[00:00:10] Hello and welcome back to Koala Moon, your podcast of original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime a dream.
[00:00:20] The Coco Clubhouse doors are creaking open tonight for three of you.
[00:00:25] First up is a very special birthday boy who listens each evening as he gets ready for bed.
[00:00:30] Yes, it's you, James, in Omakura, New Zealand. Hi, we're your birthday gift.
[00:00:36] And welcome also to you, Brady and Sayana, I hope I said it right, from Sydney.
[00:00:43] Thanks for signing up. Now just hit follow and each new episode will magically download to your device.
[00:00:50] Now then, it's bedtime. But I don't know about you, I'm wide awake.
[00:00:56] Got a brain full of thoughts and ideas and plans. And it's just so hard to get sleepy, isn't it?
[00:01:06] Sometimes the best thing to do is to stop thinking and just start relaxing your body.
[00:01:13] Hmm. Let's do it together. Breathe in.
[00:01:18] And as you breathe out, try to clear your mind and just work on relaxing one part of your body at a time, starting with your feet.
[00:01:25] Breathe in.
[00:01:27] Breathe in.
[00:01:28] And out.
[00:01:31] Relax your feet and your legs.
[00:01:34] Your hips.
[00:01:37] Soften your tummy.
[00:01:41] Let your chest rise and fall as you breathe.
[00:01:48] Now loosen off your shoulders.
[00:01:51] And your arms.
[00:01:54] Then your hands.
[00:01:56] Breathe.
[00:01:57] Breathe.
[00:01:59] Soften your neck.
[00:02:03] Let your head go heavy.
[00:02:05] Really heavy.
[00:02:07] Lovely.
[00:02:10] And just keep breathing.
[00:02:13] Until every single part of your body's relaxed.
[00:02:18] There we go.
[00:02:19] Snuggle down a little bit more.
[00:02:21] And then come with me.
[00:02:22] We're going to meet Potato and Beans, our diner cat pals.
[00:02:26] It's a sleepy Sunday.
[00:02:28] And their inquisitive little friend, Chimpkin, remember her?
[00:02:33] She needs help finding a cover story for her brand new newspaper.
[00:02:37] So Potato and Beans have decided to make news for her by committing to make one of their dreams come true.
[00:02:45] They're going to break a world record by making the biggest sandwich ever created.
[00:02:51] This is Potato and Beans Lazy Day Feast by Susanna McLaughlin.
[00:03:04] It was a sleepy Sunday in the middle of nowhere.
[00:03:09] And the air was still.
[00:03:12] If you stood out on the open plains and listened, you'd hear nothing but silence.
[00:03:19] No cars vrooming up and down the highway.
[00:03:22] No cowboys rounding up their cattle.
[00:03:25] No sheep bleating or cats meowing.
[00:03:29] Or dogs barking.
[00:03:31] Just pure peace.
[00:03:35] In the roadside roller skating diner, things were equally quiet.
[00:03:40] Unusually quiet.
[00:03:42] There weren't many customers bustling about.
[00:03:45] Just an animal or two sipping milkshakes and gazing dreamily out of the windows across the valley.
[00:03:53] Mrs. Pick had finished her food prep.
[00:03:56] An Aussie, the octopus, had washed and dried every last dish.
[00:04:00] And they were lazing in a booth with the diner's owners.
[00:04:04] Two furry cats by the names of Potato and Beans.
[00:04:08] It was the definition of a lazy day.
[00:04:13] The bell above the door tinkled and in walked a little chicken.
[00:04:18] With round bottle lens glasses and a tie-dye t-shirt, a notepad and pen dangling from a cord around her neck.
[00:04:27] Being a journalist, she always had her pad in reaching distance.
[00:04:33] It was very important to always be ready to capture a story.
[00:04:38] Hey, Chimpkin, Bean said, waggling a paw in the little chook's direction.
[00:04:45] The rest of the table waved paw, trotter and tentacle and said hello too.
[00:04:52] Hey guys, Chimpkin said, pulling up a stool and flopping down onto it.
[00:04:59] It's quiet today, isn't it?
[00:05:03] I didn't see a soul on my ride over here.
[00:05:07] It seems everyone's resting today.
[00:05:11] Even the cacti look floppy.
[00:05:14] And I swear, I heard one snoring.
[00:05:20] It's a lazy day, Potato said, illustrating her point with a big sleepy yawn that made her whiskers twitch.
[00:05:36] That's all well and good, Chimpkin said.
[00:05:40] But I have to print the Middle of Nowhere Gazette on Tuesday.
[00:05:45] And I don't have a front page story yet.
[00:05:48] I hoped I could find one here, but she looked left and right.
[00:05:55] Nobody's doing much of anything.
[00:06:00] I'm sorry, Chimpkin, Bean said.
[00:06:03] There's definitely nothing happening here.
[00:06:07] Potato and I were just wondering if we should take a cat nap.
[00:06:13] Chimpkin looked worried.
[00:06:14] And Bean's the kind cat that she is quickly backtracked.
[00:06:19] But it's okay.
[00:06:21] Maybe we can make a story for you.
[00:06:24] We must have something newsworthy to tell you.
[00:06:28] Does anyone have any ideas?
[00:06:32] Mrs. Pig's face was blank.
[00:06:35] Potato shrugged.
[00:06:37] The animals ummed and aahed for a while, trying to come up with something good.
[00:06:42] The best they had was Ozzy's suggestion.
[00:06:46] A comparison article about the best dishwashing detergent.
[00:06:51] But the others quickly said that wasn't a front page piece.
[00:06:56] I need big news, Chimpkin said.
[00:07:01] Like an award being won.
[00:07:04] Or an idea being had.
[00:07:07] Or a record being broken.
[00:07:11] Something like that.
[00:07:13] Mrs. Pig wiggled her snout.
[00:07:17] Hmm.
[00:07:18] Well, I haven't won any awards recently, she said.
[00:07:23] Hmm.
[00:07:25] And I haven't had any ideas, Ozzy added.
[00:07:29] Potato and Bean's looked at each other.
[00:07:33] A mysterious glint in their eyes.
[00:07:38] Actually, though, Bean said.
[00:07:41] We could maybe break a record.
[00:07:46] Potato chuckled conspiratorially.
[00:07:50] She knew exactly what Bean's was talking about.
[00:07:52] We've had this dream for a while, Potato said.
[00:07:56] We talk about it when we swap secrets at bedtime.
[00:08:00] We've always wanted to break a world record.
[00:08:05] The world record for the biggest sandwich ever made.
[00:08:10] Mrs. Pig gasped.
[00:08:13] Yes!
[00:08:14] She said.
[00:08:15] Yes!
[00:08:16] We have to do it.
[00:08:18] We must.
[00:08:19] It's the best idea anyone's had.
[00:08:23] Ever!
[00:08:24] Chimpkin nodded.
[00:08:27] Beans grinned.
[00:08:28] Well, that's what we'll do then, she said.
[00:08:33] The catnaps can wait.
[00:08:36] With that, Mrs. Pig ran off into the kitchen, calling over her shoulder that she'd call the
[00:08:43] world records office in the nearest town and have them send over someone immediately.
[00:08:49] Chimpkin smiled with satisfaction.
[00:08:53] Now that's a front page story, she said.
[00:08:58] Chimpkin slapped her notebook down on the table.
[00:09:01] First things first, she said.
[00:09:05] To make a giant sandwich, we need a giant plan.
[00:09:11] She pulled a piece of paper from the back of her notebook and unfolded it until it covered
[00:09:17] almost the whole table.
[00:09:18] She drew a long sausage-shaped sandwich across the middle of the page.
[00:09:24] Potato pointed to it and addressed the first problem.
[00:09:29] They didn't have a baguette that long.
[00:09:32] No one did.
[00:09:35] Beans had a recollection of a town making a ginormous baguette once in France.
[00:09:41] But France was far, far away.
[00:09:46] Chimpkin just smiled and put her wing around the cat's shoulder.
[00:09:50] All we need is a plan.
[00:09:53] We can achieve anything we put our minds to, right?
[00:09:58] Potato nodded.
[00:10:00] What we need, Beans said, is a whole lot of flour.
[00:10:06] The saloon door to the kitchen swung open as Mrs. Pig waltzed back in, smiling like she'd
[00:10:13] just won the lottery.
[00:10:15] Already arranged, she said.
[00:10:19] Just then there was a toot outside the diner.
[00:10:23] Potato and Beans rushed over to the windows and peered through, looking along the long road
[00:10:28] that led back through the valley.
[00:10:31] Trundling in their direction was a tractor, shining green in the hot valley sun.
[00:10:39] Beans cracked the window and waved her paw at the driver.
[00:10:43] Potato took off her bandana and waved it like a handkerchief.
[00:10:48] The tractor chugged its way along the road, pulling into the car park and stopping with
[00:10:55] what sounded like a sigh.
[00:10:58] Its trailer was full with towers of Hessian sacks, marked with big brown letters that said,
[00:11:06] flour.
[00:11:08] A plump hedgehog in baggy denim dungarees, chewing on a piece of golden wheat, leapt down from the
[00:11:15] seat with a howdy.
[00:11:17] The cats, Ozzie and Mrs. Pig gathered in the parking lot, sharing their own chorus of howdies.
[00:11:26] It was Farmer Gus who grew crops over the canyon.
[00:11:31] The rootin' tootin' farmer explained in that funny sing-song way of his that he'd just been
[00:11:37] taking a load of flour to the farmer's market and was just ten minutes down the road when
[00:11:43] he got Mrs. Pig's phone call.
[00:11:45] It was their lucky day, he said.
[00:11:49] Beans high-fived Farmer Gus and told him he was their hero.
[00:11:54] He was often saving the day when they needed more tomatoes or apples for the pies or milk
[00:12:02] for the shakes.
[00:12:03] The group made a line from the tractor into the diner and began passing the sacks of flour
[00:12:10] one to the next from the trailer to the kitchen.
[00:12:15] With each throw and catch, little clouds of white poofed into the air.
[00:12:21] Soon, potato and beans had flour all over their fur and they were laughing and blowing
[00:12:28] poofs of the stuff at each other until it looked like it had been snowing where they stood.
[00:12:35] Ozzie rolled his eyes as he skated over and mopped around their feet with sponges and squeezed
[00:12:42] soapy water on their heads to make them squeal.
[00:12:46] Once the whole trailer was unloaded, the hedgehog tipped his straw hat at them and hopped back
[00:12:52] on his tractor.
[00:12:54] Before he left, Beans made sure to shout up to him and invite him back to the diner that night
[00:13:00] to get his share of the world's biggest sandwich.
[00:13:05] Gus cheered and told Beans he wouldn't miss it for the world.
[00:13:09] Then, he fired up the tractor and rumbled off, waving over his shoulder.
[00:13:17] In the kitchen, Mrs. Pig was adding up the sacks of flour and comparing measurements,
[00:13:23] planning how to make a truckload of dough all at once.
[00:13:28] While she did her maths, Potato and Beans found every mixing bowl, salad bowl, soup bowl
[00:13:36] and cereal bowl they could, and lined them up on the surfaces.
[00:13:40] Ozzie even washed up an old fish bowl he found in the shed and added that to the line-up.
[00:13:47] They needed all the bowls they could get.
[00:13:51] Then, they ladled flour into each bowl, tray, box and anything they could find.
[00:13:58] Mrs. Pig whirled around on her skates, sprinkling yeast and salt and pouring the perfect amount
[00:14:07] of water into the flour, until all that was left was to mix it all up.
[00:14:14] Potato and Beans, Ozzie, Mrs. Pig and Chimpkin circled the room, mixing bowl after bowl of dough.
[00:14:23] They kneaded and stretched the dough, adding an extra sprinkle of flour here or drop of water there,
[00:14:32] kneading and kneading, until their paws, trotters and wings couldn't knead anymore.
[00:14:39] As they did, they sang a song that they made up about the biggest sandwich in the world.
[00:14:47] It wasn't very good, really, but it made them all laugh.
[00:14:51] An Ozzie came up with some lyrics so funny that Potato had tears rolling down her cheeks.
[00:14:58] When all of the dough had been mixed, they started to put it together in a big pile on the counter.
[00:15:07] The eventual ball of dough was so big you could get lost inside it.
[00:15:12] It reached the roof and sprawled all the way across the kitchen.
[00:15:19] Now, said Mrs. Pig, we roll.
[00:15:24] She handed each of her helpers a rolling pin, and they set about turning the lump of dough
[00:15:31] into a long baguette shape that snaked around the kitchen several times.
[00:15:38] Everywhere you looked, there was bread dough.
[00:15:43] Bean sat in the middle of it all, scratching her chin.
[00:15:48] Mrs. Pig, she said.
[00:15:52] How on earth are we going to bake it?
[00:15:57] Mrs. Pig scratched her chin too.
[00:16:01] You know what, Beans?
[00:16:03] She said.
[00:16:04] I hadn't really thought that far.
[00:16:08] The team thought and thought, and the whole thing began to seem impossible.
[00:16:16] Potato had the idea of blasting the bread with a blowtorch.
[00:16:22] But Mrs. Pig said not only was it dangerous, but it would make the bread dry and crumbly.
[00:16:30] Then, Aussie suggested hair dryers.
[00:16:34] But Mrs. Pig said no, they wouldn't cook the bread.
[00:16:39] Finally, the team went to inspect the bread oven, and the answer became apparent.
[00:16:46] The oven had two doors, one on the front, one on the back.
[00:16:52] They would have to feed the baguette into the oven, through one door and out the other,
[00:16:58] and gradually cook it bit by bit.
[00:17:02] When the bread cooked, it would become crusty and unbendable.
[00:17:07] So someone would have to wait outside the window and carry the bread through
[00:17:12] until the whole thing was cooked and settled outside,
[00:17:17] stretching from the diner into the distance.
[00:17:20] It was a perfect plan.
[00:17:24] Potato and beans took stacks of napkins and went outside to lay down a blanket of the things
[00:17:31] to make the landing pad for the eventual sandwich.
[00:17:37] Aussie handed out oven mitts, and Mrs. Pig stoked up the oven.
[00:17:42] Just like that, they were ready.
[00:17:47] Aussie and Chimpkin took the back of the line.
[00:17:50] Feeding the dough into the oven.
[00:17:53] Mrs. Pig stood at the oven, giving orders, and letting them know when the bread was cooked,
[00:17:58] and ready to pass through, and potato and beans were either side of the window,
[00:18:04] ready to pass the cooked side of the baguette out into the world.
[00:18:08] They heaved and hoed and passed the baguette down its assembly line,
[00:18:16] until the whole thing was cooked.
[00:18:19] It was unbelievably long.
[00:18:23] When you stood at one end, you could barely see where it ended.
[00:18:28] When it was filled, the sandwich would feed a whole village.
[00:18:33] Potato and beans gave each other an excited hug and bounced up and down.
[00:18:39] Their dream was coming true.
[00:18:43] Chimpkin snapped pictures on her camera,
[00:18:46] and potato and beans posed thumbs up next to the record-breaking loaf.
[00:18:53] As they drank iced tea and admired their hard work,
[00:18:57] the old blue post fan appeared on the horizon, coming their way.
[00:19:04] Wonderful, Mrs. Pig said.
[00:19:07] Our order's here.
[00:19:10] What order?
[00:19:11] Potato asked.
[00:19:13] Mrs. Pig smiled a cheeky smile.
[00:19:17] Well, she said.
[00:19:20] A sandwich isn't a sandwich, in my opinion, without cheese.
[00:19:27] So I took the liberty of ordering a very large,
[00:19:33] very expensive wheel of cheese for the occasion.
[00:19:39] Potato and beans giggled.
[00:19:42] Mrs. Pig would take any opportunity to get them a tasty treat.
[00:19:48] After Zara, the postdoc, had climbed out of the van
[00:19:52] and complimented their enormous baguette,
[00:19:55] she opened the boot and hauled out a huge wheel of cheese,
[00:20:00] the size of a tractor tire.
[00:20:03] It was tied up with string,
[00:20:04] and had a little label stuck to the front, reading,
[00:20:08] Mrs. Missy Pig at Potato and Beans Diner.
[00:20:14] Love, Monsieur Cam M Bear.
[00:20:19] Mrs. Pig thanked Zara,
[00:20:21] and heaved the huge wheel of cheese from her paws,
[00:20:25] waddling with the weight of it as she took it into the cool kitchen,
[00:20:28] making sure she invited Zara back that evening for the unveiling of the world's largest hoagie.
[00:20:38] The cats, octopus, and chicken followed her into the diner.
[00:20:44] With expert precision, Mrs. Pig sliced the cheese until she had a huge pile of the stuff.
[00:20:54] Potato was the first to take a sample, as usual,
[00:20:58] poking her little paw into the pile and snaffling away a slice of cheese.
[00:21:03] Then everyone else took one too, and they all chewed thoughtfully.
[00:21:10] Ozzy broke the silence.
[00:21:13] What else are we going to put on the hoagie?
[00:21:16] He asked.
[00:21:18] Everyone spoke at once, suggesting all sorts of toppings.
[00:21:23] Peanut butter, jelly, pickles, fried eggs, bananas, pastrami, pineapple.
[00:21:33] Mrs. Pig had to hush them all to quiet.
[00:21:36] If we put all of that on a sandwich, it would taste terrible, she said.
[00:21:45] I have an idea, though.
[00:21:50] The cats smiled at one another.
[00:21:53] Mrs. Pig always knew what was best where sandwiches were concerned.
[00:21:58] We should do a giant sloppy joe, she said.
[00:22:04] You know, with chili in it, we can put it on the cheese so it all goes melty.
[00:22:10] And the best part, I can use my magic pot.
[00:22:16] Potato's mouth began to water.
[00:22:19] She knew that anything cooked in the magic pot would be absolutely perfect.
[00:22:27] And so they got to work, chopping onions and garlic,
[00:22:32] mixing spices and squishing tomatoes.
[00:22:36] Mrs. Pig cooked it all in her magical pot.
[00:22:40] A look of concentration on her face.
[00:22:44] Finally, it was done.
[00:22:47] A huge pot of steaming chili stood on the stove, and it smelled delicious.
[00:22:56] Shall I peel more onions?
[00:22:58] Beans asked.
[00:23:00] How many more batches do we need?
[00:23:02] That will fill barely a tenth of the sandwich, right?
[00:23:08] Mrs. Pig smiled knowingly.
[00:23:12] This will be enough.
[00:23:15] Start calling people over.
[00:23:17] We're ready.
[00:23:19] Beans sent a worried look towards Potato,
[00:23:23] who shrugged and raised her eyebrows.
[00:23:25] They didn't have nearly enough to fill that ginormous baguette.
[00:23:30] What was Mrs. Pig thinking?
[00:23:34] The cats trusted their chef with all of their heart.
[00:23:38] So they just shrugged and did as she said, sending messages to their friends,
[00:23:44] and watching from the window as Mrs. Pig began spooning chili into the sandwich.
[00:23:50] She filled a tenth of the sandwich.
[00:23:54] Then a fifth.
[00:23:56] Then half.
[00:23:58] Potato and Beans went and joined Mrs. Pig outside.
[00:24:02] Somehow the pot was still full.
[00:24:05] And eventually, so was the sandwich.
[00:24:08] How did you do that?
[00:24:13] Potato asked, eyes wide open.
[00:24:17] How did you fill this whole sandwich with just one pot of chili?
[00:24:24] Mrs. Pig grinned.
[00:24:27] It's not just any pot, remember?
[00:24:32] She said.
[00:24:33] It's my magic pot.
[00:24:36] Something tells me he's gonna stay hot too.
[00:24:43] Magic.
[00:24:44] The cats were amazed.
[00:24:47] A flash went off as Chimpkin snapped their picture.
[00:24:52] It's showtime, the chicken said.
[00:24:56] Over the next half hour, animals began to arrive at the diner.
[00:25:02] There was Zara and Farmer Gus.
[00:25:05] Barry, the bulldog.
[00:25:07] And Sandy, the skunk.
[00:25:10] Barbara, the sheep.
[00:25:12] Turnip, the pot-bellied pig.
[00:25:15] Tallulah, sparkles.
[00:25:17] And Detective Hashbrown.
[00:25:19] There was Sheriff, a possum.
[00:25:21] And Dallas, the cowboy.
[00:25:23] And that's to name a few.
[00:25:25] Last of all, in a crab's cab, arrived the world record officiant, a stern-looking mole in a business suit.
[00:25:37] The mole shook Potato and Beans' paws and got straight down to business.
[00:25:43] To know if they'd broken the world record, he needed to measure the sandwich.
[00:25:50] He opened his briefcase and pulled out the world's largest measuring tape.
[00:25:56] He laid one end at the start of the sandwich and rolled it down, down, down into the distance, where the sandwich ended.
[00:26:08] There he shouted something, but it was too far away for anyone to hear him.
[00:26:13] So, Bubba the crab hopped into his cab and drove down the road to pick the mole up and bring him back.
[00:26:23] The mole's face was hard to read.
[00:26:27] He was so serious looking.
[00:26:29] But then, he cracked a little smile.
[00:26:33] And the cats knew they'd done it.
[00:26:36] They'd broken the world record.
[00:26:39] There were hugs and cheers all around as everybody celebrated this huge achievement.
[00:26:47] Glasses of iced tea were raised and milkshakes clinked.
[00:26:52] And the cats even did a little dance.
[00:26:56] The mole gave them an official-looking certificate and another handshake before hopping back into his cab on the way back to the big city,
[00:27:06] where he'd put their names in the world record book.
[00:27:11] With that out of the way, it was time to eat.
[00:27:15] Everybody took a huge slice of sandwich and ate and ate, until there were only crumbs left.
[00:27:23] And not only was it the biggest sandwich to ever exist, but ask anyone there and they would tell you that it was also the tastiest.
[00:27:35] Mr. Pig said he'd never tasted anything so delicious and had doggy bags packed up for the piglets.
[00:27:44] Detective Hash Brown said it was even better than his daily kibble sandwich,
[00:27:49] and that from now on, he'd be coming to Mrs. Pig for sloppy joes all through the week.
[00:27:57] Dallas Cowboy took a doggy bag too, promising he'd take pieces back in time for the diner cat's friends, chili and biscuit.
[00:28:07] Everyone ate and ate and had the most wonderful night they could remember.
[00:28:15] It was the perfect end to the lazy day.
[00:28:20] Once every napkin had been picked up, every crumb hoovered and surface wiped,
[00:28:28] potato and bean said goodbye to their friends.
[00:28:33] Chimkin gave them a huge feathery hug and thanked the cats.
[00:28:38] She said that the article would be the best front page news anyone could hope for.
[00:28:46] Mrs. Pig and Ozzie gave them their usual goodbye hugs,
[00:28:50] and potato and beans told them thank you for all that they'd done.
[00:28:55] They were simply the best.
[00:28:58] With the sun setting towards the orange hills,
[00:29:04] and the sky turning purple and orange and pink,
[00:29:09] potato and beans climbed the stairs towards their apartment above the diner.
[00:29:16] They each took their bubbly baths and dried off under warm hair dryers
[00:29:23] until they were fluffy and light as clouds.
[00:29:28] Then they chose their pyjamas.
[00:29:32] Tonight it would be rainbow-striped socks and sunshine yellow PJs for beans,
[00:29:39] and a fuzzy duck onesie for potato.
[00:29:43] Once dressed in their sleep clothes, they brushed their little teeth.
[00:29:49] When they were ready, they took their usual position in front of the large window
[00:29:56] and looked out at the stars that were now dotting the sky.
[00:30:01] They were shining and shimmering in a bright silver halo around the moon.
[00:30:10] We should count our lucky stars to have such wonderful friends, beans said.
[00:30:18] Potato nodded.
[00:30:21] But how do you know which stars are our lucky ones?
[00:30:26] She asked.
[00:30:28] Bean shrugged.
[00:30:30] I guess we should just count them all.
[00:30:35] One.
[00:30:36] Two.
[00:30:38] Three.
[00:30:40] Four.
[00:30:42] Five.
[00:30:44] Six.
[00:30:46] The cats counted
[00:30:48] until they couldn't count any more
[00:30:51] and their brains were full of stars.
[00:30:57] Potato took beans' paw
[00:31:00] and pointed at the shiniest star in the sky.
[00:31:07] I'm counting that one
[00:31:09] because
[00:31:10] I'm grateful that I have you,
[00:31:14] she said.
[00:31:17] Beans grinned.
[00:31:19] Have lost count,
[00:31:21] she admitted.
[00:31:22] Potato giggled and said
[00:31:25] that she had too.
[00:31:29] The cats
[00:31:30] wrapped themselves in fuzzy blankets
[00:31:33] like furry little burritos
[00:31:37] and laid back onto their beds.
[00:31:40] Now,
[00:31:42] looking at the glow in the dark stars
[00:31:45] stuck onto the ceiling.
[00:31:49] Now that we've made our dream come true,
[00:31:53] we better start thinking of another,
[00:31:58] Bean said.
[00:32:00] Potato yawned.
[00:32:03] Maybe we'll leave that
[00:32:07] till the morning,
[00:32:10] she said.
[00:32:12] Good night, Potato,
[00:32:15] Bean said.
[00:32:16] Good night, Beans,
[00:32:19] Potato said.
[00:32:21] Soon,
[00:32:24] the air was filled
[00:32:26] with comfy snores
[00:32:27] and snuffles
[00:32:29] as the cats fell
[00:32:32] into the sweetest of dreams,
[00:32:36] filled with giant ice cream sundaes
[00:32:39] the size of swimming pools
[00:32:42] and hot chocolate lakes
[00:32:45] and never-ending pizzas.
[00:32:50] A day later,
[00:32:52] the middle-of-nowhere gazette
[00:32:55] would be printed
[00:32:56] and on the front page
[00:32:58] would be a picture
[00:33:00] of two cats,
[00:33:02] thumbs up,
[00:33:04] roller skates gleaming
[00:33:06] as they posed
[00:33:09] on either side
[00:33:11] of the world's biggest sandwich.
[00:33:14] until then,
[00:33:17] though,
[00:33:19] there was nothing to do
[00:33:20] but sleep.
[00:33:23] The moon shone
[00:33:25] above the little building
[00:33:28] in the middle of nowhere
[00:33:30] as the neon sign
[00:33:33] blinked
[00:33:35] and dimmed
[00:33:37] and the diner
[00:33:39] began to sleep
[00:33:41] for the evening too.
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
[00:33:43] a
