Hello everyone, it’s Abbe here! Well, campers...we've made it! It's Week Five of Koko's Summer Camp which means it's time to announce our final winners of the summer!
Before we reveal who they are, I want to say a huge well done to every single camper who has joined us this summer. Whether you've ticked off every challenge right from Week One, or completed a few activities here and there - we've absolutely loved seeing all of your creations and it's truly brightened up our summer!
For Week Five’s challenge, we handed the microphone over to YOU and got you campers to create your very own mini podcasts! I have to say, it was so lovely to hear you bring your characters and adventures to life!
Of course, you weren’t going to make the competition any easier for the final week! But after lots of listening, discussing…and listening all over again - we finally managed to choose our final Summer Camp 2026 winners.
So our Week 5 Winners are…
Margaret Kominitsky, Grace Williamson in the Shetland Islands, Leannah in Indiana and Emily in Gloucestershire.
And this time, instead of me telling you about the winning entries, you’re going to get to hear them for yourselves! That's right, each of our winners are about to take over the Koala Moon microphone, and hear their very own voice live on the podcast! So stick around until the end to hear!
Remember, you can catch up with all of our Summer Camp 2026 winners over on our socials. So grab a grown-up and head over to our Instagram, our handle is @koalakids.fm.
And even though our competitions have now closed, it doesn’t mean that the fun is over! If you’d like to complete the activities in your own time, you can still get your hands on every single Camp Pack by joining the Koko Club and signing up for Koko’s Summer Camp.
We’d still love to see what you create, too! You can send your completed challenges to mail@koalamoon.com right up until September.
So, from me, Koko, and everyone here at Koala Kids, a huge well done, campers. Thank you for spending your summer creating with us - and congratulations on completing Koko’s Summer Camp 2026! 🐨 🏕️

[00:02:28] Thank you for spending your summer creating with us and congratulations on completing Coco's Summer Camp 2026. Now, are we ready for this very special episode? Listening to all of your voices on the actual podcast? Here we go! Let's start with Moji the Dolphin and the Magical Kelp Forest by Margaret Kominitsky.
[00:02:56] Hi, I'm Margaret from California. Now, let's get on with the story. One day, in the ocean near the equator, with lots of coral reefs and beautiful seaweed, sat Mojo the Dolphin. Mojo loved his family, his friends, his iPad. No question it, dolphins just have iPads. And he loved it there more than ever.
[00:03:24] But here's the thing. He wanted to see a kelp forest. And he decided that the next morning after a good night's sleep, he went out and decided to go see a kelp forest. He traveled for days. Each day he FaceTimed his friends. See, that's why they have iPads. Slash tablets.
[00:03:49] And when he finished searching and found the kelp forest, it was amazing. The kelp forest was beautiful. It was bright green. And he decided to take a good, nice nap in it. And me personally, I don't like napping because I sleep a lot at night. He loved napping.
[00:04:18] And that nap was the best he ever had. And so he said to all his friends when he got back, Go see the kelp forest. Because that's the good place to be. The end. Thank you. Wasn't that brilliant? Now we have Blossom and the Mystical Map Adventure by Grace Williamson.
[00:04:44] Welcome to Blossom Stories. Hope you liked today's episode. Blossom was in the kitchen washing the dishes. A bird flew in with a map. Here you are, Miss Blossom, said the bird. Thank you, said Blossom. She went to her bedroom to look at the map. But all she could see was a big red X. No directions on it. She held the map up to the sunlight.
[00:05:12] But none of the directions showed up. She went up for dinner and had a delicious dinner. When she came back down, it was dark. But there was something blowing. It was the map. The ink was blowing the dark. She goes over to the map. The directions were on the map. She drew on another piece of paper so she would remember the directions.
[00:05:38] The next morning, she went in her super submarine to where the X was. Blossom was there standing in a ring of golden light. He said, Kira was missing. Oh no, said Blossom. We have to find her. So they went on a boat. But the captain called, Blossom, you've lost your hat. And then when they got off the boat, they went on a bike and there was Buck the beaver.
[00:06:06] Coco said, have you seen my sister, Kira? Yes, she was walking home when I was chewing on my piece of wood, said Buck the beaver. They go home and found Kira asleep in the garden. Did you draw this wonderful map, Kira? said Blossom. Yes, said Kira, with a yawn. Thank you, said Blossom. For what? said Kira. For writing the map. And giving me a great adventure, said Blossom.
[00:06:35] You're welcome, said Kira. The end. Thank you, Grace. We loved hearing you bring your story to life. Next, get cosy for Patty, Belle and the Disappearing Portals by Liana. One day, Patty and Belle were packing their bags to meet Coco and Kira at Potato and Beans Diner.
[00:07:02] They started flying towards the portal that led to the diner. When they got there, the portal was missing. What will we do? cried Patty. Belle thought for a second. Maybe we should head home and come back later, suggested Belle. They started walking home, but as they were walking, they noticed a piece of paper in the grass. I saw a fairy drop it off this morning, said Jerry, the talking blade of grass. Couldn't reach it, so I've been yelling all day long. Patty picked up the note and started to read.
[00:07:31] So sorry about the pearls. I had to use the dust from them to feed my pets. To fix them, go get the purple crystal from the top of Mount Sparkletop and put it in the slime river. Elle carefully clipped Jerry the talking blade of grass to take on the adventure. They got to the mountain and started climbing. At first it was sunny. Then it rained. Then it was very foggy. Eventually it was sunny again. They came across a giant lava pit and had to use their wings to get across.
[00:08:00] When all three of them had safely landed on the other side, Patty and Belle's wings were very tired. They finally all reached the top. Patty had now already grabbed the crystal and was ready to slide down. Let's go, she called out to them. Come in, Jerry called back. They all slid down the mountain, flying over the lava pit. They reached the bottom and threw the crystal into the slime river.
[00:08:27] Suddenly all the portals appeared again and all three of them went running towards the portal to the diner. When they got there, Coco and Kira were waiting for them. Patty and Belle introduced their new friend Jerry to Coco and Kira. Afterwards, they all went back to the cheese star house and up to the leaf hammocks. Good night, friends, Jerry said, but they had already fallen asleep. That was so relaxing. Thank you, Liana.
[00:08:55] Last but not least, we have a snippet of Bubble, Star and the Moonlit Mystery Trail by Emily. Bubble and Star and the Moonlit Mystery Trail One day, Bubble and Star were working very hard in the post office when suddenly they heard the voice of their mum calling from the corridor.
[00:09:23] Bubble, Star, would you like to go to the park? She said, yes please. They called back. Bubble and Star ran to the corridor to find their mum packing a bag of supplies. When she was done, the three pigs set off to the park. At the park they had a lot of fun going on the slides and the swings and lots of other things. When it was time to go, a sudden sparkling mist hid the air in front of the pigs.
[00:09:51] Bubble was desperate to go in, but Star and their mum weren't so sure. But they did it anyway. Inside the mist looked very magical. Just as the pigs were about to take a step, they heard a sound. It sounded like a, Eeeey! They followed the neigh to find a horse. They asked the horse what was wrong. The horse said that it was lost.
[00:10:19] The three pigs said that the horse could come with them on the trail. So the three pigs and the horse set off on the trail. Standing in the centre of a big field was a big stage. And there was flashing lights all over it. And then all the friends noticed. It was a party! The friends danced and danced and more animals even started appearing.
[00:10:48] There was Tato and Bean, Arlo and Louie, Betty and her children Chip, Lavender and Ginger. And lots of others. After a while of dancing, all the friends started to leave. Fabulous! Thank you, Emily. What lovely storytelling. Right, well that's it from me. Thank you again for all of your amazing summer camp entries. And good night.
