Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Kuala Moon, a podcast of
00:00:14
Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime
00:00:19
Speaker 1: a dream. Tonight, I'd like to say hi to Isaac,
00:00:24
Speaker 1: who's listening with his mum in Tasmania. We love hearing
00:00:27
Speaker 1: from you, and a delighted you are such a fan
00:00:29
Speaker 1: of Isaac's football dreams. Written by Kaarina Price for her
00:00:33
Speaker 1: little boy, Tonight's bedtime story is very different, but still
00:00:38
Speaker 1: truly magical. We hope you like it. Soon we'll travel
00:00:43
Speaker 1: to Sleepy Forest and find out what our friendly little
00:00:46
Speaker 1: sleep fairy Midnight is up to. With the help of
00:00:49
Speaker 1: her sisters, we find her preparing a lavish party to
00:00:53
Speaker 1: celebrate the appearance of the beautiful Harvest Moon. Are you
00:00:58
Speaker 1: ready to meet the spectacle kill us star studded guests.
00:01:02
Speaker 1: You'll hear about them tonight, and maybe the next time
00:01:05
Speaker 1: you look up into the star filled night sky you'll
00:01:08
Speaker 1: see them again. Now, let's relax our bodies and our
00:01:13
Speaker 1: minds as we get comfy. Make sure the lights are
00:01:17
Speaker 1: low or off and your curtains are closed, and then
00:01:21
Speaker 1: lie down in bed and take a lovely deep breath
00:01:24
Speaker 1: in through your nose and as you let it out.
00:01:28
Speaker 1: See if you can open your mouth really wide and
00:01:32
Speaker 1: yawn and again, breathe in and yawn it out. M lovely,
00:01:45
Speaker 1: It's time to close your eyes, fly down into dusky,
00:01:50
Speaker 1: sleepy forest and meet the party of guests and discover
00:01:55
Speaker 1: what happens when the special Harvest Moon appears. This is
00:02:01
Speaker 1: Midnight in the Harvest Moon by Gillian Rogerson. It was
00:02:13
Speaker 1: a special evening in Sleepy Forest, one that would be
00:02:17
Speaker 1: celebrated by the nighttime animals and those magical beings who
00:02:21
Speaker 1: dwelt amongst them. The celebration was to mark the enchanting
00:02:25
Speaker 1: beauty of the harvest Moon that would soon fill the
00:02:28
Speaker 1: night sky with a beautiful orange glow. The Harvest Moon
00:02:33
Speaker 1: appeared in the magical time when the last warm days
00:02:37
Speaker 1: of summer entwined with the first cozy days of autumn,
00:02:42
Speaker 1: when the two seasons danced with each other for a
00:02:45
Speaker 1: while and then parted with a heartfelt promise to meet
00:02:49
Speaker 1: again the following year. A fairy by the name of
00:02:53
Speaker 1: Midnight was in charge of the celebrations. She was a
00:02:58
Speaker 1: sleep fairy, and she helped with all matters concerning the night.
00:03:04
Speaker 1: She had assisted many animals in Sleepy Forest including a
00:03:08
Speaker 1: young mouse called Millie, a panther called Bell, and an
00:03:12
Speaker 1: owl who wanted to talk to the moon. On that
00:03:17
Speaker 1: special evening, Midnight flew through the trees of the forest
00:03:20
Speaker 1: and landed in a large open space. The harvest moon
00:03:25
Speaker 1: celebrations took place there every year, and as Midnight looked
00:03:29
Speaker 1: around the glade, she knew it was still the perfect
00:03:33
Speaker 1: place to hold the party. She looked towards the west
00:03:37
Speaker 1: and saw the sun dipping towards the horizon. The sky
00:03:42
Speaker 1: was filled with swathes of pink and purples. The magical
00:03:47
Speaker 1: moon would begin to rise as soon as the sun
00:03:49
Speaker 1: gave its last goodbye sunbeam of the day. Midnight had
00:03:54
Speaker 1: a lot to do before the moon appeared. Midnight's first
00:03:58
Speaker 1: job of the evening was to make sure the day
00:04:01
Speaker 1: animals were sleepy forest would soon be fast asleep in
00:04:05
Speaker 1: their snug beds, wonderfully lost in beautiful dreams. To make
00:04:10
Speaker 1: that happen would require help, and Midnight knew how to
00:04:14
Speaker 1: ask for that help. She reached into the velvet pouch
00:04:18
Speaker 1: that hung from a silver belt around her waist and
00:04:22
Speaker 1: brought out a handful of rainbow colored glitter. She cast
00:04:26
Speaker 1: it into the air and watched as warm breezes caught
00:04:30
Speaker 1: the sparkling specks and sent them fluttering away in three
00:04:35
Speaker 1: different directions. In the twinkling of a Star, three fairies
00:04:41
Speaker 1: appeared before midnight, just like Midnight. They were dressed in
00:04:46
Speaker 1: dark blue dresses and had velvet pouches full of magical glitter.
00:04:52
Speaker 1: The fairies were Midnight Sisters, and they were sleep fairies too.
00:04:57
Speaker 1: The sisters smiled warmly at each other and huddled together
00:05:01
Speaker 1: in a family hug. Love flowed through them, and for
00:05:05
Speaker 1: a few seconds, their fluttering wings changed from silver to pink.
00:05:11
Speaker 1: Midnight released her sisters a big smile still on her face,
00:05:16
Speaker 1: her eyes glittered more brightly than the stars in the sky.
00:05:21
Speaker 1: Midnight said to her sisters, thank you for agreeing to
00:05:25
Speaker 1: help me again on this special evening. It's so kind
00:05:29
Speaker 1: of you. Are you okay to do your usual jobs
00:05:32
Speaker 1: or would you like to swap Her youngest sister, Star Twinkle,
00:05:37
Speaker 1: spoke first and said, I'm more than happy to keep
00:05:42
Speaker 1: sending lullabies over sleepy Forest. I love singing them, and
00:05:46
Speaker 1: over the last year I've created some new ones. With
00:05:51
Speaker 1: a mischievous glimmer in her eyes, she added, perhaps I
00:05:56
Speaker 1: could sing one to you all now. Her sisters laughed lightly.
00:06:02
Speaker 1: Midnight said you tried that once, do you remember? And
00:06:07
Speaker 1: we all fell asleep, even you. Star Twinkle chuckled at
00:06:12
Speaker 1: the memory. I do remember. It was a good job
00:06:16
Speaker 1: the badgers arrived early at the party that year and
00:06:19
Speaker 1: woke us up. I'll keep my lullabies for the day, animals,
00:06:24
Speaker 1: but if you'd like to hear one after the party,
00:06:27
Speaker 1: just let me know. Her sisters promised to do so.
00:06:32
Speaker 1: Midnight asked her sister Twilight if she was still okay
00:06:36
Speaker 1: with casting sleepy bedtime stories over the forest. Twilight's eyes
00:06:42
Speaker 1: twinkled in joy. She said, oh yes, I love making
00:06:48
Speaker 1: up stories and giving them to the animals. Sometimes I
00:06:53
Speaker 1: stay a little while outside their homes and listen to
00:06:57
Speaker 1: the stories being told. I've created many new ones this
00:07:01
Speaker 1: year and added lots of magical animals and amazing adventures.
00:07:07
Speaker 1: She looked into the distance as if already lost in
00:07:10
Speaker 1: her stories. Midnight thanked Twilight and said perhaps she could
00:07:17
Speaker 1: tell the party guests a story later. Twilight said she would.
00:07:24
Speaker 1: Midnight looked at her third sister and said, moon Glow,
00:07:30
Speaker 1: how about you? Do you want to continue sending dreams?
00:07:34
Speaker 1: Across the forest. Moon Glow got the same far away
00:07:39
Speaker 1: look that Twilight still had. In a dreamy voice, moon
00:07:44
Speaker 1: Glow said, oh, yes, I would love to keep doing that.
00:07:52
Speaker 1: I've been working on new dreams and I've added more
00:07:56
Speaker 1: magic to them. The animals will go on unforgettable journeys
00:08:02
Speaker 1: in their dreams to night where anything is possible. They'll
00:08:08
Speaker 1: wake up feeling rested and happy. Midnight smiled fondly at
00:08:17
Speaker 1: her sisters and said the day animals of the forest
00:08:21
Speaker 1: would sleep well that night. Her youngest sister, Twilight said,
00:08:29
Speaker 1: what about you, Midnight, Are you still okay to do
00:08:34
Speaker 1: your jobs? We can help you with those two if
00:08:37
Speaker 1: you like. Midnight said that was very kind of her,
00:08:42
Speaker 1: but she didn't mind doing them at all and had
00:08:44
Speaker 1: been looking forward to them all day. She looked towards
00:08:48
Speaker 1: the horizon. The sun had disappeared beneath the horizon and
00:08:53
Speaker 1: the pearly white orb of the moon was visible. Midnight
00:08:58
Speaker 1: told her sisters it was time for them to go,
00:09:02
Speaker 1: but she would see them later at the party. The
00:09:05
Speaker 1: sisters had another love filled hug and then went their
00:09:09
Speaker 1: separate ways. Midnight gazed up at the dark blue sky.
00:09:16
Speaker 1: The first star had appeared. She opened her wings wider
00:09:21
Speaker 1: and rose from the ground, up, up and up. She
00:09:26
Speaker 1: went high above the darkening forest. She looked down and
00:09:32
Speaker 1: saw cozy lights being switched on inside woodland homes, otters
00:09:37
Speaker 1: relaxing in warm river baths, squirrels taking sun dried pajamas
00:09:43
Speaker 1: from washing lines and putting them on their children, and
00:09:47
Speaker 1: a family of cooalas heading home after an evening stroll
00:09:52
Speaker 1: through the forest. The youngest Cooala was sitting on his
00:09:56
Speaker 1: father's shoulders. Midnight continued flying upwards until she reached the
00:10:04
Speaker 1: first star of the night. She hovered at the side
00:10:09
Speaker 1: of it, took some glitter from her pouch and sprinkled
00:10:13
Speaker 1: it over the star. The star grew bigger and turned
00:10:19
Speaker 1: into a star shaped door. The door swung open, and
00:10:24
Speaker 1: Midnight flew through it into another world, a world that
00:10:28
Speaker 1: was filled with clusters of stars called constellations. Each constellation
00:10:36
Speaker 1: was in a different shape and had a name. Amongst
00:10:40
Speaker 1: them was a winged horse called Pegasus, a swan by
00:10:44
Speaker 1: the name of Signus, a dragon known as Draco, and
00:10:50
Speaker 1: a little dove who was called Columba. Using her magical glitter,
00:10:56
Speaker 1: Midnight made the star animals come alive. They stretched out
00:11:01
Speaker 1: their assorted legs, arms, wings, and tails and moved across
00:11:07
Speaker 1: the sky towards the little Fairy. They knew why she
00:11:13
Speaker 1: was there, but wanted to confirm it. Signess the Swan
00:11:18
Speaker 1: glided closer and said, Hello, Midnight. It's wonderful to see
00:11:26
Speaker 1: you again. Is it the Harvest Moon festival to night?
00:11:32
Speaker 1: Are we all invited? I do hope so, as we
00:11:36
Speaker 1: always have tremendous fun. Midnight smiled kindly at the Swan
00:11:43
Speaker 1: and said, you are always invited. The party wouldn't be
00:11:48
Speaker 1: the same without you all. I'm here to let you know.
00:11:52
Speaker 1: I've opened the star door to Sleepy Forest and the
00:11:57
Speaker 1: party will take place in the usual glade. The animal
00:12:01
Speaker 1: guests of the Woodland will be arriving soon, so please
00:12:06
Speaker 1: join us when you are ready. The star animals smiled
00:12:12
Speaker 1: excitedly and moved away to get ready for the festivities.
00:12:17
Speaker 1: Midnight stayed awhile longer and flew amongst the constellations to
00:12:23
Speaker 1: make sure everyone knew they had been invited and that
00:12:27
Speaker 1: she hadn't left anyone out. When she was certain everyone
00:12:32
Speaker 1: knew about the party and that the star door was open,
00:12:36
Speaker 1: Midnight returned to sleepy forest. It was darker in the
00:12:41
Speaker 1: forest now, and many lights inside homes had been switched off.
00:12:47
Speaker 1: Midnight smiled as she heard quiet snores echoing through the treetops.
00:12:55
Speaker 1: She landed on the soft grass of the glade and
00:12:59
Speaker 1: folded her silver wings behind her. She looked upwards. The
00:13:06
Speaker 1: harvest moon had moved across the sky and had changed
00:13:10
Speaker 1: color from pearly white to a rich cream. It would
00:13:16
Speaker 1: change again soon, and Midnight still had things to attend
00:13:21
Speaker 1: to before that happened. More glitter was collected from her
00:13:26
Speaker 1: pouch and was used to conjure up silver strings full
00:13:30
Speaker 1: of twinkling fairy lights. Like a conductor waving her musical
00:13:35
Speaker 1: battern at the orchestra, Midnight moved her hands left and
00:13:41
Speaker 1: right as she guided the strings onto the branches of
00:13:45
Speaker 1: the trees and around the bushes. She turned her attention
00:13:51
Speaker 1: to the glade and made tables and chairs appear. Each
00:13:56
Speaker 1: table was covered in food and drink that would be
00:14:00
Speaker 1: perfect for the guests. Midnight turned away from the tables
00:14:05
Speaker 1: and chairs and created a stage and dance floor. More
00:14:11
Speaker 1: twinkling lights were added to enhance the glades captivating atmosphere.
00:14:17
Speaker 1: There would be a lot of singing that evening and
00:14:21
Speaker 1: a lot of dancing. She lifted her head and took
00:14:25
Speaker 1: another look at the moon. The rich cream color had
00:14:30
Speaker 1: been replaced by a warm, buttercup yellow. The moon was
00:14:35
Speaker 1: bigger now and it gently glowed in the night sky.
00:14:40
Speaker 1: It was beautiful and made midnight fall into a light
00:14:46
Speaker 1: night dream. As she gazed softly at it, she was
00:14:51
Speaker 1: brought out of her light trance as she heard leaves
00:14:55
Speaker 1: rustling beyond the glade. The first guests were on there.
00:15:00
Speaker 1: A group of bats entered the glade. They were dressed
00:15:05
Speaker 1: in their best evening suits, complete with white bow tiyes.
00:15:10
Speaker 1: Each bat was carrying a small musical instrument, and after
00:15:15
Speaker 1: saying hello to Midnight, they set up their bat band
00:15:18
Speaker 1: on the stage and proceeded to play a soothing nighttime melody.
00:15:25
Speaker 1: Midnight listened to them for a few moments and swayed
00:15:29
Speaker 1: to the gentle rhythm of the tune. Midnight left the
00:15:34
Speaker 1: bats to their music and fluttered around the glade, making
00:15:39
Speaker 1: sure everything was ready and that the glade looked as
00:15:43
Speaker 1: welcoming as possible. More guests arrived, They walked, flew, and
00:15:51
Speaker 1: in many cases danced into the glade and over to Midnight.
00:15:55
Speaker 1: They exchanged hugs and warm greetings. Midnight showed them to
00:16:00
Speaker 1: their tables. The wonderful music coming from the bats was
00:16:06
Speaker 1: too much for some animals to resist, and they immediately
00:16:10
Speaker 1: took themselves to the dance floor. A couple of badgers
00:16:14
Speaker 1: boogied with a family of foxes, hedgehogs walzzed and twirled
00:16:20
Speaker 1: around the dance floor. Fireflies fluttered above the floor with
00:16:24
Speaker 1: a bar. Now, Midnight Sisters returned from their sleep activities
00:16:30
Speaker 1: and stood next to her. They said everything looked perfect
00:16:36
Speaker 1: and she'd done an amazing job. Midnight blushed a little
00:16:42
Speaker 1: and told them to go and enjoy the party. The
00:16:47
Speaker 1: sisters said they would, but if she needed help with anything,
00:16:51
Speaker 1: they should let her know. Twilight said, kindly, don't even
00:16:58
Speaker 1: think about tidying up when the party is over, because
00:17:03
Speaker 1: we will be doing that. Midnight Sisters headed to the
00:17:08
Speaker 1: dance floor, where they hopped and bobbed all the night
00:17:13
Speaker 1: animals of the forest had arrived and they were having
00:17:17
Speaker 1: a fabulous time. The next guests to arrive were the
00:17:23
Speaker 1: magical beings who lived in Sleepy forest. Elves, pixies, small dragons,
00:17:30
Speaker 1: and cloud bears. More magical beings arrived, and after saying
00:17:37
Speaker 1: hello to Midnight, most of them headed to the dance floor.
00:17:43
Speaker 1: The bats played their joyful melodies. Guests moved rhythmically across
00:17:49
Speaker 1: the dance floor, and soft chatter and light laughter came
00:17:55
Speaker 1: from every table. Midnight looked up again at the moon.
00:18:03
Speaker 1: The harvest moon had made its final change and the
00:18:07
Speaker 1: warm buttercup yellow had faded away. The moon was now orange.
00:18:15
Speaker 1: It was a mixture of orange petals from summer sunflowers
00:18:20
Speaker 1: and the first pumpkins of autumn. The party guests became
00:18:26
Speaker 1: aware of the new color and hushed. Silence fell over them.
00:18:32
Speaker 1: The melody from the bats ceased. Everyone looked up and
00:18:38
Speaker 1: gazed in wonder at the beautiful harvest moon. Midnight sisters
00:18:46
Speaker 1: moved over to her, and together they cast their rainbow
00:18:51
Speaker 1: colored glitter into the air. The glimmering specks were caught
00:18:59
Speaker 1: by the wind and carried upwards, where they formed a
00:19:02
Speaker 1: rainbow halo around the orange moon. The glitter shimmered and
00:19:10
Speaker 1: then melted away. Her friendly face appeared on the moon.
00:19:17
Speaker 1: Kind eyes full of wisdom looked down at the glade,
00:19:22
Speaker 1: and a smile filled with love grew across the moon's face.
00:19:29
Speaker 1: In a deep, soothing voice. The Moon said, hello, my friends.
00:19:35
Speaker 1: It's so good to see you again. He gazed at
00:19:41
Speaker 1: Midnight and her sisters and thanked them for preparing the celebration.
00:19:47
Speaker 1: He knew how busy they had been, especially Midnight. Midnight
00:19:53
Speaker 1: shuffled from foot to foot and said it was nothing.
00:19:58
Speaker 1: The Harvest Moon looked to his left and his eyes
00:20:02
Speaker 1: crinkled up in delight. There was a tinkling sound and
00:20:08
Speaker 1: the star animals from the other world appeared. The Moon
00:20:13
Speaker 1: said it was wonderful to see them again and thanked
00:20:17
Speaker 1: them for coming to the party. The Harvest Moon looked
00:20:21
Speaker 1: down at Midnight and said, I know you can use
00:20:28
Speaker 1: your magic to make the star animals turn into real ones,
00:20:33
Speaker 1: but if you will permit me, I'd like to use
00:20:38
Speaker 1: my moon magic to do that. You have done more
00:20:42
Speaker 1: than enough this evening, and it's time you joined in
00:20:46
Speaker 1: with the dancing. He let out a deep chuckle. We've
00:20:52
Speaker 1: all seen you dance before, and we know you're quite
00:20:58
Speaker 1: the mover and groover. Midnight grinned and said she wasn't
00:21:04
Speaker 1: sure about that, but yes, she would like to dance.
00:21:09
Speaker 1: The Harvest Moon beamed at her. He turned to the
00:21:13
Speaker 1: collection of star animals at his side and cast orange
00:21:18
Speaker 1: moonbeams over them. The star animals drifted down to the
00:21:24
Speaker 1: grassy glade, and once they landed, they became like real animals,
00:21:32
Speaker 1: albeit with stars in their eyes. The Harvest Moon glowed
00:21:38
Speaker 1: brighter and brighter, his orange light extending across the night sky.
00:21:48
Speaker 1: The bats began playing their instruments again, and everyone took
00:21:53
Speaker 1: to the dance floor. The Harvest Moon was right about midnight.
00:22:00
Speaker 1: She was quite the mover and groover.
00:22:04
Speaker 2: She twirled and whirled, hipped and hopped, and she tangled
00:22:10
Speaker 2: and fan dangled. Her sisters joined her on the dance floor.
00:22:16
Speaker 2: They held hands, and the family of fairies shimmered and
00:22:21
Speaker 2: glimmered as they danced across the floor. When she couldn't
00:22:26
Speaker 2: dance anymore, midnight, mingled with the guests and found herself
00:22:32
Speaker 2: smiling more and more. Everyone was having a marvelous time.
00:22:40
Speaker 2: She felt like the luckiest fairy alive, for not only
00:22:46
Speaker 2: did she get to help the friendly day animals of
00:22:49
Speaker 2: the forest, but she also got to mix with the
00:22:53
Speaker 2: nighttime ones too. The sky was full of glittering stars, stars,
00:23:01
Speaker 2: and the twilight breeze flowed gently over the party guests.
00:23:06
Speaker 2: And scented the air with evening primrose moonflowers and night
00:23:12
Speaker 2: scented orchids. The music from the bat band changed tempo
00:23:21
Speaker 2: and a slower song was heard. With knowing smiles on
00:23:26
Speaker 2: their faces, everyone stepped off the dance floor and returned
00:23:32
Speaker 2: to their tables. The harvest moon dipped lower in the sky,
00:23:38
Speaker 2: and from behind him, the last two guests appeared. One
00:23:45
Speaker 2: was a woman with long, flowing yellow hair. Her garland
00:23:50
Speaker 2: of daisies rested on her head. Her eyes were as
00:23:54
Speaker 2: blue as a summer's day, and her smile as warm
00:23:59
Speaker 2: as the early morning rays. She was wearing a long
00:24:03
Speaker 2: gown that was embroidered with bright butterflies and fluffy bumble bees.
00:24:10
Speaker 2: They looked so real that some of the party guests
00:24:14
Speaker 2: thought they would flutter away at any second. Her gown
00:24:20
Speaker 2: was edged in the same daisies that adorned her hair.
00:24:24
Speaker 2: Her name was Summer. The other guest was a man
00:24:31
Speaker 2: with curly auburn hair. His eyes were as green as apples,
00:24:36
Speaker 2: and amber freckles the color of freshly fallen leaves were
00:24:41
Speaker 2: scattered across his rosy cheeks. He was wearing a long
00:24:47
Speaker 2: golden tunic over a pair of red trousers. As he
00:24:53
Speaker 2: moved away from the moon, his clothes rustled, as though
00:24:58
Speaker 2: they were made of leaves. The man's name was Autumn.
00:25:05
Speaker 2: Summer gave Autumn a sunny smile and reached out her
00:25:09
Speaker 2: hand towards him. Autumn smiled and took her hand together.
00:25:17
Speaker 2: Summer and Autumn descended from the night sky and landed
00:25:23
Speaker 2: softly on the empty dance floor with a bough. Summer
00:25:28
Speaker 2: and Autumn moved away from each other to the opposite
00:25:33
Speaker 2: sides of the dance floor. The harvest moon cleared his
00:25:38
Speaker 2: throat a little, then he hummed a tune that perfectly
00:25:44
Speaker 2: matched the melody that was coming from the bats. The
00:25:49
Speaker 2: beautiful harvest Moon began to sing about the changing of
00:25:54
Speaker 2: the seasons from summer to autumn. As he sang, Summer
00:26:02
Speaker 2: took center stage and danced slowly to the moon's words.
00:26:08
Speaker 2: The harvest Moon sang about endless summer days, picnics on
00:26:14
Speaker 2: the beach, the soft hum of bees, and the bright
00:26:19
Speaker 2: bloom of summer flowers that carpeted the forest floor. Summer
00:26:26
Speaker 2: stopped dancing, smiled at Autumn, and moved back to the
00:26:32
Speaker 2: edge of the dance floor. Autumn took center stage and
00:26:38
Speaker 2: danced slowly as the moon sang about the mesmerizing display
00:26:43
Speaker 2: of changing colors of leaves, from golden yellows to russet reds.
00:26:49
Speaker 2: He sang about apples hanging heavy on branches, waiting to
00:26:55
Speaker 2: be made into delicious apple pies warm from the oven,
00:27:01
Speaker 2: and the cozy nights. When the stars appeared earlier in
00:27:05
Speaker 2: the sky, the Harvest Moon stopped singing and received a
00:27:11
Speaker 2: round of applause from everyone in the glade. Autumn stayed
00:27:18
Speaker 2: in the center of the stage and held his hand
00:27:22
Speaker 2: out to Summer. She pirouetted across the floor and into
00:27:28
Speaker 2: his arms. Summer and Autumn danced across the floor two
00:27:36
Speaker 2: seasons together under the harvest moon.
00:27:42
Speaker 1: They asked the other guests to join them. Midnight and
00:27:47
Speaker 1: her sisters took to the floor and held hands as
00:27:51
Speaker 1: they danced again. One by one, the rest of the
00:27:56
Speaker 1: party guests walked on to the dance floor and celebrated
00:28:02
Speaker 1: the magic of the harvest moon by dancing, laughing, and
00:28:08
Speaker 1: having a wonderful time. The Harvest moon shone brightly over
00:28:14
Speaker 1: sleepy forest. The bats continued playing their joyful tunes. Summer
00:28:22
Speaker 1: and Autumn changed partners many times, and made sure they
00:28:28
Speaker 1: danced with everyone all around sleepy forest. The day animals
00:28:36
Speaker 1: were snug and cozy in their beds, and amazing adventures
00:28:41
Speaker 1: filled their dreams, making them smile in their sleep. The
00:28:48
Speaker 1: Harvest moon celebrations continued into the night. Midnight and her
00:28:55
Speaker 1: sisters danced under the star filled sky, the hearts full
00:29:02
Speaker 1: of love and appreciation. It was Midnight who began to
00:29:08
Speaker 1: yawn first. Her sisters followed her, one yawn after another.
00:29:18
Speaker 1: They tried to cover up their yawns, but the Harvest
00:29:22
Speaker 1: Moon spotted them and in his gentle, deep voice, he
00:29:28
Speaker 1: told them to head home to their beds. The fairies
00:29:34
Speaker 1: tried to say no and that they had to tide later,
00:29:39
Speaker 1: but the moon insisted, and so did the rest of
00:29:43
Speaker 1: the guests, who promised to take care of everything. The
00:29:50
Speaker 1: moon noticed how tired the fairies were and thought they
00:29:56
Speaker 1: might be too tired to fly. He created an orange
00:30:02
Speaker 1: cloud in the dark sky and sent it down to
00:30:07
Speaker 1: the fairies. They stepped on to it and snuggled down
00:30:13
Speaker 1: into the soft, fluffy surface of the cloud. The Harvest
00:30:20
Speaker 1: Moon smiled down at the fairies, thanked them for their help,
00:30:27
Speaker 1: and said he would see them again. The following year,
00:30:33
Speaker 1: Midnight smiled tirely and nodded. Her heavy eyes just couldn't
00:30:43
Speaker 1: stay open a moment longer. She said good night, sweet
00:30:51
Speaker 1: dreams to her sisters, closed her eyes and fell asleep
00:31:01
Speaker 1: under the light of the magical harvest moon. The orange
00:31:08
Speaker 1: cloud carried the fairies home
