00:00:10

Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Cocoa Sleep, a new podcast

00:00:14

Speaker 1: of original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make

00:00:19

Speaker 1: bedtime a dream. Hey Coco Club members, especially our newest

00:00:24

Speaker 1: ones Georgie, Lydia, Aria, Leah, and a little labrador called Hugo.

00:00:31

Speaker 1: Welcome to the club, all of you and the pup.

00:00:34

Speaker 1: We're so glad to have you. I just wanted to

00:00:37

Speaker 1: let you know that on Wednesday, we'll be revisiting our

00:00:40

Speaker 1: friends Katie and Bobby as they return from the Magical

00:00:44

Speaker 1: Toy Library. This time, the children find themselves magically transported

00:00:49

Speaker 1: to a ginormous supermarket run by dragons. They will drive

00:00:55

Speaker 1: a car made of pizza, ride in a jangling trolley train,

00:01:00

Speaker 1: and help one kind dragon find the most magical products

00:01:04

Speaker 1: you've ever heard of. But let's get back to tonight.

00:01:08

Speaker 1: We're about to meet a new character, a charismatic cat

00:01:13

Speaker 1: called Pumpkin. The only thing is Pumpkin has a bit

00:01:18

Speaker 1: of a problem. In fact, it's more than a problem,

00:01:23

Speaker 1: it's a catastrophe. That's sorry. Our lovely, big, round, fluffy

00:01:28

Speaker 1: cat fancies a cat nap, but she just can't get comfy. Thankfully,

00:01:34

Speaker 1: she bumps into a wise hedgehog, and with her help,

00:01:38

Speaker 1: Pumpkin realizes the wors she needs is her own set

00:01:43

Speaker 1: of fluffy pajamas, so she heads off on an adventure

00:01:47

Speaker 1: to find some. Get comfy in your bed. Now, wriggle

00:01:51

Speaker 1: around a little, and take some nice deep breaths right

00:01:55

Speaker 1: down into your tummy and si out and again, deep

00:02:03

Speaker 1: breath down into your tummy and cy it out lovely.

00:02:12

Speaker 1: Right now, it's time for me to begin. The Cat's

00:02:16

Speaker 1: Pajamas by Susannah McLaughlin. In a tall, thin house sandwich

00:02:29

Speaker 1: between two other long, thin houses, there lived a cat.

00:02:34

Speaker 1: This cat was very orange and very round, so the

00:02:39

Speaker 1: little girl who owned her called her Pumpkin. Pumpkin would

00:02:44

Speaker 1: spend her days mewing at birds, nibbling at bits of string,

00:02:49

Speaker 1: and sometimes, when she had nothing better to do, she

00:02:52

Speaker 1: would try and climb the curtains. Dad didn't like it

00:02:56

Speaker 1: when she did that. They said she was too heavy

00:03:01

Speaker 1: and she would surely pull them down, But Pumpkin would

00:03:05

Speaker 1: just rub against their ankles and purr, and soon they

00:03:09

Speaker 1: would forget all about it. Most of Pumpkin's time was

00:03:13

Speaker 1: spent taking long, lazy catnaps, or she loved snoozing and

00:03:18

Speaker 1: stretching and curling up in a ball. She would capnap

00:03:24

Speaker 1: anywhere once. The humans laughed when they returned home and

00:03:29

Speaker 1: found Pumpkins snuggled up on the highest shelf in the kitchen,

00:03:33

Speaker 1: between the dried pasta and the cans of babyans. He

00:03:37

Speaker 1: couldn't imagine how she got up there. Sometimes, if there

00:03:42

Speaker 1: was a human around, Pumpkin would doze off on their lap,

00:03:46

Speaker 1: reaching her paws over her head and thrusting her big

00:03:51

Speaker 1: belly into the air, demanding tickles and pats. Pumpkin loved

00:03:58

Speaker 1: both of the humans in her house, but her very

00:04:01

Speaker 1: best human was Flow, the little girl who lived there.

00:04:06

Speaker 1: Flow and Pumpkin had so much fun together. They played

00:04:11

Speaker 1: with a bunch of feathers tied to a long piece

00:04:13

Speaker 1: of string. Having Flow bobbed the feathers up and down

00:04:17

Speaker 1: and dragged them across the floor as Pumpkin pounced and

00:04:21

Speaker 1: skiddered along trying to catch them. They played with ping

00:04:26

Speaker 1: pong balls, felt mice toys, and balls of yarn too.

00:04:32

Speaker 1: Pumpkin would spend a lot of her time in Floes room,

00:04:36

Speaker 1: brushing against her ankles and getting in the way whilst

00:04:39

Speaker 1: Flow was dancing, sulking in the laundry basket to Flow,

00:04:44

Speaker 1: ever trod on her tail. Whenever that did happen, Floe

00:04:48

Speaker 1: would scoop Pumpkin up in her arms, and the two

00:04:51

Speaker 1: would waltz around the room together until Pumpkin was purring again.

00:04:57

Speaker 1: Flow was her very best friend, and she loved spending

00:05:01

Speaker 1: time with her. Flow was so kind and loving that

00:05:07

Speaker 1: Pumpkin even let her dress her up however she wanted.

00:05:12

Speaker 1: She had collected quite the collection of little hats for Pumpkin.

00:05:16

Speaker 1: A frilly bonnet, a pink cowboy hat, a set of

00:05:21

Speaker 1: sunshine yellow petals that turned her face into the center

00:05:26

Speaker 1: of a flower, and a knitted beanie shaped like a strawberry.

00:05:31

Speaker 1: Each had little slits in them for Pumpkin's ears, and

00:05:35

Speaker 1: Flow would laugh and laugh when she put them on.

00:05:39

Speaker 1: Pumpkin felt quite silly in the hats, especially the frilly bonnet,

00:05:44

Speaker 1: but she put up with it just to hear the

00:05:46

Speaker 1: tinkling sound of floes giggles. Today, though Flow was at school,

00:05:54

Speaker 1: Pumpkin could hardly understand why school was so important. The

00:06:00

Speaker 1: Flow had told her that she loved going to school,

00:06:03

Speaker 1: playing with her human friends and learning about fizzy science

00:06:07

Speaker 1: experiments and far away places. Pumpkin thought that since Flow

00:06:12

Speaker 1: enjoyed school so very much, she would just have to

00:06:16

Speaker 1: make do and stay home without her. Pumpkin had spent

00:06:22

Speaker 1: the morning eating kibble and batting the piece of toilet

00:06:25

Speaker 1: roll that dangled from its holder with her paw. She

00:06:29

Speaker 1: had walked tightrope along the back of the sofa and

00:06:33

Speaker 1: played football with a pair of dad's socks for a while.

00:06:38

Speaker 1: Now it was time to indulge in her favorite activity.

00:06:43

Speaker 1: It was time to take a cat nap. Pumpkin climbed

00:06:49

Speaker 1: up onto the squishiest sofa cushion and began her wind

00:06:54

Speaker 1: down routine. She needed the pillow for a while, stretching

00:06:59

Speaker 1: and rigging each of her toes and making sure the

00:07:03

Speaker 1: pillow was plump and pliable. Then she hunched back on

00:07:09

Speaker 1: her back legs and stretched out her front ones, reaching

00:07:14

Speaker 1: as far as she could and displaying her paws. Next,

00:07:20

Speaker 1: she yawned, possibly the biggest yawn any cat has yawned before.

00:07:27

Speaker 1: With her eyes tightly closed, content, she turned around in

00:07:33

Speaker 1: a circle and curled up in a little wall, wrapping

00:07:38

Speaker 1: her extra fluffy tail around her body like a feather.

00:07:42

Speaker 1: Boa One minute later, she opened her eyes again. Why

00:07:50

Speaker 1: was she still awake. She closed her eyes. Usually she

00:07:56

Speaker 1: would be snoring softly by now when dreaming of a

00:08:00

Speaker 1: land made of kibble, but she just wouldn't drift off.

00:08:07

Speaker 1: Maybe the sofa wasn't the right place for this afternoon's catnap.

00:08:12

Speaker 1: Pumpkin stretched her legs, uncurled her tail, and hopped onto

00:08:18

Speaker 1: the carpet. She click clacked her way into the kitchen

00:08:23

Speaker 1: and threw to the laundry room. Next to the dryer

00:08:27

Speaker 1: was a big wicker basket full of fresh laundry. Pumpkin

00:08:32

Speaker 1: pulled herself up to peer over the rim and sniffed.

00:08:37

Speaker 1: His smelt like fresh cotton and home. She looked in further.

00:08:44

Speaker 1: Dad had just washed his fluffy dressing gown perfect. She

00:08:51

Speaker 1: hunched down on her haunches, and after two practice bounces,

00:08:56

Speaker 1: launched her round body up and into the basket. Pumpkin

00:09:02

Speaker 1: twisted herself up in a knot of fluffy laundry and

00:09:07

Speaker 1: plopped down on her belly. Lovely. It was very comfy

00:09:13

Speaker 1: and it smelled so clean. But something wasn't quite right.

00:09:20

Speaker 1: She had waited too long, and the laundry had lost

00:09:24

Speaker 1: the heat it had held when it first tumbled out

00:09:27

Speaker 1: of the dryer. Pumpkin laid around in there for a

00:09:32

Speaker 1: while anyway, enjoying the comfy cocoon of the fresh towels

00:09:37

Speaker 1: and clean socks. Then she tumbled out of the basket

00:09:43

Speaker 1: and set out again in pursuit of her cat nap.

00:09:49

Speaker 1: She trotted through the kitchen and toddled into the sunroom.

00:09:54

Speaker 1: She weaved through the potted plants and clambered up onto

00:09:59

Speaker 1: the window set. She passed the family photos fondly, patting

00:10:05

Speaker 1: a photo would flow on the way by, and reached

00:10:09

Speaker 1: her favorite spot, in between the potted petunias and the begonias.

00:10:17

Speaker 1: She flopped down on her belly and stretched out. As

00:10:22

Speaker 1: she did so, the sun emerged from behind a fluffy

00:10:26

Speaker 1: cloud and began streaming its golden rays through the sunroom's

00:10:32

Speaker 1: large windows. Pumpkin side and emitted a deep per as

00:10:40

Speaker 1: the warmth sunk into her fur in the sun. Her

00:10:46

Speaker 1: orange fur was lit up in all of its glory,

00:10:51

Speaker 1: in its many shades of orange, mainly tangerine, peach, and apricot.

00:11:00

Speaker 1: The smudges of white under her belly and on her

00:11:04

Speaker 1: chin glowed in the sun. She laid around, enjoying the

00:11:11

Speaker 1: sun's rays, feeling warm, relaxed and ever so sleepy. But

00:11:19

Speaker 1: something wasn't quite right. The window sill felt a little

00:11:24

Speaker 1: too hard to be comfortable to day, and she kept

00:11:27

Speaker 1: having to roll and wriggle around. Pumpkin rolled back onto

00:11:34

Speaker 1: her paws and rubbed her eyes. Maybe the walk would

00:11:40

Speaker 1: tire her a little more. Pumpkin headed to the cap

00:11:46

Speaker 1: flap and rolled out into the yard. She trotted across

00:11:51

Speaker 1: the patio and headed into the shed for a while,

00:11:55

Speaker 1: sniffing at Dad and flows wellies and pouring at the

00:11:59

Speaker 1: jumbo bag of kibble he kept in there. Try as

00:12:04

Speaker 1: she might, she just couldn't poke a hole in the

00:12:07

Speaker 1: bag big enough to extract a cat biscuit. So she

00:12:12

Speaker 1: shrugged and headed out towards the garden. She sauntered around

00:12:18

Speaker 1: the grass, poking her head into the flower beds and

00:12:22

Speaker 1: tasting a few leaves. When she passed a holly bush

00:12:28

Speaker 1: in the corner, she heard a peculiar noise. It was

00:12:33

Speaker 1: a tap, tap, tap, and a click clap and the

00:12:38

Speaker 1: soft hum of a tune. Pumpkin furrowed her brow. Now,

00:12:46

Speaker 1: what could that be? She poked her head into the bush,

00:12:52

Speaker 1: and she couldn't believe what she saw. It was Elsie

00:12:56

Speaker 1: the hedgehog, sitting on her spiky bottom, humming to herself.

00:13:02

Speaker 1: She had two sticks in her hands connected to a

00:13:05

Speaker 1: big ball of yarn. She was moving the sticks in

00:13:10

Speaker 1: a strange pattern, as if doing a little dance with

00:13:14

Speaker 1: her hands. Hello, Elsie, Pumpkin said, I don't want to

00:13:21

Speaker 1: be rude, but I don't think that's how you're supposed

00:13:25

Speaker 1: to play with a ball of wool. You're supposed to

00:13:29

Speaker 1: roll it and chase it around, sliding across the floor

00:13:33

Speaker 1: as you go. Elsie chuckled. Hello, Pumpkin, she said, her

00:13:41

Speaker 1: smile beaming out from underneath her flower top hat. You're

00:13:46

Speaker 1: quite right, that is how you play with yarn. But

00:13:51

Speaker 1: I'm not playing. I'm knitting. Elsie peered at Pumpkin with

00:13:58

Speaker 1: her kind brown eyes, scrunching her pointy little nose. What

00:14:04

Speaker 1: are you doing out here at this time? Shouldn't you

00:14:09

Speaker 1: be napping? Usually I see you snoozing on the window

00:14:15

Speaker 1: sill at this time, or napping in the flower beds.

00:14:20

Speaker 1: Pumpkin sighed, I just can't drift off to day, Elsie,

00:14:28

Speaker 1: I just can't get comfortable enough. Elsie smiled kindly. Well, Pumpkin,

00:14:37

Speaker 1: when my hedgehog children were just we little hoglets, and

00:14:42

Speaker 1: they were struggling to drift off. We would take a

00:14:46

Speaker 1: walk and shake out our arms and legs to get

00:14:50

Speaker 1: rid of any left over energy, and drink some warm milk.

00:14:56

Speaker 1: Then we would all put on our fluffiest pajamas, take

00:15:01

Speaker 1: some long, deep breaths, and think of calming thoughts until

00:15:08

Speaker 1: we all drifted off. Pumpkin frowned. Pajamas. Flow had pajamas.

00:15:20

Speaker 1: They were yellow and soft, covered with pictures of clouds

00:15:26

Speaker 1: and little sheep. She would always put them on at bedtime,

00:15:30

Speaker 1: and she would fall asleep every time. Pumpkin knew this

00:15:36

Speaker 1: because she always snuggled up next to Flow until she

00:15:40

Speaker 1: was fast asleep before slinking off to her own bed

00:15:45

Speaker 1: until the morning. But Pumpkin didn't have any pajamas of

00:15:50

Speaker 1: her own. Elsie, where can I get my own pair

00:15:57

Speaker 1: of pajamas, Pumpkin asked. Elsie tapped a knitting needle against

00:16:04

Speaker 1: her chin as she thought. Well, I don't know where

00:16:10

Speaker 1: cats pajarmins come from, Elsie admitted, but maybe I can

00:16:17

Speaker 1: help a little. We'll start with some fluffy socks. I

00:16:23

Speaker 1: love having toasty feet when I'm napping. Pumpkin beamed at

00:16:29

Speaker 1: Elsie and said thank you five times. She purred excitedly

00:16:37

Speaker 1: and held the yarn between her paws, unfurling it gently

00:16:43

Speaker 1: for Elsie as she clacked away with her needles. She

00:16:48

Speaker 1: fought against the temptation to throw the yarn in the

00:16:51

Speaker 1: air and chase it around the garden until it all

00:16:55

Speaker 1: unraveled into a big pile, waiting patiently whilst Elsie was

00:17:00

Speaker 1: her magic. Elsie hummed as she worked, and Pumpkin joined in,

00:17:07

Speaker 1: bobbing her head back and forth. Little by little, the

00:17:13

Speaker 1: yarn turned into one big fluffy sock, then two, then three,

00:17:22

Speaker 1: then four. Elsie tied the socks together with a ribbon

00:17:29

Speaker 1: and attached them to the back of Pumpkin's collar so

00:17:33

Speaker 1: she could take them back to the house without getting

00:17:37

Speaker 1: them dirty. Pumpkin did a little jig of happiness as

00:17:42

Speaker 1: she looked at her new socks and thanked Elsie again,

00:17:47

Speaker 1: giving her a careful cuddle, making sure not to prick

00:17:51

Speaker 1: her paws on Elsie's spines. Then Pumpkin emerged from the

00:17:58

Speaker 1: holly bush and into the sunshine, carrying her new socks

00:18:03

Speaker 1: on her back. Now all she needed was some fluffy

00:18:08

Speaker 1: trousers and her comfy shirt. Where would she find those?

00:18:15

Speaker 1: Pumpkins squeezed through the hole in the back fence and

00:18:20

Speaker 1: headed out into the world beyond. She trampled over the

00:18:25

Speaker 1: long grass through the bramble bushes, sampling a delicious BlackBerry

00:18:31

Speaker 1: or two on her way. The garden backed onto a

00:18:36

Speaker 1: nature reserve, and it was one of Pumpkin's favorite places

00:18:41

Speaker 1: to explore. She ambled across the meadow and sniffed at

00:18:46

Speaker 1: all the flowers, soon finding herself gazing at her reflection

00:18:53

Speaker 1: in the green, mossy pond. She looked at herself, pondering

00:18:59

Speaker 1: her next move. Where could she find some cats pajamas?

00:19:08

Speaker 1: A movement in the reflection caught her eye. She thought

00:19:14

Speaker 1: it was a cloud at first drifting overhead, but looking

00:19:19

Speaker 1: up into the sky above her, she realized she was wrong.

00:19:26

Speaker 1: Bordering the pond, towering over her fluffy head were long

00:19:31

Speaker 1: grassy reeds. They were a very tall plant, and on top,

00:19:39

Speaker 1: cream fluff burst out of its stem like the tail

00:19:44

Speaker 1: of a golden retriever. Pumpkin gently lowered one of the

00:19:50

Speaker 1: reeds with her paw and felt the material it grew.

00:19:55

Speaker 1: It was easy to mistake as a cloud, It was

00:19:59

Speaker 1: the soft, fuzziest thing Pumpkin had ever felt by her

00:20:05

Speaker 1: own fur, and Pumpkin rubbed her face against it with

00:20:10

Speaker 1: a rumbling pur She barely even noticed when someone hot

00:20:15

Speaker 1: to her side. How do you do? Her voice cooled

00:20:21

Speaker 1: up a Pumpkin, and she looked down with a start

00:20:26

Speaker 1: at her paws was a little frog. He was a

00:20:30

Speaker 1: very grand looking frog, standing tall on his long legs,

00:20:35

Speaker 1: wearing a tweed waistcoat and a flat cap. He had

00:20:40

Speaker 1: a silk handkerchief around his neck, then a shining brooch

00:20:45

Speaker 1: pinned to the lapel of his very smart blazer. Pumpkin

00:20:51

Speaker 1: smiled and greeted the funny little frog. She told him

00:20:56

Speaker 1: she loved his clothes, especially the silk handkerchief, which reminded

00:21:01

Speaker 1: her of the ribbon flow woar in her hair on

00:21:05

Speaker 1: special occasions. The frog bowed his head bashfully and thanked her.

00:21:13

Speaker 1: He noticed the reed and Pumpkin's poor and smiled. He

00:21:18

Speaker 1: said they were the softest thing in the whole nature reserve,

00:21:23

Speaker 1: and that he had used some to carpet his house.

00:21:28

Speaker 1: The living room rug was now the best place in

00:21:33

Speaker 1: the world for an afternoon nap. Pumpkin nodded. She told

00:21:39

Speaker 1: the frog that she loved napping too, but she was

00:21:43

Speaker 1: having trouble drifting off today. She'd realized that what she

00:21:48

Speaker 1: was missing was a pair of pajamas, and she wished

00:21:53

Speaker 1: she could find some as soft as the tufty reed.

00:21:59

Speaker 1: Where do you find your clothes, she asked the frog.

00:22:04

Speaker 1: He smiled modestly and admitted that he made them himself,

00:22:09

Speaker 1: sewing with spiders, silk, and a pine needle. Pumpkin gasped

00:22:16

Speaker 1: and told him he was ever so clever. The frog

00:22:21

Speaker 1: puffed with pride and told Pumpkin to wait right there.

00:22:29

Speaker 1: Pumpkin sat frozen on the spot as the frog hopped

00:22:33

Speaker 1: between the long grass and disappeared. He emerged a minute

00:22:39

Speaker 1: later with a spool of gleaming silver thread and a green,

00:22:44

Speaker 1: sweet smelling needle. He told Pumpkin that he believed everyone

00:22:51

Speaker 1: deserved a pair of fluffy pajamas, especially a kind kitty

00:22:57

Speaker 1: like her, and he thought he had found them perfect material.

00:23:05

Speaker 1: Pumpkin beamed and clapped her paws in excitement, thanking the

00:23:10

Speaker 1: frog over and over again. The pair set to work,

00:23:17

Speaker 1: with Pumpkin gathering poor fools of fluff and delivering them

00:23:21

Speaker 1: to the frog, who had stitched them carefully, his long,

00:23:26

Speaker 1: sticky tongue sticking out in concentration. Soon they had created

00:23:33

Speaker 1: the most beautiful pair of trousers, as light and soft

00:23:38

Speaker 1: as the clouds. Pumpkin bounded back over to the reeds

00:23:45

Speaker 1: and readied herself to pounce for more fluff, but there

00:23:50

Speaker 1: was none. Pumpkin looked worriedly over to the frog, who

00:23:56

Speaker 1: chuckled mm hmm. Don't worry. The frog said, it'll grow

00:24:03

Speaker 1: back very soon, but today there was only enough for

00:24:10

Speaker 1: your trousers. Pumpkins smiled. They're the best trousers in the world,

00:24:19

Speaker 1: she said, thank you. She rolled them up tight, and

00:24:25

Speaker 1: the frog helped her attach them to the back of

00:24:28

Speaker 1: her collar. She said goodbye to the frog and promised

00:24:34

Speaker 1: to visit again soon before padding off into the woods

00:24:39

Speaker 1: searching for the last piece of the pajama puzzle. Before long,

00:24:46

Speaker 1: she emerged into the park, where people were walking their dogs,

00:24:51

Speaker 1: reading books on the lawn, and playing games like frisbee.

00:24:58

Speaker 1: As she passed, Pumpkin and ran into the game, leaping

00:25:02

Speaker 1: up with her big paws and catching the frisbee expertly

00:25:08

Speaker 1: in her mouth. But then she placed it down gently

00:25:12

Speaker 1: on the grass and shook her head. She couldn't play

00:25:16

Speaker 1: right now, she was on a very important mission. As

00:25:24

Speaker 1: she passed the play park, a little boy ran over

00:25:28

Speaker 1: and asked if he could pet her. She was never

00:25:32

Speaker 1: too busy for that, so she nodded enthusiastically and rolled

00:25:37

Speaker 1: out on the grass to have her tummy tickled. The

00:25:42

Speaker 1: boy introduced himself as Percy, chatting to Pumpkin as she

00:25:49

Speaker 1: tickled her ears about spaceships and unicorns and anything else

00:25:55

Speaker 1: that popped into his mind. Soon person he noticed the

00:26:01

Speaker 1: very important items Pumpkin was carrying. He inspected the fuzzy

00:26:08

Speaker 1: socks and unrolled the trousers, exclaiming that they were the

00:26:13

Speaker 1: coziest trousers he had ever laid his eyes upon. Pumpkin

00:26:20

Speaker 1: smiled proudly. Percy furrowed his brows in thought. You have

00:26:28

Speaker 1: four cozy socks, he said, and some very fuzzy pajama bottoms.

00:26:36

Speaker 1: But there's something missing. Percy thought for three more seconds

00:26:44

Speaker 1: before his eyes lit up like a light bulb had

00:26:48

Speaker 1: just illuminated in his mind. I know just what you need,

00:26:55

Speaker 1: he said, wait here, Pumpkin again, vowing not to move

00:27:03

Speaker 1: a whisker until Percy returned. Percy ran back into the

00:27:10

Speaker 1: midst of the playpark to collect his mom, and the

00:27:14

Speaker 1: two of them headed towards the car park, deep in conversation.

00:27:22

Speaker 1: Before long, Percy was back in his hands. He had

00:27:27

Speaker 1: a soft, light blue jumper that looked as if it

00:27:32

Speaker 1: was made from the lightest candy floss. It was the

00:27:37

Speaker 1: perfect size for Pumpkin. This belongs to my teddy bear,

00:27:44

Speaker 1: Percy said. His name is Charlie. Charlie has so many clothes.

00:27:53

Speaker 1: I think he would want you to have this. He

00:27:56

Speaker 1: looked better in purple anyway. Pumpkin purred like a motor

00:28:03

Speaker 1: car and whizzed in figurates around Percy's legs. It was perfect.

00:28:11

Speaker 1: She purred thank you to him, and Percy tucked the

00:28:16

Speaker 1: jumper into Pumpkin's collar With a hop, skip and a jump,

00:28:23

Speaker 1: and one last purred thank you, Pumpkin headed home. She

00:28:29

Speaker 1: hurried through the park, skipped through the nature reserve, and

00:28:36

Speaker 1: pranced through the garden in excitement. Through her cap flap,

00:28:41

Speaker 1: she squeezed, and she padded through to the sitting room,

00:28:46

Speaker 1: where she flopped down on the sofa. That adventure was tiring.

00:28:55

Speaker 1: Pumpkin undid the ribbon attached to her collar, letting her

00:28:59

Speaker 1: new pajamas fall onto the cushion. She admired them with

00:29:05

Speaker 1: a soft smile on her face. Paws clasped to her heart.

00:29:13

Speaker 1: Then she carefully put on each fuzzy sock. They were

00:29:19

Speaker 1: striped in the most vibrant pinks and oranges, which perfectly

00:29:24

Speaker 1: complimented her fur. She curled her toes carefully as she

00:29:31

Speaker 1: put them on, so as not to snag the yarn

00:29:34

Speaker 1: with her claws. Then she sighed in contentment. Her little

00:29:40

Speaker 1: paws was so warm and cozy. She wriggled her toes

00:29:46

Speaker 1: in satisfaction. Then she pulled on her cloudlike trousers, smiling happily,

00:29:55

Speaker 1: letting her tail glide through the specially create and flicking

00:30:02

Speaker 1: it back and forth happily. Finally, she put on Charlie's jumper,

00:30:10

Speaker 1: which wrapped her up like a hug. She felt as

00:30:15

Speaker 1: snugly as a teddy bear, and thought that she was

00:30:19

Speaker 1: so comfortable she could drift into the sky. As she

00:30:27

Speaker 1: admired her pajamas, she heard the familiar sound of the

00:30:32

Speaker 1: front door. It was Flow and Dad home at last.

00:30:40

Speaker 1: Flow bounded into the hallway, calling out for Pumpkin, Pumpkin,

00:30:47

Speaker 1: You'll never guess what I made for you at school.

00:30:53

Speaker 1: Pumpkin pricked up her ears and turned to the door,

00:30:58

Speaker 1: waiting for Flow to tumble through. Soon, Floe found her

00:31:05

Speaker 1: and gave her a tight squeeze. She noticed Pumpkin's beautiful

00:31:11

Speaker 1: new pajamas and complimented them profusely. She said it was

00:31:17

Speaker 1: good that Pumpkin had found her pajamas today, as Flow

00:31:22

Speaker 1: had brought the perfect finishing piece to her outfit. From

00:31:28

Speaker 1: behind her back, she produced a little something made of soft,

00:31:34

Speaker 1: floppy felt. It was a carefully crafted nightcap that drooped

00:31:42

Speaker 1: to a point and ended with a fluffy white pomp

00:31:46

Speaker 1: pump and it was covered with the daintiest embroidery, the

00:31:52

Speaker 1: shape of tiny crescent moons. Flow had made it an

00:31:58

Speaker 1: art class. She put it on Pumpkin's head. It fit perfectly,

00:32:05

Speaker 1: wrapping her fury head snugly, leaving space for her ears

00:32:11

Speaker 1: to poke through so she could still hear Flow's voice.

00:32:18

Speaker 1: Pumpkin's heart glowed. Her pajamas were complete. Before long. Flow

00:32:28

Speaker 1: had put on her own pajamas and curled up on

00:32:32

Speaker 1: the sofa with her favorite book. Pumpkin curled up contentedly

00:32:40

Speaker 1: on her lap, with her fluffy little ears poking through

00:32:45

Speaker 1: her nightcap, every inch of her body covered in soft,

00:32:52

Speaker 1: fuzzy material. She looked less like a pumpkin and more

00:32:58

Speaker 1: like a cloud. As Flow absent mindedly stroked her ears.

00:33:06

Speaker 1: Pumpkin drifted off into a long, deep catnap, dreaming and

00:33:16

Speaker 1: floating through the starry sky, purring softly.
