Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Coco Sleep, a podcast of

00:00:15

Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime

00:00:21

Speaker 1: a dream. Before we begin, Coco and I want to

00:00:26

Speaker 1: say a really big, heartfelt thank you. Recently, I've been

00:00:30

Speaker 1: asking you to rate and review the show, and suddenly

00:00:34

Speaker 1: Sleep HQ has been inundated. We read them all and

00:00:38

Speaker 1: we love to see what you're enjoying, so thank you

00:00:40

Speaker 1: for taking the time, just like Harry Potter fan from

00:00:43

Speaker 1: the US did, to tell us what you like and

00:00:46

Speaker 1: why you like it. Another reason we value your reviews

00:00:51

Speaker 1: is because they help other families to find us. That

00:00:54

Speaker 1: means more relaxing bedtimes and many calmer, happier evenings, and

00:01:00

Speaker 1: that makes Cocoa a very happy koala. Indeed. Now on

00:01:07

Speaker 1: to tonight's story, where we will learn how dreams are

00:01:10

Speaker 1: created and follow a magical dream giver and his son

00:01:15

Speaker 1: as they deliver dreams to the world. Close your eyes

00:01:20

Speaker 1: and imagine magic golden dust being sprinkled over your face,

00:01:25

Speaker 1: relaxing you and lulling you into a peaceful, deep sleep.

00:01:32

Speaker 1: This is Bring Me a Dream by Alicia Ainslie. Have

00:01:42

Speaker 1: you ever wondered where dreams come from? Dreams? Visit us

00:01:47

Speaker 1: each night when we close our eyes. You may not

00:01:51

Speaker 1: always remember them, but they are there, soothing us and

00:01:55

Speaker 1: entertaining us. While we sleep. Without dreams, our nights would

00:02:01

Speaker 1: be very dull. Dreams allow us to live out new

00:02:05

Speaker 1: lives and do things we can never do in the

00:02:08

Speaker 1: real world. Dreams help us process what has happened in

00:02:13

Speaker 1: the day and escape to different realities for a short while.

00:02:19

Speaker 1: You can be any one or do anything whisked in

00:02:22

Speaker 1: a deep slumber. Everything is possible in a dream. But

00:02:28

Speaker 1: where do our dreams come from? Who creates dreams and

00:02:33

Speaker 1: puts them in our heads? Well, that would be the

00:02:37

Speaker 1: dream givers. Dream Givers are magical creatures that look very

00:02:42

Speaker 1: much like you and me, but they are very different too.

00:02:48

Speaker 1: The dream givers dwell in a magical land beyond the

00:02:51

Speaker 1: clouds and just before the stars. They live in cozy,

00:02:57

Speaker 1: little purple houses that float on top of fluffy white

00:03:01

Speaker 1: clouds and go completely unnoticed by the humans on the

00:03:05

Speaker 1: earth below. During the daytime, they rest and play, They

00:03:13

Speaker 1: create art and write stories. Dream Givers are very creative beings,

00:03:20

Speaker 1: and their skills are put to perfect use at night

00:03:23

Speaker 1: when they go to work. When the night comes and

00:03:29

Speaker 1: the humans of the earth are all tucked up in

00:03:32

Speaker 1: their beds. The magical dream givers fly around the world,

00:03:37

Speaker 1: sprinkling their dream dust over the roofs of the houses,

00:03:41

Speaker 1: giving sweet dreams to everyone inside. Do you remember a

00:03:48

Speaker 1: really fun dream he once had? Well, a dream giver

00:03:53

Speaker 1: gave you that. Dreamgivers are very kind and full of wonderful,

00:03:59

Speaker 1: exciting ideas. Their talents are put to good use, providing

00:04:05

Speaker 1: dreams to the people of the world. If you remember

00:04:09

Speaker 1: your dream the next day, then you're very lucky to

00:04:12

Speaker 1: have the memory of one of their mystical creations. So

00:04:18

Speaker 1: what does a dream giver look like? I hear you ask.

00:04:23

Speaker 1: Dream givers have light blue skin, the color of the sky,

00:04:27

Speaker 1: and are only small. In fact, they are the same

00:04:31

Speaker 1: size as the ladybirds you see in your garden. But

00:04:36

Speaker 1: while they may be small, their powers are mighty. Dream

00:04:42

Speaker 1: Givers look just like humans, except their eyes sparkle like

00:04:47

Speaker 1: the twinkling of the stars, and their skin shimmers as

00:04:51

Speaker 1: if they are covered from head to toe in glitter.

00:04:56

Speaker 1: They speak in soft, hushed tones because they never want

00:05:01

Speaker 1: to wake anyone, and they fly thanks to tiny angel

00:05:05

Speaker 1: wings that protrude out of their backs. Dream givers have

00:05:11

Speaker 1: families just like you and me. There are mothers and fathers,

00:05:17

Speaker 1: and brothers and sisters, and they all help each other.

00:05:24

Speaker 1: When young dream givers turn just eight years old, they

00:05:29

Speaker 1: begin to learn how to create dreams out of dream

00:05:33

Speaker 1: dust and fly through the skies, assisting their parents in

00:05:38

Speaker 1: providing dreams to the world. Dream Dust is very powerful

00:05:45

Speaker 1: and magical. Only dream givers can see the gold shimmering

00:05:49

Speaker 1: dust as they sprinkle it from their finger tips and

00:05:54

Speaker 1: down on to the houses below. The dust magically seek

00:06:00

Speaker 1: through the house and lands on the heads of the

00:06:03

Speaker 1: people sleeping inside. That's when the magic happens. As soon

00:06:11

Speaker 1: as the dream does lands on the heads of the sleepers,

00:06:16

Speaker 1: they immediately relax and fall into a deep sleep. Then

00:06:23

Speaker 1: the dream givers can really get to work. Dream Givers

00:06:30

Speaker 1: know all about what people like and how to help

00:06:33

Speaker 1: them sleep peacefully. A dream giver could guide you to

00:06:38

Speaker 1: dream about a large, open green park where you can

00:06:43

Speaker 1: play with your friends all night long. They could create

00:06:49

Speaker 1: a dream for you in which you saw through the

00:06:52

Speaker 1: sky on the back of your pet dragon. They might

00:06:57

Speaker 1: even give you a dream all about out of space

00:07:01

Speaker 1: where you can float amongst the stars and greet friendly aliens.

00:07:07

Speaker 1: The possibilities are endless in your dreams. Dream givers love

00:07:14

Speaker 1: their job and get great satisfaction in designing dreams for everyone,

00:07:21

Speaker 1: even you. So one night, when Orian the dream giver,

00:07:28

Speaker 1: ran out of ideas for dreams, he had a big

00:07:32

Speaker 1: problem on his hands. Orion had been creating dreams for

00:07:37

Speaker 1: over a hundred years. He had designed dreams for kings

00:07:42

Speaker 1: and queens, celebrities, and regular folk alike. He had even

00:07:48

Speaker 1: provided sweet slumbers for animals like the Regal Lion and

00:07:53

Speaker 1: the Gentle Giraffe. His repertoire of dreams was impressive, and

00:08:00

Speaker 1: he had never had a disappointed customer. But now, in

00:08:05

Speaker 1: his one hundred and twenty fifth year, Orion had suddenly

00:08:11

Speaker 1: run out of ideas. What am I going to do?

00:08:18

Speaker 1: Orion lamented to his wife as they relaxed in their

00:08:22

Speaker 1: cozy little house in the clouds one Friday morning. Last night,

00:08:29

Speaker 1: I barely gave out any dreams. I bear. You have

00:08:33

Speaker 1: any ideas, and all of them are so uninspired. How

00:08:38

Speaker 1: can I give any one sweet dreams when I have

00:08:42

Speaker 1: a creative block? His wife stroked his head and ran

00:08:49

Speaker 1: her fingers through his wispy white hair as she thought

00:08:54

Speaker 1: it was very strange that Orion was struggling to create

00:08:58

Speaker 1: dreams when he had never had any problems before. While

00:09:05

Speaker 1: he laid his head on her lap with his feet

00:09:08

Speaker 1: up on the sofa, she watched their two children play outside.

00:09:15

Speaker 1: They had a little girl named Astrid and a little

00:09:18

Speaker 1: boy named Cosmo. Cosmo and Astrid were only young, at

00:09:24

Speaker 1: just six and four years old, but one day they

00:09:29

Speaker 1: would grow up to become dreamgivers, just like their parents.

00:09:36

Speaker 1: As she watched her darling children play outside, she smiled fondly,

00:09:43

Speaker 1: admiring their childish, abandoned and vivid imaginations. They never needed

00:09:50

Speaker 1: any toys to play with. Astrid and Cosmo were always

00:09:55

Speaker 1: content simply playing with one another. They would concoct imaginary

00:10:02

Speaker 1: worlds in their minds and ran around the clouds, pretending

00:10:06

Speaker 1: to be characters in their own little games. That's when

00:10:12

Speaker 1: their mother had an idea. She looked down at Oryan

00:10:17

Speaker 1: laid across her lap, feeling very sorry for himself, and

00:10:22

Speaker 1: made a suggestion, why don't you take some inspiration from

00:10:28

Speaker 1: your children. They have brilliant imaginations, and I'm sure they

00:10:34

Speaker 1: could give you lots of new ideas for dreams. Orion

00:10:40

Speaker 1: sat up straight and turned to look at his children

00:10:45

Speaker 1: out of the window. His wife was right, They did

00:10:51

Speaker 1: have wonderful imaginations, and they were full of youthful curiosity

00:10:57

Speaker 1: that could be beneficial to his Orion decided to head

00:11:05

Speaker 1: out to work this evening with a special apprentice by

00:11:10

Speaker 1: his side, six year old Cosmo. Now, usually dream givers

00:11:18

Speaker 1: don't begin creating dreams until they are at least eight

00:11:22

Speaker 1: years old, but Orian was desperate and hoped that his

00:11:27

Speaker 1: son could provide him with some much needed originality. That night,

00:11:35

Speaker 1: he prepared for work and made up a small bag

00:11:39

Speaker 1: of dream dust especially for Cosmo. He handed Cosmo the

00:11:45

Speaker 1: small gold draw string bag and told him this is

00:11:51

Speaker 1: your dream dust, Cosmo, and with this dust you can

00:11:56

Speaker 1: create any dream you want for whoever it lands on.

00:12:03

Speaker 1: Do you have some ideas? Cosmo nodded his head eagerly,

00:12:10

Speaker 1: and Orion patted the top of his head with relief. Good,

00:12:17

Speaker 1: he said, then let's fly. With that. He took his

00:12:24

Speaker 1: son's little hand, and together they soared up into the sky,

00:12:31

Speaker 1: flying way above the clouds and out into the night.

00:12:38

Speaker 1: Cosmo's little wings flapped and fluttered excitedly as he floated

00:12:45

Speaker 1: alongside his father. They had never been now flying together

00:12:51

Speaker 1: beyond their home before, and Cosmo had never seen his

00:12:57

Speaker 1: father at work. As they flew through the sky, Cosmo

00:13:04

Speaker 1: could see that his father wasn't the only dream giver

00:13:08

Speaker 1: working to night. There were adult dream givers everywhere. He

00:13:15

Speaker 1: could see the creatures of his magical land, jumping from

00:13:20

Speaker 1: house to house, sprinkling their golden dream dust down the

00:13:26

Speaker 1: chimneys and through the windows. There were men and women,

00:13:32

Speaker 1: and even young dream givers like himself. Although they all

00:13:38

Speaker 1: were much older than Cosmo, Cosmo was perhaps the youngest

00:13:44

Speaker 1: dream giver ever to be out on the job. Together,

00:13:51

Speaker 1: Cosmo and Orion zoomed through the skies, dancing above the

00:13:58

Speaker 1: sleeping houses and casting their shadows across the moon. Eventually,

00:14:06

Speaker 1: Orion and Cosmo stopped and rested on the roof of

00:14:12

Speaker 1: a house. It was a big stone house with a

00:14:18

Speaker 1: red roof, a long, pale wooden fence bordered all the

00:14:25

Speaker 1: way around the house and its garden, and two squeaky

00:14:31

Speaker 1: clean cars were parked on the driveway. Cosmo could hear

00:14:38

Speaker 1: light snoring coming from inside. Everyone must already be asleep.

00:14:47

Speaker 1: Orion pulled out his bag of dream dust and gestured

00:14:52

Speaker 1: to Cosmo to do the same. They both opened up

00:14:56

Speaker 1: their bags and stuck their thumb forefinger inside to gather

00:15:03

Speaker 1: a sprinkling of dream dust. It was up to Orion

00:15:08

Speaker 1: to teach his son how to design dreams correctly so

00:15:13

Speaker 1: that everyone inside the house got their own special night sleep.

00:15:21

Speaker 1: Orion began to teach his son inside this house is

00:15:28

Speaker 1: a family with a mother, a father, and two children,

00:15:34

Speaker 1: just like us. What we need to do is sprinkle

00:15:39

Speaker 1: our dream dust over the rooftop and wait for it

00:15:44

Speaker 1: to seep in. Then we can create their dreams for them.

00:15:53

Speaker 1: I'll make the dreams for the parents and little girl

00:15:57

Speaker 1: if you make the dream for the little boy. Is

00:16:00

Speaker 1: that all right? Cosmo nodded proudly and asked, in a

00:16:07

Speaker 1: hushed voice, what do I make him dream about? Father?

00:16:15

Speaker 1: Orion's eyes lit up, and he placed his hand on

00:16:20

Speaker 1: his young son's shoulder and replied, you can make him

00:16:27

Speaker 1: dream about absolutely anything you want. Orion took Cosmo's hand

00:16:37

Speaker 1: and in perfect synchronization, they sprinkled their dream dust on

00:16:43

Speaker 1: the red slates of the roof. Cosmo was mesmerized as

00:16:50

Speaker 1: he watched the golden dust trickle through the roof tiles

00:16:56

Speaker 1: and down into the house. The magically, four beams of

00:17:04

Speaker 1: golden light shone up through the roof. Orion explained to

00:17:11

Speaker 1: Cosmo how each beam of light was a portal into

00:17:17

Speaker 1: the minds of the sleepers. These portals were how they

00:17:23

Speaker 1: sent them their sweet dreams. Orian stood over one of

00:17:31

Speaker 1: the dream portals and began to wave his arms around

00:17:36

Speaker 1: above it. Small magical sparks shot up and out into

00:17:44

Speaker 1: the air. As Orion explained to Cosmo what he was doing.

00:17:53

Speaker 1: I'm creating a dream for the mother. Right now. She's

00:17:58

Speaker 1: going to be lying on a white, sandy beach next

00:18:03

Speaker 1: to the sea. I want her dream to be as

00:18:08

Speaker 1: relaxing as possible. It wasn't his most inspired dream creation,

00:18:18

Speaker 1: but Oriyan hoped it would be enough to help the

00:18:21

Speaker 1: woman inside sleep peacefully and wake up refreshed. Then he

00:18:31

Speaker 1: moved onto the father's dream. He designed a scene within

00:18:36

Speaker 1: the portal of rolling hills and lush green countryside. He

00:18:44

Speaker 1: placed grazing horses in amongst the grass, and carved out

00:18:50

Speaker 1: a country path for the man to walk along. Can

00:18:55

Speaker 1: I add something, father, Cosmo piped up on. Expectedly, his

00:19:02

Speaker 1: father stepped aside and allowed his young son to have

00:19:07

Speaker 1: a go Cosmo looked down into the scene and saw

00:19:13

Speaker 1: the man walking along the path. Cosmo waved his hands

00:19:19

Speaker 1: above the scene, and magically, a bicycle appeared by the

00:19:25

Speaker 1: side of the path. The man in the dream grabbed

00:19:29

Speaker 1: the bicycle with glee and started cycling along, taking in

00:19:36

Speaker 1: the breath, taking views as he went. It was a lovely,

00:19:41

Speaker 1: playful addition to the dream, and Orion appreciated it. Now

00:19:49

Speaker 1: it's your turn to have a go at a dream

00:19:52

Speaker 1: of your own, Orian declared encouragingly, leading Cosmo over to

00:20:00

Speaker 1: the third dream portal. Cosmo fout, butterflies rising in his stomach.

00:20:09

Speaker 1: If he could make this other little boy dream about anything,

00:20:16

Speaker 1: then where should he begin. He thought back to the

00:20:20

Speaker 1: game he and his sister had played earlier on that day.

00:20:26

Speaker 1: They had imagined they were explorers diving deep into the

00:20:33

Speaker 1: heart of a magical jungle. In this jungle, they could

00:20:39

Speaker 1: speak to every animal they saw. What a good idea

00:20:46

Speaker 1: for a fun dream, Cosmo thought. He looked down into

00:20:53

Speaker 1: the glowing golden portal to the young boy's mind, took

00:21:00

Speaker 1: a deep breath, and began to wave his hands above

00:21:06

Speaker 1: the portal as he created. Inside the portal, he could

00:21:13

Speaker 1: see the jungle scene appearing before his very eyes. Tall

00:21:21

Speaker 1: leafy trees began to grow up out of the ground,

00:21:27

Speaker 1: and large bushes and beautiful flowers began to sprout. He

00:21:34

Speaker 1: could see the little boy whose dream it was, watching

00:21:40

Speaker 1: the miraculous scene grow around him, and he began to laugh.

00:21:47

Speaker 1: Exotic animals such as elephants, zebra, monkeys, sloths, and a

00:21:55

Speaker 1: friendly tiger began to march around the forest floor or

00:22:01

Speaker 1: swing from the tree branches. Parrots flitted between the plants,

00:22:09

Speaker 1: calling out to the human boy, and he started talking

00:22:15

Speaker 1: back to them. The boy in the dream appeared to

00:22:20

Speaker 1: be having a wonderful time. Orian watched over Cosmo proudly.

00:22:30

Speaker 1: He was a natural. Once all of the family's dream

00:22:37

Speaker 1: scenes were created, they moved onto the next house swiftly.

00:22:44

Speaker 1: They had a lot of people to deliver dreams to tonight.

00:22:49

Speaker 1: The next house they arrived at was much smaller than

00:22:53

Speaker 1: the last. It was a cozy, little bungalow where two

00:22:59

Speaker 1: grandpairents lived with their dog. Orian paused for a moment

00:23:06

Speaker 1: and wondered was this a beneficial house for his son

00:23:13

Speaker 1: to create a dreamer? How could Cosmo possibly know what

00:23:19

Speaker 1: two elderly adults would want to dream about. Orian hardly

00:23:26

Speaker 1: knew himself, so this would be a tough one for

00:23:30

Speaker 1: his young son. They followed the same procedure and sprinkled

00:23:37

Speaker 1: their dream dust across the rooftop. Three dream portals opened up.

00:23:46

Speaker 1: Cosmo and Orian both peered into the portal for the grandfather.

00:23:54

Speaker 1: Harian looked to Cosmo and asked, what do you think

00:24:00

Speaker 1: I think this man would like to dream about tonight.

00:24:06

Speaker 1: Cosmo scrunched up his little face in thought. Well, he

00:24:13

Speaker 1: thought out loud, I think that he will like some

00:24:20

Speaker 1: fun in his dream tonight. It must get very boring

00:24:25

Speaker 1: when you grow up and can't run and play anymore.

00:24:31

Speaker 1: Orion was slightly taken back by his young son's shrewd observation.

00:24:39

Speaker 1: He indeed could imagine it must be frustrating to lose

00:24:44

Speaker 1: the mobility and energy you had when you were younger.

00:24:50

Speaker 1: It sounded like a splendid idea. Orian glanced over his

00:24:57

Speaker 1: son's shoulder as he waved his hands above the portal

00:25:03

Speaker 1: and manipulated the elderly man's dream. The man was no

00:25:09

Speaker 1: longer elderly, with aching muscles and tired bones inside his dream. Instead,

00:25:19

Speaker 1: he looked as young as Cosmo he had been transported

00:25:25

Speaker 1: back into his six year old body, full of endless

00:25:30

Speaker 1: energy and without an ache or pain in sight. The

00:25:36

Speaker 1: man was delighted with his young body and began to

00:25:41

Speaker 1: jump and run and dance around in his dream world.

00:25:47

Speaker 1: The man looked very happy and grateful for being young again,

00:25:52

Speaker 1: and he started running towards a football pitch just as

00:25:57

Speaker 1: the dream portal began to close off. Orian thought, perhaps

00:26:06

Speaker 1: adults don't just want to be adults and do adult

00:26:11

Speaker 1: things in their dreams. Maybe they sometimes want to remember

00:26:18

Speaker 1: what it was like to be young and care free.

00:26:23

Speaker 1: Perhaps they wanted to relive their youth from time to time.

00:26:30

Speaker 1: Orian took inspiration from Cosmo's idea and gave the man's

00:26:37

Speaker 1: elderly wife a similar dream to enjoy for the night,

00:26:43

Speaker 1: but this time she was a teenager again, getting dressed

00:26:49

Speaker 1: to attend a dance with her friends. She wore a

00:26:54

Speaker 1: pretty yellow dress and twirled around in front of the mirror,

00:27:01

Speaker 1: admiring herself, just as the dream portal closed off. Before

00:27:09

Speaker 1: they left, they had one final dream to give for

00:27:15

Speaker 1: the loyal dog. Cosmo designed the perfect dream for the

00:27:21

Speaker 1: playful companion. He created a big field full of tennis balls.

00:27:29

Speaker 1: Squeaky toys and the occasional squirrel for it to chase.

00:27:35

Speaker 1: The adorable fury friend didn't know where to begin. There

00:27:41

Speaker 1: was so much in the dream to enjoy. To finish

00:27:47

Speaker 1: off the dream scenario, Orion added his own little touch.

00:27:54

Speaker 1: He planted a bush in the middle of the field

00:27:59

Speaker 1: with dozens of doggie treats dangling from its branches. If

00:28:05

Speaker 1: he did say so himself, this might be the dog's

00:28:10

Speaker 1: best dream ever. Orion and Cosmo spent the night flying

00:28:19

Speaker 1: from house to house testing out new ideas. They transported

00:28:27

Speaker 1: dreamers to medieval castles, pirate ships, under the sea, to

00:28:35

Speaker 1: far off countries, and even back in time. They let

00:28:42

Speaker 1: people do fun activities such as skiing down snowy mountains,

00:28:49

Speaker 1: surfing tidal waves, and driving race cars. They even got

00:28:57

Speaker 1: people mingling with their favorite celebrities, meeting rarity, and reuniting

00:29:05

Speaker 1: with long lost friends. There were no limits to what

00:29:11

Speaker 1: they could give to others in their dream worlds. Orian

00:29:18

Speaker 1: couldn't wait for Cosmo to one day be old enough

00:29:23

Speaker 1: to join him every night with his dream giving responsibilities.

00:29:30

Speaker 1: They were a great team. As the hours ticked by,

00:29:37

Speaker 1: the night drew towards its end, and daylight would soon

00:29:43

Speaker 1: be here. After just one night of working with his son,

00:29:51

Speaker 1: Harian was already feeling so much more inspired. There was

00:29:58

Speaker 1: one house left on their list for tonight. It was

00:30:04

Speaker 1: a tiny apartment in the middle of a block of flats.

00:30:10

Speaker 1: It was trickier to get to than the other houses,

00:30:14

Speaker 1: so Orion and Cosmo flew up to one of the windows.

00:30:20

Speaker 1: They peeped inside and could see the dark outlines of

00:30:25

Speaker 1: a sofa, a television set, and a kitchen area. Get

00:30:33

Speaker 1: your dream dust, Cosmo, Orion whispered. Cosmo pulled the string

00:30:41

Speaker 1: of his bag, but as he did, the string snapped

00:30:47

Speaker 1: and the bag of dream dust came loose, falling all

00:30:52

Speaker 1: the way to the ground below. Gold dream dust scattered

00:31:00

Speaker 1: everywhere across the pavement, and Cosmo looked to his father apologetically.

00:31:10

Speaker 1: I'm sorry, father, it was an accident. How will I

00:31:15

Speaker 1: give these people a dream now? Cosmo bowed his head disappointedly,

00:31:25

Speaker 1: but Orian cupped his little chin with his fingers and

00:31:31

Speaker 1: lifted his head up to lock eyes with him. Don't worry,

00:31:38

Speaker 1: Orion comforted him. I've got plenty of dream dust to spare.

00:31:45

Speaker 1: You can use some of mine. Cosmo's frowned turned upside down. Immediately,

00:31:54

Speaker 1: he picked out a sprinkling of gold dust from his

00:31:58

Speaker 1: father's pouch, and together they blew the dream dust onto

00:32:05

Speaker 1: the window pane. Within seconds, two beams of light radiated

00:32:14

Speaker 1: out of the flat and into the sky. They were

00:32:19

Speaker 1: dream portals for a father and his teenage son. It

00:32:27

Speaker 1: was clear that the father was an artist as he

00:32:31

Speaker 1: sat on a stool in his dream, staring at a

00:32:35

Speaker 1: blank canvas on a painting easel. The man looked dejected

00:32:42

Speaker 1: and disheartened. He didn't seem to have any inspiration to paint.

00:32:50

Speaker 1: Orian understood this man's plight. He too had been struggling

00:32:58

Speaker 1: for artistic inspiration for quite a while. Luckily, he had

00:33:05

Speaker 1: found his inspiration again, all thanks to his son. That's

00:33:13

Speaker 1: when he had an idea. Orion waved his hands in

00:33:18

Speaker 1: front of the dream portal and began to amend the

00:33:24

Speaker 1: man's dreary dream. He filled up the pot on the

00:33:30

Speaker 1: side of the easel with a handful of new paint brushes,

00:33:36

Speaker 1: and he freshened up the pots of paint by the

00:33:39

Speaker 1: man's side. He altered the lonely plain room that the

00:33:46

Speaker 1: man was satin to become the side of a bustling

00:33:51

Speaker 1: city square. There were musicians performing, a mime artist putting

00:33:59

Speaker 1: on a show, and many people walking, talking, sitting, and

00:34:06

Speaker 1: admiring the scene around them. The square was full of life. Then,

00:34:18

Speaker 1: as a finishing touch, Orion brought the man's teenage son

00:34:23

Speaker 1: into the dream. His son placed his hand on his

00:34:29

Speaker 1: father's shoulder to get his attention and pointed at the

00:34:34

Speaker 1: people around them. The man's face lit up and he

00:34:41

Speaker 1: began to chat with his son animatedly. Together they started

00:34:48

Speaker 1: to plan what he would paint, and before he knew it,

00:34:53

Speaker 1: he had picked up a paint brush and was starting

00:34:57

Speaker 1: to paint once more. Orion smiled fondly as the dream

00:35:05

Speaker 1: portal closed. If there was one dream he was proud

00:35:12

Speaker 1: to have provided this evening, it was that one he

00:35:18

Speaker 1: loved being able to give back to someone else struggling

00:35:24

Speaker 1: after he too had been through a rough patch. Cosmo

00:35:30

Speaker 1: turned to look at his father, having just finished up

00:35:35

Speaker 1: his own dream creation for the teenage son, and stretched

00:35:41

Speaker 1: out his arms and legs as he yawned. It had

00:35:48

Speaker 1: been a long night and Cosmo was in need of

00:35:52

Speaker 1: a very well deserved rest. Orion took Cosmo's hand and

00:36:03

Speaker 1: they flew up into the sky and headed towards the horizon,

00:36:08

Speaker 1: where they would see the morning sun beginning to rear

00:36:13

Speaker 1: its head for the day far ahead, they could just

00:36:19

Speaker 1: make out the faint outline of their home in the clouds.

00:36:27

Speaker 1: Can I come with you again tomorrow night, father, Cosmo pleaded,

00:36:34

Speaker 1: as his little wings softly flapped up and down, pushing

00:36:40

Speaker 1: him through the air. Orian chuckled softly, We'll see my son,

00:36:51

Speaker 1: but right now you need a good day's sleep sun.

00:37:00

Speaker 1: As they reached their home, Harian scooped up a little

00:37:06

Speaker 1: Cosmo and carried him to his bed. He tucked him

00:37:12

Speaker 1: in underneath the douvet and thanked him for his help.

00:37:19

Speaker 1: Before Cosmo could even reply, his eyes had shut tight

00:37:27

Speaker 1: and his breathing had fallen into a steady rhythm. As

00:37:33

Speaker 1: he fell dee asleep, Orian stroked his son's forehead affectionately

00:37:43

Speaker 1: and kissed him on his brow. Then he grabbed his

00:37:50

Speaker 1: bag of dream dust, reached his hand inside, and sprinkled

00:37:57

Speaker 1: some onto his son's eyes. If there was anyone who

00:38:04

Speaker 1: deserved a pleasant sleep, it was definitely Cosmo, and Orion

00:38:13

Speaker 1: set to work designing the most wonderful dream he ever

00:38:20

Speaker 1: had
