Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Coco Sleep, a podcast of

Speaker 1: a dream. Coco Sleepers, I know you all are super

Speaker 1: passionate animal lovers like Coco and I, and tonight you

00:00:31

Speaker 1: are in for an amazing surprise. I just know you're

00:00:35

Speaker 1: going to fall in love with our new character we

00:00:38

Speaker 1: all have at sleep HQ. He was suggested to us

00:00:41

Speaker 1: by one of our listeners in the US. Yes, that's you,

00:00:45

Speaker 1: mcclan fifteen, and we have all totally fallen for him.

00:00:50

Speaker 1: Let me read you what mclan fifteen wrote in their

00:00:53

Speaker 1: five star review, Love Love this. Can you do an

00:00:59

Speaker 1: episode on Peanut, the armadillo who loves to eat peanuts

00:01:03

Speaker 1: and play with friends on the grass plains? Yes? May

00:01:08

Speaker 1: I introduce you to Peanut. He's a hard working armadillo

00:01:13

Speaker 1: who decides to give himself a bit of a holiday

00:01:17

Speaker 1: before we go globe trotting back to his home country

00:01:20

Speaker 1: of Costa Rica. Though, please lie back in bed and

00:01:23

Speaker 1: get comfy under your covers. Take some deep breaths in

00:01:30

Speaker 1: and out until your breathing is nice and steady. Relax

00:01:36

Speaker 1: your whole body, your neck, your head, and your face right,

00:01:45

Speaker 1: it's time to pack your imaginary suitcase, grab your passport,

00:01:50

Speaker 1: and let's go on holiday. Don't forget your sunscreen. This

00:01:55

Speaker 1: is Peanut the Armadillo by Alicia Ainslie. Peanut was an armadillo.

00:02:10

Speaker 1: Have you ever seen an armadillo before? They're very impressive creatures.

00:02:15

Speaker 1: Like most armadillos, Peanut was small, about the size of

00:02:18

Speaker 1: a little dog. He had a long, pointed face with

00:02:23

Speaker 1: a little, snuffily pale nose on the end and two

00:02:26

Speaker 1: small pointy ears on the top of his head. He

00:02:30

Speaker 1: had a long, shiny tail and four teeny tiny pink feet.

00:02:36

Speaker 1: Like all armadillos, Peanut's body was covered by an impressive shell.

00:02:41

Speaker 1: Armadillo shells look a bit like turtle shells, except they

00:02:45

Speaker 1: cover their entire head, body, and tail like little suits

00:02:49

Speaker 1: of armor. The only thing left uncovered was Peanut's belly,

00:02:54

Speaker 1: which was covered instead in tufts of fur. His shell

00:02:59

Speaker 1: had hundreds of shiny bumps all over it, in all

00:03:02

Speaker 1: different shades of brown and pink. The bumps were in

00:03:06

Speaker 1: many different shapes and sizes, and they made Peanut look

00:03:10

Speaker 1: very jazzy. Peanut the Armadillo was a hard worker. He

00:03:17

Speaker 1: and all the rest of his armadillo friends in Sleepy

00:03:20

Speaker 1: Forest were the designated guardians of the forest. The rock

00:03:25

Speaker 1: hard shells that they wore across their back, head, legs,

00:03:29

Speaker 1: and tail looked like a knight's armor, and this trustworthy

00:03:34

Speaker 1: outfit marked them perfectly as the guardian of Sleepy Forest.

00:03:40

Speaker 1: But despite how important the armadillos appeared at first glance,

00:03:44

Speaker 1: they were actually very gentle creatures. They would watch the

00:03:49

Speaker 1: forest dutifully from their burrows, looking out for any animals

00:03:54

Speaker 1: in need of help. Sometimes they would see some older

00:03:59

Speaker 1: animals needed help carrying their shopping bags, or sometimes a

00:04:04

Speaker 1: smaller animal in need of a short cut tunnel to

00:04:07

Speaker 1: help them pass under a fallen tree. There was always

00:04:11

Speaker 1: something to keep them busy. The only problem was that

00:04:15

Speaker 1: armadillos love to sleep. In fact, armadillos sleep for up

00:04:22

Speaker 1: to sixteen hours a day, so the armadillos had to

00:04:26

Speaker 1: take it in turns to stay awake and keep watch

00:04:29

Speaker 1: over Sleepy Forest while the rest of the group slept

00:04:33

Speaker 1: in their cozy underground burrows. Peanut the armadillo was a

00:04:39

Speaker 1: dedicated worker and he took his job very seriously. However,

00:04:45

Speaker 1: he was absolutely exhausted. Peanut hadn't had a day off

00:04:51

Speaker 1: work in years, and the effects were starting to show.

00:04:57

Speaker 1: He yawned his way through every shift, and he had big,

00:05:01

Speaker 1: droopy bags underneath both of his little eyes. Sometimes he

00:05:07

Speaker 1: was so tired that he would forget that he was

00:05:10

Speaker 1: on duty and take a little nap, only to wake

00:05:14

Speaker 1: up and find a disgruntled fellow armadillo standing over him

00:05:19

Speaker 1: ready for their shift. Peanut thought he was in big

00:05:24

Speaker 1: need of a vacation, and all the other armadillos agreed wholeheartedly.

00:05:31

Speaker 1: So one Sunday afternoon, Peanut packed his little suit case

00:05:36

Speaker 1: with a few essential items for his holiday. He packed

00:05:41

Speaker 1: his passport, a bottle of sun loation, his swimsuit and

00:05:46

Speaker 1: swimming goggles, a couple of flowery t shirts, and a

00:05:50

Speaker 1: pair of bright green sunglasses. Peanut was going to take

00:05:56

Speaker 1: a vacation somewhere very special to him. He was going

00:06:01

Speaker 1: to go to his home country of Costa Rica, in

00:06:05

Speaker 1: that in America. Peanut had never been to Costa Rica before.

00:06:11

Speaker 1: He had been born beneath the shady trees of Sleepy

00:06:14

Speaker 1: forest and had never stepped foot in his family's homeland,

00:06:20

Speaker 1: but he had heard lots from his parents about what

00:06:24

Speaker 1: a magnificent country, Costa Rica was, so it made perfect

00:06:28

Speaker 1: sense that it should be the place he went on holiday.

00:06:33

Speaker 1: Peanut's fellow armadillo friends waved him off as he said

00:06:38

Speaker 1: good bye, and they wished him a wonderful vacation. Peanut

00:06:45

Speaker 1: headed to the airport and boarded the aeroplane to fly

00:06:49

Speaker 1: to Costa Rica. The flight was going to be long,

00:06:53

Speaker 1: and Peanut had never been on an aeroplane before. At first,

00:06:57

Speaker 1: he was nervous. What would it feel like to fly

00:07:02

Speaker 1: through the air, he wondered. His little pink feet had

00:07:06

Speaker 1: never left the ground before, and soon they were going

00:07:10

Speaker 1: to be thousands of miles up in the air. However,

00:07:15

Speaker 1: as the plane set off and began soaring through the sky,

00:07:19

Speaker 1: Peanut immediately relaxed. Quee he shrieked as the plane wooshed

00:07:26

Speaker 1: and soared up into the air. Peanut gazed out of

00:07:31

Speaker 1: the airplane window and watched a sleepy forest grew tinier

00:07:37

Speaker 1: and tinier as they flew up higher into the sky.

00:07:43

Speaker 1: He couldn't believe that he was actually flying above the

00:07:47

Speaker 1: earth with all the other passengers, and flying was actually

00:07:52

Speaker 1: really fun. At that moment, a big red dragon, followed

00:07:59

Speaker 1: by three little baby red dragons fluttered past his window,

00:08:04

Speaker 1: holding suitcases of their own. The family of dragons must

00:08:09

Speaker 1: be heading off on their vacation too. Peanut waved the

00:08:14

Speaker 1: dragons and they grinned and waved back before flying further ahead.

00:08:21

Speaker 1: Dragons didn't need an aeroplane to get places. Their huge

00:08:25

Speaker 1: wings did the job for them. Peanut the Armadillo settled

00:08:33

Speaker 1: into his seat and closed his eyes. He had a

00:08:37

Speaker 1: long journey ahead, and he wanted to make sure that

00:08:41

Speaker 1: he was well rested to make the most of his

00:08:44

Speaker 1: holiday when he arrived. When Peanut landed in Costa Rica,

00:08:50

Speaker 1: the first thing that he noticed was how much warmer

00:08:54

Speaker 1: it was compared to sleepy forest. As soon as the

00:08:59

Speaker 1: door to the plane opened, Peanut felt a wave of

00:09:04

Speaker 1: warm air wash over him, and he instantly needed to

00:09:08

Speaker 1: take off his jacket. He stepped off the plane into

00:09:14

Speaker 1: the blazing midday sun and tilted his pointy little face

00:09:19

Speaker 1: to the sky. He had never seen a sky so

00:09:25

Speaker 1: blue and so clear before. There wasn't a single cloud

00:09:31

Speaker 1: in the sky. This was going to be a perfect vacation,

00:09:37

Speaker 1: he could tell. Peanut checked into his hotel and decided

00:09:44

Speaker 1: to head straight to the beach to enjoy the glorious

00:09:48

Speaker 1: sunny weather. He arrived at the Sandy beach and found

00:09:53

Speaker 1: a spot to lay down his towel close to the

00:09:57

Speaker 1: beautiful as you'll see. He rubbed sunlotion all over his

00:10:03

Speaker 1: scaly body, making sure that he didn't miss a single spot.

00:10:08

Speaker 1: He didn't want to burn after all. Then he placed

00:10:13

Speaker 1: his bright green sunglasses on his face and lay down

00:10:17

Speaker 1: on his towel to Sunbathe. He could hear the gentle

00:10:23

Speaker 1: rolling of the waves and the sound of shuffling footsteps

00:10:27

Speaker 1: on the sand. There were lots of other animals enjoying

00:10:32

Speaker 1: the beach to day, and he could make out a

00:10:35

Speaker 1: few voices chatting with one another, and one little child

00:10:40

Speaker 1: asking their parent if they could buy ice cream. The

00:10:45

Speaker 1: comforting sounds of the beach instantly made Peanut feel so

00:10:51

Speaker 1: much more relaxed, and he found himself quickly drifting away

00:10:58

Speaker 1: into another daytime dough. Just as Peanut was about to

00:11:04

Speaker 1: fully drift off, he heard a voice next to him

00:11:09

Speaker 1: mask would you like a coconut? Sir? Peanut opened his

00:11:17

Speaker 1: eyes to see a black monkey with a white face

00:11:20

Speaker 1: standing above him, holding a big basket full of brown,

00:11:25

Speaker 1: fuzzy coconuts. Peanut clacked his tongue against the roof of

00:11:30

Speaker 1: his mouth. He was quite thirsty. Actually, some coconut water

00:11:35

Speaker 1: would be just right. Peanut ordered one coconut and handed

00:11:42

Speaker 1: over a dollar to pay. The white faced monkey promptly

00:11:49

Speaker 1: chopped off the top of the coconut shell and placed

00:11:53

Speaker 1: a bright pink straw in the coconut, along with a

00:11:57

Speaker 1: little yellow paper parasol on a stick. He handed the

00:12:03

Speaker 1: decorated coconut to Peanut, and Peanut took a big slur

00:12:09

Speaker 1: of the sweet coconut water. It was delicious and incredibly

00:12:14

Speaker 1: refreshing on such a hot day. Peanut thanked the white

00:12:20

Speaker 1: faced monkey for his scrumptuous drink, and the monkey went

00:12:24

Speaker 1: on his way to offer more coconuts to other beach goers.

00:12:30

Speaker 1: Peanut drank his coconut water and looked out at the sea.

00:12:35

Speaker 1: It was full of life. He could spot dolphins giddly

00:12:41

Speaker 1: jumping out of the water and twirling in the air

00:12:45

Speaker 1: before landing back underwater with a PLoP. He spotted a

00:12:51

Speaker 1: huge green sea turtle toddling its way across the beach

00:12:56

Speaker 1: and into the cool waters for a revitalizing swim. Plus,

00:13:03

Speaker 1: he could see a pair of white spotted eagle rays

00:13:07

Speaker 1: floating through the waters together, gliding with grace and laughing

00:13:15

Speaker 1: at a funny joke shared between them. The more that

00:13:21

Speaker 1: Peanut looked at the sea, the more he wanted to

00:13:25

Speaker 1: go swimming in it. He finished drinking from his coconut

00:13:30

Speaker 1: and put his goggles on. Armadillos are very good swimmers,

00:13:37

Speaker 1: and Peanut swam out into the sea with ease. He

00:13:42

Speaker 1: swam up to the dolphins and watched their fantastic gymnastics

00:13:47

Speaker 1: show up close. He dove to the bottom of the

00:13:51

Speaker 1: seafloor alongside the sea turtle to admire the dazzling coral reef.

00:13:58

Speaker 1: It was so colorful down at the coral reef. Peanut

00:14:03

Speaker 1: had never seen such a spectacular place. He would have

00:14:09

Speaker 1: never imagined that there was such beauty hidden at the

00:14:14

Speaker 1: bottom of the sea. He had such a delightful swim

00:14:19

Speaker 1: through the refreshing waters. Peanut already felt ten times better

00:14:25

Speaker 1: being on vacation. He had no work to think about,

00:14:30

Speaker 1: and he could do whatever he wanted and rest as

00:14:34

Speaker 1: much as possible. It was utter bliss. After his swim,

00:14:42

Speaker 1: Peanut returned to the shore to grab his things. He

00:14:47

Speaker 1: was feeling slightly peckish, so he thought it would be

00:14:50

Speaker 1: a good idea to go and get some food. He

00:14:54

Speaker 1: spotted a lovely looking restaurant by the beach. He read

00:14:59

Speaker 1: the menu out side, and there were all sorts of

00:15:02

Speaker 1: unique dishes that he had never heard of before. He

00:15:07

Speaker 1: couldn't wait to try them. He went and sat himself

00:15:12

Speaker 1: down at one of the tables on the verandah and

00:15:15

Speaker 1: tried to catch sight of a waiter. However, when he

00:15:20

Speaker 1: looked around, he realized that he was the only person there,

00:15:25

Speaker 1: and they didn't appear to be any staff around either.

00:15:30

Speaker 1: Is the restaurant closed in the middle of the day,

00:15:34

Speaker 1: Peanut thought, how peculiar. He wandered over to the door

00:15:40

Speaker 1: and took a look at the little sign hanging from

00:15:43

Speaker 1: a string. It read we are closed for a siesta.

00:15:50

Speaker 1: Come back later. Peanut scratched his head with confusion. What

00:15:57

Speaker 1: was a siesta? He waddled back towards the beach and

00:16:03

Speaker 1: spotted the white faced monkey again. Hello, he greeted the

00:16:09

Speaker 1: monkey carrying the cocoanuts. Do you mind if I ask

00:16:13

Speaker 1: you a question? What is a siesta? The white faced

00:16:20

Speaker 1: monkey informed Peanut that in Costa Rica, a lot of

00:16:25

Speaker 1: people take a siesta in the afternoon. A siesta is

00:16:30

Speaker 1: a time in the day when people take a break

00:16:34

Speaker 1: to rest and nap before recommencing their work for the

00:16:38

Speaker 1: rest of the afternoon and evening. Peanut liked the sound

00:16:44

Speaker 1: of a siesta. As an animal who loved to sleep,

00:16:49

Speaker 1: he appreciated the dedicated time to rest in the middle

00:16:54

Speaker 1: of a busy work day. Perhaps when he returned home

00:16:59

Speaker 1: to Sleepy Forest, he could suggest that all of the

00:17:02

Speaker 1: Armadillos took an afternoon siest too. He was sure that

00:17:07

Speaker 1: it would make everybody a lot happier and much more productive.

00:17:14

Speaker 1: Respecting the restaurant's siesta time, Peanut headed back to his

00:17:19

Speaker 1: hotel to enjoy a siesta of his own. He laid

00:17:23

Speaker 1: down on his hotel room's King Sigh's comfy bed and

00:17:28

Speaker 1: closed his eyes. The sweet, fresh breeze from the air

00:17:34

Speaker 1: conditioning unit tickled his skin and cooled him down. After

00:17:40

Speaker 1: a few hours in the sun, and he peacefully drifted

00:17:45

Speaker 1: off for his own afternoon siesta. Peanut woke up a

00:17:51

Speaker 1: couple of hours later and checked his watch. It was

00:17:55

Speaker 1: almost five o'clock and his tummy was starting to rum

00:18:00

Speaker 1: and grumble. He hoped that the restaurants would all be

00:18:05

Speaker 1: open now. He dressed for dinner in his favorite yellow

00:18:11

Speaker 1: flowery T shirt and headed back to the restaurant next

00:18:15

Speaker 1: to the beach. It was certainly open now as he

00:18:19

Speaker 1: witnessed the bright glowing lights of table candles and light

00:18:23

Speaker 1: bulbs hanging from the ceiling. There was live music playing,

00:18:28

Speaker 1: and he could see that there were already lots of

00:18:31

Speaker 1: customers enjoying their meals. Peanart asked for a table for

00:18:37

Speaker 1: one and was seated by the friendly waitress at a

00:18:42

Speaker 1: table looking out over the sea. The waitress was a

00:18:47

Speaker 1: radiant Tucan with silky black feathers and a creamy white face.

00:18:53

Speaker 1: Her black eyes sparkled, illuminated by her orange eyeshadow. For

00:19:00

Speaker 1: the most impressive thing about her was her splendid eye,

00:19:06

Speaker 1: caching bright orange beak. Peanut had never seen a bird

00:19:13

Speaker 1: so impressive before. He inspected the menu and his mouth

00:19:19

Speaker 1: began to water as he browsed. There were all sorts

00:19:24

Speaker 1: of dishes that looked absolutely delicious, and Peanut couldn't choose.

00:19:31

Speaker 1: He asked the kind waitress what she would recommend, and

00:19:36

Speaker 1: she suggested he try the salpernegar, which was a traditional

00:19:41

Speaker 1: black bean soup. Peanut trusted her recommendation and ordered the

00:19:48

Speaker 1: salpernegar along with a glass of coconut water. He had

00:19:53

Speaker 1: become quite partial to it since his arrival. Peanut bopped

00:19:59

Speaker 1: along in his seat to the live music while he

00:20:02

Speaker 1: waited for his food. The band were excellent, and the

00:20:07

Speaker 1: music they played was so lively and funky that it

00:20:11

Speaker 1: was impossible not to jig along. Peanut's bowl of Supernegra

00:20:18

Speaker 1: arrived and he dug straight in. He was absolutely famished.

00:20:25

Speaker 1: The warming black bean soup was full of tasty vegetables

00:20:31

Speaker 1: and served with a bowl of crackling tortilla chips. He

00:20:35

Speaker 1: dunked the tortillas into the delectable soup and ate it

00:20:40

Speaker 1: so fast that the waitress could hardly believe it. She'd

00:20:44

Speaker 1: never seen somebody eat so quickly before, but then Peanut

00:20:50

Speaker 1: had never been so hungry before, and the Supernegra was

00:20:56

Speaker 1: absolutely delicious. While Peanut waited for his dessert, a pair

00:21:03

Speaker 1: of tall, stately jaguars rose from their seats. Peanut quickly

00:21:11

Speaker 1: realized that the jaguars were professional dancers as they took

00:21:16

Speaker 1: to the dance floor in the middle of the restaurant

00:21:19

Speaker 1: and moved to the music, They twisted and shook their

00:21:25

Speaker 1: hips and performed the fanciest footwork Peanut had ever seen.

00:21:34

Speaker 1: The pair of jaguars twisted under each other's arms and

00:21:38

Speaker 1: twirled around without stopping. Their dancing was absolutely mesmerizing, and

00:21:48

Speaker 1: they moved in perfect time with the lively percussion from

00:21:52

Speaker 1: the band. As the song ended, the dancers took their

00:21:58

Speaker 1: bow and the whole restaurant erupted with applause. Nobody clapped

00:22:05

Speaker 1: harder than Peanut the armadillo. He was blown away by

00:22:10

Speaker 1: their impressive dance skills. Peanut was having such a good

00:22:17

Speaker 1: time on his vacation. He had already taken more naps

00:22:22

Speaker 1: than he had in months, and swam in the sea,

00:22:26

Speaker 1: meeting impressive new animals along the way. He was enjoying

00:22:31

Speaker 1: the traditional foods of Costa Rica and was experiencing their

00:22:36

Speaker 1: music and entertainment with delight. Peanut wondered if he would

00:22:42

Speaker 1: ever want to return home to sleepy Forest. He was

00:22:46

Speaker 1: having such a good time. Peanut's dessert arrived. He had

00:22:53

Speaker 1: ordered a mouth watering dessert made with milk, rice and

00:22:58

Speaker 1: cinnamon called ados conletchi. It looked absolutely delightful. Before the

00:23:08

Speaker 1: Toucan waitress left. Peanut asked her, excuse me, what kind

00:23:15

Speaker 1: of dancing were those jaguars just performing. I've never seen

00:23:19

Speaker 1: anything so intricate and enchanting before the waitress explained that

00:23:26

Speaker 1: the jaguars had been dancing the salsa. Salsa dancing was

00:23:32

Speaker 1: a very popular dance form in Costa Rica and across

00:23:36

Speaker 1: other countries of Latin America. Panut was captivated. Peanut was

00:23:44

Speaker 1: eager to gobble up his dessert, but right at that moment,

00:23:48

Speaker 1: the professional dancing jaguars started to encourage diners in the

00:23:53

Speaker 1: restaurant to join them for a salsa dancing lesson. Nut's

00:24:00

Speaker 1: ears pricked at the suggestion and his eyes lit up.

00:24:07

Speaker 1: He would love to learn how to salsa dance, just

00:24:11

Speaker 1: like the brilliant performers he had just watched. He ate

00:24:16

Speaker 1: up his arrows conletche dessert in record breaking time and

00:24:22

Speaker 1: hopped up onto the dance floor. He walked up to

00:24:27

Speaker 1: the female jaguar and asked, is it all right if

00:24:32

Speaker 1: I join in? I would love to learn to dance

00:24:36

Speaker 1: like you. She replied that of course he could join in.

00:24:43

Speaker 1: In fact, he could be her dance partner. Peanuts was

00:24:49

Speaker 1: excited to have such a professional dance partner. All the

00:24:55

Speaker 1: diners in the restaurant chose their partners, and the two

00:25:00

Speaker 1: jaguars began to lead them all in a Salser dance class.

00:25:06

Speaker 1: The music kicked in with a jaunty beat, and the

00:25:10

Speaker 1: room came alive with dancing and merriment. The jaguars taught

00:25:17

Speaker 1: them all how to hold each other correctly, and step

00:25:21

Speaker 1: their feet forward and back past each other, and twist

00:25:27

Speaker 1: and twirl under each other's arms. Peanut looked round and

00:25:33

Speaker 1: everyone else seemed to be getting the hang of it,

00:25:37

Speaker 1: but he kept stumbling over his little feet and his

00:25:42

Speaker 1: hands weren't long enough for the jaguar to spin underneath them.

00:25:48

Speaker 1: Peanut tried as hard as he could to shake his

00:25:51

Speaker 1: hips like everyone else, but his heavy armored shell got

00:25:56

Speaker 1: in the way and he looked as stiff as a board.

00:26:02

Speaker 1: The sweet dancing jaguar could see Peanut struggling and reassured

00:26:08

Speaker 1: him that it would get easier. But the more that

00:26:13

Speaker 1: Peanut looked around and saw everyone else perfecting their moves,

00:26:19

Speaker 1: laughing and having fun, Peanut felt left behind. He just

00:26:26

Speaker 1: wasn't a natural Salta dancer. Suddenly, the jaguar that Peanut

00:26:34

Speaker 1: was dancing with clapped her hands in the air and

00:26:38

Speaker 1: announced to the crowd on the dance floor that they

00:26:41

Speaker 1: would now all have an opportunity to perform a shine.

00:26:49

Speaker 1: A shine was a small dance break in which they

00:26:53

Speaker 1: all would have the opportunity to improvise and create their

00:26:58

Speaker 1: own moves in a bid to enjoy a shining moment.

00:27:05

Speaker 1: Peanut felt stumped. He wasn't a very good dancer, and

00:27:11

Speaker 1: he would surely make a fool of himself without the

00:27:15

Speaker 1: Jaguar to lead him in some dance moves. Peanut looked

00:27:21

Speaker 1: around and saw that the other diners were all happily

00:27:25

Speaker 1: breaking free of their partners to dance and shine. They

00:27:32

Speaker 1: were all twirling on the spot, twisting their hips and

00:27:37

Speaker 1: stomping their feet. Everyone seemed to have such better rhythm

00:27:43

Speaker 1: than him. Peanut started to feel a bit self conscious

00:27:50

Speaker 1: that he wasn't confident enough to break free on his

00:27:53

Speaker 1: own and perform a shine. But then he hadn't idea. Yeah,

00:28:01

Speaker 1: Peanut may not be able to shake his hips in

00:28:05

Speaker 1: his tough armored shell or stump his tiny little feet

00:28:11

Speaker 1: with enough impact, but he could make the most out

00:28:16

Speaker 1: of what his unique body could do. Peanut curled up

00:28:23

Speaker 1: within his shell until he was as tight as a ball.

00:28:28

Speaker 1: He tucked in his head, pulled in his tail, and

00:28:33

Speaker 1: began to roll around the dance floor. Everybody had to

00:28:39

Speaker 1: move out of the way as he sped around excitedly.

00:28:43

Speaker 1: He spun, bounced, and wound his way underneath people's feet

00:28:49

Speaker 1: and threw their legs. He created quite the scene, and

00:28:55

Speaker 1: when he finally popped back up out of his shell

00:28:59

Speaker 1: and faced everyone else on the dance floor, nobody else

00:29:04

Speaker 1: had even completed their shining moments. Peanut had completely stolen

00:29:11

Speaker 1: the show, and the other dancers applauded him for his creative,

00:29:17

Speaker 1: impressive shine. Peanut smiled and bowed humbly, and the jaguar

00:29:26

Speaker 1: patted him on the back of his shell. I told

00:29:31

Speaker 1: you it would get better, she whispered. When the salsa

00:29:37

Speaker 1: dancing class was over, Peanut returned to his table and

00:29:43

Speaker 1: paid his bill. He stretched his little arms above his

00:29:49

Speaker 1: head let out a big yawn. He yawn as the

00:30:00

Speaker 1: Toucan waitress gave him his receipt. I think I'm ready

00:30:07

Speaker 1: to return home for a siesta, he added. The Tucan

00:30:13

Speaker 1: giggled and told him that a siesta is only what

00:30:18

Speaker 1: you have in the afternoon. What Peanut needed to return

00:30:23

Speaker 1: home for was a good old fashioned night's sleep. Peanut

00:30:30

Speaker 1: blushed and thanked her for taking care of him that evening.

00:30:36

Speaker 1: He clearly still had plenty to learn about Costa Rica,

00:30:41

Speaker 1: but he couldn't wait to know more. Peanut walked back

00:30:47

Speaker 1: to his hotel and practically fell into his bed that night.

00:30:54

Speaker 1: His day had been so full of so many fun activities,

00:31:00

Speaker 1: and he had filled his belly with so much good,

00:31:05

Speaker 1: hearty food pluts. He had enjoyed several delightful naps throughout

00:31:12

Speaker 1: the day. Peanut was very much enjoying his time in

00:31:18

Speaker 1: Costa Rica. He could get used to it here. As

00:31:26

Speaker 1: Peanut curled himself up into bed, he promised himself that

00:31:33

Speaker 1: in the future he would make the effort to travel

00:31:37

Speaker 1: to lots more new countries. He loved learning about all

00:31:44

Speaker 1: the different traditions and cultures, and there were so many

00:31:48

Speaker 1: out there to discover. Peanut closed his eyes and let

00:31:55

Speaker 1: his breathing fall to a steady pace. He wondered what

00:32:02

Speaker 1: delights he would encounter tomorrow. Peanut fell asleep and dreamt

00:32:10

Speaker 1: that he was an expert sulser dancer performing on a

00:32:15

Speaker 1: stage with a live band in the audience. The dancing

00:32:22

Speaker 1: jaguars bowed down to him, and the two con waitress

00:32:28

Speaker 1: cheered with support, while the white faced monkey from the

00:32:34

Speaker 1: beach handed out cocoanuts to the audience. It was a

00:32:40

Speaker 1: funny dream, and Peanut enjoyed every moment of it. He

00:32:46

Speaker 1: slept soundly that night, with sweet dreams entertaining him the

00:32:53

Speaker 1: whole night long, and awaited a new day of his blissful,

00:33:00

Speaker 1: relaxing vacation.
