[00:03:39] It was one of those lazy Sunday evenings.

[00:03:43] You know the ones.

[00:03:44] You've woken up a bit late because it's the weekend.

[00:03:47] And your human doesn't have to go to work.

[00:03:50] You go out into the garden for a quick wee.

[00:03:54] Then you lie under the table while your human makes a cup of tea, eats some eggs and reads the newspaper.

[00:04:03] A bit later, you go out for a walk to the park.

[00:04:07] Maybe you bark at some of your friends.

[00:04:10] Maybe you dig a big hole and get your paws all muddy.

[00:04:14] So your human says, make sure you don't get dirt all over the backseat of my car, you naughty pup.

[00:04:22] Though, you know, he doesn't actually mean you're naughty because he's smiling at you, which is the human version of having your tongue lolling out of your mouth.

[00:04:32] It means they're happy.

[00:04:34] When you get back home, your human makes themselves some supper and probably another cup of tea too.

[00:04:41] Because there's nothing humans seem to love more than drinking cups of tea.

[00:04:47] Then you go into the living room and curl up on your favourite patch of rug, right by your human's woolly-socked feet.

[00:04:56] And do one of your absolute favourite things to do in the world.

[00:05:01] Doze.

[00:05:03] It's truly a dog's life, isn't it?

[00:05:08] It was a lazy Sunday evening just like that.

[00:05:13] Hector and Sunny were curled up on the rug in Hector's living room, while Hector's human sat on the armchair, reading his book.

[00:05:22] The sun had set outside, leaving a whispery purple haze through the window,

[00:05:29] punctuated only by the rosy glow of the streetlights outside.

[00:05:35] Hector's mind was wandering, as it often did on lazy evenings.

[00:05:41] He was taking a trip through his memory, going back through all of the adventures he and his best friend Sunny had been on.

[00:05:51] All the way back to when they first met.

[00:05:56] Ah, to when they first met.

[00:06:00] Hector's head.

[00:06:02] That gave him an idea.

[00:06:05] Hector lifted his head off his folded paws and looked at his human.

[00:06:10] He gave a little yip.

[00:06:14] There was no response.

[00:06:16] So he gave another.

[00:06:19] Hector's human lowered his book a couple of inches and peered over the top of the pages,

[00:06:25] her suspicious frown furrowing his forehead.

[00:06:29] By this time, Sunny had realized what was going on.

[00:06:34] She too lifted her head from her paws, waggled her floppy spaniel ears, and gave a supportive yip.

[00:06:43] Yip, yip, yip, yip.

[00:06:48] Hector's human laid his book down on his lap and threw up his arms.

[00:06:53] Okay, okay, he said with a dramatic sigh.

[00:06:58] They knew he didn't really mean.

[00:07:01] I know what you want.

[00:07:04] So okay, you can stop that yapping.

[00:07:08] Hector and Sunny exchanged a smile and stared at Hector's human with their tongues hanging out of their mouths.

[00:07:18] So, Hector's human said, you want a story?

[00:07:23] They let out a bark that meant, yes, yes, please.

[00:07:27] Well, which one do you want?

[00:07:30] Do you want the one about when Sunny's mom came over for tea and you ate all the cookies she baked?

[00:07:37] Woof, they said, which meant no.

[00:07:41] Well, do you want the one where Snowy and Ginger, those crafty cats from next door, stole your bone and hid it up a tree?

[00:07:52] Woof, they repeated.

[00:07:54] No, not that one.

[00:07:56] He knew they didn't want that one.

[00:07:58] He knew exactly which one they wanted.

[00:08:01] He was simply pulling their legs.

[00:08:05] Okay, said Hector's human, relenting with a smile and a sigh.
