00:00:10

Speaker 1: Hi, and welcome back to Coco Sleep, a podcast of

00:00:14

Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime

00:00:20

Speaker 1: a dream. Tonight's drum roll, high fives and supercharged smiles.

00:00:25

Speaker 1: They're going out to our newest Coco clubbers. That's Bruce, Jade,

00:00:30

Speaker 1: Soren Wilder, Gabby Remy, Isabelle, Audrey, Owen, Maya and Sahara

00:00:39

Speaker 1: Darwin and Artemis, Noah and Willow. Thank you all so

00:00:46

Speaker 1: much for joining Coco and I here in the clubhouse.

00:00:49

Speaker 1: It's getting quite cozy in here now. And also thank

00:00:53

Speaker 1: you for writing in with all your story ideas. Every

00:00:56

Speaker 1: day we open up your messages and we of hearing

00:01:00

Speaker 1: about you, your pets, your friends, and just having a

00:01:04

Speaker 1: glimpse into your imaginations. In fact, you may recall that

00:01:08

Speaker 1: I started doing these shout outs on the story about

00:01:12

Speaker 1: Thanksgiving because I felt it was important to acknowledge aloud

00:01:15

Speaker 1: the things I and the team here that Sleep HQ

00:01:18

Speaker 1: are grateful for. And that's you. Well. Tonight, we're returning

00:01:23

Speaker 1: to our young but wise eagle friend Ember as she

00:01:27

Speaker 1: tells Coco all about another tradition from her homeland. In

00:01:32

Speaker 1: tonight's story, Coco joins Zemba and her family for their

00:01:36

Speaker 1: Fourth of July celebrations. It's going to be a good one,

00:01:39

Speaker 1: and I know many of you are looking forward to

00:01:41

Speaker 1: another Coco story. So snuggle down, get ready to relax

00:01:47

Speaker 1: and listen, because I'm going to now begin. Coco Goes

00:01:52

Speaker 1: to the USA by Susanna McLaughlin. Deep in the heart

00:02:02

Speaker 1: of a far away forest stood a cozy cabin. Inside

00:02:07

Speaker 1: the cabin lived a family of koalas. The youngest koala

00:02:11

Speaker 1: was called Cocoa. There was a warm summer's day and

00:02:16

Speaker 1: sleepy forest. The sky was blue and bees buzzed from

00:02:20

Speaker 1: flower to flower. Coco had nothing to do but walk

00:02:25

Speaker 1: through the trees and play his pink ukulele, a perfect game.

00:02:31

Speaker 1: He thought he'd spend the morning playing on the porch.

00:02:35

Speaker 1: Then maybe he'd go for a stroll along sleepy river

00:02:38

Speaker 1: and play some more. There was nothing Coco loved more

00:02:42

Speaker 1: than playing his ukulele, except for going on adventures, perhaps.

00:02:48

Speaker 1: The little Koala strolled out of the cabin and took

00:02:51

Speaker 1: a big stretch in the sunshine. His auntie, Shirley was visiting,

00:02:56

Speaker 1: and he thought he might compose a new song to

00:02:59

Speaker 1: play for her. As he sat down on the porch

00:03:03

Speaker 1: and began to strum a gentle melody. A good friend

00:03:07

Speaker 1: of his strolled out through the trees. Coco stopped playing,

00:03:11

Speaker 1: and a big grin lit up his face. It was Ember,

00:03:17

Speaker 1: an eagle with beautiful, deep orange eyes. The reminded Coco

00:03:22

Speaker 1: of the afternoon sunshine. Ember ran over to Coco excitedly

00:03:28

Speaker 1: and wished him a good morning. Coko wished her a

00:03:32

Speaker 1: good morning, too, still smiling a big, beaming smile. Do

00:03:38

Speaker 1: you know what day it is? Ember asked Coco. Coco

00:03:44

Speaker 1: furrowed his brow and thought carefully. It was hard to

00:03:48

Speaker 1: keep track of the days in the summer. It's Thursday,

00:03:53

Speaker 1: he said, with a grin. Ember grinned too, Yes, Coco,

00:04:00

Speaker 1: she said, But more than that, it's the third of July,

00:04:06

Speaker 1: which means tomorrow is a very special day. Coco asked

00:04:12

Speaker 1: her what special day it was. Ember giggled, fourth of July.

00:04:18

Speaker 1: Of course. Ember explained that in her country over the sea,

00:04:24

Speaker 1: the fourth of July was a very special holiday. It

00:04:28

Speaker 1: was Independence Day, which meant they celebrated their country and

00:04:32

Speaker 1: commemorated that it was on that date, many many years ago,

00:04:37

Speaker 1: that the country began to look after itself. With no

00:04:41

Speaker 1: one ruling over them. She explained that they would eat

00:04:45

Speaker 1: food together, be with their families, and watch fireworks. Coco's

00:04:50

Speaker 1: eyes were sparkling fireworks and delicious food. He thought the

00:04:57

Speaker 1: holiday sounded right up his street. Ember explained that she

00:05:03

Speaker 1: and her family would be flying over to the USSA

00:05:05

Speaker 1: to celebrate this special day with her aunties and uncles,

00:05:09

Speaker 1: and asked whether Coco and his family would like to come.

00:05:13

Speaker 1: Coco nodded excitedly, then he paused. He asked Ember how

00:05:20

Speaker 1: the Koala family would fly to the ussay they didn't

00:05:24

Speaker 1: have wings after all? Well, I do sometimes, Koko corrected himself,

00:05:32

Speaker 1: when I go all magical adventures. Ember said that it

00:05:37

Speaker 1: was no matter. No wings would be necessary. After all,

00:05:41

Speaker 1: Auntie Shirley was visiting, and hadn't she arrived on a

00:05:44

Speaker 1: little aeroplane. Coco smiled, She was right. Aunt Shirley, the

00:05:52

Speaker 1: intrepid adventurer, had arrived in her new, tiny red aeroplane

00:05:57

Speaker 1: that very morning. In fact, it was parked behind the

00:06:02

Speaker 1: cabin right now. Ember said that Aunt Shirley could fly

00:06:07

Speaker 1: the plane next to the eagles on their journey if

00:06:11

Speaker 1: she wanted to, that is, she finished, shyly, Koko thought

00:06:18

Speaker 1: his family would love to celebrate the fourth of July,

00:06:21

Speaker 1: but he said he would check with them just in case.

00:06:25

Speaker 1: Cooko hopped and skipped up the steps and across the

00:06:29

Speaker 1: porch of the cabin. Inside, Coko's mom and dad were

00:06:33

Speaker 1: in the kitchen drinking tea with Auntie Shirley. Music floated

00:06:39

Speaker 1: on the air from the living room, where Koko's grandparents

00:06:42

Speaker 1: were gracefully dancing to the radio. Koko told his family

00:06:48

Speaker 1: about the Eagle's invitation, and they seemed thrilled. Unfortunately, Coko's

00:06:55

Speaker 1: parents wouldn't be able to go. They would be spending

00:06:58

Speaker 1: the next couple of days at the beach at a

00:07:01

Speaker 1: luxury hotel to celebrate their anniversary. Auntie Shirley, on the

00:07:06

Speaker 1: other hand, said she couldn't wait for the adventure and

00:07:09

Speaker 1: of course she would come along. Ko Ko's grandma and

00:07:14

Speaker 1: grandpa said they would like to come as well. Grandpa

00:07:18

Speaker 1: said he had been to the USA as a boy

00:07:20

Speaker 1: and that he had found a particular love for their

00:07:23

Speaker 1: delicious food. He patted his round tummy. But it's not

00:07:29

Speaker 1: as good as Grandma's, of course, he assured Coco with

00:07:33

Speaker 1: a wink. Grandma blushed bashfully and batted Grandpa with her paw.

00:07:41

Speaker 1: Auntie Shirley said all they would need to do is

00:07:44

Speaker 1: prepare the aeroplane ready for the morning, if Koko wouldn't

00:07:48

Speaker 1: mind helping her. Coco nodded and always settled. He ran

00:07:54

Speaker 1: out to Ember and told her that they would love

00:07:57

Speaker 1: to come and thank you for the invitation. Ember hugged

00:08:02

Speaker 1: Coco in excitement and told him that eagles would meet

00:08:05

Speaker 1: him in the morning. Ko Ko assured her that he

00:08:09

Speaker 1: couldn't wait. Ko Ko and aunt Shirley spent the afternoon

00:08:14

Speaker 1: preparing the little, shiny aeroplane for their adventure. They polished

00:08:20

Speaker 1: the propellers and dusted the windows, packed the luggage into

00:08:24

Speaker 1: the little cupboards, and made sure there was a comfy

00:08:27

Speaker 1: pillow and cozy blanket for each of the four passengers.

00:08:32

Speaker 1: Koko's grandma soon emerged from the cabin with some cold

00:08:36

Speaker 1: glasses of lemonade for the workers. Ask Ko sat on

00:08:41

Speaker 1: the grass sipping his glass. He looked up into the sky.

00:08:47

Speaker 1: It was as bright and clear as the bluest. Sea

00:08:52

Speaker 1: birds twittered and tweeted, floating on the breeze. Their tunes

00:08:58

Speaker 1: danced into Coco's ears. Coco gazed up at them in excitement.

00:09:05

Speaker 1: That will be us soon, soaring through the sky, he

00:09:10

Speaker 1: told Auntie Shirley. Auntie Shirley chuckled. She told him that

00:09:17

Speaker 1: when she was flying in her airplane on her travels,

00:09:20

Speaker 1: she always waved to the birds that flew past. She

00:09:23

Speaker 1: said it felt like she was one of ben when

00:09:26

Speaker 1: she flew. Coco grinned and said she didn't have enough

00:09:31

Speaker 1: feathers to be a bird. That night, Coco thought he

00:09:37

Speaker 1: might be too excited to sleep, but after a warm

00:09:41

Speaker 1: bubble bath and a frothy hot chocolate, he dozed off

00:09:45

Speaker 1: by the fire, and his dad had to carry the

00:09:48

Speaker 1: sleeping Koala to bed. He kissed Coco on the head

00:09:53

Speaker 1: and wished him sweet dreams, knowing he would be dreaming

00:09:58

Speaker 1: of swooping plane and far off lands. On the fourth

00:10:05

Speaker 1: of July, ko Ko awoke and sat up straight. He

00:10:10

Speaker 1: already had a smile on his face. He got dressed

00:10:14

Speaker 1: and brushed his teeth whilst bopping and dancing to a

00:10:18

Speaker 1: silent tune. He was ready for his trip to the USA.

00:10:26

Speaker 1: Koko went into the kitchen and hugged his grandpa, who

00:10:29

Speaker 1: was standing over the stove stirring a delicious steaming pan

00:10:34

Speaker 1: of porridge. Next, he circled the kitchen table, hugging his mom, dad,

00:10:41

Speaker 1: and grandma, who were already tucking into their porridge. Koko's

00:10:46

Speaker 1: grandpa carefully placed a big bowl in front of him,

00:10:50

Speaker 1: and Cooko thanked him and tucked in. The creamy porridge

00:10:56

Speaker 1: was topped with swirls of jam and blueberries. Ko Ko's

00:11:01

Speaker 1: mum said it was the perfect breakfast for an adventurer,

00:11:05

Speaker 1: and ko Ko agreed. Once all the porridge had been

00:11:10

Speaker 1: eaten up, there was a knock at the door. It

00:11:14

Speaker 1: was Martha Ember's grandma, who greeted the Choalas excitedly. Ember's

00:11:20

Speaker 1: head poked through the doorway next to her grandma and

00:11:23

Speaker 1: she waved her wing at Coko Happily. The eagles wished

00:11:28

Speaker 1: the Koalas a happy fourth July, and the Koalas wished

00:11:33

Speaker 1: the eagles a happy fourth July. In return, Ember smiled

00:11:39

Speaker 1: at ko Ko and said well done to him. He

00:11:42

Speaker 1: had dressed in the perfect colors. Ko Ko looked down

00:11:47

Speaker 1: at his outfit. He had chosen his favorite soft blue

00:11:52

Speaker 1: cordroy dungarees and a red and white striped T shirt.

00:11:56

Speaker 1: He giggled, of course, red, white and blue those were

00:12:03

Speaker 1: the colors of the American flag. He smiled bashfully, then

00:12:08

Speaker 1: admitted that it was a happy accident. Auntie Shirley emerged

00:12:14

Speaker 1: from her bedroom at the back of the cabin. She

00:12:17

Speaker 1: was wearing a T shirt with stars and stripes on it,

00:12:20

Speaker 1: shiny sunglasses, and a bandanna, all in the shades of red, white,

00:12:26

Speaker 1: and blue. Her outfit certainly wasn't an accident. She looked

00:12:32

Speaker 1: like a walking flag. Ember and Martha clapped their feathery

00:12:37

Speaker 1: wings and the Koala's gasp and complimented Shirley on her outfit.

00:12:44

Speaker 1: It was perfect for the occasion. Grandpa went into his

00:12:49

Speaker 1: wardrobe and pulled out a stripy tie in all the

00:12:52

Speaker 1: right colors, and handed Grandma her hat with a big

00:12:56

Speaker 1: blue flower on it, which she saved for specially Asians.

00:13:02

Speaker 1: Now they all were ready, The Koalas left the cabin

00:13:06

Speaker 1: and climbed aboard the shiny airplane. Coco's mom and dad

00:13:12

Speaker 1: waved from the front porch as the plane rose up,

00:13:16

Speaker 1: up and away, following the eagles into the cloudless sky.

00:13:22

Speaker 1: Coco gazed out of his flying goggles with his mouth agape.

00:13:28

Speaker 1: He could see for miles there were green treetops as

00:13:33

Speaker 1: far as he could see in one direction, and the

00:13:36

Speaker 1: big blue sea in another. Auntie Shirley turned the plane

00:13:43

Speaker 1: in a big swoop and a loop de loop, and

00:13:47

Speaker 1: soon they were flying over the sea towards the horizon.

00:13:52

Speaker 1: Ember waved at Coco from the sky, and Coco waved

00:13:57

Speaker 1: back gleefully. The little Eagle was a fantastic flyer, gliding

00:14:04

Speaker 1: in and out of her family. He looked such fun,

00:14:10

Speaker 1: but Coco was happy to lay back in his seat

00:14:13

Speaker 1: and take a nap. A little while later, as the

00:14:18

Speaker 1: plane came into land, the little Koala was awoken by

00:14:23

Speaker 1: his grandparents and Auntie Shirley's whooping. The plane came to

00:14:28

Speaker 1: a halt on a wide clearing of grass where the

00:14:32

Speaker 1: family of eagles were sitting resting their wings. As Coco, Grandpa, Grandma,

00:14:40

Speaker 1: and Auntie Shirley joined the eagles on the grass, Coco

00:14:45

Speaker 1: took in his surroundings. It was even warmer here than

00:14:50

Speaker 1: in sleepy forest. The sun was beating down and Coco

00:14:55

Speaker 1: patted himself on the back for bringing his son hat.

00:14:59

Speaker 1: The Koala's greeted the eagles, and Martha and Ember's mother, Delilah,

00:15:05

Speaker 1: came to welcome them. Welcome to the Usa. Delilah sang

00:15:12

Speaker 1: out to the koalas, taking Auntie Shirley's paw and complimenting

00:15:17

Speaker 1: her excellent flying skills. The clearing was in the center

00:15:22

Speaker 1: of a beautiful cornfield. Green shoots laden with golden corns

00:15:28

Speaker 1: swayed in the light breeze, and Cocoa was far too

00:15:32

Speaker 1: small to see over their tops. He imagined that he

00:15:37

Speaker 1: was the size of an ant walking through the grass.

00:15:42

Speaker 1: The thought made him giggle. Delilah told them that it

00:15:46

Speaker 1: wasn't far to Auntie Patti's house and that the whole

00:15:50

Speaker 1: family would be there ready for a day of fun.

00:15:55

Speaker 1: Coco took his grandpa's paw in one hand and his

00:15:58

Speaker 1: grandma's pour and the other, and they followed the eagles

00:16:02

Speaker 1: through the cornfield. Soon they emerged at a beautiful wooden

00:16:08

Speaker 1: house with a huge green garden. On the lawn was

00:16:15

Speaker 1: a huge table surrounded by chairs. There were games piled

00:16:19

Speaker 1: up on the patio waiting to be played, and tendrils

00:16:23

Speaker 1: of deliciously scented smoke rose from the barbecue. American flags

00:16:29

Speaker 1: were fluttering in the wind, and sparkling confetti was scattered

00:16:33

Speaker 1: across the tablecloth in shining red, white, and blue. A

00:16:38

Speaker 1: friendly looking eagle with horn rimmed glasses and a cozy

00:16:42

Speaker 1: sweater was laying cutlery on the table, and a slightly flustered,

00:16:47

Speaker 1: flushed eagle wearing an apron crossed the patio with bowls

00:16:52

Speaker 1: balanced between her wings, filled with treats and snacks. Ember

00:16:57

Speaker 1: hurried over to Cocoa and told him that that was

00:17:01

Speaker 1: Uncle Chip and Auntie Patty. The two eagles saw their

00:17:05

Speaker 1: family emerge from the field and they both ran over

00:17:09

Speaker 1: in delight, throwing their wings around the eagles and the

00:17:13

Speaker 1: koalas too. They wished each other a happy Fourth of July,

00:17:18

Speaker 1: and Coco bounced on the spot in excitement. Uncle Chip

00:17:24

Speaker 1: flicked on his record player and the garden was filled

00:17:27

Speaker 1: with lively music. Coko felt his toes begin to tap

00:17:34

Speaker 1: and his head begin to bob, and soon he and

00:17:39

Speaker 1: Ember were dancing on the lawn, holding on to one

00:17:42

Speaker 1: another and twirling around until they were dizzy. Coco's grandpa

00:17:48

Speaker 1: was dancing with Grandma, and Martha and Patty were holding

00:17:52

Speaker 1: wings and jiving back and forth. The garden was filled

00:17:57

Speaker 1: with eagles, laughing and joking and having fun. Auntie Shirley

00:18:02

Speaker 1: was giggling with Delilah and playing cards, and delicious smells

00:18:07

Speaker 1: continued billowing from the barbecue. Soon Uncle Chip cowed and

00:18:14

Speaker 1: the dancers stopped, dancing, out of breath and grinning ear

00:18:18

Speaker 1: to ear. The food was ready. The table was now

00:18:23

Speaker 1: laden with food. There were hot dogs and burghers and

00:18:27

Speaker 1: delicious buttered corn on the cob. There was mac and cheese,

00:18:32

Speaker 1: salca and chips, and bowls of potato salad. There were

00:18:36

Speaker 1: strawberries and apples and peaches. Cocoa licked his lips. Auntie

00:18:43

Speaker 1: Patty placed a bowl of eucalyptus leaf salad in front

00:18:47

Speaker 1: of the koalas with a wink, and Grandpa licked his lips.

00:18:51

Speaker 1: They all ate a lot, but Grandpa ate the most.

00:18:56

Speaker 1: He ate a mountain of mac and cheese and scoop

00:19:00

Speaker 1: hoop after scoop of potato salad. He ate and ate

00:19:05

Speaker 1: and ate, then patted his stomach in satisfaction. Then Aunt

00:19:13

Speaker 1: Patty brought out warm apple pies and Grandpa ate two

00:19:17

Speaker 1: slices and three bites of Grandma's slice two. Not long after,

00:19:23

Speaker 1: he was napping in Uncle Chip's armchair, snoring peacefully while

00:19:28

Speaker 1: the party went on around him. Coco and Ember spent

00:19:32

Speaker 1: the afternoon, playing baseball on the lawn, whilst the adults

00:19:36

Speaker 1: chatted away in the sunshine. When the sun began to set,

00:19:42

Speaker 1: Auntie Patty told Coco and Ember it was time for

00:19:46

Speaker 1: everybody to head into town. There would be a parade

00:19:50

Speaker 1: ending with fireworks in the park. Ember beamed, he won't

00:19:57

Speaker 1: believe the fireworks, Cocoa, She said, they filled the whole

00:20:04

Speaker 1: sky with colorful sparkles. It's amazing. Coco asked if he

00:20:12

Speaker 1: could guess the colors of the fireworks. Would they be red, white,

00:20:18

Speaker 1: and blue? He asked. Ember chuckled, Of course, she said,

00:20:26

Speaker 1: it's the fourth of July. The eagles and Koalas walked

00:20:32

Speaker 1: together down the road towards town. There were rows of

00:20:36

Speaker 1: shops and houses, all closed but glowing with light and

00:20:41

Speaker 1: decorated with flags. There was a bandstand twinkling with fairy lights,

00:20:47

Speaker 1: and the night air was filled with the soft scents

00:20:50

Speaker 1: of the flowers and plants that lined the road. Coco

00:20:56

Speaker 1: whispered to Ember, I like the u. Ember's golden eyes

00:21:04

Speaker 1: shone with pride, and she took Coco's pour in her wing.

00:21:09

Speaker 1: The koalas and eagles took their places along the edges

00:21:13

Speaker 1: of main street where the procession would soon come through.

00:21:18

Speaker 1: They were ready, each clutching a little flag, ready to

00:21:23

Speaker 1: wave at the parade. The street filled up with other animals,

00:21:29

Speaker 1: creating a sea of red, white and blue. Before long,

00:21:35

Speaker 1: Coco heard some music drifting from the distance and the

00:21:40

Speaker 1: sound of footsteps. Here they come, Ember whispered excitedly. Down

00:21:49

Speaker 1: the center of the road came animals dressed in lavish costumes.

00:21:54

Speaker 1: There were bears in fluffy hats, rabbits hopping in waistcoats

00:21:59

Speaker 1: and bow ties, and bobcats in billowing dresses. All of

00:22:05

Speaker 1: their outfits were the color of the flag, and they

00:22:08

Speaker 1: all held bright banners and flags in celebration. Coco waved

00:22:16

Speaker 1: his flag excitedly. Soon the source of the music became clear.

00:22:23

Speaker 1: There was a marching band with gleaming brass instruments and

00:22:28

Speaker 1: booming drums. They played raucous jazz music, and Coco tapped

00:22:33

Speaker 1: his feet. It was the most uplifting, joyous music, and

00:22:39

Speaker 1: it made him want to dance. It seemed to make

00:22:44

Speaker 1: his grandparents feel the same way. I remember this music,

00:22:50

Speaker 1: his grandpa called, and I think I remember the dance

00:22:56

Speaker 1: moves too. He took Grandma's and the two of them

00:23:02

Speaker 1: entered the parade and began to dance. Grandpa swirled Grandma

00:23:08

Speaker 1: under his arm, and Grandma jumped, twirled and tapped to

00:23:13

Speaker 1: the music. Coco laughed. They looked right at home in

00:23:18

Speaker 1: the parade. There were other dancers too, and as the

00:23:23

Speaker 1: parade passed, people began to follow them down Main Street

00:23:28

Speaker 1: towards the green trees of the park. As they reached

00:23:32

Speaker 1: the park, the band began to play the national anthem

00:23:36

Speaker 1: and everyone sang along. Coco included a whole host of

00:23:43

Speaker 1: animals gathered on the grass. There were opossums and raccoons,

00:23:49

Speaker 1: cats and dogs, bears and squirrels and deer. There was

00:23:54

Speaker 1: excitement and music in the air, and everyone was gazing

00:23:58

Speaker 1: at the now star sky expectantly. The koalas and eagles

00:24:05

Speaker 1: headed to the concession stand and passed hot chocolate to

00:24:10

Speaker 1: one another. Before long, the fireworks began. The whole sky

00:24:17

Speaker 1: glimmered and gleamed with flashes of light, as if every

00:24:23

Speaker 1: star in the sky had come to life and was

00:24:26

Speaker 1: shooting and glowing in ruby red, silver, white, and vivid blue.

00:24:33

Speaker 1: The fireworks seemed to zoom up and burst in time

00:24:37

Speaker 1: with the music and the sparkles rained towards the earth,

00:24:42

Speaker 1: disappearing before they reached the ground. There were gasps from

00:24:48

Speaker 1: the crowd as each new firework cracked and bloomed into

00:24:53

Speaker 1: a splash of stars, and every animal was enraptured by

00:24:59

Speaker 1: the show. As Coco stood there, open mouthed, with hot

00:25:05

Speaker 1: chocolate on his cheeks and his Auntie Shirley's arms around

00:25:09

Speaker 1: his shoulders, he felt like the luckiest Koala in the world.

00:25:16

Speaker 1: It was his happiest Fourth of July ever. The very

00:25:21

Speaker 1: moment that the last firework shimmered and glimmered and disappeared,

00:25:28

Speaker 1: Coco let out a sleepy yawn. The eagles and Koalas

00:25:34

Speaker 1: walked back to Uncle Chip and Auntie Patty's in warm,

00:25:40

Speaker 1: sleepy silence. It was time to say good night and

00:25:44

Speaker 1: head home. The eagles and koalas all hugged one another

00:25:51

Speaker 1: and said thank you for such a magical day. Uncle

00:25:57

Speaker 1: Chip and Auntie Patty told the koala that they would

00:26:01

Speaker 1: always be welcome, and the Koalas told them that they

00:26:06

Speaker 1: were always welcome in Sleepy Forest too. Ember gave a

00:26:12

Speaker 1: big yawn, Martha gave her a hug and said she

00:26:17

Speaker 1: seemed too sleepy to fly and maybe she should ride

00:26:21

Speaker 1: with Auntie Shirley and the Koalas. Coco told Ember that

00:26:28

Speaker 1: it would be a perfect way to travel at this

00:26:30

Speaker 1: time of night, as he had made sure to bring

00:26:34

Speaker 1: squishy pillows and blankets aboard. Ember nodded sleepily and walked

00:26:41

Speaker 1: with the Koalas back to the clearing, where the little

00:26:44

Speaker 1: red plane gleamed in the moonlight. The Koalas and the

00:26:51

Speaker 1: little Eagle climbed aboard and got cozy, each with their

00:26:57

Speaker 1: own comfy blanket and cozy pillow. Grandma's soft snores drifted

00:27:05

Speaker 1: from the back of the plane. Within minutes, she had

00:27:09

Speaker 1: a fluffy eye mask on with two silly eyes embroidered

00:27:13

Speaker 1: onto them, so it looked like she wasn't sleeping at all,

00:27:18

Speaker 1: but her snorls gave her away. As Auntie Shirley maneuvered

00:27:24

Speaker 1: the plane up into the stars, Coco gazed out of

00:27:29

Speaker 1: the window with a soft smile. The deep blue sky

00:27:35

Speaker 1: twinkled and shimmered over the lands of the USA, and

00:27:41

Speaker 1: the eagles drifted through the air beside them, waving at

00:27:46

Speaker 1: Coco through the window. Coco waved back before closing his

00:27:54

Speaker 1: eyes and beginning to drift off to sleep. Lull to

00:28:00

Speaker 1: dreamland by the soft hum of the plane's engine and

00:28:06

Speaker 1: the soft lullaby singing of the pilot.
