00:00:10

Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Kuala Moun, a podcast of

00:00:14

Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime

00:00:20

Speaker 1: a dream. Hey Coco Club members, Before we begin, I

00:00:25

Speaker 1: wanted to let you know that tomorrow you are cordially

00:00:28

Speaker 1: invited to a Halloween party in Sleepy Forest, thrown by

00:00:33

Speaker 1: Spooky the bush Baby. I hope you have your costume

00:00:37

Speaker 1: at the ready. But back to tonight. As you probably

00:00:41

Speaker 1: know by now, Coco and his friends in Sleepy Forest

00:00:45

Speaker 1: all love a celebration. We've not let a birthday, Christmas, Halloween,

00:00:51

Speaker 1: Bonfire Night, or Easter go by without marking it. And

00:00:56

Speaker 1: today I'm really happy to introduce you to a love

00:01:00

Speaker 1: board giant squirrel named Margie who's preparing for a very

00:01:04

Speaker 1: special festivity called Davali. Once we're all snuggled up and

00:01:10

Speaker 1: ready to listen, we'll hear how Margie enjoys his five

00:01:14

Speaker 1: days for celebration, and we'll bump into some Sleepy Forest

00:01:18

Speaker 1: residents who are very intrigued and delighted to learn all

00:01:21

Speaker 1: about Devali too. So lie back, clear your mind, take

00:01:28

Speaker 1: some lovely deep breaths down into your belly, feel your

00:01:34

Speaker 1: chest and tummy rise as you breathe in and fall

00:01:38

Speaker 1: as you breathe out, give me a little sigh on

00:01:42

Speaker 1: your next breath out. I think we're now ready to

00:01:49

Speaker 1: head over to Sleepy Forest and begin our story tonight.

00:01:55

Speaker 1: This is de Vali in Sleepy Forest by Alicia Ain

00:02:00

Speaker 1: and edited by a Neupalgatory. Margy was a Malabar squirrel

00:02:12

Speaker 1: living in a treehouse in one of the tallest trees

00:02:15

Speaker 1: of Sleepy Forest. Malabar squirrels are much bigger than your

00:02:19

Speaker 1: average squirrel, and they also have the most exquisitely colorful

00:02:24

Speaker 1: fur coats. Mardi had not one, not two, not three,

00:02:31

Speaker 1: not four, but five different colors splurged and streaked all

00:02:37

Speaker 1: over his furry body. He had an orange face with

00:02:41

Speaker 1: bright red ears and a yellow underbelly and feet. His

00:02:46

Speaker 1: neck was red, then his shoulders were black. The middle

00:02:51

Speaker 1: of his body was encapsulated by a giant stripe of purple,

00:02:56

Speaker 1: and he had a black furry bottom and a long tail.

00:03:00

Speaker 1: Maiji the Malabar squirrel was a spectacular sight to behold.

00:03:08

Speaker 1: Maji the Malabar squirrel was originally from the forests of India,

00:03:13

Speaker 1: so when he moved to Sleepy Forest, he brought with

00:03:16

Speaker 1: him many wonderful traditions. Tonight we will learn about one

00:03:21

Speaker 1: of the biggest traditions, Marji Light to celebrate. One morning,

00:03:26

Speaker 1: Marjie woke up in his cozy bed in his humble

00:03:30

Speaker 1: wooden tree house and smiled the biggest smile. Today was

00:03:35

Speaker 1: the start of Maji's favorite time of year. It was

00:03:40

Speaker 1: time to celebrate Diwali. Devali was arguably the biggest celebration

00:03:46

Speaker 1: of the year where Marji lived in India. Devali celebrated

00:03:51

Speaker 1: the start of the Hindu new year and was very important.

00:03:56

Speaker 1: Divali was a time to celebrate the triumph of light

00:04:00

Speaker 1: over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over bad. Margie

00:04:08

Speaker 1: couldn't wait to spend the next five days preparing and celebrating.

00:04:14

Speaker 1: On the first day of the Devali festivities, he was

00:04:17

Speaker 1: to clean his home and purchase something gold. On the

00:04:22

Speaker 1: second day, he would decorate his home ready for the

00:04:25

Speaker 1: third day of Divali, when the big celebrations began. Then

00:04:32

Speaker 1: on the fourth and fifth days, Margie would visit his

00:04:35

Speaker 1: family and show his appreciation for them through several family

00:04:39

Speaker 1: traditions and by offering gifts. Today was the first day

00:04:46

Speaker 1: of the Devali celebrations. And Marjie had the important task

00:04:51

Speaker 1: of cleaning his home ahead of him. Margie didn't particularly

00:04:56

Speaker 1: enjoy cleaning, but it was something that had to be done.

00:05:01

Speaker 1: Margie looked around his tree house and realized that he

00:05:05

Speaker 1: had let things get a little bit out of hand.

00:05:09

Speaker 1: Knowing he was going to be doing a big clean

00:05:12

Speaker 1: of his home for de Vali, Margie hadn't lifted a

00:05:16

Speaker 1: finger for the last few weeks. As a result, his

00:05:20

Speaker 1: tree house was quite messy. There were clothes all over

00:05:25

Speaker 1: the floor, dust had built up on the shelves, and

00:05:29

Speaker 1: there were cobwebs dangling from the corners of the room.

00:05:33

Speaker 1: Not to mention, he had a huge pile of dirty plates,

00:05:37

Speaker 1: pots and pans stacked up next to the kitchen sink

00:05:42

Speaker 1: waiting to be scrubbed clean. Margie sighed and wished he

00:05:48

Speaker 1: hadn't let his home get quite so messy. Today would

00:05:53

Speaker 1: have gone a lot smoother if he hadn't left so

00:05:56

Speaker 1: much to clean. But it had to be done, so

00:06:00

Speaker 1: Margie set to work tidying his tree house. He began

00:06:05

Speaker 1: by picking up the clothes off the floor, but the

00:06:09

Speaker 1: piles of items seemed to be never ending. Every time

00:06:13

Speaker 1: he picked up a sock. He found two more. It

00:06:18

Speaker 1: was going to take a long time to make his

00:06:21

Speaker 1: house ready for de Vali. Margie felt relieved once he

00:06:26

Speaker 1: had finally finished picking up all the clutter around his

00:06:30

Speaker 1: tree house. One task down, only a dozen more to go.

00:06:37

Speaker 1: The cluttered items might have been picked up, but there

00:06:41

Speaker 1: were still lots of pots and pans next to the

00:06:44

Speaker 1: sink that needed washing, and the whole tree house needed

00:06:48

Speaker 1: a proper spring clean. Margie didn't know how he would

00:06:53

Speaker 1: get it all finished to day. Margie decided to take

00:06:57

Speaker 1: a break and went outside sit down on his balcony

00:07:01

Speaker 1: with a cup of tea and a biscuit. Oh dear,

00:07:06

Speaker 1: oh dear, Margie thought to himself, how is he going

00:07:11

Speaker 1: to finish cleaning his house in time for tomorrow? At

00:07:16

Speaker 1: that moment, Margie noticed two little bunnies hop across the

00:07:21

Speaker 1: forest floor below. The two little bunnies spotted Margie high

00:07:26

Speaker 1: up in his tree and waved a greeting to him.

00:07:32

Speaker 1: Hullo up there. One of the bunnies called out, my

00:07:36

Speaker 1: name is Bertie, and this is Bobby. What's your name.

00:07:43

Speaker 1: Margie felt instantly better talking to the friendly bunnies and

00:07:48

Speaker 1: told them his name. It's nice to meet you, Margie,

00:07:53

Speaker 1: Bertie the Bunny replied, before adding, you have the most

00:07:58

Speaker 1: amazing color a full fur coat I've ever seen. Margie

00:08:04

Speaker 1: smiled with pride. He was particularly proud of his ravishing

00:08:10

Speaker 1: multi colored fur, and he felt fuzzy inside thanks to

00:08:14

Speaker 1: Bertie's compliment. Bertie seemed equally pleased to have put a

00:08:20

Speaker 1: smile on Margie's face. How glad that turned you all

00:08:24

Speaker 1: frown upside down, Bertie teased. Then Bobby the Bunny hopped

00:08:32

Speaker 1: in and added, he looked quite glum when we first

00:08:36

Speaker 1: saw you. Is everything all right? Margie sighed and explained

00:08:42

Speaker 1: that he was cleaning his home in preparation for de Vli,

00:08:46

Speaker 1: but he was struggling to finish it all in time

00:08:49

Speaker 1: for to morrow. He had let his messiness get out

00:08:53

Speaker 1: of hand over the last few weeks, and now there

00:08:56

Speaker 1: was too much for him to handle on his own.

00:09:00

Speaker 1: Bertie and Bobby looked at each other and nodded before

00:09:05

Speaker 1: offering to help him. Bertie and Bobby loved helping out

00:09:10

Speaker 1: where they could, and they found the concept of du

00:09:14

Speaker 1: Varli quite fascinating. Perhaps, they suggested Margie could tell them

00:09:21

Speaker 1: all about de Rali while they cleaned together, Margie's bushy

00:09:27

Speaker 1: squirrel tail began to wag with enthusiasm. He was delighted

00:09:33

Speaker 1: that the two bunnies were willing to help him clean

00:09:36

Speaker 1: his home, but he was even more pleased that they

00:09:40

Speaker 1: wanted to learn about de Vrali. Margie didn't know any

00:09:45

Speaker 1: one else in Sleepy Forest who celebrated di Vrali too,

00:09:49

Speaker 1: so it would be nice to share his traditions with

00:09:52

Speaker 1: a willing pair of ears, and Bertie and Bobby's long

00:09:56

Speaker 1: bunny rabbit ears certainly fit the bill. Bertie and Bobby

00:10:02

Speaker 1: climbed the stairs up to Margie's tree house and he

00:10:06

Speaker 1: guided them inside. When the bunnies saw the mess, they

00:10:11

Speaker 1: didn't batter either, and set straight to work, sharing out

00:10:16

Speaker 1: the tasks. Bobby would start washing up the dirty plates,

00:10:22

Speaker 1: Bertie would sweep the floor, and since Margie was the

00:10:26

Speaker 1: best climber, he could tackle the spiderwebs with a feather duster.

00:10:33

Speaker 1: As the three new friends worked together to clean Margie's

00:10:38

Speaker 1: tree house, Margie told Bertie and Bobby all about the

00:10:42

Speaker 1: festivities he had lined up for the next four days.

00:10:47

Speaker 1: Bertie and Bobby thought it sounded like a lot of fun.

00:10:53

Speaker 1: It didn't take too long before Margie's tree house was

00:10:57

Speaker 1: spick and span. Bertie, Bobby and Margie were quite the team,

00:11:05

Speaker 1: and a job that would have taken Margie all day

00:11:08

Speaker 1: and all night to complete was finished within a couple

00:11:12

Speaker 1: of hours. Margie was very grateful to Bertie and Bobby

00:11:19

Speaker 1: for their help. In fact, he was so appreciative that

00:11:24

Speaker 1: Margie invited the two bunnies to join him for dinner

00:11:29

Speaker 1: in two days time for the main day of Devali.

00:11:34

Speaker 1: Bertie and Bobby were elated to be invited and gratefully

00:11:39

Speaker 1: accepted the invitation. Margie told them that they had to

00:11:45

Speaker 1: dress in their finest clothes and meet him at his

00:11:49

Speaker 1: tree house at six o'clock in the evening. Margie thanked

00:11:55

Speaker 1: the rabbits profusely for their help, and Bertie and Bobby

00:12:00

Speaker 1: went on their way, discussing what they would wear for

00:12:04

Speaker 1: the Divari celebrations. Margie looked around his perfectly clean and

00:12:11

Speaker 1: tidy tree house. Now it was ready for the rest

00:12:16

Speaker 1: of his very special Divali preparations. The next day, Margie

00:12:24

Speaker 1: woke up ready for the second day of the Divali festival.

00:12:29

Speaker 1: Today he had to prepare his home for the main

00:12:33

Speaker 1: celebrations that would happen tomorrow. De Vali was sometimes called

00:12:40

Speaker 1: a festival of lights, so Margie needed to prepare his

00:12:44

Speaker 1: home for the festival. Margie set to work placing candles

00:12:50

Speaker 1: around the ground at the base of his tree. He

00:12:54

Speaker 1: placed some on the window sills of his tree house

00:12:57

Speaker 1: and a couple on either side of his front door.

00:13:02

Speaker 1: Margie took a step back and gazed at his home.

00:13:07

Speaker 1: It was a good start, but he still needed more

00:13:11

Speaker 1: sources of light for the festival. Next, Margie placed some

00:13:17

Speaker 1: oil lanterns around the outside of his balcony and the

00:13:21

Speaker 1: inside of his home. Every part of his tree house

00:13:27

Speaker 1: needed to be illuminated with light tomorrow. The brighter the better.

00:13:34

Speaker 1: Then he stood back and took another look. Hmm, Margie,

00:13:41

Speaker 1: the Malabar squirrel pondered, It's almost there, but I still

00:13:47

Speaker 1: need more light. Margie decided to get creative. Back in

00:13:54

Speaker 1: India over de Vali, Margie and his family would make

00:13:59

Speaker 1: their own clay lamps called DEA's to place around the house.

00:14:06

Speaker 1: So he decided to whip up a batch of clay

00:14:10

Speaker 1: to make his own DEAs. Margie settled himself at the

00:14:15

Speaker 1: bottom of his tree and began molding little balls of

00:14:18

Speaker 1: clay into curved plates with pointed ends. As Margie sat

00:14:25

Speaker 1: peacefully molding his clay lamps, he heard some soft, plodding

00:14:31

Speaker 1: footsteps approaching from behind him. He turned to glance over

00:14:36

Speaker 1: his shoulder, and his eyes fell upon a young bear.

00:14:41

Speaker 1: He had met this bear before. Her name was Lana.

00:14:47

Speaker 1: Good morning, Lana, Margie greeted her. Lana looked inquisitively at

00:14:54

Speaker 1: Margie and his array of little clay plates. Then she

00:14:58

Speaker 1: gazed up at his tree house surrounded by dozens of

00:15:02

Speaker 1: candles and lanterns. Good morning, Margie, Lana replied, before asking

00:15:10

Speaker 1: what are you making and why is your tree house

00:15:15

Speaker 1: surrounded by so many candles. Margie explained that he was

00:15:21

Speaker 1: celebrating Devali and the festival of lights. It is traditioned

00:15:26

Speaker 1: to surround your home with as many forms of light

00:15:29

Speaker 1: as possible to welcome good luck into your life. That's

00:15:34

Speaker 1: why he was making lots of little clay lamps called dias.

00:15:39

Speaker 1: He would place them around his house too and light

00:15:42

Speaker 1: them all tomorrow. Lana the bear was enthralled by this

00:15:48

Speaker 1: unique tradition. She had never heard of divali before, but

00:15:52

Speaker 1: it sounded like a very lovely festival. Lana wanted to

00:15:56

Speaker 1: join in. Do you need any help, she asked Margie eagerly.

00:16:03

Speaker 1: Margie was more than happy for Lana to help him

00:16:06

Speaker 1: make some DEAs. Together, they molded the remaining clay into

00:16:12

Speaker 1: the shapes of lots of little DEAs and left the

00:16:16

Speaker 1: clay to dry in the sun. After a couple of hours,

00:16:21

Speaker 1: the clay had solidified and the DEAs were ready for painting.

00:16:28

Speaker 1: Margie and Lana painted the das in all sorts of

00:16:32

Speaker 1: beautiful colors with lots of intricate patterns and shapes. By

00:16:39

Speaker 1: the time they were finished painting and left them out

00:16:42

Speaker 1: to dry again, they looked fantastic. Margie couldn't wait to

00:16:48

Speaker 1: place them around his home. When the das were finally dry,

00:16:55

Speaker 1: Margie and Lana climbed the stairs to his tree house

00:16:59

Speaker 1: and played them by Margie's front door. Margie placed a

00:17:04

Speaker 1: tiny cotton wick in the middle of each deer, ready

00:17:08

Speaker 1: to be lit. The next day, Margie and Lana stood

00:17:14

Speaker 1: back to admire their work in the decorated tree house.

00:17:20

Speaker 1: It is perfect, Margie sighed contentedly. Tomorrow, when all the

00:17:28

Speaker 1: candles were lit, his treehouse would look spectacular. Lana the

00:17:37

Speaker 1: bear checked her watch and realized that she needed to

00:17:41

Speaker 1: return home for lunch with her family, and thanked Margie

00:17:45

Speaker 1: for letting her join him in making his DearS. Margie

00:17:50

Speaker 1: was grateful for Lana's assistance and was happy to have

00:17:54

Speaker 1: someone to share his tradition with. He picked up one

00:17:58

Speaker 1: of the DEAs that Lana had made and handed it

00:18:01

Speaker 1: to her. You can keep this one, he offered her,

00:18:07

Speaker 1: and she cheerfully accepted the gift. Then Margie had an idea.

00:18:14

Speaker 1: Lana had enjoyed taking part in his tradition for Devali,

00:18:19

Speaker 1: so perhaps she would like to experience more of the

00:18:22

Speaker 1: occasion with him. Margie asked, Lana, I'm going to be

00:18:28

Speaker 1: having a special dinner for Devali tomorrow. Would you like

00:18:32

Speaker 1: to join me. Lana was flattered that Margie had invited

00:18:38

Speaker 1: her to join in his celebrations and accepted enthusiastically. Margie

00:18:45

Speaker 1: had one requirement for her attendance. She had to wear

00:18:50

Speaker 1: her favorite clothes, preferably something new. Lana walked back to

00:18:58

Speaker 1: her family's cave for lunch, carefully cradling her very own

00:19:03

Speaker 1: deer lamp and feeling very excited for Margie's dinner celebration.

00:19:09

Speaker 1: The next day. But Margie's preparations didn't stop there. He

00:19:16

Speaker 1: may have all of his lights ready for tomorrow, but

00:19:20

Speaker 1: he still had plenty of decorating to do. The next

00:19:26

Speaker 1: thing on Margie's list was to create rangoli outside of

00:19:31

Speaker 1: his front door. Rangoli were extravagant, colorful patterns and designs,

00:19:38

Speaker 1: usually made to look like flowers and their petals or

00:19:43

Speaker 1: stunning unique shapes. They were believed to welcome wealth and

00:19:48

Speaker 1: good luck into your home. Margie gathered together all of

00:19:53

Speaker 1: the things he would need to make his rangoli. He

00:19:58

Speaker 1: gathered limestone powder and some dry rice flower plus colorful sand,

00:20:05

Speaker 1: some flower petals, and a bunch of colored rocks. He

00:20:10

Speaker 1: would use all of these textured items to put together

00:20:15

Speaker 1: his wrangoli. He swept the balcony outside his front door

00:20:20

Speaker 1: and set to work. As he laid down the outline

00:20:26

Speaker 1: of his wrangoli with limestone powder, he made sure to

00:20:31

Speaker 1: create lots of exciting shapes. He wanted his design to

00:20:36

Speaker 1: look extra special for his guests to admire when they

00:20:39

Speaker 1: came over for dinner tomorrow. Margie finished outlining the shape

00:20:45

Speaker 1: of his wrangoli and was beginning to fill in the

00:20:49

Speaker 1: shapes with colorful rice flower when he heard a jingling

00:20:54

Speaker 1: sound just over his shoulder. All of a sudden, her little,

00:21:01

Speaker 1: high pitched voice piped up and commented, that looks very interesting.

00:21:09

Speaker 1: What is it you are making. Margie looked around and

00:21:15

Speaker 1: saw two little fairies hovering in mid air. They had

00:21:21

Speaker 1: blue skin and large wings. One was an adult and

00:21:26

Speaker 1: one appeared to be a child. Margie smiled and explained

00:21:32

Speaker 1: that he was celebrating divali and the colorful design he

00:21:37

Speaker 1: was creating on the ground was called rangoli. It turned

00:21:43

Speaker 1: out that the two fairies had heard of divali before.

00:21:47

Speaker 1: In fact, in their line of work, they came across

00:21:51

Speaker 1: it quite often. The little blue fairies explained that they

00:21:56

Speaker 1: would dream giving fairies and that they often granted lovely

00:22:01

Speaker 1: dreams where people dreamt of Divari celebrations. However, they had

00:22:07

Speaker 1: never experienced Devali in real life before. Margie was glad

00:22:14

Speaker 1: to meet some other creatures in Sleepy Forest who knew

00:22:18

Speaker 1: what divali was, and he asked them if they would

00:22:22

Speaker 1: like to experience it with him. He offered them the

00:22:26

Speaker 1: opportunity to help him finish the rangoli that he was

00:22:31

Speaker 1: working on. The smallest of the two fairies, who was

00:22:35

Speaker 1: more than eager to join in and instantly dived down

00:22:40

Speaker 1: to pick up some handfuls of colorful sand. Margie and

00:22:46

Speaker 1: the two dream giving fairies who he came to learn

00:22:51

Speaker 1: were named Oriyan and Cosmo, worked together to design a

00:22:56

Speaker 1: spectacularly colorful rangoli design on Margie's treehouse balcony. They used

00:23:04

Speaker 1: all sorts of colors to fill in the lines that

00:23:08

Speaker 1: Margie had created using limestone powder, and the two fairy

00:23:14

Speaker 1: scattered rose petals in the central circle while Margie placed

00:23:20

Speaker 1: colorful rocks around the border. By the time they were finished,

00:23:26

Speaker 1: the wrangoli was absolutely dazzling. Margie completed them by placing

00:23:35

Speaker 1: a few of the clay deer lamps that he had

00:23:38

Speaker 1: made earlier with Lana the Bear in the opposite corners

00:23:42

Speaker 1: of the wrangoli. Wow. The little fairy named Cosmo gasped

00:23:51

Speaker 1: as he flew up into the air to admire the

00:23:54

Speaker 1: rangoli in all its glory. It looks ah absolutely beautiful,

00:24:03

Speaker 1: Frank Golie, looks even better in real life than in dreams.

00:24:10

Speaker 1: Cosmo's father, Orion, agreed, and they thanked Margie for letting

00:24:16

Speaker 1: them assist him. Margie was so grateful to all other

00:24:20

Speaker 1: creatures in Sleepy Forest who had been helping him prepare

00:24:25

Speaker 1: for Devali, and he invited Orian and Cosmo to join himself,

00:24:31

Speaker 1: Bertie and Bobby the Bunnies and Lana the Bear tomorrow

00:24:36

Speaker 1: night for his Divali dinner. Orian and Cosmo promised they

00:24:42

Speaker 1: would wear their finest clothes and flew back off into

00:24:47

Speaker 1: the sky, excitedly discussing what they would wear for the occasion.

00:24:56

Speaker 1: The next morning, Margie woke up feeling pretty He tired

00:25:01

Speaker 1: after a couple of days of preparations for Devali, but

00:25:06

Speaker 1: there was no time to rest. Now to day was

00:25:10

Speaker 1: the big day of celebrations and the official festival of Lights.

00:25:18

Speaker 1: Margie set to work lighting all of the candles, oil lanterns,

00:25:24

Speaker 1: and clay deer lamps that were positioned around his home.

00:25:29

Speaker 1: His tree house looked absolutely spectacular, and all day long,

00:25:37

Speaker 1: residents of Sleepy Forest walked by to admire his amazingly

00:25:42

Speaker 1: festive home. Almost everything was ready for Margie to celebrate

00:25:50

Speaker 1: the special day with his new friends. The only thing

00:25:55

Speaker 1: he needed to do now was to prepare their feast.

00:26:02

Speaker 1: Margie was an excellent cook, and he expertly whipped out

00:26:07

Speaker 1: plenty of delicious foods to share with his new friends.

00:26:12

Speaker 1: He made spicy samosas and a fragrant vegetable curry, plus

00:26:18

Speaker 1: sweet walls of laddus and milky pieces of burfy for dessert.

00:26:24

Speaker 1: It wasn't long before Maggie's guests arrived for dinner. Lana

00:26:29

Speaker 1: the Bear, Bertie and Bobby, and Orion and Cosmo all

00:26:34

Speaker 1: arrived at six o'clock dressed in their finest clothes. Lana

00:26:41

Speaker 1: had made herself a stunning black dress with golden beads

00:26:46

Speaker 1: dripping from the sleeves for the occasion, and Bertie and

00:26:51

Speaker 1: Bobby wore smart waistcoats in colors of magenta and blue.

00:26:57

Speaker 1: Orion and Cosmo wore sparkling silver suits that complimented their

00:27:03

Speaker 1: blue skin excellently. Margie had changed into a golden shawani,

00:27:12

Speaker 1: which was like a suit that draped all the way

00:27:16

Speaker 1: down to his knees. His shawannee had been exquisitely embroidered

00:27:22

Speaker 1: with intricate patterns, and he looked very smart for the occasion.

00:27:28

Speaker 1: All of his guests complimented him on his marvelous clothing.

00:27:34

Speaker 1: Margie's illuminated treehouse looked nothing short of breath taking all

00:27:42

Speaker 1: of the candles, lanterns, and lamps made his home look

00:27:48

Speaker 1: utterly magical. The glow from the lights that surrounded Margie's

00:27:53

Speaker 1: treehouse could be seen bursting through the treetops and into

00:27:59

Speaker 1: the dark night sky all across sleepy forest. Each of

00:28:07

Speaker 1: the new friends proudly showed each other how they had

00:28:11

Speaker 1: helped Margie prepare for Divali. It had been a real

00:28:16

Speaker 1: team effort, and Margie couldn't wait to thank them for

00:28:20

Speaker 1: their assistance by sharing the evening celebrations with them. Margie

00:28:27

Speaker 1: and his new group of friends sat down on his

00:28:31

Speaker 1: tree house balcony and shared the tasty food that Margie

00:28:36

Speaker 1: had spent all day making. Bobby the Bunny declared the

00:28:42

Speaker 1: samosas a taste sensation, and Nana the Bear had to

00:28:49

Speaker 1: stop herself from eating up all the balls of LaDou.

00:28:53

Speaker 1: She absolutely loved them. After dinner, they all played game

00:29:00

Speaker 1: of cards and Bertie kept winning every round. A part

00:29:06

Speaker 1: of celebrating Devli was about giving gifts to loved ones,

00:29:12

Speaker 1: so Margie had prepared a few gifts to hand out

00:29:16

Speaker 1: to his new friends. He had made them all some

00:29:20

Speaker 1: special sweets made of dried fruits called peder. He had

00:29:27

Speaker 1: made each of them a box of the delicious sweets

00:29:31

Speaker 1: so that they could share them with their families at home.

00:29:36

Speaker 1: All of the friends were delighted to have something sweet

00:29:40

Speaker 1: to return home with. They were sure that their families

00:29:45

Speaker 1: would be very thankful for the gift. Slyly Oriyan turned

00:29:52

Speaker 1: to his young son Cosmo and whispered in his ear.

00:29:58

Speaker 1: Cosmo grinned excited delight and nodded his head to his father.

00:30:05

Speaker 1: The pair of fairies shot up into the sky out

00:30:09

Speaker 1: of sight. Margie, Lana, the Bear, Bertie, and Bobby all

00:30:16

Speaker 1: looked at each other, very confused. Why had Orion and

00:30:23

Speaker 1: Cosmo suddenly left without warning? But their question was quickly answered.

00:30:34

Speaker 1: All of a sudden, fireworks began to pop and sparkle

00:30:39

Speaker 1: in the sky. They all looked up into the dark

00:30:44

Speaker 1: night sky and watched the shimmering array of multi colored

00:30:49

Speaker 1: fireworks shoot through the air. They all gasped with delight,

00:30:56

Speaker 1: and Margie clapped his hands with gratitude. The fireworks were

00:31:02

Speaker 1: absolutely perfect for celebrating divali. Orian and Cosmo clearly had

00:31:11

Speaker 1: experienced plenty of Divali celebrations whilst out delivering dreams to

00:31:17

Speaker 1: the people of the world. They knew exactly what was

00:31:22

Speaker 1: needed to complete the night. Orian and Cosmo created a

00:31:29

Speaker 1: dazzling light show for Margie and his friends using their

00:31:35

Speaker 1: fairy magic. All Oversleepy Forest creatures were emerging from their

00:31:43

Speaker 1: homes to watch the impressive celebrations. Devali was being shared

00:31:50

Speaker 1: with everyone, and everybody could enjoy the festivities together. When

00:31:57

Speaker 1: the fireworks show was over, Orion and Cosmo returned to

00:32:04

Speaker 1: Margie's tree house, and Margie thanked them wholeheartedly for such

00:32:11

Speaker 1: a spectacular addition to the festivities. Orian, Cosmo, Bertie, Bobby,

00:32:21

Speaker 1: and Lana the Bear had all loved celebrating de Vli

00:32:26

Speaker 1: with Margie, and Margie was humbled to have made so

00:32:31

Speaker 1: many good friends over the course of the last few days.

00:32:37

Speaker 1: He had plenty to celebrate this Devali. Tomorrow, Margie would

00:32:46

Speaker 1: travel to visit his family and celebrate the last two

00:32:51

Speaker 1: days of de Vli with them. He had lots of

00:32:55

Speaker 1: gifts to share with his brothers and sisters too, and

00:33:00

Speaker 1: he couldn't wait to see them again after so long

00:33:04

Speaker 1: of being apart. Margie was grateful to have been able

00:33:10

Speaker 1: to share his traditions with new friends and celebrate de

00:33:16

Speaker 1: Vali in Sleepy Forest. He had loved teaching them all

00:33:22

Speaker 1: about de Vli, and he was delighted that they had

00:33:27

Speaker 1: all enjoyed learning about it too, Even though Margie had

00:33:34

Speaker 1: been far from home, it had been a very special

00:33:39

Speaker 1: de Vali indeed,
