00:01:29

Speaker 1: take a lovely big breath to say out there you

00:01:36

Speaker 1: go nice now, relax and see if you can remember

00:01:40

Speaker 1: our dapper French friend cam and Beer from France. Boy

00:01:45

Speaker 1: does he love his cheese and he's always on a

00:01:48

Speaker 1: mission to find more and learn about them. There are

00:01:51

Speaker 1: so many to discover after all. Tonight he's making a

00:01:56

Speaker 1: special trip to England, in fact, not too far away

00:01:59

Speaker 1: from where I'm standing right now, and he's coming to

00:02:03

Speaker 1: take part in a most peculiar but brilliantly fun race.

00:02:08

Speaker 1: This is cam Umbert and the Great Cheese Race by

00:02:14

Speaker 1: Alicia Ainslie. If you've ever been to France before, then

00:02:24

Speaker 1: you will know that they have lots of lovely shops

00:02:27

Speaker 1: selling delicious things. On almost every corner. You can find

00:02:32

Speaker 1: boulangerie and patisseries that sell delicious baked goods, poissonnerie that

00:02:39

Speaker 1: sell fish, and of course fromagerie where you can buy cheese.

00:02:44

Speaker 1: One of the most popular fromagerie in France belongs to

00:02:48

Speaker 1: a bear named cam Umbert. Carm Umbert's for Marjorie was

00:02:54

Speaker 1: well known by the locals and not so locals for

00:02:57

Speaker 1: being a truly topknot shop where you were guaranteed to

00:03:01

Speaker 1: find a huge choice of cheese on offer, all served

00:03:05

Speaker 1: with a smile by the passionate owner. Cam and Beert's

00:03:10

Speaker 1: mission was to offer as many different cheeses from around

00:03:14

Speaker 1: the world as possible. Cam and Bet had caught the

00:03:19

Speaker 1: travel berg after his recent trips to Italy and the

00:03:22

Speaker 1: mountains of France, where he discovered a variety of delicious,

00:03:27

Speaker 1: unique cheeses that he'd never heard of before. Now he

00:03:32

Speaker 1: was constantly looking for new places to visit, the new

00:03:35

Speaker 1: cheesy delicacies to try. He wanted the menu in his

00:03:40

Speaker 1: from Arjerie to be the most elaborate, most exciting menu around.

00:03:46

Speaker 1: He wanted everyone to know about Cam and Bears from

00:03:51

Speaker 1: Ajerie and its global cheeses, So Cam and Beert was

00:03:58

Speaker 1: always on the lookout for new places to visit. Recently,

00:04:02

Speaker 1: he had heard about something that sounded right up his street.

00:04:07

Speaker 1: Camp and Bear had recently overheard a pair of visitors

00:04:11

Speaker 1: to his fromagerie discussing a great cheese race. One of

00:04:15

Speaker 1: them mentioned how they had visited Gloucestershire in England the

00:04:20

Speaker 1: year before and watched something rather amusing in an English town.

00:04:27

Speaker 1: Animals and people alike had chased a giant wheel of

00:04:31

Speaker 1: cheese down a large hill, and the first to catch

00:04:35

Speaker 1: the cheese won the whole thing, and apparently it was

00:04:40

Speaker 1: rather spectacular tasting cheese too. Camembert's interest was piqued immediately

00:04:47

Speaker 1: and he started to do some research of his own.

00:04:51

Speaker 1: The customer was right. The cheese race was held every

00:04:56

Speaker 1: year in Gloucestershire, England, at Cooper's Hill. The area is

00:05:01

Speaker 1: world famous for its double Gloucester cheese, and that was

00:05:05

Speaker 1: exactly what everyone chased down the hill. The contest attracted

00:05:11

Speaker 1: lots of onlookers and participants alike. As soon as Camembert

00:05:16

Speaker 1: read about it, he wanted to be one of them.

00:05:20

Speaker 1: He wanted to take part in this great cheese race. Luckily,

00:05:27

Speaker 1: for Camembert, he knew exactly who he could ask to

00:05:31

Speaker 1: stay with during his visit. Over the years, Camembert had

00:05:36

Speaker 1: adopted several pen pals whom he regularly wrote to but

00:05:40

Speaker 1: had never met. He had pen pals in India and Greece,

00:05:45

Speaker 1: Canada and Japan. But the pen pal he knew he

00:05:50

Speaker 1: could call upon on this occasion was a British stoat

00:05:54

Speaker 1: named Brie, who he had been conversing with for the

00:05:57

Speaker 1: past three years. Miraculouslie. Brie lived in a little village

00:06:02

Speaker 1: close to Cooper's Hill called Snow's Hill. She was a

00:06:07

Speaker 1: mother to four tiny stoats and had a husband named Barry.

00:06:12

Speaker 1: Brie worked in a cafe in the village, and she

00:06:15

Speaker 1: and Came and Beer had struck up a friendship over

00:06:18

Speaker 1: their shared love of food. Brie had said several times

00:06:23

Speaker 1: over the years that whenever came and Beer wanted to

00:06:26

Speaker 1: visit England, he was always welcome to stay with her.

00:06:31

Speaker 1: So this would be the perfect opportunity to finally meet

00:06:35

Speaker 1: his British pen power. Came and Beer rifled through his

00:06:40

Speaker 1: drawers and found the letters he had received from Brie

00:06:43

Speaker 1: over the years. Once she had written down her telephone number,

00:06:47

Speaker 1: and that was exactly what he needed right now. He

00:06:51

Speaker 1: found the number, picked up his phone and dialed the digits.

00:06:56

Speaker 1: The lion rang a few times, but there was no answer.

00:07:01

Speaker 1: Camembert was just about to hang up when he heard

00:07:04

Speaker 1: the click of a receiver and a quintessentially British voice

00:07:09

Speaker 1: sweetly spoke down the phone. Hello, the Stoked residence, the

00:07:15

Speaker 1: voice said. Cammbert's heart skipped to beat with excitement. Roy

00:07:23

Speaker 1: is that you, Cam asked down the phone in his

00:07:27

Speaker 1: deep French accent. There was a delighted gasp from the

00:07:32

Speaker 1: sweet voice on the other end of the line, and

00:07:35

Speaker 1: they replied, Yes, it is Cam, Is that you, my

00:07:41

Speaker 1: dear Camembert chuckled and confirmed that yes, it was him.

00:07:48

Speaker 1: Cam and Bury laughed and chatted for almost an hour,

00:07:53

Speaker 1: absolutely thrilled that they were finally hearing each other's voices.

00:08:00

Speaker 1: Explained to Brie that he would love to take a

00:08:03

Speaker 1: trip to England to attend the Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling Race,

00:08:07

Speaker 1: and before he could even ask, Brie immediately offered him

00:08:11

Speaker 1: a place to stay. She would be honored to host

00:08:15

Speaker 1: her precious pen pals in her home. The plan was set,

00:08:20

Speaker 1: and Camembert and Brie agreed that he would visit for

00:08:24

Speaker 1: the May Bank holiday weekend. Together they would attend the

00:08:28

Speaker 1: Great Cheese Race, and in their spare time, Brie would

00:08:32

Speaker 1: show him a true British welcome and give him a

00:08:35

Speaker 1: tour of her local area. When the day finally came

00:08:41

Speaker 1: for Camembert to visit England, Brie collected him from the

00:08:45

Speaker 1: airport in her adorable little blue car and drove him

00:08:49

Speaker 1: out of the bustling city and into the idyllic, peaceful,

00:08:53

Speaker 1: winding roads of the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds were known for

00:08:58

Speaker 1: being an area about standing natural beauty, and cam could

00:09:02

Speaker 1: see why. Everywhere he looked there were rolling hills of

00:09:07

Speaker 1: green for miles and miles, and charming little towns dotted

00:09:13

Speaker 1: in the midst of it. All stone walls snaked across

00:09:18

Speaker 1: the hills, separating sections of land and lining the Roadsides

00:09:23

Speaker 1: and wooden gates provided passage through the fields for walkers.

00:09:28

Speaker 1: Smatterings of woodland broke up the landscape, and rivers wound

00:09:33

Speaker 1: their way through the towns and into the dips in

00:09:37

Speaker 1: the hills. After some time, Brie drove her car into

00:09:43

Speaker 1: her village of Snow's Hill and Cammberer was blown away.

00:09:48

Speaker 1: It was like taking a step back in time. The

00:09:52

Speaker 1: village was only very small, but it was still breath taking.

00:09:59

Speaker 1: All of the houses were made of yellow stone, and

00:10:03

Speaker 1: their walls appeared to be just a little crooked, giving

00:10:07

Speaker 1: away how old the buildings were. A church stood proudly

00:10:12

Speaker 1: in the center of the village, and the houses and

00:10:15

Speaker 1: cottages were all lined up around it in a big circle,

00:10:21

Speaker 1: backed by tall green trees. Brie waved to a few

00:10:27

Speaker 1: friendly villages as she drove by, and they all took

00:10:31

Speaker 1: a double take at her car when they realized that

00:10:34

Speaker 1: there was a massive brown bear crammed into the passenger

00:10:37

Speaker 1: seat alongside her. Bree giggled, noticing her fellow village's confusion

00:10:44

Speaker 1: as they drove past, and said, to Cam and Bear,

00:10:49

Speaker 1: what must we look like? Brie pulled up the tiny

00:10:54

Speaker 1: blue car outside a sweet yellow crooked cottage with a

00:10:59

Speaker 1: gray thatched and a sky blue front door. Green vines

00:11:04

Speaker 1: swept up the front of the house and pink flowers

00:11:08

Speaker 1: bloomed daintily within the leaves. It looked like a cottage

00:11:14

Speaker 1: straight out of a story book. Welcome to my home,

00:11:20

Speaker 1: Bri announced, cheerfully, gesturing to the pretty cottage as she

00:11:24

Speaker 1: stepped out of the car. It is maun you fik

00:11:31

Speaker 1: Ammonbert replied, complimenting her house. As if on cue. The

00:11:36

Speaker 1: front door to the cottage swung open and out poured

00:11:40

Speaker 1: four little stoats, giddly running towards Camonbert. The tiny stoats

00:11:46

Speaker 1: climbed up his big furry legs and crawled all over

00:11:50

Speaker 1: his body, scratching his fuzzy bear head with intrigue. Is

00:11:55

Speaker 1: this your friend? Ful frats, Mamma, one of the little

00:11:59

Speaker 1: stoats asked in a squeaky voice, he's a very big stoat.

00:12:05

Speaker 1: Another young stoak commented. Camembert chuckled and replied, that is

00:12:13

Speaker 1: because I am not a stout, I am a bear.

00:12:20

Speaker 1: The little stoats all scuttled back down onto the ground

00:12:24

Speaker 1: and stood in front of Camembert in a straight line,

00:12:27

Speaker 1: gazing up at him in awe wow. One of them sighed,

00:12:34

Speaker 1: we've never met a bear before. Ree trotted towards the

00:12:40

Speaker 1: front door of the cottage and said, well now you

00:12:44

Speaker 1: have now give mister Cammbert some room. That was not

00:12:50

Speaker 1: a very proper British welcome. The little stoats apologized for

00:12:56

Speaker 1: climbing all over Camembert and politely off out their tiny

00:13:01

Speaker 1: hands to shake his massive paws. Cam learned that Bree's

00:13:06

Speaker 1: children were called Wensley, Blue, Philly and Quark. The family

00:13:13

Speaker 1: of Stoats led Camembert inside the cottage and instantly set

00:13:18

Speaker 1: to work making him feel right at home. He had

00:13:22

Speaker 1: his own cozy little bedroom at the back of the

00:13:25

Speaker 1: house with feathered pillows and a big, warm douvet on

00:13:29

Speaker 1: the bed. Camembert couldn't wait to climb into it. Later,

00:13:34

Speaker 1: out of the window he had a wonderful view of

00:13:37

Speaker 1: the garden filled with white roses and a dinky pond

00:13:41

Speaker 1: in the middle. Once he had unpacked, cam and Beer

00:13:47

Speaker 1: returned downstairs and sat at the dining table. Breeze served

00:13:52

Speaker 1: up a big teapot full of tea for Camembert to enjoy,

00:13:56

Speaker 1: with a selection of delicious cakes and scones that she

00:13:59

Speaker 1: had made herself. There were cold cherry SCons and warm

00:14:05

Speaker 1: cheddar SCons, which Camembert particularly enjoyed, along with so many

00:14:11

Speaker 1: different cakes that he could hardly keep track. There was

00:14:16

Speaker 1: a Victoria sponge, a fruit cake, a pink and yellow

00:14:21

Speaker 1: checkerboard loaf called battenberg cake, and a nutty bakewell tart.

00:14:28

Speaker 1: He couldn't remember the other names, but they were all

00:14:31

Speaker 1: equally as scrumptious as each other. Bree boasted that baking

00:14:37

Speaker 1: cakes was practically a competitive sport here in England, and

00:14:41

Speaker 1: they took it very seriously. By the time Camembert had

00:14:47

Speaker 1: gratefully eaten up everything that bree had prepared for his

00:14:50

Speaker 1: special afternoon tea, he was stuffed and needed a long nap.

00:14:57

Speaker 1: He retreated to his cozy little bedroom at the back

00:15:00

Speaker 1: of the cottage and laid down on the bed, satisfied

00:15:05

Speaker 1: with his full tummy and looking forward to the cheese

00:15:08

Speaker 1: rolling race he would get to witness the very next day.

00:15:14

Speaker 1: At dinner time came and Beert joined the Stoat family

00:15:18

Speaker 1: as they sat down together for dinner. Bree's husband, Barry,

00:15:24

Speaker 1: was back from work at the post office, and he

00:15:27

Speaker 1: was eager to share the ins and outs of his

00:15:30

Speaker 1: day with Camembert, who listened graciously as Bree placed their

00:15:36

Speaker 1: plates of dinner on the table, a meal of bangers

00:15:40

Speaker 1: and mash. Barry asked Camembert about himself, what brings you

00:15:47

Speaker 1: to Snow's Hill? Then cam Barry asked, pouring thick gravy

00:15:52

Speaker 1: all over his mashed potatoes. Came and Bert explained that

00:15:56

Speaker 1: he had traveled all the way over from France to

00:15:59

Speaker 1: take part in the Cooper's Hill cheese rolling race. Wensley,

00:16:04

Speaker 1: the oldest child, giggled and said, what a funny type

00:16:09

Speaker 1: of race, but Barry seemed to take it very seriously

00:16:13

Speaker 1: and added, it is a bit of a wacky concept,

00:16:17

Speaker 1: but it is a tradition that's been going on for

00:16:21

Speaker 1: hundreds of years. We'll be wishing you the best of

00:16:25

Speaker 1: luck to morraca'm old chap. Camembert smiled and thanked Barry

00:16:30

Speaker 1: for his well wishes. He was looking forward to it,

00:16:34

Speaker 1: although at that moment he didn't realize just how wacky

00:16:38

Speaker 1: the race would be. On the day of the Great

00:16:42

Speaker 1: Cheese Race, Brie drove Camembert over to Cooper's Hill, where

00:16:46

Speaker 1: the race was hosted. Brie drove them both in her

00:16:50

Speaker 1: little car again, and Camembert had to stoop very low

00:16:55

Speaker 1: to squeeze his big furry body inside. No matter how

00:17:01

Speaker 1: small he tried to curl himself up. His fluffy, bare

00:17:05

Speaker 1: ears still poked out of the open window in the roof,

00:17:09

Speaker 1: and he held his knees close to his chest. They

00:17:14

Speaker 1: drove around the winding roads of the Cotswolds and eventually

00:17:18

Speaker 1: parked up at the bottom of a steep, grassy hill.

00:17:23

Speaker 1: Cam and Bear stepped out of the car and stretched

00:17:27

Speaker 1: out his body with relief as he took in the

00:17:30

Speaker 1: sight of Cooper's Hill. It was much taller than he

00:17:34

Speaker 1: had imagined it would be. Other animals and people were

00:17:38

Speaker 1: already making their way up the big hill towards the

00:17:42

Speaker 1: start line, whilst an audience gathered at the bottom in

00:17:46

Speaker 1: a big crowd and TV reporters set up their cameras

00:17:51

Speaker 1: to capture the occasion. Brie explained that the Cooper's Hill

00:17:57

Speaker 1: Cheese rolling race was a very popular event and competitors

00:18:02

Speaker 1: came from all over the world to take part. Cam

00:18:07

Speaker 1: and Bear was pleased to see so many cheese lovers

00:18:10

Speaker 1: in attendance. He felt right at home. Although Camembert was

00:18:16

Speaker 1: still yet to try this famous double gloster cheese, it

00:18:21

Speaker 1: would be fantastic if the first piece he tried was

00:18:25

Speaker 1: from the prize winner's wheel of fromage. Cam and Bear

00:18:31

Speaker 1: started to walk up the hill, but noticed that Brie

00:18:35

Speaker 1: was not following him. He turned back and asked, Brie,

00:18:42

Speaker 1: mon Ami, are you not coming. Brie admitted that she

00:18:47

Speaker 1: would prefer to watch the race, not take part in it.

00:18:51

Speaker 1: She wished came and Bert good luck and promised that

00:18:55

Speaker 1: she would cheer him on from the finishing line. Came

00:18:59

Speaker 1: and Beert said goodbye to his friend and gazed ahead

00:19:02

Speaker 1: to the top of the hill. It looked like he

00:19:06

Speaker 1: would have to do this alone. At the top of

00:19:11

Speaker 1: Cooper's Hill, there was a varied assortment of animals ready

00:19:15

Speaker 1: to compete in the race. There was a troop of

00:19:18

Speaker 1: English rabbits wearing large running shoes and crash helmets who

00:19:23

Speaker 1: looked like they were taking it very seriously, along with

00:19:27

Speaker 1: a Scottish owl in a sweatband and a sports shirt

00:19:31

Speaker 1: who was stretching its wings in preparation. There were animals

00:19:36

Speaker 1: from much further afield who had traveled far to join

00:19:40

Speaker 1: the race too. A panda from China sat on the ground,

00:19:45

Speaker 1: touching their toes calmly, and a monkey from Gibraltar jogged

00:19:49

Speaker 1: on the spot to warm up. Cam was starting to

00:19:54

Speaker 1: think that he had underestimated just how competitive this race

00:19:58

Speaker 1: was going to be. It seemed that everybody was desperate

00:20:04

Speaker 1: to catch the wheel of double gloster cheese. Cam and

00:20:08

Speaker 1: Bert decided to take a look at the race route

00:20:12

Speaker 1: and peered over the edge of the hill. It was

00:20:16

Speaker 1: very steep and a long way down to the bottom

00:20:20

Speaker 1: where the finish line was. Cam and Beer would need

00:20:24

Speaker 1: to be careful as he ran down the hillside. It

00:20:27

Speaker 1: was a long way to go. All of a sudden,

00:20:32

Speaker 1: the master of ceremonies stepped forward, carrying the prized wheel

00:20:36

Speaker 1: of cheese that they would all be chasing. It was

00:20:40

Speaker 1: about the size of a small bicycle wheel, and it

00:20:44

Speaker 1: looked rather heavy. It was decorated with a red ribbon,

00:20:51

Speaker 1: and the Master of Ceremonies held it as though it

00:20:54

Speaker 1: was a precious duel that mustn't be dropped. The Master

00:20:59

Speaker 1: of Ceremonies stood at the top of the hill and

00:21:02

Speaker 1: announced to everyone that she would count from one to four.

00:21:08

Speaker 1: On three, she would release the cheese, giving it a

00:21:12

Speaker 1: one second headstart, and on four the competitors would be

00:21:18

Speaker 1: free to chase after it. Whoever caught the wheel of

00:21:21

Speaker 1: cheese at the bottom of the hill would be the winner.

00:21:27

Speaker 1: Camembert felt the crowd of competitors around him close in

00:21:32

Speaker 1: to get closer to the cheese. There were a lot

00:21:36

Speaker 1: of competitors cam and Beer counted almost forty of them.

00:21:43

Speaker 1: If he wanted to win the grand prize of cheese,

00:21:47

Speaker 1: he couldn't let his eyes off the wheel for a second.

00:21:52

Speaker 1: If he lost it, then he would struggle to find

00:21:55

Speaker 1: it again amongst the crowd of animals. Camembert locked his

00:22:00

Speaker 1: eyes on the wheel of cheese and braced himself to run.

00:22:07

Speaker 1: The Master of Ceremonies began the count one, two, three,

00:22:16

Speaker 1: She dropped the wheel of cheese and it began to

00:22:18

Speaker 1: roll down the hill quick as a whippet faur. She cried,

00:22:23

Speaker 1: and the competitors dashed down the hill excitedly. The crowd

00:22:28

Speaker 1: at the bottom cheered and applauded everyone as they raced

00:22:32

Speaker 1: after the wheel of cheese, and Camembert felt as though

00:22:36

Speaker 1: he was in a dream. It was all so surreal.

00:22:41

Speaker 1: He kept his eyes on the wheel of cheese hurtling

00:22:45

Speaker 1: down the hill. He bent down on to all four

00:22:49

Speaker 1: of his bare paws and began to charge down the grass.

00:22:54

Speaker 1: His four strong legs helped him powerfully race down Cooper's Hill,

00:23:00

Speaker 1: keeping his balance all the way. He zigzagged in and

00:23:05

Speaker 1: out of the other competitors, sprinting as fast as he

00:23:10

Speaker 1: possibly could towards the cheese. All around Camembert, the other

00:23:17

Speaker 1: competitors attempted to get down the hill as fast as

00:23:20

Speaker 1: they possibly could. The troop of rabbits hopped along, trying

00:23:26

Speaker 1: not to trip over their long feet, and the panda

00:23:30

Speaker 1: rolled all the way down the hill like a giant, fluffy,

00:23:34

Speaker 1: black and white snowball without the use of its wings.

00:23:39

Speaker 1: The owl struggled to keep up with everyone else and

00:23:42

Speaker 1: fell behind. Meanwhile, the monkey from Gibraltar tumbled and bounced

00:23:48

Speaker 1: down the hill, losing sight of the cheese wheel straight away.

00:23:54

Speaker 1: All of the different animals running the race moved as

00:23:58

Speaker 1: quickly as they could in their own individual ways, but

00:24:02

Speaker 1: nobody was as fast and sturdy on their feet as

00:24:08

Speaker 1: cam Um Bear. Cam and Bear honed in on his

00:24:13

Speaker 1: cheesy target and went for it. His paws dug into

00:24:19

Speaker 1: the mud and propelled him forward down the hill expertly,

00:24:24

Speaker 1: but the cheese was rolling very fast. It must have

00:24:28

Speaker 1: been going over seventy miles per hour. As the cheese

00:24:34

Speaker 1: approached the bottom of the hill, cam and Bear wondered

00:24:38

Speaker 1: if he or anyone would catch it in time. It

00:24:43

Speaker 1: rolled towards the audience at the base of the hill,

00:24:47

Speaker 1: and they all moved to the sides to allow it

00:24:50

Speaker 1: to roll past. Seeing that his opportunity to catch it

00:24:55

Speaker 1: was running out fast, Cam and Bear gave himself a

00:25:00

Speaker 1: final push. He leapt through the air, pause outstretched, and

00:25:08

Speaker 1: dived onto the rolling wheel of cheese. He closed his eyes,

00:25:14

Speaker 1: wrapped his arms around it, and rolled forward a few times.

00:25:20

Speaker 1: He gradually slowed down and came to a halt, and then,

00:25:26

Speaker 1: when his bottom was firmly sitting on the ground, he

00:25:31

Speaker 1: opened his eyes and sighed with relief he had caught

00:25:39

Speaker 1: the wheel of cheese. He was the winner. The audience

00:25:48

Speaker 1: erupted with cheer, and a voice announced over the microphone,

00:25:54

Speaker 1: we have a winner. Mister cam Bear of France has

00:26:02

Speaker 1: caught the wheel of double Gloucester cheese sweeches for our

00:26:09

Speaker 1: champion hip. Hip. Hooray, Hip, Hip, hooray Hip Hip, hooray.

00:26:21

Speaker 1: Camembert was a little bit dizzy from all the rolling,

00:26:26

Speaker 1: and it took him a few moments to realize just

00:26:29

Speaker 1: what he had achieved. But once he had come to,

00:26:33

Speaker 1: he was delighted. A TV reporter rushed over to Camembert

00:26:40

Speaker 1: and shoved a microphone in front of his face as

00:26:43

Speaker 1: a cameraman filmed his reaction. The reporter asked, in a

00:26:48

Speaker 1: clipped voice, Camumbert, how does it feel to be the

00:26:53

Speaker 1: winner of this year's Gloucestershire Cheese rolling race. Camembert smiled

00:26:59

Speaker 1: and that it felt wonderful. He was very proud of himself.

00:27:05

Speaker 1: The reporter probed inquisitively, and why did you come all

00:27:09

Speaker 1: this way to enter? Camembert shrugged his shoulders and smiled sleepily,

00:27:17

Speaker 1: gazing at the giant wheel of cheese in his hands.

00:27:22

Speaker 1: He replied quite simply because our adore cheese. His kind

00:27:32

Speaker 1: pen pal Brie trotted over to him to congratulate him

00:27:36

Speaker 1: on a fantastic job. What an achievement, cam Ree gushed,

00:27:44

Speaker 1: You will now go down in history as one of

00:27:48

Speaker 1: the winners of the Great cheese rolling Race. I can't

00:27:53

Speaker 1: wait to tell Barry and my little Stoakes all about

00:27:57

Speaker 1: this when we get home. Camembert sat down and placed

00:28:03

Speaker 1: his prized wheel of cheese on the ground without a

00:28:08

Speaker 1: word from his pocket. He pulled out a napkin and

00:28:13

Speaker 1: tied it around his neck to create a bib of sorts.

00:28:18

Speaker 1: Then he pulled out two forks and held one out

00:28:22

Speaker 1: to Brie. Who would you like to join me in

00:28:26

Speaker 1: enjoying my prize, Brie, he asked her softly. Bree giggled

00:28:33

Speaker 1: and responded that indeed she would. Brie sat down on

00:28:38

Speaker 1: the ground opposite Carman Beert and they tucked into the

00:28:42

Speaker 1: big wheel of cheese. They slipped off the decorative ribbon

00:28:48

Speaker 1: and pealed back the wooden casing to reveal the gooey

00:28:54

Speaker 1: goodness within. Carmanbert took the first bite of cheese and

00:29:01

Speaker 1: it melted on his tongue. It was well worth racing

00:29:07

Speaker 1: after Cam and Bet and Brie ate as much delicious

00:29:14

Speaker 1: double Glouster cheese as they could until they were so

00:29:18

Speaker 1: full that they felt sleepy. They laid back on the

00:29:23

Speaker 1: grass and closed their eyes, listening to the crowds, competitors

00:29:30

Speaker 1: and TV crews gradually depart, leaving Cooper's Hill silent once more.

00:29:40

Speaker 1: Cam and Bear breathed in the fresh spring air and sighed.

00:29:47

Speaker 1: His full furry belly heaved up and down as he

00:29:53

Speaker 1: breathed in and out. He was perfectly useful and drifted

00:30:02

Speaker 1: off into a cheesy dream, eager to share his success

00:30:09

Speaker 1: with his customers back home at his fromagerie and add

00:30:16

Speaker 1: this delectable double Gloucester cheese to his fromagerie's menu.
