Speaker 1: tonight we're joining the Jupiter Twins as they got up

Speaker 1: to more magical mischief when they discover a swept swapping

Speaker 1: spell which allows them to change bodies and take the

Speaker 1: other's place for a day. Before I get started, let's

Speaker 1: make sure we're as cozy and comfy as possible in bed.

Speaker 1: Do whatever your body needs to feel relaxed. Perhaps stretch, wriggle,

Speaker 1: Jupiter were out in the playing field, flying on their broomsticks.

Speaker 1: They'd taken them from the broomstick cupboard and run out

Speaker 1: into the bright spring day, and now they were swooping
00:02:52
Speaker 1: to and fro practicing their moves. Wow, Jake said. Lily

Speaker 1: perched hovering her broomstick and panting a little from the exertion.

Speaker 1: I can't believe how good at flying you are. In

Speaker 1: front of her, her twin brother was making the hardest
00:03:11
Speaker 1: and most hair raising tricks. Looked like nothing more than

Speaker 1: a walk in the park. He was doing loop the

Speaker 1: loops and hung off his broom by one hand. He

Speaker 1: stood up on his broom while it soared through the air,

Speaker 1: and then making Lily's stomach itself do a somersault, he

Speaker 1: did a backflip of it, and somehow the broom caught

Speaker 1: him before he hit the ground, and he was shooting

Speaker 1: up high into the sky again. I wish I could

Speaker 1: fly like you, Lily said, with a sigh. You're a

Speaker 1: brilliant flyer, Lily, Jake said, landing lightly on the ground

Speaker 1: beside her. Thanks, she said, but not like you. Well,

Speaker 1: there are many things that you're very good at that

Speaker 1: I find pretty tough. Like what she asked, Well, Jake

Speaker 1: touched his chin as he thought. You have an unbelievable memory,

Speaker 1: he said. You can remember a gazillion spells and I

Speaker 1: can only remember like three. That is true, said Lily

Speaker 1: with a laugh. And you're so quick at reading, Jake

Speaker 1: went on, you can read three books in the time

Speaker 1: it takes me to read a page. You're right, said Lily.

Speaker 1: They were both laughing now, But we are exactly the

Speaker 1: same as each other at making potions. She added, Yes,

Speaker 1: Jake agreed exactly the same. Then the bell rang for class. Then,

Speaker 1: as Lily and Jake went back into the academy building

Speaker 1: to put their broomsticks away, they carried on their conversation,

Speaker 1: which was one of their favorite conversations to have. Even

Speaker 1: though they were twins, and even though they might enjoy
00:05:16
Speaker 1: doing absolutely everything together, there were lots of ways in

Speaker 1: which the Jupiter twins were unlike, and they loved to

Speaker 1: explore their similarities and differences. Same parents, same birthday, same

Speaker 1: brown hair, but different favorite colors. Lili's was green and

Speaker 1: Jake's was orange. That was one of the strangest things

Speaker 1: about being a twin. You were so similar, but you

Speaker 1: were different too. Wouldn't it be fun to have the

Speaker 1: chance to swap places, the Jupiter twins would often say

Speaker 1: to each other, just for one day, just to see

Speaker 1: what it's like, would be so cool, they agreed. As

Speaker 1: they walked a class, they passed by the prophecy teacher

Speaker 1: mister Clairvoyant, who wore long white robes and had glasses

Speaker 1: that made his eyes look super big, like a bug's.

Speaker 1: It was well known that mister Clairvoyant was sometimes very

Speaker 1: kindly and sometimes quite mean tempered. He never could tell

Speaker 1: which way he might be on any one day. The

Speaker 1: students all believed that in the morning he looked into

Speaker 1: the future, and depending on what he saw, that dictated

Speaker 1: whether he'd be nice or not. Tap your shirt in,

Speaker 1: Lily jupied up, mister Clairvoyant said, rather sharply, as the

Speaker 1: twins passed by him. Lily did as she was told,

Speaker 1: but afterwards she looked at her brother and saw that

Speaker 1: his shirt was untucked. Mister Clairvoyant is always telling me off,

Speaker 1: Lily said, but he never tells you off. I'm sure

Speaker 1: that isn't true, Jake said, he probably just didn't see

Speaker 1: my shirt. The Jupiter twins soon forgot this incident. When

Speaker 1: they'd arrived at their class to day, they were learning

Speaker 1: about all kinds of wonderful charms, like how to make

Speaker 1: a dusty old hat disappear from one side of the

Speaker 1: room and appear on the other, and how to turn

Speaker 1: each other's hair different colors. Unfortunately, Jake got the words

Speaker 1: of the incantation mixed up at one point and accidentally

Speaker 1: turned one of his friend's noses bright blue. The teacher

Speaker 1: had to come and mutter a spell under his breath
00:07:45
Speaker 1: to turn it back. At the end of the class,

Speaker 1: just as their teacher was congratulating them all on their

Speaker 1: hard work, Lily gave Jake a surreptitious nudge with her elbow.

Speaker 1: slid her textbook under his nose. It had fallen open

Speaker 1: been that one of the levitating spells that carried the

Speaker 1: platters of food to the tables had malfunctioned, spilling a

Speaker 1: doll up of custard right on top of Jake's head.

Speaker 1: thing is it's a hard spell, harder than anything we've

Speaker 1: done before. But you're so good at spell casting, Lily.

Speaker 1: Her brother persevered, I just know you can do it.

Speaker 1: Come on, we can't miss this chance to find out

Speaker 1: what it's like to be the other Jupiter. Lily agreed.

Speaker 1: They simply couldn't miss the chance. So they agreed that

Speaker 1: they would perform the spell the next morning before breakfast time,

Speaker 1: each other's bodies. That evening, it took Lily and Jake

Speaker 1: quite a while to fall asleep, for they were both

Speaker 1: very excited about what the next day would bring. The

Speaker 1: incantation under her breath. Okay, she said, finally, I think

Speaker 1: do it, Lily said Jake. Lily cleared her throat, gave

Speaker 1: the page of the spell book one last glance, then

Speaker 1: began to speak the words of the incantation in a

Speaker 1: swappety swoo. At first Jake fell nothing at all. He

Speaker 1: wasn't sure, in fact, that the spell had worked, and

Speaker 1: he was just about to ask Lily if she could

Speaker 1: feel anything, when there was a strange, gurgling sensation in

Speaker 1: his head. It was like the sound of water running

Speaker 1: down a plug, except it wasn't a sound, it was

Speaker 1: a feeling. Then, with a little pop, his mind slipped

Speaker 1: right out of his head. He knew that sounded a

Speaker 1: little bit strange, but that's the only way he could
00:12:35
Speaker 1: describe it. It was like his mind had slipped out

Speaker 1: from his head and was now floating up over his body.

Speaker 1: He could see himself standing there below, and he could

Speaker 1: see Lily too, both of them standing stock still, but

Speaker 1: he or his mind was drifting up towards the ceiling

Speaker 1: a few feet a above his body. Jake's mind rose

Speaker 1: in an arc over the room and then began to descend,

Speaker 1: But it didn't descend towards his own body, but towards Lili's.

Speaker 1: Then there was another sucking pop sound. His mind slipped

Speaker 1: right into Lily's body. He touched his hair, Wow, it

Speaker 1: was long. He touched his face, Wow, his skin felt
00:13:33
Speaker 1: sort of the same. But that no, certainly wasn't his

Speaker 1: He looked down. Those weren't his robes. His had a
00:13:44
Speaker 1: pale gold piping on them, but these ones had green piping,
00:13:50
Speaker 1: and those certainly weren't his shoes. Jake looked up, and
00:13:55
Speaker 1: that's when he had the weirdest vision of all. To

Speaker 1: tell the truth, it made him feel a little dizzy.

Speaker 1: There standing right in front of him, with a look

Speaker 1: of utter confusion on his face, was well, it was him, Jake,

Speaker 1: Except not Jake, it was Lily in Jake's body. Spooky

Speaker 1: Lily was staring at her hands in wonder, or really

Speaker 1: at Jake's hands. Then she lifted her foot and, as

Speaker 1: though she were only just learning to walk, took a

Speaker 1: clumsy step forward. Whoa, she said, you have really big feet. No,

Speaker 1: I don't, said Jake, though he spoke with Lily's voice.

Speaker 1: My feet are normal sized. No they're not, she said, giggling.

Speaker 1: Jake watched as his own body wondered about the snug

Speaker 1: lifting his feet heavily and clumping them back down. They're huge.

Speaker 1: You're like a clown. I'm not, Jake said. Then his

Speaker 1: long hair or Lily's hair, fell messily over his face.

Speaker 1: All this hair, he said, how do you stand? It

Speaker 1: isn't it always getting in your eyes? Lily laughed as

Speaker 1: she watched her brother trying desperately to push her own

Speaker 1: hair off his face. Look at your wrist, she said,

Speaker 1: that might help. Jake looked down and saw a hairband

Speaker 1: wrapped around his wrist. He slipped it off and tied

Speaker 1: the long brown hair back. That was better now, he said,

Speaker 1: Let's go see what it's like being each other. So

Speaker 1: off they went, the Jupiter twins for what might seemed

Speaker 1: to everyone else like a completely normal day at Leora Academy,

Speaker 1: but for them it would be a very odd day, indeed,

Speaker 1: a topsy turvy day the day of the swippety Swap.

Speaker 1: At breakfast, they sat in their normal seats, but both

Speaker 1: of them had to remember that when people asked some questions,

Speaker 1: they were actually asking the other Jupiter in the question,

Speaker 1: and they had to answer recordingly. When Jessica Strang, the

Speaker 1: captain of another house's flight board team, gave Lily a
00:16:35
Speaker 1: stern look, she had to remember the look was actually
00:16:40
Speaker 1: intended for Jake, with whom Jessica had a friendly rivalry.

Speaker 1: And when Jake took a mouthful of pickled newts, which

Speaker 1: he usually loved. He found he didn't like the taste

Speaker 1: at all, but beside him, Lily gave him a nudge

Speaker 1: and he had to chew the newts and swallow them

Speaker 1: and smile, just as Lily would on any normal day.

Speaker 1: When it was time for flying practice, they grabbed their

Speaker 1: brooms from the cupboard and headed outside. It was just

Speaker 1: got some rather quizzical looks from their classmates, but they

Speaker 1: probably just thought that Jake was being his usual odd self.

Speaker 1: When Jake in Lily's body got under his broom, Lily

Speaker 1: herself sidled over to him and whispered in his ear,

Speaker 1: casting class. Jake was delighted to discover that now he

Speaker 1: around the room, he turned a cat into a bat

Speaker 1: chair grow feet and run around the room doing a

Speaker 1: funny dance. All the class cheered, and the teacher clapped

Speaker 1: his hands with great joy and said, well done, Lily,

Speaker 1: very impressive work. Jake was about to say it wasn't Lily,

Speaker 1: it was me, but stopped himself just in the nick

Speaker 1: of time. Besides, he thought to himself a little curiously,

Speaker 1: he supposed it was Lily in a way. Later, as

Speaker 1: they walked down the corridor, the Jupiter twins passed by

Speaker 1: he said, and Lily, who was in Jake's body, went

Speaker 1: to tuck in her shirt before she realized that mister

Speaker 1: Clairvoyant wasn't talking to her at all. Lily Jupiter said,

Speaker 1: mister Clairvoyant, I won't ask again. Lily had to nudge

Speaker 1: Jake beside her and whisper, he means you Jake quickly

Speaker 1: tucked in his shirt, or rather Lily's shirt, and mister

Speaker 1: clare Voyant disappeared down the hallway. Jake remembered what Lily

Speaker 1: had told him this morning, that mister Clairvoyant always seemed

Speaker 1: to tell her to tuck her shirt in, or tidy

Speaker 1: her desk, or not to run in the corridors, but

Speaker 1: never told him off. This morning, he hadn't believed her,

Speaker 1: But now, after being in her body and experiencing that

Speaker 1: small difference in treatment, he saw that it was true.

Speaker 1: Jake looped his arm around Lily's shoulders. I'm sorry for

Speaker 1: not believing you this morning, he said about mister Clairvoyant.

Speaker 1: It's not fair when one person is treated differently than another.

Speaker 1: Next time it happens, I'll speak up for you, Lily,

Speaker 1: I promise. Lily felt her heart, or rather Jake's heart,

Speaker 1: Lily and Jake exchanged a look, wondering what Doctor Howard

Speaker 1: you entered. Sometimes it had a waterfall in it. Sometimes

Speaker 1: it was padded with bright pink cushions and filled with

Speaker 1: a sweet incense. Today, when Lily and Jake walked in,

Speaker 1: it was as though they'd stepped into a cool and

Speaker 1: shady forest with hundreds of butterflies fluttering around. Doctor Howard

Speaker 1: was sat in the middle of the forest at her desk,

Speaker 1: and she invited them to sit down. There was a

Speaker 1: curious smile on her face that the twins couldn't quite read.

Speaker 1: she said. They told her that yes, they were well,

Speaker 1: Lily and Jake, she said, looking at them one after

Speaker 1: the other, Or should I say Lily? She looked at

Speaker 1: Jake and Jake looking now at Lily. Oh dear, the

Speaker 1: Jupiter twins thought, at the exact same moment, she knows,

Speaker 1: did you think? Doctor Howard went on that I don't

Speaker 1: have ways of discovering when children are using magic far

Speaker 1: beyond their ear. I am, after all, the head master

Speaker 1: of this school. But as she spoke these words, she

Speaker 1: was still smiling, and both Jake and Lily knew she
