[00:02:32] Anyway, here's a preview of this very special episode.

[00:02:44] Deep in the heart of a faraway forest stood a cosy wooden cabin.

[00:02:50] Inside the cabin lived a family of koalas.

[00:02:54] Except one of them wasn't a koala.

[00:02:58] She was a panda bear.

[00:03:00] That's because Kira the panda had arrived in Sleepy Forest to be adopted by the family of koalas.

[00:03:07] Overnight, Kira got a new mum, a new dad, and a new big brother too.

[00:03:13] That was Coco.

[00:03:15] But even though she loved them very much, she did wonder from time to time what her life would be like if she hadn't been adopted.

[00:03:23] If she lived, not with a family of koalas, but with a family of pandas.

[00:03:30] That was the peculiar thing Kira found about being adopted.

[00:03:35] She could feel an immense sense of belonging with her koala family,

[00:03:39] at the same time, her sometimes wondering about the alternatives and having questions too.

[00:03:46] Luckily, Kira and Coco's mum said this was perfectly normal.

[00:03:52] It's okay, she told Kira one night when she was tucking her into bed,

[00:03:58] to feel two seemingly opposite things at the same time.

[00:04:03] And, in fact, it's not only normal to have questions about yourself and your life, it's healthy.

[00:04:11] Just because you miss the company of other panda bears doesn't mean that you love us any less.

[00:04:18] We understand that, my darling.

[00:04:21] All of us who live here in Sleepy Forest are complex creatures.

[00:04:27] We contain multitudes.

[00:04:35] We contain multitudes.

[00:04:38] But she liked it.

[00:04:40] It made her imagine herself as a big house,

[00:04:45] inside which lived lots of other mini Kiras.

[00:04:48] And sometimes these Kiras got along,

[00:04:51] and sometimes these Kiras disagreed.

[00:04:55] Some of them thought purple was the best colour in the whole world.

[00:05:00] And some of them thought the best colour was actually yellow.

[00:05:04] Some of them thought eucalyptus,

[00:05:07] which was koala's favourite food,

[00:05:09] and which her mum served for dinner very often,

[00:05:12] was delicious.

[00:05:14] And some of the others, quite frankly, weren't so sure.

[00:05:18] But even though all these mini Kiras didn't always agree with each other,

[00:05:24] that was okay.

[00:05:25] Because, in the end,

[00:05:27] they were all still her.

[00:05:31] And so, from time to time,

[00:05:34] Kira wondered what it would be like

[00:05:36] to spend some time with some other panda bears.

[00:05:39] And she didn't feel bad about it.

[00:05:41] The only problem was,

[00:05:43] there were no other pandas living nearby in sleepy forest.

[00:05:48] There were grizzly bears and brown bears,

[00:05:52] sun bears and sloth bears.

[00:05:54] There was even a family of polar bears.

[00:05:57] But there were no panda bears,

[00:05:59] so Kira couldn't have spent time with them,

[00:06:02] even if she wanted.

[00:06:04] But then, one evening,

[00:06:07] Kira and Coco's dad came home with some pretty exciting news.

[00:06:12] A new family had moved into sleepy forest.

[00:06:16] A family of panda bears.

[00:06:19] They were called the Pookie Pandas,

[00:06:21] and they'd moved in way on the other side of the forest,

[00:06:25] where tall bamboo trees grew up into the sky.

[00:06:30] Kira's dad had met the Pookie family today.

[00:06:33] And said they seemed very friendly indeed.

[00:06:36] He had told them that his daughter was a panda bear,

[00:06:40] and the Pookies had been very excited.

[00:06:43] They said that they'd love to meet her.

[00:06:47] So, what do you say, Kira?

[00:06:49] Her dad asked with a gentle smile.

[00:06:52] Do you fancy meeting the Pookie Pandas?
