Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Kohala Moon, a podcast of
00:00:14
Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime
00:00:20
Speaker 1: a dream. Before we get into Tonight's bedtime story, let
00:00:24
Speaker 1: me warmly welcome our newest members of Coco's Club, for
00:00:28
Speaker 1: without you, we wouldn't still be here. Hello, and thank
00:00:31
Speaker 1: you for joining and supporting us. Delilah, who's five. Coco
00:00:35
Speaker 1: Club was her birthday present, brothers Lincoln and Jack, and
00:00:39
Speaker 1: Tennessee Arthur who's seven, Cherry who's three, and little Drew
00:00:44
Speaker 1: who loves Koala's apparently and has kindly shared her love
00:00:48
Speaker 1: of Coco and Kohala Moon to her friends. Thanks for
00:00:51
Speaker 1: doing that, Drew and Coco clubbers. It is great to
00:00:55
Speaker 1: have you all here with me, and I hope you
00:00:57
Speaker 1: all enjoy the extra stories and add free listening coming
00:01:00
Speaker 1: your way. Now into Night's story, we're joining Coco as
00:01:05
Speaker 1: he's settling down for bedtime in his cozy sleep cabin
00:01:08
Speaker 1: with his sister Kira. All is quiet until quite out
00:01:13
Speaker 1: of the ordinary, he hears a distant noise coming from
00:01:17
Speaker 1: sleepy forest, and he heads out to investigate. What he
00:01:22
Speaker 1: finds is the thing of dreams and fantasy. This is
00:01:28
Speaker 1: Coco and the Good Night Circus, the coziest bedtime story
00:01:33
Speaker 1: for kids. Coco snuggled down further into his blankets and
00:01:45
Speaker 1: poured his fluffy toy Dinosaur tighter into his arms. He
00:01:51
Speaker 1: opened one eye and peeked over to where Kira was
00:01:54
Speaker 1: laid in her bed across the room. The golden glow
00:01:59
Speaker 1: from the night life showed that she was already sleeping,
00:02:03
Speaker 1: and sure enough, Coco soon began to hear her quiet,
00:02:07
Speaker 1: snuffily snores. Watching her made Coco begin to yawn gradually,
00:02:14
Speaker 1: his heavy eyes began to close. Just as they did,
00:02:21
Speaker 1: Coco heard a noise, an unusual, far away noise, unlike
00:02:27
Speaker 1: anything he'd heard before. It was distant and muffled, coming
00:02:33
Speaker 1: from somewhere within the forest. Coco glanced at Kira, but
00:02:39
Speaker 1: she was snoring even louder now and looked so very
00:02:44
Speaker 1: cozy he couldn't possibly bring himself to wake her. Instead,
00:02:49
Speaker 1: he put on his soft flannel dressing gown, tied the
00:02:53
Speaker 1: belt in a bow, and shuffled on his slippers before
00:02:57
Speaker 1: tiptoeing through the cabin and now into the moonlit forest.
00:03:03
Speaker 1: The sounds were faint, but with every step he took
00:03:07
Speaker 1: into the moonlit forest. They got a little louder, and
00:03:11
Speaker 1: Coco knew he was headed in the right direction. As always,
00:03:17
Speaker 1: little golden fairy lights were strung between the trees, and
00:03:21
Speaker 1: lanterns shone here and there, lighting his path. As the
00:03:26
Speaker 1: sounds grew louder, Coco began to skip, then hop, then
00:03:33
Speaker 1: run along the forest path until he emerged at a
00:03:37
Speaker 1: clearing filled by the biggest tent he'd ever seen. The
00:03:43
Speaker 1: tent wasn't red and white striped like a normal big top. Instead,
00:03:49
Speaker 1: it was made of navy blue, shiny silk, embellished with
00:03:54
Speaker 1: golden suns and silver moons and stars. A huge sign
00:04:00
Speaker 1: made from twirling letters of twisted metal encrusted with silver
00:04:05
Speaker 1: gemstones read the Night Circus. At the front of the tent,
00:04:12
Speaker 1: a piece of the canopy was pinned back to reveal
00:04:15
Speaker 1: a golden curtain that swayed invitingly in the wind. And
00:04:20
Speaker 1: next to the opening was a ticket booth manned by
00:04:23
Speaker 1: a giraffe in a waistcoat. A beautiful, dreamy song filled
00:04:29
Speaker 1: the air. Her badger, with glitter sprinkled all over his fur,
00:04:35
Speaker 1: was walking on stilts with a gold top hat and
00:04:39
Speaker 1: a bunch of baby raccoons were dodging in and out
00:04:43
Speaker 1: of his long legs, all of them giggling. Her zebra
00:04:49
Speaker 1: in a silver dress was blowing bubbles bigger than Cocoa
00:04:53
Speaker 1: had ever seen and letting them float up into the
00:04:57
Speaker 1: night sky. Blew bubbles of all shapes somehow, even making
00:05:04
Speaker 1: one bubble float within another. Coco watched for a while,
00:05:10
Speaker 1: seeing how their shimmering surfaces turned between silver, pink, and
00:05:17
Speaker 1: green under the circus lights. A frog in a bronze
00:05:22
Speaker 1: all in one was standing stock still, face painted bronze too,
00:05:28
Speaker 1: so that he looked like a statue. Coco walked up
00:05:33
Speaker 1: the deep blue carpet that had been rolled out across
00:05:37
Speaker 1: the forest floor and up to the ticket desk. The
00:05:41
Speaker 1: giraffe beamed down at him and handed him a silver
00:05:45
Speaker 1: ticket that shone like the inside of a chocolate wrapper.
00:05:50
Speaker 1: Coco checked his dressing gown pockets to see if he
00:05:53
Speaker 1: had any coins in there, but his paws came out empty.
00:05:59
Speaker 1: The giraffe grinned. The price of admission is one wish,
00:06:06
Speaker 1: he said. It helps fill the air with magic. Just
00:06:11
Speaker 1: make your wish and you can go inside. Who knows
00:06:17
Speaker 1: it might even come true. Coco screwed his eyes shut
00:06:23
Speaker 1: and made his wish, wishing that Kira would win the
00:06:27
Speaker 1: upcoming spelling bee she'd been talking about all day. When
00:06:32
Speaker 1: he opened his eyes again, the curtain was being held
00:06:36
Speaker 1: open and he was being ushered to step on through
00:06:41
Speaker 1: to the night circus. Coco rubbed his eyes with his
00:06:46
Speaker 1: bald paws, not believing what he saw. No matter how
00:06:51
Speaker 1: much he rubbed his eyes, for the sight stayed the same.
00:06:56
Speaker 1: The night Circus simply was this beautiful dancing colors and
00:07:05
Speaker 1: lights and shapes drew Coco deeper into the circus tent,
00:07:11
Speaker 1: and he slumped into one of their comfy deck chairs,
00:07:15
Speaker 1: circling the edge of the circular stage floor, craning his
00:07:20
Speaker 1: neck back to look at the ceiling. There, monkeys were
00:07:25
Speaker 1: doing a trapez act, swinging one another through the sky
00:07:29
Speaker 1: on rope, swings, flipping, and making graceful movements with their
00:07:35
Speaker 1: arms and tails that made you think they were flying.
00:07:41
Speaker 1: Their fur was decorated with little gems that twinkled in
00:07:45
Speaker 1: the spotlights. Down on the floor in front of him,
00:07:51
Speaker 1: a great gray elephant was standing all four giant feet
00:07:57
Speaker 1: on a silver ball, spreading his large ears for balance.
00:08:03
Speaker 1: Rainbow colored powder paints covered his sides, and he wore
00:08:07
Speaker 1: a soft blue velvet hat on his head. Not far
00:08:13
Speaker 1: to his side, a lion was doing gymnastics, cartwheeling and
00:08:18
Speaker 1: twirling ribbons and dancing across the circle to the dreamy songs.
00:08:25
Speaker 1: A zebra was blowing up midnight blue balloons, twisting them
00:08:31
Speaker 1: into the shapes of different animals and letting them float
00:08:35
Speaker 1: over to members of the crowd. A bear teetered this
00:08:41
Speaker 1: way and that on a unicycle with a big, round
00:08:46
Speaker 1: silver nose pinned over his little brown one. A hippo
00:08:52
Speaker 1: hula hooped, throwing the hoops in the air and catching them,
00:08:58
Speaker 1: and then juggling silver balls while she kept jiggling her
00:09:02
Speaker 1: hips and keeping the hoops spinning. All of the show
00:09:08
Speaker 1: was soundtracked by the most beautiful music played by a
00:09:12
Speaker 1: band of flamingos. In the corner. Mice circled between the
00:09:18
Speaker 1: flamingo's feet, spinning little pirouettes, tiny little soft furred ballerinas
00:09:26
Speaker 1: twirling in time. The whole display was enchanting, and Coco
00:09:33
Speaker 1: found it hard to take his eyes away, so he didn't. Instead,
00:09:39
Speaker 1: he stayed in his seat and watched and watched and
00:09:44
Speaker 1: watched until he eventually grew tired and began to yawn.
00:09:51
Speaker 1: He'd been slowly lulled by the gentle, twinkling colors and
00:09:57
Speaker 1: magical sounds. Towards sleep, Coco began to see some of
00:10:03
Speaker 1: the performers yawn too, in between their acts. That wouldn't do.
00:10:10
Speaker 1: They were all sleepy. The little Koala thought it was
00:10:16
Speaker 1: time everyone settled down and had a rest in the
00:10:20
Speaker 1: long hours before the sun came up, so Coco got up,
00:10:26
Speaker 1: stretched and went to talk to the closest performer, the elephant.
00:10:32
Speaker 1: Good evening, sir, Coco said. The elephant smiled and said
00:10:37
Speaker 1: good evening in return. Aren't you getting tired now? Coco asked.
00:10:45
Speaker 1: The elephant rumpled his eyebrows as if thinking, and then said, actually,
00:10:54
Speaker 1: I think I am. He thought some more, Actually, I
00:11:01
Speaker 1: definitely am. The elephant closed his eyes and yawned, the
00:11:07
Speaker 1: biggest yawn Coco had ever seen. Coco smiled. I thought
00:11:15
Speaker 1: you might be, he said, You've done a really good
00:11:20
Speaker 1: job of entertaining everyone all night, but now I think
00:11:26
Speaker 1: you need a good night's sleep. The elephant grinned and
00:11:32
Speaker 1: looked around him. I think we all need a good
00:11:37
Speaker 1: night's sleep, he said, pointing at a zebra who was
00:11:42
Speaker 1: covering her mouth with her hoof as she yawned. How
00:11:47
Speaker 1: about this, he said, I'll go and get the blankets
00:11:54
Speaker 1: and you tell everybody it's bedtime. Coco smiled, smiled sleepily.
00:12:01
Speaker 1: He thought that was a wonderful idea. Okay, I'm on it,
00:12:08
Speaker 1: he said, good night, elephant. The elephant wished him good
00:12:14
Speaker 1: night and went to find the blankets. Coco headed over
00:12:18
Speaker 1: to the lion. Hey, mister lion, he said, I like
00:12:24
Speaker 1: your mane and your big paws. I think your gymnastics
00:12:28
Speaker 1: are wonderful. But it's late now. Aren't you tired of
00:12:34
Speaker 1: being topsy turvy? I think it might be bedtime. The
00:12:41
Speaker 1: lion purred at the praise and said thank you to Coco,
00:12:46
Speaker 1: before agreeing he didn't want to do any more cartwheels tonight.
00:12:52
Speaker 1: It was time for bed. You go brush your teeth
00:12:56
Speaker 1: and comb your mane. Coco said, I'll tell the others
00:13:02
Speaker 1: good night, lion. The lion grinned the sleepy grin, wished
00:13:08
Speaker 1: Coco good night, and headed off towards the back of
00:13:12
Speaker 1: the tent. Next, Coco went to the hippo, giving her
00:13:17
Speaker 1: plenty of space so he didn't get hit by a
00:13:20
Speaker 1: hula hoop. Hello, miss Hippo, Oko said, you've been wiggling
00:13:28
Speaker 1: those hula hoops for so long. Now, he're super talented,
00:13:35
Speaker 1: he chuckled. It's extra cool when you throw the hoops
00:13:39
Speaker 1: in the air and catch them. But you must be sleepy, right,
00:13:45
Speaker 1: I think it's time for bed now. Miss Hippo let
00:13:50
Speaker 1: her hula hoop twist round once, twice, three times more
00:13:56
Speaker 1: before letting it drop to the ground and raising her
00:14:00
Speaker 1: arms in a ginormous stretch. Thank you, little Koala, she said,
00:14:10
Speaker 1: now you've said it. Oh, she yawns again. It does
00:14:19
Speaker 1: feel like bedtime. Coco smiled and said she should go
00:14:25
Speaker 1: and wash off her face paint and put on her jammies.
00:14:30
Speaker 1: The hippo happily did just that. Good night, Hippo, Coco said. Next,
00:14:38
Speaker 1: Coco called to the Zebras. Hey, Zebras, he said, you've
00:14:44
Speaker 1: done amazing tonight. You make the guests feel so welcome.
00:14:51
Speaker 1: You're all wonderful at your jobs. But I think your
00:14:56
Speaker 1: job is done. Now shall we go to sleep. The
00:15:01
Speaker 1: Zebras let their last balloons float up up up to
00:15:08
Speaker 1: rest on the roof of the tent, and the closest
00:15:12
Speaker 1: one to Coco smiled. I think you're right, Coco, she said,
00:15:19
Speaker 1: everyone's gone home to bed. It's time for us to
00:15:25
Speaker 1: settle down to one by one, they trotted backstage to
00:15:32
Speaker 1: put their pink striped pajamas on, plap their tails, and
00:15:36
Speaker 1: brushed their teeth. Good night, Zebras, said Coco. Then co
00:15:44
Speaker 1: Ko went to talk to the bear. Hey, little dude,
00:15:49
Speaker 1: the bear said, hey, mister bear. Coco replied, are your
00:15:54
Speaker 1: legs tired? The bear stepped off his unicycle and gave
00:16:00
Speaker 1: his legs a wiggle. They are, he said, Sometimes I'm
00:16:07
Speaker 1: having so much fun I don't even notice. Coco grinned.
00:16:14
Speaker 1: That's cool, he said, but you won't be able to
00:16:20
Speaker 1: cycle tomorrow if you don't rest. Mister Bear said that
00:16:25
Speaker 1: he was right, and gave Coco a sleepy high five
00:16:30
Speaker 1: before heading through to have a shower and put on
00:16:34
Speaker 1: his own cozy slippers. Good night, Bear, Coco said. As
00:16:41
Speaker 1: the bear headed backstage, he tucked his unicycle beneath its
00:16:46
Speaker 1: little cover and whispered good night unicycle, quiet enough so
00:16:53
Speaker 1: that no one could hear it. Coco did, though, and
00:16:57
Speaker 1: giggled at the sweet Bear. The song that had been
00:17:02
Speaker 1: floating through the air drifted off, and Coco clapped politely.
00:17:09
Speaker 1: He headed over to where the Flamingo band was and
00:17:13
Speaker 1: told them that maybe it was time to switch to
00:17:17
Speaker 1: lullabies and stop playing for the night. He said, the
00:17:22
Speaker 1: Flamingoes must need their rest. They had been standing on
00:17:28
Speaker 1: one leg all day, after all, that's exhausting. The Flamingoes
00:17:35
Speaker 1: agreed and put down their instruments, ruffling the fur on
00:17:39
Speaker 1: Coco's head as they went by. True to Ko Ko's suggestion,
00:17:45
Speaker 1: they were humming lullabies as they brushed their feathers and
00:17:49
Speaker 1: washed their beaks. As the music calmed, the little tiny
00:17:56
Speaker 1: mouse ballerinas slowed their twirling, relaxing to the flats of
00:18:02
Speaker 1: their feet. They took off their ballet shoes and tutus
00:18:07
Speaker 1: and headed backstage to their matchbox sized dressing rooms, where
00:18:12
Speaker 1: they changed into their soft cotton polka dot onesies. Ready
00:18:18
Speaker 1: to snuggle down. Good night, Flamingos, Coco said, good night mice. Finally,
00:18:29
Speaker 1: the monkeys climbed down from the roof and Coco told
00:18:33
Speaker 1: them it was time for bed. They ate their midnight
00:18:37
Speaker 1: banana snacks and went to scrub their teeth and clean
00:18:41
Speaker 1: their faces, ready to fall asleep. Good night, monkeys, Coco called.
00:18:50
Speaker 1: By this time, the elephant had brought a big pile
00:18:54
Speaker 1: of comfy cushions through to the ring and began laying
00:18:59
Speaker 1: them out with his trunk, putting down blankets for each animal.
00:19:05
Speaker 1: The lion had joined him, carrying an armful of stuffed toys,
00:19:10
Speaker 1: placing one on each pillow. The hippo had turned on
00:19:16
Speaker 1: the night light, which projected stars onto the tense roof.
00:19:22
Speaker 1: They slowly floated across the ceiling and then floated back again,
00:19:29
Speaker 1: white against the dark blue of the canvas. The zebras
00:19:35
Speaker 1: had laid out pillows on top of each cushion to
00:19:39
Speaker 1: make cozy beds for each animal. The elephants was made
00:19:45
Speaker 1: of a whole pile of cushions and pillows since he
00:19:49
Speaker 1: was so large. The bear had passed out silky sleeping masks,
00:19:56
Speaker 1: and the flamingoes had pressed play on the lullaby that
00:20:00
Speaker 1: they always played. When it was time to drift off,
00:20:07
Speaker 1: one by one, each animal climbed into their bed, poured
00:20:13
Speaker 1: up their blankets, and snuggled their stuffed toys in clothes.
00:20:19
Speaker 1: Each had their own special one. Some looked new, like
00:20:24
Speaker 1: the bear's dragon toy, whose wings still shimmered and rustled
00:20:29
Speaker 1: a little bit, as it hadn't been hugged enough to
00:20:32
Speaker 1: go soft. Yet. Others looked ancient, like the littlest zebra's bunny,
00:20:39
Speaker 1: whose whole body was floppy, not just its ears. A
00:20:44
Speaker 1: monkey was clutching a koala toy that looked a little
00:20:48
Speaker 1: like Cocoa, tucking it under her chin as she sucked
00:20:53
Speaker 1: her little thumb and cuddled up. The little mice had
00:20:58
Speaker 1: little toys no bigger than Coco's little finger, Little tiny
00:21:03
Speaker 1: teddies and felt mice and dolls that could fit in
00:21:07
Speaker 1: a thimble. Coco took a seat on the only spare,
00:21:14
Speaker 1: comfy cushion and looked out at the cozy sea of
00:21:18
Speaker 1: circus performers. How sleepy the scene was with all of
00:21:25
Speaker 1: these cuddly, sleepy animals. The night light was glowing softly,
00:21:33
Speaker 1: the stars were aglow, and a lullaby gently drifted from
00:21:38
Speaker 1: the music box in the corner, which had been wound
00:21:42
Speaker 1: up and would play softly all night. Coco recognized the song.
00:21:49
Speaker 1: There was a classical one that his grandpa played at bedtime,
00:21:53
Speaker 1: which had something to do with the moon Clare delon.
00:21:59
Speaker 1: That was what it was called. Coco straightened the blanket
00:22:04
Speaker 1: over one of the monkeys who was laid nearby, tucking
00:22:09
Speaker 1: him in like a burrito. Would you like me to
00:22:15
Speaker 1: tell you a bedtime story? Coco asked the group, between
00:22:21
Speaker 1: yawns and settling sounds. Sleepy, yes's sounded out through the tent. Okay,
00:22:31
Speaker 1: Coco said. He racked his brain for a perfect story.
00:22:36
Speaker 1: Should it be the one about the dinosaurs in the
00:22:39
Speaker 1: castle or about the dragon who was always dancing? He
00:22:46
Speaker 1: went through the story book in his mind, flicking through
00:22:50
Speaker 1: the pages until he came up with the perfect one.
00:22:56
Speaker 1: It goes like this, Coco said. Out in the jungle,
00:23:03
Speaker 1: oh far far away, animals of all kinds are stopping
00:23:10
Speaker 1: for the day. It's time to stop running or swinging
00:23:15
Speaker 1: through trees. It's time for your story, So listen up, please.
00:23:23
Speaker 1: First there's the elephant, the wisest of all. As large
00:23:29
Speaker 1: as he is, his friends are quite small. The elephant
00:23:34
Speaker 1: and the mice are close as can be, because friends
00:23:39
Speaker 1: can be friends, however unlikely. Then there's the lion with
00:23:46
Speaker 1: his lush golden hair. He's king of the jungle, but
00:23:52
Speaker 1: he's kind and fair. He listens to everyone and always
00:23:59
Speaker 1: does his best. He knows that a good leader looks
00:24:04
Speaker 1: after the rest. Next there's the hippo, who's brave and strong.
00:24:11
Speaker 1: She lives life following her own heart song. She knows
00:24:18
Speaker 1: the best person you can be is you, and you
00:24:24
Speaker 1: should be who you are whatever you do. Next come
00:24:29
Speaker 1: the Zebras the stripe behooved Gang, the friendliest friends in
00:24:36
Speaker 1: all of the land. They love one another just as
00:24:40
Speaker 1: they are because they know together they'll go extra far.
00:24:48
Speaker 1: The bear is strong, as strong as can be, because
00:24:53
Speaker 1: he stands up for what he believes. He'd stand up
00:24:58
Speaker 1: for you, and he'd stand up for me because he
00:25:02
Speaker 1: believes everyone should live happily. The Flamingos are creative with
00:25:10
Speaker 1: the music they play. They believe that whatever they think
00:25:16
Speaker 1: they can make, and just like them, you can be
00:25:21
Speaker 1: creative too. Just open your heart and don't worry. Just do.
00:25:29
Speaker 1: The mice are the softest, so quiet and so sweet,
00:25:34
Speaker 1: and they could be missed as they twirl past your feet.
00:25:39
Speaker 1: But although they're quiet, their love just as much because
00:25:45
Speaker 1: each is as special as the loudest of us. Finally,
00:25:51
Speaker 1: the monkeys. They make us laugh. They bring joy to
00:25:56
Speaker 1: the hippo, the lion and giraffe. We love how they're
00:26:01
Speaker 1: silly and how they play, because isn't it nice to
00:26:06
Speaker 1: feel joy every day? Each animals different in so many ways,
00:26:14
Speaker 1: but each has a way to brighten our day. Every
00:26:19
Speaker 1: animal's equal and can shine so bright. So shine your
00:26:25
Speaker 1: light tomorrow, but for now, good night. Coco looked out
00:26:33
Speaker 1: across the tent. Every animal was snoozing in their puddle
00:26:38
Speaker 1: of blankets. They all look peaceful, bellies rising and falling,
00:26:45
Speaker 1: soft smiles on their faces. Coco smiled too, Good night all,
00:26:53
Speaker 1: Coco said. No one responded. Everyone was deep, deep asleep.
00:27:02
Speaker 1: Coco's job here was done. Cocoa yawned, maybe he could
00:27:09
Speaker 1: go to sleep now too. A soft hoot filled the tent,
00:27:16
Speaker 1: too gentle to wake any of the animals. It seemed
00:27:22
Speaker 1: not everyone was asleep yet. Her white feathered owl swooped
00:27:28
Speaker 1: down from the rafters and landed next to Cocoa, hooting
00:27:33
Speaker 1: softly again in greeting good evening. This is owl. Coco yawned,
00:27:44
Speaker 1: it's not bedtime for you. What are you doing here?
00:27:50
Speaker 1: The owl spread a wing around Coco's shoulder and said,
00:27:56
Speaker 1: I wanted to tell you what a card koala you
00:28:01
Speaker 1: are making everyone cozy like that, and I thought you
00:28:10
Speaker 1: might be sleepy too. It's your turn for a bedtime story.
00:28:19
Speaker 1: Coco smiled sleepily. I'd like that, he said. The owl
00:28:28
Speaker 1: brought Coco a blanket and pulled it over him with
00:28:31
Speaker 1: her beak. Coco stroked her soft feathers as he snuggled
00:28:38
Speaker 1: into his cushion and settled into sleep. The owl began
00:28:45
Speaker 1: reading to Coco in her soft voice. This is how
00:28:50
Speaker 1: it went. There is a koala as small as can be,
00:28:58
Speaker 1: whose heart is as warm, has a hot cocoa treat.
00:29:04
Speaker 1: He spreads happiness wherever he goes, from school to his
00:29:10
Speaker 1: home to the night circus show. The little Koala so fuzzy,
00:29:18
Speaker 1: warm and sweet, with dressing down on and slippers on
00:29:24
Speaker 1: his feet. Cares so well for others and makes them
00:29:29
Speaker 1: so calm with his kind, kind words and his Koala charm.
00:29:37
Speaker 1: But it's time now. The koala stops thinking of others
00:29:43
Speaker 1: and nestles down deep in his cozy covers. It's time
00:29:51
Speaker 1: he gets sleepy and begins to count sheep. There he
00:29:57
Speaker 1: goes now, drift getting straight off to sleep. The owl
00:30:05
Speaker 1: smiled at Coco with his eyes closed, and he drifted
00:30:11
Speaker 1: gently off. She picked up the little koala in her
00:30:17
Speaker 1: large wings. And put him on her feathery back. She
00:30:23
Speaker 1: beat her wings as gently as she could and glided
00:30:28
Speaker 1: into the air towards the distant glow of his little
00:30:33
Speaker 1: wooden cabin. Coco drifted in and out of sleep to
00:30:41
Speaker 1: visions of the starry sky as the owl flew him home.
00:30:47
Speaker 1: The forest stretched out like a green carpet beneath them,
00:30:53
Speaker 1: and the warm breeze tickled Coco's cheeks. The face on
00:30:59
Speaker 1: the moon smiled at the little koala and whispered to
00:31:04
Speaker 1: him good night. So sleepy his words were barely audible,
00:31:13
Speaker 1: Coco replied with a good night two. Coco's eyes were
00:31:23
Speaker 1: so heavy he could barely keep them open. As he
00:31:29
Speaker 1: blinked a few final, slow, sleepy blinks, the moon disappeared
00:31:37
Speaker 1: and he began to snore. The next time his eyes opened,
00:31:44
Speaker 1: he was in his bed. The little snores of his
00:31:49
Speaker 1: pandabare sister filled the room once more. Looking lazily at
00:31:58
Speaker 1: the room around him, Coco wondered whether the whole thing
00:32:05
Speaker 1: might just have been a dream. Was the night circus real?
00:32:12
Speaker 1: Had he really been there? He didn't even notice the soft,
00:32:20
Speaker 1: silky owl feather clutched tightly in his paw as He
00:32:26
Speaker 1: tucked it against his cheek, letting his eyes close again
00:32:32
Speaker 1: and dreams take over. Coco visited the night circus. Yes, indeed,
00:32:41
Speaker 1: that's true, but the circus was now sleeping, and so
00:32:52
Speaker 1: are you, Amalia. No one wanting to
