[00:02:35] Anyway, here's a preview of this very special episode.

[00:02:46] Imogen and her parents moved from 23 Buttercup Drive to 46B, the White House, almost five months ago.

[00:02:55] Christmas was just around the corner, and every single landing in the tower block proved that point completely.

[00:03:03] There were more sparkly things and shiny things and sprigs of mistletoe and green holly alongside bright red berries than Imogen had ever thought possible.

[00:03:16] They had left summer sunshine and warm days lying on the grass in the garden, moving just a few miles across the city to a place where gardens were packed onto balconies.

[00:03:28] Or there was the huge communal garden, the park, right across from the four-tall tower block.

[00:03:37] Imogen had never moved home before, and truth be told, she'd been worried.

[00:03:42] But now, four months in, she knew it was one of the best things to ever happen to her.

[00:03:50] She had more friends than she'd ever thought possible.

[00:03:54] And thanks to her cheerful smiles as she ran up and down the 46 flights of stairs to her home near the top of the White House, she even had a new name.

[00:04:05] Immy.

[00:04:06] She was now Immy.

[00:04:09] And she'd found it so lovely to have a special new name that she'd chosen one for the boy who lived in 46B in the Pink House, the tower block right alongside hers.

[00:04:20] He said, howdy, and wore cowboy hats, and was obsessed with horses.

[00:04:27] So when Immy heard someone talking about a cowboy called Billy the Kid, she knew her friend was getting that name.

[00:04:36] When Immy wasn't hanging out with Naya, the tiny Indian lady who lived in 46C, or Mr and Mrs Chan, the retired couple in 46A, who argued from dawn until dusk, she was rushing around with Billy.

[00:04:53] Even the people who kept themselves to themselves behind the closed doors of their apartments in the tower blocks knew Immy and Billy.

[00:05:02] There were other children who lived there too, of course, but most of them seemed to spend their time wrapped up indoors and staring at computer screens or watching television programs Immy had never heard of.

[00:05:16] She and Billy liked moving, always moving, and they danced or hopped or skipped or ran their way up and down the stairs and round the courtyards of the four tall buildings that together made up the Colour Gardens residential living community.

[00:05:39] Given that it was now so close to Christmas, they were always humming jingle bells or Santa Claus is coming to town as they bounced around the buildings.

[00:05:51] There were moments when Immy missed the peace and quiet of the garden back at 23 Buttercup Drive, but they were few and far between.

[00:06:02] She imagined what it was like back in the summer when she would lie in the grass by herself and make daisy chains for nobody in particular.

[00:06:13] And she remembered sweeping up leaves in the autumn, piling them together in little damp bundles, flashes of red and yellow amongst the brown.

[00:06:23] And now that Christmas was coming, she remembered how they'd put strings of fairy lights through all the trees and bushes,

[00:06:32] and how her parents had always put two reindeer out on the front lawn, and how they lit up at night too.

[00:06:40] Then there was the great ceremony when they'd go to the garden centre every year and choose the tree that would sit in the corner of the living room,

[00:06:51] picking one that was bushy and tall and a lovely, friendly sort of shape.
