Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Koala Moon, a podcast of
00:00:14
Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime
00:00:19
Speaker 1: a dream. Before I tell you more about the characters
00:00:25
Speaker 1: in this story, Coco and I want to give a
00:00:28
Speaker 1: big shout out and welcome to the newest members of
00:00:31
Speaker 1: Coco's Club, Lacan and Blake Markey, Adline, seven year old Forest,
00:00:38
Speaker 1: Molly Carton, Malachi in Perth, Alexander and Cameron in Auckland,
00:00:44
Speaker 1: Emmett and Declan. Welcome everyone, and thanks as ever for
00:00:48
Speaker 1: supporting the podcast and for sending in all your messages.
00:00:54
Speaker 1: Thank you also for trying to get used to the
00:00:56
Speaker 1: new name. Enjoy all the extra stories, hours of ad
00:01:01
Speaker 1: free listening coming your way back to tonight's story. It
00:01:05
Speaker 1: features two of our favorite funny and fairy friends, Hector
00:01:10
Speaker 1: and Sonny, but it also stars a couple of cat
00:01:13
Speaker 1: characters too. The first one has been suggested by listeners
00:01:17
Speaker 1: Ariella and Anya, who live in Sheffield with their own little,
00:01:21
Speaker 1: scaredy cat called Bonnie. Their mum, Abby Great Name, wrote
00:01:26
Speaker 1: to us asking if perhaps Coco could help Bonnie get
00:01:29
Speaker 1: over her fears, and our super talented writer Susanna has
00:01:34
Speaker 1: taken on the mission, and just to make the challenge
00:01:37
Speaker 1: a little tougher for herself. She also decided to include
00:01:41
Speaker 1: listener Charlie Kaye's pet, a tuxedo cat called Taco, as
00:01:46
Speaker 1: he really wanted Taco to meet Hector and Sonny and
00:01:50
Speaker 1: to go on an adventure with them. So as a
00:01:53
Speaker 1: thank you for all your loyal listening, here it is
00:01:58
Speaker 1: all wrapped up into a mega fun Halloween special. It
00:02:03
Speaker 1: begins as Hector and Sonny are transported to Sleepy Forest
00:02:07
Speaker 1: by their good friend Sidney the Squirrel, and there they
00:02:10
Speaker 1: meet two cats who aren't celebrating the spooky holiday at all.
00:02:14
Speaker 1: They are scaredy cats and they're too afraid to leave
00:02:18
Speaker 1: the house on Halloween. Luckily, Hector and Sonny are there
00:02:23
Speaker 1: to show them that Halloween doesn't have to be scary
00:02:25
Speaker 1: if you don't want it to be. In fact, it
00:02:28
Speaker 1: can be just fun. Now jump into bed if you're
00:02:32
Speaker 1: not already, and lie back. Perhaps close your eyes or
00:02:37
Speaker 1: just relax them as you take some nice deep breaths.
00:02:41
Speaker 1: This is Hector and Sunny Meet the Scaredy Cats by
00:02:46
Speaker 1: Susannah McLaughlin. One chilly night, two dogs were in the
00:02:58
Speaker 1: warm sitting room of a cozy little house putting on
00:03:01
Speaker 1: their costumes. One of the dogs was a toffee colored
00:03:05
Speaker 1: Cocker Spaniel with dazzling eyes named Sonny, and the other
00:03:08
Speaker 1: one was a golden Retriever with a big smile, named Hector.
00:03:13
Speaker 1: Their owners had spent all afternoon making their costumes and
00:03:16
Speaker 1: now were giggling as they dressed the dogs up, and
00:03:20
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny were giggling along. Sonny's owner zipped up
00:03:24
Speaker 1: Sonny's costume with one last chuckling snort. It was shaped
00:03:29
Speaker 1: like a bread bun, so Sonny was the sausage that
00:03:32
Speaker 1: made up the hot dog. A zigzag of red and
00:03:36
Speaker 1: yellow ran down her back as sauce, and Sonny's owner
00:03:40
Speaker 1: said she looked absolutely delicious. Hector couldn't stop laughing. It
00:03:46
Speaker 1: was such a funny costume, and Sonny grinned along. She
00:03:50
Speaker 1: thought the ketch up really brought out the blue of
00:03:52
Speaker 1: her eyes. Hector's owner looked over his shoulder as he
00:03:56
Speaker 1: finished tying Hector's neck scarf and laughed at reaching over
00:04:01
Speaker 1: to pat her head. You look delightful, Sonny, he said,
00:04:07
Speaker 1: as do you, Hector, he added, sitting back to admire
00:04:10
Speaker 1: his handiwork. Hector was looking dashing in a pink cowboy
00:04:16
Speaker 1: hat and denim jeans, with a sheriff badge on his
00:04:19
Speaker 1: chest and four cowboy boots on his paws. Now it
00:04:24
Speaker 1: was Sonny's turn to giggle. You look like a real cowboy,
00:04:30
Speaker 1: she said a cow dog. The two dogs owners were
00:04:35
Speaker 1: about to take them for an evening walk so they
00:04:38
Speaker 1: could watch the trickle treaters and admire their costumes. As
00:04:42
Speaker 1: they walked down the road, they marveled at glowing lanterns
00:04:46
Speaker 1: and spooky decorations. There were cottonwool spiderwebs draped from doors
00:04:52
Speaker 1: and funny skeletons waving from the windows. Trick or treaters passed,
00:04:58
Speaker 1: buying costumes, which he and Sunny guest as they passed.
00:05:03
Speaker 1: One little girl was dressed as a fairy holding a
00:05:06
Speaker 1: chattering pair of pretend false teeth. Sunny chuckled and barked,
00:05:12
Speaker 1: it's the tooth fairy. A group of little boys were
00:05:17
Speaker 1: disguised as superheroes, and a brother and sister dressed as
00:05:21
Speaker 1: a lion and a tiger holding paws. As they approached
00:05:25
Speaker 1: a shiny red door calling chick or treat. Every single
00:05:31
Speaker 1: one of them was clutching a bucket full of candy
00:05:34
Speaker 1: and chocolate. Hector licked his chops. That candy looks delicious,
00:05:43
Speaker 1: he said. He sniffed the air, and it smells delicious too.
00:05:50
Speaker 1: He sniffed once more, more thoughtfully this time, I think
00:05:57
Speaker 1: I smell something else in the too. Hector's eyes gleamed
00:06:04
Speaker 1: and Sonny's gleamed back. Can you smell magic, Hector? She asked.
00:06:13
Speaker 1: Hector nodded and said he had a feeling they might
00:06:18
Speaker 1: be about to go on an adventure. Just then, all
00:06:24
Speaker 1: the hustle and bustle stopped. Hector and Sonny's owner's froze,
00:06:29
Speaker 1: as did the little costumed ghosts, wizards, and animals that
00:06:34
Speaker 1: surrounded them. The russell alerted the two dogs to the
00:06:39
Speaker 1: little girl nearest to them, the tooth Fairy. Out of
00:06:44
Speaker 1: a pile of candy in her bucket, popped a silver
00:06:48
Speaker 1: shining head. A top of it was a shining black wig.
00:06:54
Speaker 1: They quickly recognized this stowaway, Sidney. The squirrel, wriggled out
00:06:59
Speaker 1: of the candy pile and put his arms in the air,
00:07:02
Speaker 1: shouting trick or treat. The two dogs chuckled. Sydney was
00:07:08
Speaker 1: wearing a white jumpsuit covered in silver sparkling gems and
00:07:13
Speaker 1: holding a microphone. Are you Elvis Presley? Sonny smiled. Sydney
00:07:21
Speaker 1: lifted his wig and grinned. No, Sonny, it's me Sydney.
00:07:29
Speaker 1: He whispered, aren't just dressed like Elvis for Halloween? The
00:07:35
Speaker 1: two dogs chuckled. Are you here to send us an adventure?
00:07:42
Speaker 1: Hector asked. Sydney was always thinking of crazy adventures to
00:07:47
Speaker 1: send the two dogs on. He was like their magical
00:07:50
Speaker 1: guardian angel. Sydney nodded, I was just gathering silver acorns
00:07:57
Speaker 1: in Sleepy Forest, and I I saw all the animals
00:08:01
Speaker 1: getting dressed up in all sorts of cookie costumes. It
00:08:06
Speaker 1: made me wonder what funny get ups you two would
00:08:10
Speaker 1: be wearing. Pew didn't disappoint anyway. Then I thought you
00:08:17
Speaker 1: too might want to go trick or treating too. The
00:08:22
Speaker 1: humans won't understand if you ask them for candy, but
00:08:26
Speaker 1: the animals or Sleepy Forest will. Hector and Sunny barked
00:08:32
Speaker 1: in excitement. Oh yes, please, Sydney. They said they had
00:08:38
Speaker 1: been itching to go back to Sleepy Forest since their
00:08:40
Speaker 1: last trip, and they knew Spooky the bush Baby through
00:08:44
Speaker 1: the most amazing Halloween party every year Sydney pointed to
00:08:50
Speaker 1: the gleaming red door on the house nearest the dogs,
00:08:53
Speaker 1: where a silver, shimmering portal appeared. It's just that way,
00:08:59
Speaker 1: the squirrels said, as always, just barked three times to
00:09:04
Speaker 1: return Happy Halloween. The two dogs wished Sydney a happy
00:09:10
Speaker 1: Halloween back and hurried through the portal. The street melted away,
00:09:16
Speaker 1: to be replaced by trees decorated with fairy lights and
00:09:20
Speaker 1: dotted with jack o' lanterns. The cow dog and the
00:09:24
Speaker 1: hot dog grinned at one another. At their feet were
00:09:28
Speaker 1: two silver plastic buckets, perfect for trickle treating. They walked
00:09:35
Speaker 1: through the trees, oohing and awing at the delicate fairy lights,
00:09:39
Speaker 1: paper garlands, and glowing pumpkins that decorated the path. Not
00:09:46
Speaker 1: far ahead of them, glowing between the trees were the
00:09:49
Speaker 1: windows of a little wooden cabin, which they recognized immediately.
00:09:54
Speaker 1: The two dogs grabbed their buckets and trotted over to
00:09:58
Speaker 1: the cabin, climbing onto the por and knocking on the
00:10:01
Speaker 1: door with huge grins. Sonny counted them down three, two, one,
00:10:10
Speaker 1: and the dogs barked in unison trick or treat. The
00:10:16
Speaker 1: door swung open to reveal a pair of fuzzy gray
00:10:19
Speaker 1: ears poking out of a sheet. Two shining eyes looked
00:10:24
Speaker 1: at them from two holes cut in the front. A
00:10:28
Speaker 1: little happy squeal filled the air. Hector and Sonny, the
00:10:34
Speaker 1: little voice said, and Hector and Sonny grabbed him in
00:10:38
Speaker 1: a cuddle. Happy Halloween, Coco, they said. The little Koala
00:10:44
Speaker 1: was thrilled to see his two friends again. He said,
00:10:48
Speaker 1: he hoped he didn't scare them with his ghost costume.
00:10:51
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny shook their head. Coco didn't look spooky.
00:10:57
Speaker 1: In fact, he looked quite adorable. Ko Ko's grandpa appeared
00:11:02
Speaker 1: behind him and patted the two dogs on their heads.
00:11:06
Speaker 1: He had put on a purple sequinned waistcoat for the
00:11:09
Speaker 1: occasion and wore a headband with two little pumpkins swinging
00:11:14
Speaker 1: from springs over his head. The Koalas were about to
00:11:18
Speaker 1: go trickle treating themselves. They just had to wait for
00:11:22
Speaker 1: the delicious treats they had made to be ready. Coco
00:11:26
Speaker 1: grinned and told them not to worry, though they had
00:11:29
Speaker 1: made toffees this morning, which were all ready to eat.
00:11:33
Speaker 1: He gave two to each dog, one to put in
00:11:36
Speaker 1: their bucket and one to eat. Now the toffee stuck
00:11:40
Speaker 1: Hector's teeth together, so all he could do was make
00:11:44
Speaker 1: yummy noises. In thanks, ko Ko's grandpa told the two
00:11:49
Speaker 1: dogs that they had better get on with their trickle treating.
00:11:52
Speaker 1: Soon the houses would be empty as everyone would be
00:11:56
Speaker 1: at Spooky the bush Baby's house for his Halloween party.
00:12:01
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny nodded and gave Cocoa one last hug
00:12:05
Speaker 1: before heading off into the night to knock on the
00:12:07
Speaker 1: next door. Their buckets soon began to fill. They were
00:12:13
Speaker 1: given cookies from a family of pandas in a bamboo hut,
00:12:17
Speaker 1: and sticky Indian sweets from a malabar squirrel in a treehouse.
00:12:22
Speaker 1: They were given clementine oranges from a friendly sloth named Fudge,
00:12:27
Speaker 1: and candied apples from an armadillo named Peanut. The next
00:12:33
Speaker 1: house they knocked on had no decorations, which seemed peculiar.
00:12:38
Speaker 1: It appeared somebody was there. Light was glowing from windows.
00:12:44
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny trotted up to the door and cooed
00:12:48
Speaker 1: trick or treat as usual. There was a pause and
00:12:52
Speaker 1: then a little wobbly voice replied, oh h sorry, now
00:12:57
Speaker 1: it is home. Hector said that was a shame and
00:13:02
Speaker 1: spun around to trot off to the next house, but
00:13:05
Speaker 1: Sonny stopped him. The voice was wrong. Someone was definitely home.
00:13:12
Speaker 1: Who could have said that if not. Sonny called a
00:13:16
Speaker 1: hello through the door and said it was okay if
00:13:19
Speaker 1: they had no candy. But were they having a happy Halloween?
00:13:24
Speaker 1: The little voice replied, yes, they were happy, thank you,
00:13:28
Speaker 1: but they weren't having a Halloween. Halloween was too scary
00:13:33
Speaker 1: for them. Sonny looked at Hector. Halloween wasn't supposed to
00:13:40
Speaker 1: actually be scary. Hector put his snout through the letterbox.
00:13:46
Speaker 1: We're not scary, he said, take a look. Two little
00:13:52
Speaker 1: eyes looked through the letterbox to see Hector in his
00:13:56
Speaker 1: cowboy outfit and Sonny in her hot dog Both you're
00:14:00
Speaker 1: rinning up at them. The little voice giggled. She called
00:14:05
Speaker 1: into the house, Bonny, come look, these two are too
00:14:10
Speaker 1: spooky a promise. Two more eyes appeared through the letter box,
00:14:15
Speaker 1: and the second animal chuckled. Hector and Sonny heard the
00:14:21
Speaker 1: door knob turn, and the door opened to show two
00:14:25
Speaker 1: little cats. They both looked a little nervous, but they
00:14:29
Speaker 1: had sweet smiles and friendly eyes. Sorry about that, the
00:14:35
Speaker 1: first cat said. He introduced himself as Taco. He was
00:14:39
Speaker 1: black and white in a pattern that made him look
00:14:42
Speaker 1: like he was wearing a suit. The other cat was
00:14:45
Speaker 1: fluffy and had big, pointy ears. We're scaredy cats, Taco said.
00:14:53
Speaker 1: We never go out on Halloween. Hector shook his head
00:14:58
Speaker 1: in disbelief. You've never trickle treated, he said, or been
00:15:05
Speaker 1: to a Halloween party? Have you never carved a pumpkin
00:15:11
Speaker 1: so it looks like it's smiling back at you. The
00:15:15
Speaker 1: cats shook their heads. Well that's a shame, Sonny said.
00:15:22
Speaker 1: Halloween isn't scary, it's fun. Come with us to night.
00:15:28
Speaker 1: We'll look after you. The scaredy cats looked at each
00:15:33
Speaker 1: other hesitantly. I know what will make you braver, Sonny said.
00:15:41
Speaker 1: You need costumes. Hector nodded. One of you can dress
00:15:48
Speaker 1: as a brave lion, he said, and the other one
00:15:54
Speaker 1: can be a brave arm Ah unicorn. The cats smiled.
00:16:03
Speaker 1: That sounded like fun. They welcomed the dogs into their cabin,
00:16:09
Speaker 1: and the four of them set about preparing costumes. First
00:16:13
Speaker 1: up was Taco, who wanted to be the unicorn. They
00:16:16
Speaker 1: looked through the cupboards to find something they could use
00:16:19
Speaker 1: as his horn, Settling on an empty ice cream cone,
00:16:24
Speaker 1: which they attached to his head with a string. They
00:16:27
Speaker 1: looked through his wardrobe and picked out his shiniest clothes,
00:16:32
Speaker 1: a silver jacket and shiny blue trousers. They made him
00:16:36
Speaker 1: a long nose out of an egg carton and a
00:16:40
Speaker 1: tale out of a multicolored feather duster. Next, it was
00:16:44
Speaker 1: Bonnie's turn to become a brave lion. They took cotton
00:16:49
Speaker 1: wool and soaked it in tea until it turned golden,
00:16:53
Speaker 1: then fixed it around Bonnie's face to make a long mane.
00:16:58
Speaker 1: They then covered her fur in golden glitter so that
00:17:02
Speaker 1: she shone like a lion in the African sun. The
00:17:06
Speaker 1: two cats looked at themselves in the mirror with their
00:17:10
Speaker 1: mouths hanging open. They hardly recognized themselves, and you know what,
00:17:18
Speaker 1: they actually felt a little braver already. Come on, scaredy cats,
00:17:25
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny said, let's go. The cowboy, the hot dog,
00:17:31
Speaker 1: the lion, and the unicorn headed off through sleepy forest.
00:17:36
Speaker 1: Natcho and Bonnie looked around them warily at first, but
00:17:40
Speaker 1: their fear drifted away when they saw the fairy lights
00:17:44
Speaker 1: and jack o' lanterns lighting up the path. It's beautiful
00:17:50
Speaker 1: Bonnie said, almost as if there's magic in the air.
00:17:56
Speaker 1: Hector nodded. He was, after all, an expert on these things.
00:18:03
Speaker 1: It is magic, he said, Halloween magic. He held his
00:18:09
Speaker 1: bucket out to the cats and offered them a piece
00:18:12
Speaker 1: of candy. It's the most delicious magic of all, he chuckled.
00:18:21
Speaker 1: The cats munched on toffees and grinned. They felt braver
00:18:26
Speaker 1: by the minute. In the distance, the sound of music
00:18:31
Speaker 1: drifted from between the trees, and a glow of light
00:18:35
Speaker 1: lit the starry sky. Sonny explained that Spooky's Halloween party
00:18:41
Speaker 1: must have started. What better way for the scaredy cats
00:18:46
Speaker 1: to spend their first Halloween. The cats looked at each
00:18:51
Speaker 1: other with alarmed expressions. Sonny smiled and took Bonnie's paw.
00:18:58
Speaker 1: His name is Spooky, but he isn't scary. He's an
00:19:03
Speaker 1: adorable little bush baby, and he's one of the most
00:19:08
Speaker 1: friendliest creatures in the whole forest. And that's saying something.
00:19:14
Speaker 1: As they approached the clearing where Spooky's teepee stood, more
00:19:19
Speaker 1: and more decorations hung from the trees. There were jack
00:19:23
Speaker 1: o lanterns of all sizes, carved with all kinds of
00:19:28
Speaker 1: friendly faces. Hector pointed out too with cat faces, and
00:19:34
Speaker 1: Bonnie and Tacco beamed. There were garlands of cute drawings
00:19:38
Speaker 1: of ghosts and spider webs, cauldrons and black cats cut
00:19:44
Speaker 1: out from paper and hung on strings. The sound of
00:19:49
Speaker 1: chatter and music washed over them as they stepped out
00:19:53
Speaker 1: into the clearing. There were more garlands strung beneath the
00:19:58
Speaker 1: trees and lights everywhere. Costumed animals danced, chattered, ate snacks,
00:20:07
Speaker 1: and waved hello at the arriving guests. A big, wispy
00:20:13
Speaker 1: cloud came floating towards them. Two little legs poked out
00:20:18
Speaker 1: from the bottom, running with a pitapatter. A squeak came
00:20:23
Speaker 1: from within the cloud. Hector and Sonny, Happy Halloween, the
00:20:30
Speaker 1: cloud said. Two paws emerged from the cloud and parted
00:20:35
Speaker 1: some of its fluff, revealing the face of Spooky the
00:20:39
Speaker 1: bush Baby. Everyone knew Halloween was Spooky's favorite time of
00:20:45
Speaker 1: the year, and his beaming grin confirmed it. Spooky looked
00:20:51
Speaker 1: at the cats confusedly. He'd never met this lion before,
00:20:55
Speaker 1: nor this unicorn. The scaredy cats beamed a hello at him.
00:21:00
Speaker 1: The dogs were right, Spooky wasn't scary at all. Spooky
00:21:06
Speaker 1: complimented their outfits, and they complimented his in return. With
00:21:12
Speaker 1: so many guests to greet, Spooky was soon off in
00:21:15
Speaker 1: a whirlwind of fluff, leaving Hector, Sonny and the Scaredy
00:21:19
Speaker 1: Cats to enjoy the party. Hector sniffed, I smell something delicious,
00:21:29
Speaker 1: he said, trotting off into Spooky's teepee. Sonny giggled and
00:21:35
Speaker 1: told the cats that nothing could keep Hector from the
00:21:38
Speaker 1: scent of treats. By the time the cats made their
00:21:42
Speaker 1: way to the table, Hector was halfway through a bright
00:21:46
Speaker 1: orange cupcake, which had been iced to look like a pumpkin.
00:21:51
Speaker 1: He smiled a frosting covered grin and passed Sonny and
00:21:55
Speaker 1: the cats their own cupcakes. Bonnie squeaked when she saw
00:21:59
Speaker 1: that hers was painted to look like a ghost. Then
00:22:03
Speaker 1: she chuckled and began looking up the icing. Before long,
00:22:08
Speaker 1: a real ghost appeared next to them, Piling more trees
00:22:12
Speaker 1: onto the table. Big gray ears indicated once more that
00:22:18
Speaker 1: this was their little friend, Coco. Coco greeted the Scaredy Cats,
00:22:24
Speaker 1: who gave him warm hellos. They explained that the trio
00:22:29
Speaker 1: had met one bonfire night when the cats were hiding
00:22:32
Speaker 1: under the tablecloth from the sound of the fireworks. They
00:22:36
Speaker 1: hadn't looked so different than Coco did now. Coco told
00:22:41
Speaker 1: the scaredy cats how happy he was to see them,
00:22:44
Speaker 1: and invited the four new friends to join him on
00:22:48
Speaker 1: the dance floor. They joined the group of costumed animals,
00:22:53
Speaker 1: boogieing away and grooved to the Halloween themed music until
00:22:58
Speaker 1: they were two thirsty to continue, at which point they
00:23:02
Speaker 1: visited the refreshments, where Peanut the Armadillo was ladling out
00:23:07
Speaker 1: goblets of pumpkin juice. They played games and ate toffee
00:23:12
Speaker 1: covered apples on cozy chairs around the campfire. By the
00:23:17
Speaker 1: time the moon was high in the sky, the animals
00:23:21
Speaker 1: were beginning to get sleepy. Bonnie's mane was hanging off,
00:23:27
Speaker 1: and someone had taken a bite out of Taco's ice
00:23:30
Speaker 1: cream cone horn, but the two cats were grinning from
00:23:35
Speaker 1: ear to ear. Hector let out a big yawn, and
00:23:41
Speaker 1: Sunny yawned in agreement. It's time for us to be going,
00:23:48
Speaker 1: I think, Hector, Sonny said. Hector nodded the cats, wrapped
00:23:55
Speaker 1: the two dogs up in a hug and told them,
00:23:58
Speaker 1: thank you, thank you for helping us be less scaredy.
00:24:05
Speaker 1: Taco said, we had a wonderful Halloween, and we can't
00:24:13
Speaker 1: wait for next year. Bonnie added, I think I want
00:24:18
Speaker 1: to dress as a pumpkin next year, and I think
00:24:22
Speaker 1: Taco would make an amazing wizard. Hector and Sonny grinned
00:24:28
Speaker 1: and nodded with agreement. They were so glad the two
00:24:32
Speaker 1: cats had had such a wonderful night and that they
00:24:36
Speaker 1: had been a part of it. They handed over their
00:24:40
Speaker 1: buckets of candy to the two cats, who happily accepted them,
00:24:45
Speaker 1: explaining that their owners may be a little confused over
00:24:50
Speaker 1: where the two dogs had found them. Anyway, they'd eaten
00:24:54
Speaker 1: enough candy tonight to last them a year. The dogs
00:24:59
Speaker 1: yawn one last yawn and barked three times. Opening up
00:25:05
Speaker 1: a portal in a nearby tree, they waggled their paws
00:25:09
Speaker 1: at the cats and walked back through. They quickly found
00:25:14
Speaker 1: themselves right where they started, in their own neighborhood, surrounded
00:25:20
Speaker 1: by their owners and a smattering of trick or treaters
00:25:24
Speaker 1: who were still frozen in time. With Cowboy Hector and
00:25:30
Speaker 1: hot Dog Sonny back in position, the clocks started ticking
00:25:36
Speaker 1: once more, and their owners continued to stroll along the pavement.
00:25:42
Speaker 1: The children around them kept singing, playing franking one another,
00:25:48
Speaker 1: and playing trickle treat on the adults. The scene was
00:25:53
Speaker 1: so joyful Hector and Sonny decided that they still had
00:25:58
Speaker 1: the energy for a shore walk. They watched the Little Monsters,
00:26:04
Speaker 1: baby Zombies, and Witches and Wizards playing in the streets
00:26:10
Speaker 1: with smiley if sleepy eyes. After one loop of the block,
00:26:18
Speaker 1: Hector and Sonny sat down at their owner's feet and
00:26:22
Speaker 1: looked up at them. The pops look awfully sleepy to me.
00:26:28
Speaker 1: Hector's owner said to Sonny's owner, shall we cut the
00:26:33
Speaker 1: walk short and go back to my house to watch
00:26:36
Speaker 1: a movie? I have pizza and Halloween treats. Sonny's owner
00:26:43
Speaker 1: chuckled and nodded that sounded absolutely perfect. Very soon, Hector
00:26:52
Speaker 1: and Sonny found themselves curled up in front of the fireplace,
00:26:57
Speaker 1: listening to their owner's chatter and a low buzz of
00:27:01
Speaker 1: the TV, and slipping off into dreamland. Hector had refused
00:27:09
Speaker 1: to take off his cowboy hat and dreamt that he
00:27:13
Speaker 1: was roaming the plains of the New Frontier riding a
00:27:18
Speaker 1: horse to his next adventure. As for Sonny, she had
00:27:24
Speaker 1: happily taken off her costume and was dreaming the most
00:27:30
Speaker 1: relaxing dream of being a pumpkin in a pumpkin patch
00:28:01
Speaker 1: U
