] was constantly putting his glasses back in place.

[00:06:12] Finally, he found what he was looking for

[00:06:14] and drew it out with a triumphant,

[00:06:17] Aha!

[00:06:18] presenting it to Cuddle.

[00:06:20] She grinned.

[00:06:22] Thought you'd like that, said Harry.

[00:06:25] An eraser in the shape of a kangaroo.

[00:06:30] I bet it can bounce almost as much as Kevin.

[00:06:34] Cuddle giggled and then checked to see Mrs. Bloomington wasn't watching.

[00:06:40] She bounced the eraser on the floor and boing it went.

[00:06:45] Then lots of mini boings as it charged off underneath the table

[00:06:49] in a wibbly-wobbly sort of line.

[00:06:52] Harry sniggered loudly, then clapped his paws over his mouth

[00:06:56] as Mrs. Bloomington looked over

[00:06:59] and the pair of them pretended to be very interested

[00:07:03] in sharpening their pencils

[00:07:04] while inspecting the huge blackboard

[00:07:07] their teacher was writing the day's lesson on.
