Once upon a time, there was a mermaid with the most exquisite voice in the whole of the ocean. Her name was Aria An Aria is a song in an opera show, so what could be more fitting for a mermaid with such a dazzling singing voice. Aria was a very pretty, brightly colored mermaid with long pink hair that trickled all the way down her back and skin that shimmered with an underwater glow. Her big eyes were silver and shone as brightly as the moon's beams, and her long sequinned fishtail was a soft lilac color. Aria loved living in the ocean, and whenever she wasn't busy singing on the sides of rocks or tending to the tiny fish around her, she loved to explore the humongous ocean she called home. Aria had been to the Great Barrier Reef and dived down to inspect abandon shipwrecks at the bottom of the seas. She had explored Antarctica and admired the icebergs and glaciers that grew there. And she had even wandered into a river or two that wound through the human towns on land. Aria was a seeker of adventure, and she was always keen to learn more about the big, bright, beautiful world that she lived in. One night, when the moon was full and the sky was black, Aria lay awake in her underwater home. She tossed and turned in her watery bed, but no matter how many imaginary dolphins she counted, or how many slow bubbly breaths she took, she just couldn't seem to drift off to sleep. Aria looked out into the dark blue ocean and saw the outline of the silver moon glowing above the water's surface. Aria had never explored the ocean at night. Perhaps tonight was the perfect opportunity to do so. After a bit of extra swimming around and exploring, she might finally feel tired enough to fall asleep. Got up out of bed and headed back out into the nighttime waters of the ocean. As Arria roamed, her eyes sparkled with wonderment as she admired the scene around her. In the daytime, the sun shone down into the water, illuminating the ocean with a mystical golden glow that glimmered around her. However, to night, the water glistened with an enchanting light that made the water around her appear like liquid silver. It shimmered and shone as she swam, and Aria danced and twirled in the dazzling waters with delight.
