00:00:46

00:00:50

Speaker 1: the brilliant art work we had sent in from a

00:00:52

Speaker 1: listener recently we shared it on our Instagram. So yes,

00:00:56

Speaker 1: we really do read all your messages and reviews wherever

00:01:08

Speaker 1: give us your feedback. And it's for this reason that

00:01:11

Speaker 1: I know hundreds of you will be delighted to hear

00:01:13

Speaker 1: that Susannah has written another story featuring your two favorite felines. Yep,

00:01:19

Speaker 1: the roller skating diner. Cats, Potato and Beans are back,

00:01:24

Speaker 1: and tonight we're going to head back in time with them.

00:01:27

Speaker 1: We're soon going to head off on a time traveling

00:01:29

Speaker 1: and adventure to the wild West when there were cowboys

00:01:33

Speaker 1: roaming the desert and their diner was a saloon owned

00:01:37

Speaker 1: by two cats by the names of Chili and Biscuit. Okay,

00:01:43

Speaker 1: let's get ready for this big trip. And as ever,

00:01:47

Speaker 1: if you fall asleep, don't worry. You can always listen

00:01:50

Speaker 1: again tomorrow. So take a deep breath in and importantly

00:01:57

Speaker 1: lead it out. Close your eyes and imagine a shimmering,

00:02:03

Speaker 1: hot sunny day in the middle of nowhere. There are

00:02:09

Speaker 1: wide open skies and not much more than some rocks,

00:02:14

Speaker 1: and a road snaking off into the distance. Oh, and

00:02:19

Speaker 1: a little building with a tall lit up sign outside it.

00:02:24

Speaker 1: This is Potato and Beans in the Wild Wild West

00:02:29

Speaker 1: by Susannah mcgloughlin. One hot sunny day in the middle

00:02:40

Speaker 1: of nowhere, Potato and Beans were wiping down tables, pouring coffee,

00:02:46

Speaker 1: an expertly carrying wobbly trays stacked high with milkshakes, never

00:02:52

Speaker 1: spilling a thing. Despite their roller scapes. They had been

00:02:56

Speaker 1: a busy morning, and now they were enjoying the relative

00:02:59

Speaker 1: quiet of brunch time, that sleepy moment in between breakfast

00:03:04

Speaker 1: and lunch, where there were a few customers eating eggs

00:03:08

Speaker 1: and reading papers, but no cues snaking from the counter

00:03:12

Speaker 1: or plates of food piling up at the service window.

00:03:16

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans were enjoying the music on the radio

00:03:20

Speaker 1: and cleaning the coffee machine with little raggedy toothbrushes. When

00:03:24

Speaker 1: the diner door swung open and then clicked to a close,

00:03:29

Speaker 1: the familiar slow click clack of cowboy boots announced a

00:03:34

Speaker 1: visitor's arrival. From the door over to the counter, and

00:03:38

Speaker 1: a friendly southern drawl wished the cats a good morning.

00:03:43

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans put down their brushes and gave warm hellos,

00:03:48

Speaker 1: turning to see the face of a gentleman they knew well. Oh,

00:03:53

Speaker 1: Dallas Cassidy, a human who lived on a ranch overlooking

00:03:57

Speaker 1: the canyon, came to the diner once in a while

00:04:01

Speaker 1: to chat with the regulars about the good old days,

00:04:04

Speaker 1: eating cheese and grits and bowls of chili. Dallas always

00:04:10

Speaker 1: had a hat on his head and boots on his feet,

00:04:13

Speaker 1: and a shirt embroidered with stars tucked into his blue

00:04:17

Speaker 1: jeans because Dallas was a cowboy. Other than his trips

00:04:22

Speaker 1: to the diner, he spent his days on the open plains,

00:04:26

Speaker 1: riding horses and herding his cows, and going on adventures

00:04:31

Speaker 1: into the mountains and across the cactus studded desert. Potato

00:04:36

Speaker 1: and Beans thought he was really cool and perhaps a

00:04:41

Speaker 1: little magical. He seemed to have walked out of a

00:04:45

Speaker 1: history book. After all, there weren't many cowboys like him

00:04:50

Speaker 1: left in these parts, and he was the only person

00:04:53

Speaker 1: to park a horse in the parking lot rather than

00:04:56

Speaker 1: a car. Potato and Beans waved to Dallas. His horse,

00:05:00

Speaker 1: now missus Pig, was already tending to him, putting down.

00:05:04

Speaker 1: A large bucket of porridge, and a bowl of apple

00:05:07

Speaker 1: was at his feet. Dallas took his place on one

00:05:11

Speaker 1: of the stools at the counter and ordered a milkshake.

00:05:15

Speaker 1: As Beans began whizzing one up in the blender, Potato

00:05:19

Speaker 1: chatted with Dallas. It's hot today, isn't it, Dallas, she said,

00:05:25

Speaker 1: fanning herself with the menu. Dallas nodded, I haven't known

00:05:32

Speaker 1: as some of this hot since eighteen seventy three. Potato

00:05:38

Speaker 1: murmured her agreement. Dallas always said peculiar things like this,

00:05:44

Speaker 1: but the cats for the most part ignored them, thinking

00:05:47

Speaker 1: it was just his way of joking. He was old, yes,

00:05:52

Speaker 1: but he couldn't be one hundred and fifty. I bet

00:05:56

Speaker 1: they didn't have air conditioning in eighteen seventy three, Potato said.

00:06:02

Speaker 1: Dallas shook his head. Nope, he said, the dinah was

00:06:09

Speaker 1: insufferable in the summer. Potato looked at him quizzically. Which dinah,

00:06:17

Speaker 1: she asked, There is one, Dallas said, although it wasn't

00:06:26

Speaker 1: called a diner then it was called a saloon. An

00:06:32

Speaker 1: it wasn't in the middle of nowhere. There was a

00:06:36

Speaker 1: little town here back then home the cowboys and gold miners.

00:06:43

Speaker 1: Now people live all the way out in the city,

00:06:48

Speaker 1: but the diner is still here. Beans put Dallas's milkshake

00:06:54

Speaker 1: down on the counter and asked, is that really true.

00:07:01

Speaker 1: Dallas nodded, I've seen it, he said. Beans laughed. He

00:07:08

Speaker 1: was just joking again. No, really, Dallas said, I can

00:07:16

Speaker 1: and show you. Potato and Beans looked at one another.

00:07:22

Speaker 1: Beans had one eyebrow raised in an as if sort

00:07:27

Speaker 1: of expression. Potato, on the other hand, had a look

00:07:30

Speaker 1: of awe on her fluffy little face. It seemed she

00:07:34

Speaker 1: believed every word. Go on. Then Bean said, show us.

00:07:42

Speaker 1: Dallas put his foot up on his neighboring stool and

00:07:46

Speaker 1: took the silver star shaped spur on the back of

00:07:49

Speaker 1: his cowboy boot in his fingers. He turned it anticlockwise once,

00:07:55

Speaker 1: twice three times. As the spur turned, the diner began

00:08:02

Speaker 1: to shimmer, as if the air around them was filled

00:08:05

Speaker 1: with magic. Then it began to swirl, and the customers

00:08:11

Speaker 1: began to move backwards, as if they were on a

00:08:14

Speaker 1: rewinding video. Then everything was a blur apart from the

00:08:20

Speaker 1: three of them, until with a pop, they found themselves

00:08:24

Speaker 1: standing in the diner once more, except it wasn't their diner,

00:08:30

Speaker 1: with its checkered floor and leathered booths and neon signs.

00:08:35

Speaker 1: It was their diner, but it wasn't too. The walls

00:08:40

Speaker 1: and floor were made of wood. For one, the glass

00:08:44

Speaker 1: door was replaced with swinging gates, and the tables around

00:08:48

Speaker 1: them were filled with laughing, chatting animals in the strangest

00:08:53

Speaker 1: old timey dress. Most people were dressed like Dallas in

00:08:57

Speaker 1: full cowboy gear, from some of the women who were

00:09:02

Speaker 1: wearing big skirts and feathered hats, and some townsfolk wearing

00:09:06

Speaker 1: old fashioned suits. Behind the counter, now a wooden bar

00:09:12

Speaker 1: covered in old metal bowls and plates and glasses that

00:09:15

Speaker 1: looked like the ones Beans's grandma had in her antique's

00:09:18

Speaker 1: cabinet were two cats who looked not so different to them,

00:09:23

Speaker 1: apart from their frilly aprons and lack of roller skates.

00:09:28

Speaker 1: The cats set their friendly helloes to Dallas in the

00:09:32

Speaker 1: same drawling accent that he speaks in, before turning to

00:09:36

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans. Why howdy, they said, Who are you?

00:09:43

Speaker 1: And where did you get those most peculiar clothes? Beans

00:09:49

Speaker 1: looked down at her stripey jumper apron and pink roller skates. Ah,

00:09:55

Speaker 1: the future, I guess, she said. The two cats giggled, well, welcome,

00:10:02

Speaker 1: weary time travelers to Biscuit and Chilly's saloon. Potato grinned

00:10:10

Speaker 1: she felt like she was looking back in time at herself.

00:10:14

Speaker 1: Beans's mouth was hanging open in awe. They took seats

00:10:20

Speaker 1: at the counter, and Biscuit placed a tall glass of

00:10:23

Speaker 1: creamy milk in front of each of them. Chili put

00:10:27

Speaker 1: down plates of bread and cheese and fruit, which the

00:10:31

Speaker 1: cats tucked into, whilst Dallas, Chilly and Biscuit chatted and

00:10:37

Speaker 1: caught up. Potato and Beans looked around the saloon, pointing

00:10:42

Speaker 1: things out to one another in whispered giggles. That boar

00:10:46

Speaker 1: over there looks like missus Pig, Potato said, but she'd

00:10:51

Speaker 1: never wear that frilly bonnet. There were groups of cows

00:10:56

Speaker 1: playing cards and sheep singing songs, and a band of

00:11:01

Speaker 1: dogs and raccoons in the corner played music on old instruments.

00:11:07

Speaker 1: One strummed a banjo, one scraped up and down on

00:11:11

Speaker 1: a washboard, and another blew into a clay jug. A

00:11:16

Speaker 1: couple of mice were dancing in the small space in

00:11:19

Speaker 1: front of the band, twirling one another around and jiggling

00:11:23

Speaker 1: their feet. Soon Beans began to tune back into Dallice's conversation.

00:11:31

Speaker 1: Chilly was telling him about a new bootique out on

00:11:34

Speaker 1: Main Street. Main Street, Beans asked, where's that biscuit giggled, Why?

00:11:44

Speaker 1: Just outside, Silly, she said, may be we should take

00:11:50

Speaker 1: you shopping. Those wheeled boots look pretty fun, but they

00:11:56

Speaker 1: won't help you out in the dusty desert. Potato and

00:12:01

Speaker 1: Beans immediately said, yes please. If they were spending the

00:12:07

Speaker 1: day in the wild West, they may as well look

00:12:10

Speaker 1: the part. Once their milk had been drunk and nibbles

00:12:15

Speaker 1: had been nibbled. Chili and Biscuit led Potato and Beans

00:12:19

Speaker 1: out onto main street, leaving Dallas in charge of the saloon.

00:12:24

Speaker 1: It was much brighter out on the street, and the

00:12:27

Speaker 1: cats blinked as their eyes got accustomed to the change. Outside,

00:12:33

Speaker 1: it was bustling in place of the long road that

00:12:37

Speaker 1: crossed the empty plains. Outside Potato and Beans's diner was

00:12:42

Speaker 1: a line of wooden buildings and a dusty street. The

00:12:47

Speaker 1: air was golden, with desert dust being kicked up by

00:12:51

Speaker 1: the big, shaggy horses that wished them a good afternoon

00:12:55

Speaker 1: as they headed by. A grizzly bear in a bonnet

00:12:59

Speaker 1: and long dress walked from one store to another, arm

00:13:04

Speaker 1: in arm with a similarly dressed badger. A gopher in

00:13:10

Speaker 1: a waistcoat saunted by looking at a pocket watch. Biscuit

00:13:15

Speaker 1: and Chilly began giving their tour of the tiny town.

00:13:21

Speaker 1: At the top was the general store, a small barn

00:13:25

Speaker 1: like structure, outside of which a frog in dungarees was

00:13:29

Speaker 1: swaying in a rocking chair, chewing on a piece of

00:13:33

Speaker 1: wheat and reading an old, yellowed newspaper. Inside were wooden shelves,

00:13:40

Speaker 1: stocked with bread and cheese and potatoes, ears of corn,

00:13:45

Speaker 1: and packets of sugar and flour. Behind the desk, manned

00:13:51

Speaker 1: by a smiling cow, were huge buckets of milk ready

00:13:55

Speaker 1: to be ladled into glass bottles. Next there was a

00:13:59

Speaker 1: hardware store owned by a horse in a suede waistcoat.

00:14:04

Speaker 1: He sold saddles and harnesses, ropes, and all the bits

00:14:09

Speaker 1: and bobs you might need around the ranch. There were

00:14:13

Speaker 1: little boxes of mixed buttons and screws, and odd little

00:14:17

Speaker 1: pieces of wood and metal whose functions weren't obvious. It

00:14:23

Speaker 1: had everything a horse and cowboy duo would need here

00:14:27

Speaker 1: in the wild wild West. The horse stacking the shells

00:14:32

Speaker 1: greeted his own cowboy with a high five as he

00:14:35

Speaker 1: entered the store and took his place counting coins at

00:14:39

Speaker 1: the cash desk. Next there was a shop selling cowboy booze.

00:14:45

Speaker 1: They were led inside. Biscuit called cooee, and a goat

00:14:51

Speaker 1: appeared from a back room carrying crates of shoes and

00:14:55

Speaker 1: polish and brushes. She called hello to the cats. Hey, chilly, hey, biscuit.

00:15:03

Speaker 1: You don't need new boots already, do you? You girls

00:15:07

Speaker 1: work too hard? The cats shook their heads. Your boots

00:15:14

Speaker 1: are strong enough to last a lifetime, they told the goat,

00:15:19

Speaker 1: introducing potato and beans and showing her their roller skates.

00:15:23

Speaker 1: The Goat's eyes nearly popped out of her head when

00:15:27

Speaker 1: she saw their wheeled shoes. Well, those are simply marvelous,

00:15:35

Speaker 1: she said. I'll have to make some. They'll cause quite

00:15:41

Speaker 1: the stir on the next line dancing a vent at

00:15:45

Speaker 1: the barn. But they are hardly practical day to day

00:15:50

Speaker 1: here in the desert. We'll have to get you some boots.

00:15:56

Speaker 1: The goat introduced herself as Betsy and explain and she

00:16:00

Speaker 1: was the best boot maker for hundreds and hundreds of miles.

00:16:05

Speaker 1: In fact, she was the only boot maker for hundreds

00:16:08

Speaker 1: of miles. But she truly was very good at it.

00:16:13

Speaker 1: Betsy pulled the dust sheets from the shop shells, revealing

00:16:17

Speaker 1: row after row of gleaming cowboy boots. They had them

00:16:22

Speaker 1: in every size, shape and color. Biscuit and Chilli began

00:16:27

Speaker 1: pulling pears from the shells for the cats to try.

00:16:31

Speaker 1: They picked better than the cats could have picked themselves, somehow,

00:16:35

Speaker 1: guessing their sizes and favorite colors. Potato and Beans poured

00:16:41

Speaker 1: on each pair and strutted across the store in them,

00:16:45

Speaker 1: showing them off on the catwalk. Finally they made their selections.

00:16:51

Speaker 1: Beans went for a pale blue pair embroidered with spoons

00:16:56

Speaker 1: and forks and milkshake glasses in gleaming white thread. Potatoes

00:17:02

Speaker 1: were creamy white and decorated with brown thread in shapes

00:17:06

Speaker 1: of stars and moons and clouds. She said the color

00:17:11

Speaker 1: combination reminded her of hot chocolate and cream. Thanking Betsy

00:17:17

Speaker 1: and their cowboy counterparts, Biscuit and Chilly. The cats walked

00:17:22

Speaker 1: out into the street, strutting their stuff in their new shoes.

00:17:28

Speaker 1: We are going over the street now, Chili said to

00:17:33

Speaker 1: the hat sharp, if you don't want to burn your

00:17:37

Speaker 1: ears in this sun. The group headed into the hat shop,

00:17:42

Speaker 1: an elegant cream cabin with green painted shutters. They were

00:17:47

Speaker 1: greeted by a whirlwind of a hare named Hattie, who

00:17:51

Speaker 1: was picking out hats and putting them on their heads

00:17:54

Speaker 1: before they could even introduce themselves, announcing that they looked darn,

00:17:59

Speaker 1: root and toot. She immediately picked out a wide, sandy

00:18:04

Speaker 1: colored cowboy hat for Beans, which Beans was ecstatic about,

00:18:08

Speaker 1: but had picked a flowery bonnet for Potato. Potato eyed

00:18:13

Speaker 1: Beans's hat. Jealously and politely declared that she wanted to

00:18:18

Speaker 1: be a cowboy too. Hattie obliged and picked her out

00:18:23

Speaker 1: a turquoise cowboy hat, tied with a string around the

00:18:27

Speaker 1: chin and decorated with little gemstones. That's more like it,

00:18:33

Speaker 1: Potato said, looking at her reflection approvingly. They paid for

00:18:38

Speaker 1: their hats and headed back out onto main street. The

00:18:44

Speaker 1: four cats strolled by the sheriff's office, where an opossum sheriff,

00:18:49

Speaker 1: who looked suspiciously similar to the sheriff of Potato and

00:18:53

Speaker 1: Beans knew well, was polishing his badge. They passed the

00:18:58

Speaker 1: town hall and church, and a schoolhouse where a gaggle

00:19:03

Speaker 1: of kittens and puppies and baby raccoons and badgers and

00:19:07

Speaker 1: gophers were sitting on a carpet listening to the words

00:19:10

Speaker 1: of their Mountain Lion teacher, mister Boone. At the end

00:19:16

Speaker 1: of the street, between a shop full of dusty old

00:19:19

Speaker 1: furniture and the dance hall are the stables where horses

00:19:24

Speaker 1: are relaxing in the shade, chatting and playing games around

00:19:28

Speaker 1: glasses of lemonade. You know what every cowboy needs, biscuit grins,

00:19:37

Speaker 1: A trust is steed. You want to see if one

00:19:41

Speaker 1: of the horses will take you on a ride. The

00:19:44

Speaker 1: cat's nod. Chilli claps her paws. Let's go see, she says,

00:19:52

Speaker 1: trotting over to the stable doors excitedly. A group of

00:19:57

Speaker 1: horses wave them over as they arrive, greeting the cats

00:20:01

Speaker 1: with friendly howdies. We would just hurry it out for

00:20:06

Speaker 1: a ride, if you'd like to come along, said the

00:20:10

Speaker 1: biggest horse, a silky chestnut color with a toothy smile.

00:20:15

Speaker 1: The cats grinned and nodded. He rode with Biscuit, and

00:20:20

Speaker 1: a slightly smaller cream colored horse rode with Chili. A friendly,

00:20:26

Speaker 1: shiny maned pony named Peach rode with Potato, and a

00:20:30

Speaker 1: splodgy gray horse named Bow took Beans. The cats took

00:20:36

Speaker 1: a while getting their boots into the stirrups and hoisting

00:20:39

Speaker 1: themselves up on the horse's back. They and the horses

00:20:43

Speaker 1: were in fits of giggles. When it was Potato's turn,

00:20:47

Speaker 1: she could hardly get herself off the ground. In the end,

00:20:52

Speaker 1: Peach sunk to the floor so that Potato had less

00:20:56

Speaker 1: distance to climb, and Beans pushed her on by the

00:21:01

Speaker 1: When the cats were finally sitting in their saddles, the

00:21:05

Speaker 1: four cowboys and steeds rode out into the desert. The

00:21:11

Speaker 1: wind blew through their fur, and the cats meowed happily

00:21:16

Speaker 1: as they headed out into the sunny desert, past cacti

00:21:21

Speaker 1: and boulders, up hills and down into valleys. Before long,

00:21:28

Speaker 1: they found themselves no longer in view of town. If

00:21:33

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans didn't know they'd traveled back in time,

00:21:37

Speaker 1: they'd have thought they were in the present day. Not

00:21:41

Speaker 1: much had changed. The desert was as beautiful in the

00:21:45

Speaker 1: past as it was in the future. Soon they came

00:21:50

Speaker 1: up to the edge of a ranch where a cluster

00:21:53

Speaker 1: of cows were laying in a field, enjoying the peace

00:21:57

Speaker 1: and quiet during on wheat and chatting languidly with their friends.

00:22:04

Speaker 1: Several of them waved a friendly hello in the cowboy

00:22:07

Speaker 1: and horses direction. A group of young cows trotted over

00:22:13

Speaker 1: to them, grinning excitedly. Do you guys want to play?

00:22:19

Speaker 1: The youngest asked, who could play lassu? The horses nodded

00:22:25

Speaker 1: their large heads. It seemed they played this often. Peach

00:22:29

Speaker 1: called back to Potato and Beans, asking them if they

00:22:33

Speaker 1: wanted to play. The cats said yes. They never turned

00:22:37

Speaker 1: down an invitation to play Peach and Bow told them

00:22:42

Speaker 1: the rules. They had to take the reeled up rope

00:22:46

Speaker 1: from their saddle bag and tie it into a lassou.

00:22:50

Speaker 1: Then the cows would run rampant and the cowboys would

00:22:55

Speaker 1: ride the horses to try and catch them with the lasou.

00:22:59

Speaker 1: Then'd swap and the cows would try lassoo the cowboys,

00:23:04

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans giggled. This sounded fun. They prepared their lassoos,

00:23:12

Speaker 1: tying them exactly how Biscuit and Chili showed them, and

00:23:16

Speaker 1: waited for the game to begin. The cows finished their stretches,

00:23:22

Speaker 1: and once everyone was ready, an old cow on the

00:23:26

Speaker 1: sidelines counted them in three, two, one go. The cows

00:23:35

Speaker 1: began running this way and that, weaving between rocks and

00:23:39

Speaker 1: sprinting past the horses. The horses were hot on their tails,

00:23:44

Speaker 1: switching direction just like that, tails swishing from side to side.

00:23:51

Speaker 1: The cows weren't easy to catch. Potato and Beans looked

00:23:55

Speaker 1: at each other, laughing, they were clinging onto the horses.

00:24:00

Speaker 1: Is not to fall off, How could they lassoue? Biscuit

00:24:05

Speaker 1: and Chili eventually caught their cows and helped Potato and

00:24:09

Speaker 1: Beans chase theirs, thinking she was close enough to catch

00:24:14

Speaker 1: her cow. Potato began to wave her lassoo around her

00:24:18

Speaker 1: head again and again until she became completely tangled up

00:24:23

Speaker 1: in it. Beans managed to throw hers and thought she'd

00:24:28

Speaker 1: caught her cow, only to see it caught around the

00:24:31

Speaker 1: neck of a large prickly cactus. Eventually they stopped, and

00:24:37

Speaker 1: the remaining two cows were pronounced champions, as were Biscuit

00:24:42

Speaker 1: and Chili for catching a cow each. Potato and Beans clapped.

00:24:48

Speaker 1: When it was the cowboys turn to get chased. They

00:24:51

Speaker 1: were rounded up within five minutes. The cows had obviously

00:24:55

Speaker 1: been practicing. When the sun began to lower in the

00:24:59

Speaker 1: sk the cowboys and their steeds bade goodbye to the cows,

00:25:05

Speaker 1: who flopped onto their hay bales and prepared for a snooze.

00:25:10

Speaker 1: The four cats rode their horses back to town and

00:25:14

Speaker 1: left them starting a game of snap back at the stables.

00:25:19

Speaker 1: They said a sincere thank you for the journey before

00:25:23

Speaker 1: heading back to Biscuit and Chili saloon. Dallas was still

00:25:28

Speaker 1: behind the counter, pouring drinks and chatting with the animals.

00:25:34

Speaker 1: How did you enjoy your day in the wild West,

00:25:39

Speaker 1: He asked Potato and Beans. They gave him sleepy smiles,

00:25:44

Speaker 1: and told him that they absolutely loved it. Dallas grinned

00:25:51

Speaker 1: he could see they were exhausted from their adventure and

00:25:55

Speaker 1: asked if it might be time to go home. The

00:25:59

Speaker 1: two cats nodded. They wrapped Biscuit and Chilly and hugs

00:26:05

Speaker 1: and thanked them for everything. Asking if they might visit

00:26:09

Speaker 1: them again in the future or they supposed in the past,

00:26:14

Speaker 1: the two cats said, of course, and promised they'd come

00:26:18

Speaker 1: and visit Potato and Beans's diner one day too. Then

00:26:23

Speaker 1: Dallas turned the spur on his boot clockwise one, two,

00:26:29

Speaker 1: three times, and the world began to move a little

00:26:33

Speaker 1: quicker around them. Everything turned to a blur before suddenly,

00:26:40

Speaker 1: with their gentle pop, they were home. The diner was

00:26:45

Speaker 1: dark now, and Missus Pig grinned at them from behind

00:26:49

Speaker 1: the counter, complimenting their hats and boots. She asked them

00:26:55

Speaker 1: if they had had a fun adventure, and the cats

00:26:58

Speaker 1: promised they would tell her and Ozzie all about it

00:27:02

Speaker 1: in the morning. For now they had to go to bed.

00:27:08

Speaker 1: Wishing good night to Missus Pig and Dallas, the sleepy

00:27:12

Speaker 1: cats climbed the stairs to their apartment. They brushed their

00:27:17

Speaker 1: little white teeth and each had a warm, bubbly bath.

00:27:23

Speaker 1: They took turns to make their furs soft and fluffy

00:27:27

Speaker 1: with the hair dryer before settling into their beds in

00:27:31

Speaker 1: their favorite pajamas. Potato Bean said, you can't sleep in

00:27:39

Speaker 1: your cowboy hat. It won't be comfy at all. Potato

00:27:45

Speaker 1: sighed and took off her hat, putting it on her

00:27:49

Speaker 1: side table so she could easily reach it in the morning.

00:27:54

Speaker 1: Thank you for coming on an adventure with me, Bean said.

00:28:00

Speaker 1: Potato told her that she hoped they could go on

00:28:03

Speaker 1: a hundred more adventures together, and Beans agreed. Good night.

00:28:11

Speaker 1: Potato Bean said, good night, Beans, Potato said. Outside their window,

00:28:21

Speaker 1: a million twinkling stars and a full moon shone down

00:28:26

Speaker 1: on the desert and the cozy diner where once stood

00:28:31

Speaker 1: an old saloon and a town full of cowboys, Now

00:28:37

Speaker 1: it was home to Potato and Beans and welcomed thousands

00:28:42

Speaker 1: of passers by every day, although just over the canyon

00:28:49

Speaker 1: there still lived one last cowboy by the name of Dallas.

00:28:57

Speaker 1: Potato and Beans drifted into sea, dreaming of riding horses

00:29:03

Speaker 1: through the stars, chasing cows amongst the galaxies.
