00:01:11
Speaker 1: As I was saying, Tonight's bedtime Meditation is a lovely one,
00:01:15
Speaker 1: we will soon meet a beaver called Chomp no not
00:01:18
Speaker 1: buck this time, and a bear called Maple. They're having
00:01:22
Speaker 1: a bit of a tricky time, facing all sorts of
00:01:25
Speaker 1: challenges as they journey through vast plains, winding rivers, and
00:01:30
Speaker 1: magical forests, but with the steady guidance of a wise
00:01:34
Speaker 1: moose named Milo, who is an expert in mindfulness, they
00:01:38
Speaker 1: begin to both feel much better and brighter. In fact,
00:01:43
Speaker 1: they soon learn how to be as cool as a
00:01:46
Speaker 1: cucumber no matter what is going on around them, just
00:01:50
Speaker 1: like Milo. Let's find out how.
00:01:52
Speaker 2: They do it.
00:01:54
Speaker 1: This is Milo the Mindful Moose by Joel pim Let's
00:02:08
Speaker 1: begin by getting into a comfortable position, lying back onto
00:02:13
Speaker 1: the bed and covering up in your super comfy covers.
00:02:19
Speaker 1: Easily allow your body to sink into the surface below you,
00:02:23
Speaker 1: and take a moment to relax your muscles and enjoy
00:02:27
Speaker 1: the feeling of being calm and content to release any
00:02:32
Speaker 1: leftover energy from your day. Let's try a little exercise.
00:02:36
Speaker 1: Give your arms a good shake, like tree branches shaking
00:02:40
Speaker 1: in a storm.
00:02:43
Speaker 2: Then relax.
00:02:45
Speaker 1: Now, let's clench your hands into fists and hold them
00:02:50
Speaker 1: really tight for a few seconds.
00:02:52
Speaker 2: That's right.
00:02:55
Speaker 1: Then let go and allow them to rest back onto
00:02:59
Speaker 1: the bed, take a deep breath in, and as you exhale,
00:03:05
Speaker 1: release any remaining tension in your chest and shoulders. Now,
00:03:12
Speaker 1: moving down to your legs, give them a gentle shake
00:03:16
Speaker 1: to release any last bit of energy.
00:03:19
Speaker 2: That's it, and rest.
00:03:24
Speaker 1: As you feel your body becoming more and more relaxed,
00:03:27
Speaker 1: start to relax your breathing.
00:03:33
Speaker 2: Relax. Imagine yourself as a hot air.
00:03:37
Speaker 1: Balloom filling up with love and positive energy with each inhale,
00:03:44
Speaker 1: and then as you exhale, release any negative or anxious feelings.
00:03:52
Speaker 2: That's great.
00:03:55
Speaker 1: Keep your breathing at a natural and easy flow, following
00:03:59
Speaker 1: a lot with my voice. With each breath, allow yourself
00:04:04
Speaker 1: to sink into deeper and deeper states of relaxation and calmness.
00:04:11
Speaker 1: Soon you may even start to feel a little sleepy,
00:04:15
Speaker 1: and that's perfectly okay.
00:04:19
Speaker 2: Just allow yourself to enjoy this.
00:04:21
Speaker 1: Peaceful moment and fall asleep if you wish. As you
00:04:25
Speaker 1: follow the story, take one more deep breath as you
00:04:32
Speaker 1: are transported to a large plain.
00:04:36
Speaker 2: Here on the Canadian.
00:04:37
Speaker 1: Plains, the grass is as green as broccoli, and the trees.
00:04:42
Speaker 2: Stand tall like girafts.
00:04:45
Speaker 1: It's a place where so many animals roam about, bringing
00:04:49
Speaker 1: life and.
00:04:50
Speaker 2: Joy to the world.
00:04:53
Speaker 1: Playful squirrels hop and scamper, their fluffy tails twitching with excitement.
00:05:00
Speaker 1: Wise eagles gracefully saw high above in the sky, their
00:05:05
Speaker 1: wings outstretched.
00:05:09
Speaker 2: To the side of a river, a.
00:05:11
Speaker 1: Small brown animal scampered up the river bank. This animal
00:05:16
Speaker 1: was a Canadian beaver and his name was Chomp. There
00:05:21
Speaker 1: wasn't a great day for Chomp. His dam had come
00:05:24
Speaker 1: loose and floated down the river. It would take him
00:05:27
Speaker 1: ages to get it back. Chomp slowly trudged through the
00:05:32
Speaker 1: soggy mud and sat down on the grass with a sigh.
00:05:37
Speaker 1: His friend, Maple the Bear, walked over and sat down
00:05:41
Speaker 1: next to him. She put her arm around his shoulder
00:05:44
Speaker 1: and asked why he looked so puzzled. Chomp admitted that
00:05:48
Speaker 1: his dam has floated.
00:05:50
Speaker 2: Down the river.
00:05:51
Speaker 1: He needed to go find it, but there were so
00:05:54
Speaker 1: many ideas whirling around his mind he wasn't sure where
00:05:58
Speaker 1: to start. Maple thought she knew exactly the.
00:06:02
Speaker 2: Person who could help him.
00:06:05
Speaker 1: Milo the mindful moose was the perfect animal to go
00:06:10
Speaker 1: to in a calamity. He never seemed to get flustered.
00:06:15
Speaker 1: Maple led Chomp to a clearing where a moose appeared
00:06:19
Speaker 1: to be deep in meditation, with his long legs crossed
00:06:22
Speaker 1: over each other, with a calm look on his face.
00:06:27
Speaker 1: As Maple and Chomp approached the meditating moose, they couldn't
00:06:31
Speaker 1: help but notice how peaceful he looked.
00:06:34
Speaker 2: With a big smile on his face.
00:06:37
Speaker 1: He was surrounded by the sounds of chirping birds and
00:06:41
Speaker 1: rustling leaves, and the scent of juicy berries filled the air.
00:06:46
Speaker 1: It was as if the world around him was in
00:06:49
Speaker 1: perfect harmony. Slowly, the moose opened his eyes and he
00:06:56
Speaker 1: turned to face the bear and the beaver. Despite being disturbed,
00:07:01
Speaker 1: he remained calm and friendly. Ay, my name is Milo,
00:07:09
Speaker 1: he said peacefully. Milo the mindful moose, was a sight
00:07:15
Speaker 1: to behold, with his long, gangly legs and a coat
00:07:19
Speaker 1: of brown fur that shone in the sun. Milo's antlers
00:07:24
Speaker 1: were adorned with little white flowers, and he wore a
00:07:28
Speaker 1: necklace made of colorful stones.
00:07:31
Speaker 2: His kind eyes sparkled with wisdom and compassion.
00:07:37
Speaker 1: Sorry to interrupt you, I'm just feeling a little muddled,
00:07:42
Speaker 1: and Maple thought you might be able to help me,
00:07:45
Speaker 1: asked Chomp curiously. I'm practicing mindfulness, replied Milo, still smiling.
00:07:56
Speaker 1: It's a way of paying attention to the present moment.
00:08:01
Speaker 2: And being aware of your thoughts and feelings.
00:08:07
Speaker 1: Chomp looked at Maple and back at Milo, still a
00:08:11
Speaker 1: bit confused. Milo sensed their confusion and decided to help
00:08:16
Speaker 1: them understand. Think of your mind like a snow globe
00:08:22
Speaker 1: that has been shaken up, he said, gesturing with his hoof.
00:08:28
Speaker 1: It's hard to see clearly when everything is swirling around,
00:08:33
Speaker 1: but by being mindful and taking a few deep breaths,
00:08:39
Speaker 1: you can calm the snow globe and see things more clearly.
00:08:46
Speaker 1: As he spoke, Milo demonstrated how to take a deep
00:08:50
Speaker 1: breath in and out, and the bear and the beaver
00:08:53
Speaker 1: followed along. They immediately felt a sense of calm wash
00:08:59
Speaker 1: over them, as if their worries were melting away like
00:09:03
Speaker 1: snow in the sun. Mindful nurses like a superpower, continued Milo,
00:09:13
Speaker 1: It helps you feel calm and focused no matter what's
00:09:18
Speaker 1: going on around you. Come and sit down next to
00:09:22
Speaker 1: me and I will show you how to meditate. Milo
00:09:27
Speaker 1: nods encouragingly at Maple and Chomp. As they get ready
00:09:30
Speaker 1: to meditate. He tells them to sit down and get
00:09:34
Speaker 1: all nice and comfy. One of the ways to do
00:09:40
Speaker 1: mindfulness meditation is to return to the breath whenever we
00:09:45
Speaker 1: get distracted, Milo said, in a soft and peaceful voice.
00:09:53
Speaker 1: Notice how your breath feels as it enters and leaves
00:09:58
Speaker 1: your body. The feeling of breathing has been there since
00:10:03
Speaker 1: the day that you were born up until now. Your
00:10:07
Speaker 1: breath is very powerful and is something that should be appreciated.
00:10:15
Speaker 1: We use the breath in meditation as an anchor to
00:10:18
Speaker 1: bring us back to a force that never leaves us.
00:10:24
Speaker 1: Both Chomp and Maple noticed as their bad feeling, stress
00:10:30
Speaker 1: and fear started to drift away as they focused on
00:10:35
Speaker 1: how their breath feels. To appreciate our breath even more,
00:10:42
Speaker 1: we can do a simple breathing exercise together. We will
00:10:48
Speaker 1: breathe in for four seconds, hold for four seconds, and
00:10:54
Speaker 1: exhale for four seconds. Just come back to the breath
00:10:59
Speaker 1: if you get distracted. It's nice and easy to follow,
00:11:04
Speaker 1: so join me if you want.
00:11:07
Speaker 2: Here we go.
00:11:09
Speaker 1: Let's start with a deep breath in one two three
00:11:16
Speaker 1: four Hold your breath one two three for and breathe
00:11:24
Speaker 1: out one two three four.
00:11:30
Speaker 2: Breathe in one.
00:11:33
Speaker 1: Two three four hold one two three four. Breathe out
00:11:45
Speaker 1: one two three four. Breathe in one two three four,
00:11:58
Speaker 1: hold that breath one two three for and let it
00:12:06
Speaker 1: all go one two three for breathing one two three for,
00:12:18
Speaker 1: hold that breath one two three four and let it
00:12:26
Speaker 1: all go one two three four. Now let your breath
00:12:33
Speaker 1: return to a nice, an easy pace, good job. As
00:12:42
Speaker 1: you inhale, imagine yourself taking in energy and happiness, and
00:12:49
Speaker 1: as you exhale, visualize yourself releasing sadness and unhappiness. By
00:12:57
Speaker 1: focusing on our breath, we can slow go down and
00:13:01
Speaker 1: allow ourselves to calm down when we feel upset or scared.
00:13:06
Speaker 1: With a few deep breaths, we can shift from feeling
00:13:10
Speaker 1: angry or sad to feeling relaxed and happier. Just stay
00:13:16
Speaker 1: here for a moment, easily.
00:13:20
Speaker 2: Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your chest as
00:13:23
Speaker 2: you relax.
00:13:25
Speaker 1: That's right, now, spend some time being in this calm place.
00:13:33
Speaker 1: When you're ready, you can start to open your eyes.
00:13:39
Speaker 2: Slowly.
00:13:40
Speaker 1: Chomp and Maple emerged back into the world again, enjoying
00:13:45
Speaker 1: all the different sounds and sights of the setting around them.
00:13:48
Speaker 1: Once again, it seemed to be more peaceful and calm
00:13:52
Speaker 1: than ever before. Chomp, although satisfied, had a question about
00:13:59
Speaker 1: the practice. He politely put his hand up and asked,
00:14:04
Speaker 1: in the middle of the meditation, I've found it difficult
00:14:08
Speaker 1: to keep my mind from wondering. I started thinking about
00:14:13
Speaker 1: my damn and.
00:14:14
Speaker 2: Where it could be.
00:14:16
Speaker 1: I started to feel a little stressed, Milo quietly reassured
00:14:22
Speaker 1: Chump that this is normal and that when your mind wonders,
00:14:27
Speaker 1: you can gently bring your attention back to your breath.
00:14:33
Speaker 1: Milo also adds that like learning any new skill, it
00:14:37
Speaker 1: takes time and practice to become good at it. He
00:14:41
Speaker 1: encouraged them to keep practicing and not get discouraged if
00:14:46
Speaker 1: they found it hard at first. He told them that
00:14:50
Speaker 1: they will get better with practice, just like when they
00:14:53
Speaker 1: first learned how to ride a bike or tie their shoelace.
00:14:58
Speaker 1: It's like when planting a seed. You need to give
00:15:03
Speaker 1: it time and constant support to grow into a beautiful flower.
00:15:08
Speaker 1: Milo said, With time, I know you both will grow
00:15:13
Speaker 1: into beautiful flowers and overcome your.
00:15:17
Speaker 2: Fears and stresses.
00:15:20
Speaker 1: With that, Maple and Chomp began to feel more and
00:15:23
Speaker 1: more comfortable and at ease with every passing moment, looking
00:15:28
Speaker 1: forward to making meditation part of their daily life. Maple, Chomp,
00:15:34
Speaker 1: and Milo all stood up slowly and decided to go
00:15:39
Speaker 1: on an adventure together to learn more about mindfulness and
00:15:43
Speaker 1: find Chomps precious dam. As they walked along a tree
00:15:50
Speaker 1: lined path in the forest, Milo pointed out that it
00:15:54
Speaker 1: may make them feel calmer if they tune into the
00:15:57
Speaker 1: world around them with them, Milo the mindful moose paused
00:16:03
Speaker 1: to notice the colorful wildflowers that dopped the forest floor,
00:16:08
Speaker 1: and the way the dappled sunlight filters through the trees,
00:16:13
Speaker 1: casting a warm, comforting.
00:16:15
Speaker 2: Glow over everything.
00:16:19
Speaker 1: Chomp followed Milo's league and took a large whiff of
00:16:23
Speaker 1: the earthy forest scent and felt the crunch of leaves
00:16:27
Speaker 1: beneath his paws. He noticed the different types of trees
00:16:32
Speaker 1: they pass, each with unique bark textures and leaf shapes.
00:16:39
Speaker 1: Maple perked up her ears at the rustling of leaves
00:16:42
Speaker 1: and branches as she caught a glimpse of busy critters
00:16:46
Speaker 1: scurrying about the forest floor. She then looked up at
00:16:51
Speaker 1: the tall trees and imagined climbing to the very top.
00:16:56
Speaker 2: Together, they took.
00:16:58
Speaker 1: In all the sights, sounds, smells, and feelings of the forest,
00:17:04
Speaker 1: appreciating the beauty of nature and the joy of being
00:17:08
Speaker 1: present in the moment, enjoying the feeling of being with
00:17:14
Speaker 1: friends in the wilderness, each of their hearts open, feeling
00:17:20
Speaker 1: connected to the natural world around them. The three friends
00:17:27
Speaker 1: chatted and walked through the forest until they found themselves
00:17:31
Speaker 1: at the edge of the wide river. Chomp and Maple
00:17:36
Speaker 1: were amazed by the different colors and patterns of the
00:17:39
Speaker 1: river rocks beneath the surface. Miloe pointed out how the
00:17:44
Speaker 1: river flowed calmly and steadily, just like their breath during meditation.
00:17:53
Speaker 1: He explained that just like the river, their minds could
00:17:57
Speaker 1: also be calm and steady. With they decided to take
00:18:03
Speaker 1: a break and sit by the river bank and eat
00:18:06
Speaker 1: some berries that they had foraged. As they sat there,
00:18:10
Speaker 1: they noticed how the river made a soothing sound as
00:18:14
Speaker 1: it flowed. It sounded like a lullaby, making them feel
00:18:19
Speaker 1: relaxed and peaceful. Little by little, Maple began to come
00:18:26
Speaker 1: up with an idea. Her idea was to build a
00:18:31
Speaker 1: raft using Chomps building skills and to float on it
00:18:35
Speaker 1: down the river. They would soon find Chomps down.
00:18:39
Speaker 2: She was sure of it.
00:18:42
Speaker 1: Chump the Beaver knew just what to do and used
00:18:45
Speaker 1: his expert construction skills to help them gather materials to
00:18:50
Speaker 1: build the raft. They worked together as a team, just
00:18:54
Speaker 1: like friends should, and before they knew it, they had
00:18:57
Speaker 1: built a sturdy raft. As they set sail across the river,
00:19:03
Speaker 1: Chomp and Maple felt proud of their achievement. They knew
00:19:07
Speaker 1: that by staying present and working together, they could overcome
00:19:12
Speaker 1: any obstacle that came their way. In the back of
00:19:17
Speaker 1: the raft, Milo sat in deep meditation with a content
00:19:21
Speaker 1: smile on his face. Large smiles settled on their faces
00:19:28
Speaker 1: as they continued on with their journey with renewed confidence
00:19:32
Speaker 1: and joy. As they sailed further up the river, Chomp
00:19:38
Speaker 1: and Maple kept their eyes pealed for any sign of
00:19:42
Speaker 1: Chomps lost down. They floated gently along the river bank,
00:19:47
Speaker 1: their excitement growing with each passing moment, and there it was,
00:19:54
Speaker 1: Nestled among the tall grasses on the side of.
00:19:57
Speaker 2: The river, Chomps down.
00:20:01
Speaker 1: With a burst of joy, Chomp and Maple carefully attached
00:20:05
Speaker 1: the down to the back of the homemade boat. Chomp's
00:20:09
Speaker 1: face lit up with relief and gratitude as he saw
00:20:13
Speaker 1: his precious dam once again. Maple couldn't help but beam
00:20:19
Speaker 1: with pride for their successful mission. Milone nodded in approval
00:20:25
Speaker 1: and softly said, you see what is possible when you
00:20:30
Speaker 1: work together. As they sailed back down the river, Chomps
00:20:37
Speaker 1: Dam in tow, they felt happy to be together and to.
00:20:40
Speaker 2: Be close to home.
00:20:43
Speaker 1: Soon they knew it was going to be time to
00:20:47
Speaker 1: say good bye. As they finally came ashore, Milwe reminded
00:20:53
Speaker 1: Chomp and Maple that mindfulness is something they can practice anywhere,
00:20:58
Speaker 1: at any time. He told them that when they started
00:21:03
Speaker 1: to feel emotional, they could take a deep breath, meditate,
00:21:08
Speaker 1: and appreciate the moment, and the fears and stresses would
00:21:13
Speaker 1: quickly go away. With their new found skill, Chomp and
00:21:19
Speaker 1: Maple said good bye to Milo, feeling grateful for the lessons.
00:21:24
Speaker 2: He taught them.
00:21:26
Speaker 1: In turn, Milo is delighted to see how much his
00:21:31
Speaker 1: new friends have grown and tells them that they are
00:21:34
Speaker 1: welcome to visit him any time they want to practice
00:21:38
Speaker 1: mindfulness together. Then Milo slowly walked away back to his
00:21:45
Speaker 1: favorite spot, admiring the setting sun as he went, smiling
00:21:51
Speaker 1: a beaming smile as he enjoyed its warmth on his face.
00:21:58
Speaker 1: As Milo disappeared from sight, Chomp and Maple reflected on
00:22:03
Speaker 1: how grateful they were for Milo and his wisdom. They
00:22:07
Speaker 1: felt more calm and focused than ever before, With new
00:22:12

00:22:16
Speaker 1: daily life, this adventure was sure to be one that

00:22:28
Speaker 1: the sky turned into a magnificent display of oranges, pinks,
00:22:34
Speaker 1: and purples. The colors reflected off the surface of the
00:22:38
Speaker 1: river created a stunning mirrored effect. Chomp and Maple sat
00:22:46
Speaker 1: side by side and felt the warmth.
00:22:49
Speaker 2: Of the sun on their fur.
00:22:51
Speaker 1: They took deep breaths and felt the fresh forest air

Speaker 1: filled their lungs. As they watched the sunset, the bear
00:23:03
Speaker 1: and the beaver started to feel a sense of peace.
00:23:07
Speaker 2: And calm wash over them.

Speaker 1: They felt grateful for the moment in each other's company.
00:23:15
Speaker 1: They sat in silence for a while, simply enjoying the

Speaker 1: moment and taking in the beauty around them. The birds
00:23:25
Speaker 1: sang their evening songs, and the gentle rustle of the
00:23:30
Speaker 1: leaves created a peaceful sound. Chomp and Maple felt content
00:23:37
Speaker 1: and at ease, grateful for the lessons they learned on
00:23:42
Speaker 1: this journey with Milo. As the sun disappeared behind the horizon,
00:23:50
Speaker 1: Maple and Chomps stood up, feeling rejuvenated and ready to
00:23:56
Speaker 1: take on whatever came next. They said their goodbyes, promising
00:24:02
Speaker 1: to meet up again soon. Chump headed back to his
00:24:07
Speaker 1: home to restore his dam, feeling more focused and at
