Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Coco Sleep, your podcast of

00:00:14

Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime

00:00:19

Speaker 1: a dream. Before we begin, I'd like to say a

00:00:23

Speaker 1: big hello to our newest Coco clubbers, Hi, Hunter, Kylie, Liliana, Chris, KB,

00:00:30

Speaker 1: Lily and Laura Harper and Ruby, Meela, Fiona, Lilith, Lucy

00:00:38

Speaker 1: and Lincoln Brooks. Welcome to you all, and thank you

00:00:41

Speaker 1: for joining us. Now enjoy all the extra stories you've got,

00:00:45

Speaker 1: and at some point you can pop over to YouTube

00:00:47

Speaker 1: via the link in the show notes, where you'll be

00:00:50

Speaker 1: able to see me say hi and thanks to you.

00:00:53

Speaker 1: This is a truly great day to join too. You

00:00:56

Speaker 1: are right in time to hear the latest in the

00:00:59

Speaker 1: brilliant Jupiter Twins series. Last time we joined them, they

00:01:03

Speaker 1: were helping out a friendly griffin called Gwendolyn. Tonight's story

00:01:07

Speaker 1: is a little bit more relatable. We are meeting up

00:01:11

Speaker 1: with Lily and Jake on a shopping trip. It's the

00:01:14

Speaker 1: last week of the summer holidays and they're soon heading

00:01:17

Speaker 1: back to school. They can't wait, and they need to prepare.

00:01:23

Speaker 1: They need their stationery, their spell books, and a magical

00:01:27

Speaker 1: companion to accompany them back to the Leora Academy, so

00:01:31

Speaker 1: they decide to go to the cobbled twisting streets of York.

00:01:37

Speaker 1: Snuggle down now and relax as I begin Jupiter Twins

00:01:42

Speaker 1: Back to the Leora Academy by Luke Prendergast.

00:01:54

Speaker 2: Lily and Jake.

00:01:55

Speaker 1: The Jupiter Twins had been enjoying their summer holidays tremendously.

00:02:00

Speaker 1: Weeks had passed since they'd last been at the Leora

00:02:03

Speaker 1: Academy of Magic hidden beneath the city. Instead, they'd been

00:02:07

Speaker 1: at home with their parents, using the magic they'd learned

00:02:10

Speaker 1: the previous year at school to help out in all

00:02:13

Speaker 1: kinds of ways. With a simple spell, they had gathered

00:02:17

Speaker 1: up the clumps of grass that got left on the

00:02:19

Speaker 1: lawn behind the lawnmark with a wave of their arms.

00:02:23

Speaker 1: They'd folded clothes and washed dishes, and scrubbed the knives

00:02:27

Speaker 1: and forks until they shone brand new. Their parents were

00:02:31

Speaker 1: both delighted with their magical abilities.

00:02:34

Speaker 2: There was a real blessing.

00:02:35

Speaker 1: Having a couple of young magicians hanging around the house,

00:02:38

Speaker 1: they said. When they weren't helping their parents, the Jupiter

00:02:43

Speaker 1: Twins spent their time relaxing and playing games. Lily was

00:02:47

Speaker 1: glad to be back in her room with her jampacked bookshelf,

00:02:51

Speaker 1: rereading some of her favorite stories, and in the afternoons

00:02:55

Speaker 1: she and Jake would go out to climb trees with

00:02:58

Speaker 1: their friends. They were having a wonderful time on holiday,

00:03:03

Speaker 1: but sometimes when they were tucked up in bed, they

00:03:07

Speaker 1: would admit to each other that they were missing school too.

00:03:11

Speaker 1: They couldn't wait to get back there and start learning

00:03:13

Speaker 1: more magic. One morning, towards the end of the holidays,

00:03:18

Speaker 1: the twins were sat on their bedroom floor building a

00:03:21

Speaker 1: huge castle out of tiny building locks. They were very

00:03:25

Speaker 1: pleased with how it had turned out. It boasted several

00:03:29

Speaker 1: towers and a large courtyard, and a bright blue moat

00:03:33

Speaker 1: circling its stone walls.

00:03:36

Speaker 2: Jake was just.

00:03:37

Speaker 1: Affixing the final battlement to a turret when their bedroom

00:03:41

Speaker 1: door opened and their mum walked in. She stood in

00:03:44

Speaker 1: the middle of the room, as she often did, with

00:03:47

Speaker 1: one hand on her hip. In the other hand, she

00:03:50

Speaker 1: held a piece of paper. What an impressive castle, she said,

00:03:57

Speaker 1: looking down at their handiwork and smiling. Then a small

00:04:01

Speaker 1: frown appeared on her forehead. But I think it's missing something,

00:04:07

Speaker 1: she added. What asked Lily, inspecting the castle all over,

00:04:13

Speaker 1: she couldn't see that they'd missed anything. Their mum pointed

00:04:17

Speaker 1: a finger at the front of the castle. It's missing

00:04:21

Speaker 1: a gate, she said, how are all the little people

00:04:25

Speaker 1: supposed to get in? Oh you're right, cried Jake, laughing.

00:04:31

Speaker 1: Their mum was always so good at spotting things that

00:04:34

Speaker 1: they couldn't see. He gave the front of the castle

00:04:38

Speaker 1: a quick tap, and a wooden gate appeared, complete with

00:04:42

Speaker 1: metal hinges and a perfect iron pork colless that could

00:04:46

Speaker 1: be lifted up and down. There we go, Jake said,

00:04:50

Speaker 1: that's better.

00:04:52

Speaker 2: What's that, asked.

00:04:54

Speaker 1: Lily, pointing at the piece of paper in their mum's hand. This,

00:04:59

Speaker 1: she replied, brandishing the paper in the air, is a

00:05:03

Speaker 1: letter from your school. A letter from their school. Now

00:05:08

Speaker 1: their mum had their undivided attention. What does it say,

00:05:13

Speaker 1: the twins asked, bubbling with excitement. Their mum cleared her

00:05:18

Speaker 1: throat and, taking a deep breath, began to read the

00:05:21

Speaker 1: letter out loud. Dear Lily and Jake, Jupiter, in a

00:05:28

Speaker 1: few days time, you will be returning to the Leora

00:05:31

Speaker 1: Academy to embark upon another year of magical learning. At

00:05:36

Speaker 1: the end of this letter, you will find a list

00:05:39

Speaker 1: of items that you will need to ensure you have

00:05:41

Speaker 1: prepared for the coming year, including new books and stationary

00:05:47

Speaker 1: As you will know, you have now reached the age

00:05:51

Speaker 1: at which you are entitled to bring with you a

00:05:53

Speaker 1: magical companion, whether that be animal or vegetable, that can

00:05:59

Speaker 1: live with you in your dormitories. I advise you choose wisely.

00:06:04

Speaker 1: We look forward to welcoming you back soon. The letter

00:06:08

Speaker 1: was signed by their head teacher, Doctor Howard, and when

00:06:12

Speaker 1: she was finished speaking the twins mother waved the list

00:06:15

Speaker 1: in the air well. She said, you heard what Dr

00:06:21

Speaker 1: Howard wrote in her letter. We've got to make sure

00:06:24

Speaker 1: we've got all the supplies you too will need for

00:06:27

Speaker 1: going back to school. We'll go to York this afternoon.

00:06:31

Speaker 1: That's the best place to buy it. All time to

00:06:35

Speaker 1: get ready. We'll leave in twenty minutes, and.

00:06:39

Speaker 2: With that she walked out of the door.

00:06:42

Speaker 1: Lily and Jake could barely contain their excitement. Not only

00:06:46

Speaker 1: was it almost time to head back to school, but

00:06:49

Speaker 1: they also got to take a trip to York, a

00:06:52

Speaker 1: city they traveled to on the train, wasting not a

00:06:57

Speaker 1: single moment.

00:06:58

Speaker 2: They brushed their teeth.

00:07:00

Speaker 1: Packed their bags, tied their shoelaces up nice and tight,

00:07:04

Speaker 1: and were stood waiting by the front door before twenty

00:07:07

Speaker 1: minutes was even up.

00:07:10

Speaker 2: My my, said their mum. I'm very impressed.

00:07:15

Speaker 1: Okay, then off we go. They walked to the train

00:07:19

Speaker 1: station and waited fusy with anticipation for the train to arrive.

00:07:24

Speaker 1: When it did, they jumped on and got a table

00:07:27

Speaker 1: seat and watched out the window as the houses flew past,

00:07:31

Speaker 1: and the gardens with swing sets and dogs running round

00:07:35

Speaker 1: in circles. They passed over a bridge, and from up

00:07:39

Speaker 1: above they saw the streets flowing with a stream of

00:07:43

Speaker 1: cars so small they looked like toys. When they reached York,

00:07:49

Speaker 1: Lily and Jake's mum led them through the cobbled streets,

00:07:52

Speaker 1: past all the shops and cafes and restaurants, and then

00:07:56

Speaker 1: down a narrow, paved staircase that the twins didn't notice

00:08:01

Speaker 1: until they were already on it.

00:08:04

Speaker 2: Those steps have had a special.

00:08:07

Speaker 1: Charm cast upon them, their mum told them as they

00:08:11

Speaker 1: walked down, you can't find them unless you already know

00:08:16

Speaker 1: they're there. They emerged into a wide, cobbled square that

00:08:21

Speaker 1: might have been the same as any other square in York,

00:08:25

Speaker 1: except that the shops around the edges were all magical shops,

00:08:30

Speaker 1: selling all kinds of wonderful things like cauldrons and wands

00:08:36

Speaker 1: and broomsticks, and all sorts of unimaginable ingredients for making

00:08:42

Speaker 1: potions and casting mysterious spells. First of all, said their mum,

00:08:49

Speaker 1: we need to get you some new bits of uniform.

00:08:54

Speaker 1: You've both grown so much over the summer that some

00:08:57

Speaker 1: of your clothes don't fit you any more. She led

00:09:01

Speaker 1: them down to the doorway of a small dark shop. Inside,

00:09:06

Speaker 1: the walls were lined with so many clothes, soft woolen robes,

00:09:12

Speaker 1: crisp cotton shirts, pointed felt hats that the air in

00:09:17

Speaker 1: the room felt muffled from the mass of clothes. At

00:09:21

Speaker 1: the back of the shop appeared a little man with

00:09:24

Speaker 1: a mass of curly gray hair, holding a length of

00:09:28

Speaker 1: measuring tape and gripping a handful of clothes pins in

00:09:32

Speaker 1: his teeth. Hallo, he said, how can I help you?

00:09:38

Speaker 1: The twins ma'am explained that they were here for some

00:09:41

Speaker 1: new school clothes. Jake needed a new cloak, and Lily's

00:09:47

Speaker 1: witch's hat, which she'd had since her first year of school,

00:09:50

Speaker 1: was finally looking a bit too worn and threadbare, so

00:09:54

Speaker 1: needed replacing.

00:09:57

Speaker 2: Certainly.

00:09:58

Speaker 1: The man said, to begin, we will need to take

00:10:02

Speaker 1: your sizes, and with a flourish he threw his measuring

00:10:07

Speaker 1: tape up into the air. For a few moments, it

00:10:11

Speaker 1: hung there before snaking through the air towards the twins. First,

00:10:18

Speaker 1: it measured around Jake's shoulders before flying over to Lily

00:10:23

Speaker 1: and wrapping snugly around her forehead. Watching the magic measuring

00:10:29

Speaker 1: tape flying around the shop filled both of the twins

00:10:33

Speaker 1: up with a sense of wonder. They really couldn't wait

00:10:37

Speaker 1: to get back to school. Once the measuring was complete,

00:10:43

Speaker 1: the man showed Jake and Lily all of the options

00:10:46

Speaker 1: in their size. Jake tried on a dark blue cloak,

00:10:51

Speaker 1: then a dark red one, before deciding after all that

00:10:56

Speaker 1: he preferred a bottled green cloak, which tied at the

00:11:00

Speaker 1: throat with a silver string. Lily chose a very elegant

00:11:05

Speaker 1: felt hat with a long blue feather sticking out of

00:11:09

Speaker 1: the top. The shopkeeper assured them he had personally plucked

00:11:14

Speaker 1: the feather from the plumage of a rare Arctic bird,

00:11:18

Speaker 1: which had the power to freeze water with just a

00:11:22

Speaker 1: flap of its wings. If you wave the feather over

00:11:28

Speaker 1: a glass of apple juice, he told her, it's as

00:11:31

Speaker 1: good as putting it in the fridge. Very happy with

00:11:35

Speaker 1: their purchases, the Jupiter twins went back out to the

00:11:39

Speaker 1: square with their mum. Where to next, they asked her,

00:11:44

Speaker 1: Next up, she said, putting on her glasses and inspecting

00:11:48

Speaker 1: the shopping list, We need to get you some stationery,

00:11:54

Speaker 1: and she led them to a shop across the square

00:11:57

Speaker 1: with a bright purple sign that read partch and quills.

00:12:04

Speaker 1: They opened the door and a bell chimed, causing a

00:12:08

Speaker 1: tall woman with purple lipstick and a great big smile

00:12:12

Speaker 1: to materialize, as if from nowhere. Welcome to the stationery shop,

00:12:18

Speaker 1: she said, How can I help you?

00:12:22

Speaker 2: We've got all sorts.

00:12:24

Speaker 1: Of magical, marvelous offers on at the moment, including invisible

00:12:29

Speaker 1: ink that only reveals itself if you whisper the right password,

00:12:34

Speaker 1: and a pencil case that can store over a hundred

00:12:39

Speaker 1: pencils but weighs no more than a feather. The twins

00:12:44

Speaker 1: mum explained to the woman that they needed to look

00:12:47

Speaker 1: at the notepads since they were heading back to school

00:12:51

Speaker 1: and would need somewhere to write everything down that they'd learned. Ah. Yes,

00:12:57

Speaker 1: the woman said, blinking down at them, kind we have

00:13:02

Speaker 1: just the thing. They followed the woman across the shop

00:13:07

Speaker 1: to a wall lined with notepads of many different shapes, sizes,

00:13:12

Speaker 1: and colors. Lily pointed at one that was in the

00:13:16

Speaker 1: shape of a crescent moon. Ah, sighed the woman, Our

00:13:23

Speaker 1: lunar pad. It waxes and wanes with the moon. A

00:13:29

Speaker 1: marvelous bit of magic, but a little inconvenient if you

00:13:33

Speaker 1: need to jop something down on a new moon and

00:13:37

Speaker 1: discover it's disappeared altogether. The shopkeeper told them that the

00:13:43

Speaker 1: absolute best seller for kids returning to Magic School that

00:13:47

Speaker 1: September was a notepad that automatically filed the notes you

00:13:52

Speaker 1: made according to school subject. It can even tell which

00:13:59

Speaker 1: notes I haven't quite gone into your memory well enough,

00:14:03

Speaker 1: she told them, and places them at the front of

00:14:07

Speaker 1: the notepad to help you when the time comes for revision.

00:14:12

Speaker 1: They all agreed that this was the perfect notepad to buy.

00:14:18

Speaker 1: Jake chose a dark green one to go with his cloak,

00:14:22

Speaker 1: and Lily chose one of an icy blue, which would

00:14:25

Speaker 1: go just perfectly with her new hat. They stored their

00:14:30

Speaker 1: new notebooks in their bags, said thank you to the

00:14:34

Speaker 1: stationery shopkeeper, and went.

00:14:36

Speaker 2: Back out to the square.

00:14:39

Speaker 1: Last up, said the twins mum, inspecting her list once more,

00:14:45

Speaker 1: we need to go to the bookstore. You've got a

00:14:48

Speaker 1: couple of books to get. She led them across the

00:14:52

Speaker 1: square and they stepped into a little shop. The air

00:14:57

Speaker 1: inside smiled of old parch, rich and woody, and golden

00:15:03

Speaker 1: moats of dust were suspended in the air above them.

00:15:08

Speaker 1: The walls stretched up higher than they could see, and

00:15:12

Speaker 1: every inch of every wall was covered with rows and

00:15:17

Speaker 1: rows of books, their leather spines gleaming softly in the

00:15:22

Speaker 1: dim light. Neither Lily nor Jake could quite believe that

00:15:27

Speaker 1: such a room could fit inside the tiny building they'd

00:15:30

Speaker 1: stepped into. Magic or no magic. But as they stared

00:15:35

Speaker 1: upwards in awe, a sound distracted them, a rattling and

00:15:41

Speaker 1: a rumbling. Then they saw where the sound was coming from.

00:15:48

Speaker 1: Above them, a box like contraption descended steadily, and in

00:15:53

Speaker 1: it stood an old lady with thin, gold rimmed glasses

00:15:58

Speaker 1: and a puff of hair like a cloud. Hello, she said,

00:16:05

Speaker 1: Welcome to my bewitched bookstore. She patted the metal rail

00:16:10

Speaker 1: of the contraption she stood in This is my machine

00:16:14

Speaker 1: that lets me get all the way to the top

00:16:17

Speaker 1: of the book tower. Very important for a little woman

00:16:21

Speaker 1: like me. She smiled at them very kindly. Now, how

00:16:27

Speaker 1: can I help you? We have every book you could

00:16:32

Speaker 1: possibly imagine, and if we don't have it for you,

00:16:35

Speaker 1: well we'll magic it up. Lily's eyes grew wide with excitement.

00:16:42

Speaker 1: There was nothing she loved more than a good book,

00:16:46

Speaker 1: and this was the most wonderful place she'd ever laid

00:16:50

Speaker 1: eyes on. The twins. Mum explained that they had come

00:16:55

Speaker 1: to purchase the books the students required for their next

00:16:58

Speaker 1: year at school, and handed the bookseller the list. The

00:17:03

Speaker 1: woman squinted at it through her glasses and then gave

00:17:07

Speaker 1: a happy nod. Oh, yes, she said, we've got all

00:17:13

Speaker 1: of these. She looked at Jake and Lily. Well, hop

00:17:19

Speaker 1: in you two, she said, let's go and find them.

00:17:24

Speaker 1: They didn't need telling twice. The Jupiter twins jumped into

00:17:28

Speaker 1: the contraption beside the bookseller, and once she'd made sure

00:17:32

Speaker 1: they were securely in, she gave the rail two taps

00:17:36

Speaker 1: with her finger and said, off we go, and with

00:17:41

Speaker 1: that they began to travel upwards. In spite of all

00:17:47

Speaker 1: the rattling. It was a surprisingly smooth ride. Jake thought

00:17:52

Speaker 1: it was almost as good fun as riding his broom.

00:17:57

Speaker 1: Book spines flew past them in a blur of color,

00:18:01

Speaker 1: and soon they came to a stop at a shelf

00:18:04

Speaker 1: way up high. Here we are, said the woman first

00:18:10

Speaker 1: on the list. Seeing in the dark, there it is.

00:18:15

Speaker 1: She pointed at a book by Jake's shoulder, which, upon

00:18:19

Speaker 1: hearing its name, had opened three bright blue eyes and

00:18:23

Speaker 1: started staring at them. Go on, then, the bookseller said, encouragingly.

00:18:30

Speaker 1: Seeing that Jake was a little nervous, take it. Jake

00:18:35

Speaker 1: reached out and plucked the book off the shelf. He

00:18:39

Speaker 1: put it in a basket on the side of the

00:18:41

Speaker 1: moving contraption. When the book was laid down, all its

00:18:46

Speaker 1: eyes closed, it seemed to be sleeping quite heavily. After that,

00:18:54

Speaker 1: they flew around the Bewitched bookstore, finding all the other

00:18:58

Speaker 1: books on the list, and at last arrived back at

00:19:02

Speaker 1: the floor where the Jupiter twin's mum was waiting for them.

00:19:07

Speaker 2: Did you find them all? She asked them. Oh, yes,

00:19:12

Speaker 2: said Lily.

00:19:13

Speaker 1: We got all of the books on the list, and

00:19:16

Speaker 1: also I picked up one more. She showed her. Mum

00:19:20

Speaker 1: a book of fairy tales?

00:19:22

Speaker 2: Please?

00:19:22

Speaker 1: Can I have this one too? Her mum laughed and

00:19:26

Speaker 1: said that was quite all right, and with great delight,

00:19:31

Speaker 1: Lily tucked the book of fairy Tales into her bag

00:19:34

Speaker 1: alongside the other books. They thanked the bookseller and stepped

00:19:39

Speaker 1: back out into the square. Their mum sighed and slapped

00:19:44

Speaker 1: her hands together as though she were brushing dust from them,

00:19:49

Speaker 1: which was what she always did when she came to

00:19:52

Speaker 1: the end of a task. Oh kay, then she said,

00:19:57

Speaker 1: that's us all done. Come on, you two, let's head home.

00:20:03

Speaker 1: Before she'd even finished speaking, she'd turned away and begun

00:20:07

Speaker 1: to head towards the narrow stone staircase that would lead

00:20:11

Speaker 1: them back out into the non magical part of the

00:20:15

Speaker 1: city of York. But she'd only made it a few

00:20:18

Speaker 1: steps when suddenly both her children were on her, Jake

00:20:23

Speaker 1: hanging off the sleeve of her right arm and Lily

00:20:27

Speaker 1: hanging off the sleeve of her left arm. No, ma'am,

00:20:31

Speaker 1: they cried, We're not done yet. She slowed her steps

00:20:36

Speaker 1: and looked at them, frowning a little. She passed her

00:20:41

Speaker 1: eyes over the list again and said, yes, we are.

00:20:45

Speaker 1: There's nothing left on the list. What is there left

00:20:49

Speaker 1: to do. She looked at the twins quizzically. The Jupiter

00:20:55

Speaker 1: twins explained to their mom that doctor Howard's letter had

00:20:59

Speaker 1: added that they were allowed this year to bring a

00:21:03

Speaker 1: magical companion to school if they wanted, which they certainly did.

00:21:09

Speaker 2: Oh, of course.

00:21:11

Speaker 1: Their mum said, tapping her forehead, I'd completely forgotten. We

00:21:17

Speaker 1: absolutely must find you each a companion to take with you. So,

00:21:24

Speaker 1: for the final time, the Jupiter twins mum led them

00:21:28

Speaker 1: across the cobbled square and into the pet emporium, which

00:21:33

Speaker 1: was filled with all kinds of magical life, both animal

00:21:38

Speaker 1: and vegetable. She told Jake and Lily to head off

00:21:43

Speaker 1: and choose a companion each. The twins wandered around the emporium,

00:21:50

Speaker 1: looking around at all of the creatures, cats and frogs,

00:21:55

Speaker 1: and enchanted flowers, magicians, rabbits and crafty and trees that

00:22:02

Speaker 1: grew magical ingredients. It took them quite a while to choose,

00:22:08

Speaker 1: but eventually they returned to where their mum was waiting

00:22:12

Speaker 1: for them at the front of the emporium, leafing through

00:22:15

Speaker 1: a magazine about how to care for your new pet unicorn. Well,

00:22:21

Speaker 1: she said, seeing them return, have you both chosen your

00:22:25

Speaker 1: new companions. Go on and show me. Then. First of all,

00:22:32

Speaker 1: Lily showed her mum what she had chosen. It was

00:22:35

Speaker 1: a bright green slug that fitted perfectly in the palm

00:22:39

Speaker 1: of her hand. And best of all, she told her mum,

00:22:44

Speaker 1: he knows how to talk. Look, and she asked the

00:22:48

Speaker 1: slug to say hello to her mum. Hello, said the slug. Hello, slug,

00:22:56

Speaker 1: said the Jupiter twins mum, before she turned to Jake.

00:23:00

Speaker 1: And you, Jake, what have you found? From behind his back?

00:23:06

Speaker 1: Jake withdrew a magical cabbage plant growing in a yellow

00:23:11

Speaker 1: ceramic pot. Its leaves were extra bushy and their edges

00:23:16

Speaker 1: seemed to twinkle with starlight. This cabbage has magical healing properties,

00:23:24

Speaker 1: he told her. Just eat a leaf and it will

00:23:27

Speaker 1: make you feel better if you ever get a bit poorly. Well,

00:23:33

Speaker 1: said his mum. That will be just perfect for when

00:23:37

Speaker 1: you're back at school. She looked at her two children,

00:23:42

Speaker 1: Lily with her magic slug and Jake with his magic cabbage,

00:23:47

Speaker 1: and clapped her hand to her mouth to stop herself

00:23:51

Speaker 1: laughing out loud, but she couldn't help it. A few

00:23:55

Speaker 1: giggles escaped. What asked the Jupiter twins, Why are you

00:24:01

Speaker 1: laughing so much?

00:24:03

Speaker 2: Ma'am?

00:24:05

Speaker 1: Well, she said, you too are going to have to

00:24:10

Speaker 1: be careful that the slug doesn't eat all of the

00:24:13

Speaker 1: magical cabbage. Jake and Lily looked at their companions, looked

00:24:20

Speaker 1: at each other, and then burst out laughing too. If

00:24:26

Speaker 1: the slug does eat the cabbage, said Jake, at least

00:24:30

Speaker 1: we know he won't get sick. When the three of

00:24:34

Speaker 1: them had managed to stop laughing, they looked up to

00:24:38

Speaker 1: the sky and saw that the sun was beginning to set.

00:24:42

Speaker 1: Come on, said the twins, Mum, off, we go back

00:24:47

Speaker 1: to the train station. I bet your dad will have

00:24:51

Speaker 1: cooked something delicious for dinner. So the Jupiter twins picked

00:24:57

Speaker 1: up all of the day's purchases, Jake's new green cloak

00:25:02

Speaker 1: and Lily's new blue feathered hat, their special self sorting

00:25:08

Speaker 1: note books, the stack of books they'd bought from the

00:25:13

Speaker 1: Bewitched bookstore, and the new companions, the slug and the

00:25:19

Speaker 1: magic cabbage, and followed their mum up the narrow stone stairs.

00:25:25

Speaker 1: At the top step, Jake leant over towards Lily and

00:25:30

Speaker 1: whispered in her ear, I can't wait to get back

00:25:36

Speaker 1: to school. Lily, looked at her brother, smiled brightly, and whispered,

00:25:44

Speaker 1: I know me neitherasssssssssssssssssssssssss
