00:00:10

Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome back to Coco Sleep, a podcast of

00:00:14

Speaker 1: original children's bedtime stories and meditations designed to make bedtime

00:00:20

Speaker 1: a dream. Before we begin, I'd like to say a

00:00:24

Speaker 1: big welcome to Madison and Adlie, who have just joined

00:00:28

Speaker 1: the Cocoa Club. Welcome you two. We're so happy to

00:00:31

Speaker 1: have you both. Adelie is even a story writer herself.

00:00:36

Speaker 1: I'm really curious to know what you write about. We

00:00:39

Speaker 1: hope to hear your stories too one day, Adlie, I

00:00:43

Speaker 1: wonder if you like writing about animals meeting each other,

00:00:47

Speaker 1: about unexpected friendships. There's a twinkle of magic in the

00:00:52

Speaker 1: air around Coco's cabin and Sleepy forest. I have a

00:00:55

Speaker 1: feeling something exciting is going to happen in Wednesday's story,

00:01:00

Speaker 1: and possibly it might involve our good friend NeSSI from Lochness.

00:01:06

Speaker 1: I hope you both enjoy it. Now back to Tonight's story.

00:01:11

Speaker 1: We're going to soon meet a princess in training called Sierra.

00:01:17

Speaker 1: Being so very busy with her training, Sierra never knew

00:01:21

Speaker 1: about the special magic of the forest behind the castle

00:01:25

Speaker 1: until one day she takes a walk and meets the

00:01:28

Speaker 1: most unusual of animals, a dinosaur. Maybe this dinosaur could

00:01:34

Speaker 1: be her new noble steed. Let's get ready to fly

00:01:39

Speaker 1: over to the royal Castle by snuggling down deep into

00:01:43

Speaker 1: our beds, close your eyes and smile for a moment

00:01:48

Speaker 1: as you get nice and comfy. Imagine a fairy tale

00:01:54

Speaker 1: castle with turrets and towers and people busy with preparations

00:02:00

Speaker 1: for a royal parade. And now look out beyond into

00:02:04

Speaker 1: the forest nearby, where a little dinosaur with her long

00:02:09

Speaker 1: neck calmly munches on some leaves, not knowing he's about

00:02:14

Speaker 1: to meet someone very special. This is the Princess and

00:02:20

Speaker 1: the Dinosaur by Alicia Ainslie. Sierra was a normal nine

00:02:31

Speaker 1: year old girl. She was inquisitive and quick witted. She

00:02:35

Speaker 1: loved learning new things and new skills, and she had

00:02:39

Speaker 1: plenty of energy that she needed to burn off every day.

00:02:44

Speaker 1: She loved dancing and art. She thought animals were adorable,

00:02:49

Speaker 1: and her favorite food was ice cream. Yes, Sierra was

00:02:54

Speaker 1: just like many other nine year olds, except for one thing.

00:02:58

Speaker 1: Sierra was a pretty sts, a real royal princess. Every day,

00:03:06

Speaker 1: Princess Yerira awoke to her usual wake up call of

00:03:09

Speaker 1: the birds chirping outside her window. The morning sun trickled

00:03:15

Speaker 1: in through the long white curtains and lit up her room,

00:03:20

Speaker 1: beckoning her to start her day. The palace attendants always

00:03:26

Speaker 1: laid out a pretty dress for Sierra to wear and

00:03:29

Speaker 1: a matching pair of shoes. Once she was dressed, her

00:03:33

Speaker 1: lady in waiting would brush her hair and style her

00:03:37

Speaker 1: ringlet curls in a delightful design, completed by a colorful

00:03:42

Speaker 1: ribbon that matched her outfit. Then she would go downstairs

00:03:47

Speaker 1: to eat breakfast with her parents, the King and Queen.

00:03:52

Speaker 1: A buffet of eggs, bread, yogurt, and fruit was readily

00:03:57

Speaker 1: laid out for her to help herself too, and then

00:04:01

Speaker 1: she would eat her fill before the day's duties began.

00:04:06

Speaker 1: Each morning, Sierra had several classes she needed to attend

00:04:10

Speaker 1: as a princess in training. She would take etiquette lessons

00:04:15

Speaker 1: and learn how to eat, speak, and stand like a princess.

00:04:21

Speaker 1: Then she would take music lessons and dance classes, practice

00:04:25

Speaker 1: different languages, and work on her school studies with the

00:04:29

Speaker 1: palace tutor. Aside from her princess training, she was required

00:04:35

Speaker 1: to join her parents in their royal duties so that

00:04:39

Speaker 1: she could observe them and learn from them. Royal duties

00:04:43

Speaker 1: could be as simple as meeting the townspeople and tending

00:04:47

Speaker 1: to their needs, paying visits to near by kingdoms, and

00:04:52

Speaker 1: welcoming lords and ladies to their own, and sitting in

00:04:56

Speaker 1: on courtly matters regarding the running of the kingdom. Sierra

00:05:02

Speaker 1: found this last task particularly dull. Today, Sierra was required

00:05:10

Speaker 1: to join her parents in a royal parade through their kingdom.

00:05:14

Speaker 1: It was a special anniversary celebrating the kingdom's long history,

00:05:19

Speaker 1: and there would be a huge parade through the town

00:05:22

Speaker 1: for all of the citizens to watch. There would be

00:05:27

Speaker 1: music and dancing in the streets, and Sierra and her

00:05:31

Speaker 1: parents would ride in their golden carriage pulled by their

00:05:35

Speaker 1: majestic horses, smiling and waving to the people. Because of

00:05:41

Speaker 1: the big royal parade, Sierra's classes were postponed for the day,

00:05:47

Speaker 1: and she had the morning to do with as she pleased.

00:05:51

Speaker 1: Despite having so much free time on her hands, Sierra

00:05:56

Speaker 1: didn't know what to do. She wondered the palace hall

00:06:00

Speaker 1: for a while, admiring the tapestries and paintings of her

00:06:04

Speaker 1: royal family, and then went for a stroll around the

00:06:08

Speaker 1: palace grounds. It was a bright, sunny day, perfect for

00:06:13

Speaker 1: a royal parade. Sierra walked for a while, holding up

00:06:18

Speaker 1: her parasol above her head, and stopped to rest on

00:06:22

Speaker 1: the wall of the water fountain. Two sweet stone cherubs

00:06:28

Speaker 1: spurted water out of their mouths in the center of

00:06:31

Speaker 1: the fountain, creating a relaxing trickling sound. Sierra looked around,

00:06:38

Speaker 1: took a deep breath, and sighed she was bored. She

00:06:45

Speaker 1: gazed at all of the beautiful flowers, fruit trees, and

00:06:50

Speaker 1: perfectly groomed hedges that adorned the palace grounds. It was

00:06:55

Speaker 1: all very picturesque, but there wasn't much else to do

00:07:00

Speaker 1: except look and admire. Sierra wished that she could have

00:07:05

Speaker 1: a big climbing frame or a swing set in the

00:07:09

Speaker 1: palace gardens. That would be really fun. As Sierra sat

00:07:15

Speaker 1: and sulked on the water fountain, she stared ahead to

00:07:20

Speaker 1: the edge of the palace grounds and noticed something moving

00:07:25

Speaker 1: in a tree beyond the garden wall. She stood up

00:07:29

Speaker 1: and walked closer to the wall to inspect it better.

00:07:37

Speaker 1: As Sierra approached the tall white stone wall, she noticed

00:07:43

Speaker 1: that there were hundreds of trees beyond the palace grounds.

00:07:48

Speaker 1: She'd never really noticed them before. It looked like a forest.

00:07:54

Speaker 1: As Sierra got nearer, she could see clearly what was

00:07:58

Speaker 1: moving in the tree. Slowly, but surely, a gray sloth

00:08:05

Speaker 1: was shuffling across one of the tree branches. Sierra had

00:08:10

Speaker 1: never seen a sloth in real life before. She giggled

00:08:16

Speaker 1: and said, without expectation, good morning, mister sloth, how are

00:08:22

Speaker 1: you today? To her bewilderment, the sloth turned its head

00:08:30

Speaker 1: lethargically and looked at Sienna before replying in a slow drawl, why,

00:08:39

Speaker 1: good morning. I'm very well, thank you, although i I'm

00:08:51

Speaker 1: a bit tired. How are you? Sierra s go backwards

00:09:00

Speaker 1: with surprise. She didn't know that sloths could talk. She

00:09:05

Speaker 1: didn't think that any animals could talk for that matter.

00:09:10

Speaker 1: Sierra stammered, you you can talk. The sloth chuckled a

00:09:18

Speaker 1: slow chuckle and replied, why, of course I care. Every

00:09:28

Speaker 1: animal can talk in Sleepy Forest. Sierra's eyes grew wide

00:09:38

Speaker 1: with excitement. She had never heard of Sleepy Forest before.

00:09:44

Speaker 1: She hadn't thought much about what was outside of her

00:09:48

Speaker 1: royal kingdom, but now she was desperate to find out more.

00:09:55

Speaker 1: Sierra bade farewell to the talking sloth and wished to

00:10:00

Speaker 1: a good day, before running back inside the palace to

00:10:04

Speaker 1: find her parents. Mother, father, she cried as she rushed

00:10:10

Speaker 1: into the drawing room, where they were relaxing before the

00:10:14

Speaker 1: afternoon's parade. Have you ever heard of a sleepy forest before?

00:10:21

Speaker 1: I just spoke to a dorking sloth on the edge

00:10:25

Speaker 1: of the palace grounds, and he said that in Sleepy

00:10:29

Speaker 1: Forest all the animals can talk. The King and Queen

00:10:37

Speaker 1: laughed gently at their daughter's bafflement. The King twitched his

00:10:44

Speaker 1: mustache and answered, yes, of course, Sleepy Forest is just

00:10:52

Speaker 1: beyond our kingdom, and it is full of all sorts

00:10:56

Speaker 1: of wonderful magical beings. The Queen admitted that she used

00:11:03

Speaker 1: to venture out into Sleepy Forest all the time before

00:11:07

Speaker 1: she became so busy with royal errands. Princess Sierra was perplexed.

00:11:16

Speaker 1: She couldn't believe she'd never heard about Sleepy Forest before.

00:11:21

Speaker 1: She wanted to know more. Immediately, Sierra asked her parents

00:11:27

Speaker 1: if she could go out into Sleepy Forest sometime to

00:11:31

Speaker 1: take a look around. She would love to meet some

00:11:35

Speaker 1: more talking animals and see what other magical creatures were

00:11:39

Speaker 1: living there. It sounded incredible. The King and Queen shared

00:11:46

Speaker 1: a look from their comfy chairs, and the queen nodded

00:11:50

Speaker 1: her head Let's go for a morning stroll in sleepy forest,

00:11:55

Speaker 1: she suggested, I haven't been there in years, since I

00:12:01

Speaker 1: have some rare spare time on my hands, now would

00:12:06

Speaker 1: be a perfect opportunity. Sierra leapt up into the air

00:12:12

Speaker 1: with glee. She couldn't believe that she was getting to

00:12:17

Speaker 1: go into a magical forest. This day had just got

00:12:23

Speaker 1: so much better. The Queen asked the royal attendants to

00:12:29

Speaker 1: bring her and Sierra's wellies, and they swapped their pretty,

00:12:34

Speaker 1: dainty shoes over for big, clumpy boots perfect for trudging

00:12:40

Speaker 1: through a forest. The Queen led Sierra through the palace

00:12:45

Speaker 1: grounds and over to a big wooden gate on the

00:12:49

Speaker 1: far side of the gardens. The gate was always locked,

00:12:55

Speaker 1: but today the Queen unlocked it with a special iron key.

00:13:01

Speaker 1: She opened it up, and Sierra was amazed to see

00:13:05

Speaker 1: a long, dusty path leading from the gate out into

00:13:09

Speaker 1: the vast forest beyond. The Queen informed the royal attendants

00:13:16

Speaker 1: that they would be back in time for the parade,

00:13:19

Speaker 1: and then she took her daughter's hand and led the

00:13:22

Speaker 1: way into sleepy forest. Sierra felt exhilarated. She'd never been

00:13:30

Speaker 1: outside of the kingdom before, and it was especially exciting

00:13:35

Speaker 1: to be exploring a new magical land With her mother

00:13:40

Speaker 1: by her side, Sierra and the Queen walked along the

00:13:46

Speaker 1: path through Sleepy Forest, enjoying the morning sun breaking through

00:13:52

Speaker 1: the trees, and listening to the sounds of the forest.

00:13:58

Speaker 1: Aside from the sound of birds singing and squirrels squeaking,

00:14:04

Speaker 1: Sierra heard the occasional gentle rustling in the bushes, and

00:14:09

Speaker 1: she could have sworn she could hear a faint jingling

00:14:13

Speaker 1: in the air. She wondered if the talking sloth she

00:14:17

Speaker 1: had met earlier was still anywhere around her mother. The

00:14:24

Speaker 1: Queen walked with a spring in her step and smiled

00:14:29

Speaker 1: delightedly as she led the way. She told Sierra all

00:14:35

Speaker 1: about the times she had ventured into Sleepy Forest in

00:14:39

Speaker 1: the past. She had met a myriad of friendly, talking animals,

00:14:46

Speaker 1: and once she'd even seen a group of tiny elves

00:14:51

Speaker 1: building a bridge over the river. The Queen seemed to

00:14:57

Speaker 1: have lots of pleasant memories of sleep beforest and Sierra

00:15:02

Speaker 1: couldn't wait to make her own. Eventually, Sierra and the

00:15:09

Speaker 1: Queen came upon a wooden bridge similar to the one

00:15:13

Speaker 1: that the queen had mentioned. Sierra was in awe that

00:15:18

Speaker 1: her mother's story was true, and the Queen giggled at

00:15:23

Speaker 1: her daughter's fascinated expression. Shall we cross the bridge, the

00:15:31

Speaker 1: queen asked Sierra eagerly. Sierra was speechless and could only

00:15:40

Speaker 1: nod in response. Both royal ladies walked over the bridge

00:15:46

Speaker 1: in their wellington boots and beautiful long dresses and continued

00:15:51

Speaker 1: their stroll on the other side. They walked for a while,

00:15:57

Speaker 1: but they did not come across any talking animals. It

00:16:02

Speaker 1: seemed that either the magical creatures were hiding or didn't

00:16:06

Speaker 1: live in these parts. Sierra was starting to grow disappointed

00:16:13

Speaker 1: that she might not see any more talking animals when

00:16:18

Speaker 1: the Queen paused and whispered to Sierra, over there through

00:16:25

Speaker 1: the trees. Sierra squinted in the direction her mother was pointing, and,

00:16:34

Speaker 1: to her amazement, saw a young dinosaur with a long

00:16:40

Speaker 1: neck trotting through the trees. The dinosaur appeared to be

00:16:49

Speaker 1: practicing its whistle, but its notes were slightly off key,

00:16:54

Speaker 1: and Sierra grinned at its adorable attempts. Sierra couldn't believe

00:17:02

Speaker 1: she was seeing a real life dinosaur. She thought they

00:17:08

Speaker 1: were extinct, but her mother whispered to her that anything

00:17:13

Speaker 1: was possible. In sleepy forest. Sierra wondered what other marvelous

00:17:20

Speaker 1: creatures were hiding amongst the trees. Can we say hello?

00:17:27

Speaker 1: Sierra whispered back to her mother. But she needn't have

00:17:33

Speaker 1: bothered asking as right on cue, the young dinosaur spotted

00:17:39

Speaker 1: Sierra and the Queen through the trees and began plodding

00:17:44

Speaker 1: over to see them. Hello, the little dinosaur called out

00:17:52

Speaker 1: in a sweet voice. Sierra mustered up the courage to

00:17:58

Speaker 1: speak back to the dinosaur and greeted it in return.

00:18:04

Speaker 1: The friendly young dinosaur introduced himself. My name is Dewey,

00:18:13

Speaker 1: he said, cheerfully. What are your names? Sierra informed Dewey

00:18:21

Speaker 1: the dinosaur that she was called Princess Sierra, and she

00:18:26

Speaker 1: was with her mother, the Queen of Pearlasia. Wow, the

00:18:33

Speaker 1: dinosaur gasped as he took in the two royal ladies.

00:18:38

Speaker 1: Dewey the dinosaur lowered his head in a deep bow.

00:18:43

Speaker 1: What an honor to meet a queen and a princess,

00:18:49

Speaker 1: he said. The queen smiled graciously, and Sierra returned a

00:18:56

Speaker 1: curtsey to Dewey's polite bow. What brings you into sleepy

00:19:03

Speaker 1: forest this morning, the long necked dinosaur asked, politely, Are

00:19:10

Speaker 1: you lost? Princess Sierra replied that they weren't lost. Her

00:19:17

Speaker 1: mother was showing her around Sleepy Forest as she had

00:19:20

Speaker 1: only just discovered it. They had a royal parade to

00:19:24

Speaker 1: return home for later. The young dinosaur's ears pricked at

00:19:31

Speaker 1: the mention of the parade, and his shiny black eyes

00:19:36

Speaker 1: lit up. Will there be noble steeds at your parade,

00:19:43

Speaker 1: the little dinosaur asked breathlessly. Princess Sierra wasn't sure what

00:19:50

Speaker 1: a noble's deeed was, and she turned to her mother

00:19:54

Speaker 1: with a look of confusion. The Queen confirmed that yes,

00:20:01

Speaker 1: there would be noble steeds in the parade. She informed

00:20:06

Speaker 1: Sierra that noble steeds were the royal horses that pulled

00:20:11

Speaker 1: their carriages and allowed the royal family to ride around

00:20:15

Speaker 1: on horseback. The youthful dinosaur's mouth hung open with longing.

00:20:24

Speaker 1: I've always wanted to be a noble steed, Dewey confessed,

00:20:31

Speaker 1: It has been my dream for as long as I

00:20:34

Speaker 1: can remember. Jury The dinosaur explained that he had always

00:20:43

Speaker 1: looked up to the majestic horses that grew up to

00:20:46

Speaker 1: become noble steeds for royalty. He longed to grow up

00:20:52

Speaker 1: to be just as tall and strong as them, and

00:20:56

Speaker 1: maybe one day be lucky enough to carry out important

00:21:02

Speaker 1: duties as they do, although there weren't many jobs like

00:21:08

Speaker 1: that in Sleepy Forest, and certainly not for dinosaurs like him.

00:21:14

Speaker 1: You could become a noble steed if you really want to,

00:21:20

Speaker 1: Princess Sierra encouraged him. The little dinosaur sulked disappointedly and

00:21:28

Speaker 1: responded sadly, I can't. I'm only a dinosaur. Dinosaurs aren't

00:21:39

Speaker 1: regal enough to work for royal families. My big clumsy

00:21:45

Speaker 1: feet couldn't keep up with the graceful horses. Sierra looked

00:21:53

Speaker 1: at the sweet young dinosaur. He didn't seem clumsy and

00:21:59

Speaker 1: ungraceful to her. He looked like he was the perfect

00:22:04

Speaker 1: size for someone to ride if they were as short

00:22:08

Speaker 1: as Sierra. Then a light bulb clicked in Sierra's mind.

00:22:16

Speaker 1: She excused herself and her mother for a moment and

00:22:20

Speaker 1: whispered in her mother's ear, what if Dewey could be

00:22:27

Speaker 1: Sierra's noble's deed. Sierra turned back to the young dinosaur,

00:22:34

Speaker 1: who was patiently waiting, and smiled, how would you like

00:22:41

Speaker 1: to be my noble's deed for the day, She suggested,

00:22:48

Speaker 1: you could come back to the Kingdom with us and

00:22:51

Speaker 1: take part in the royal Parade this afternoon. Then when

00:22:56

Speaker 1: you're ready to come home, we'll bring you back. Dewey

00:23:02

Speaker 1: the Dinosaur was flabbergasted. It was so unexpected that he

00:23:08

Speaker 1: didn't know what to say. After a few moments, the

00:23:14

Speaker 1: dinosaur nodded his head vigorously. Yes, please, I would love that,

00:23:21

Speaker 1: he cried Princess Sierra and the Queen smiled happily and

00:23:28

Speaker 1: began to lead the way back along the path through

00:23:32

Speaker 1: sleepy forest. It wouldn't be long until the Royal Parade began,

00:23:39

Speaker 1: and they needed to get their new guest of honor

00:23:41

Speaker 1: ready for the occasion. The young dinosaur was a bit

00:23:47

Speaker 1: nervous about walking in the parade. He had never done

00:23:51

Speaker 1: anything like it before, and he was worried he might

00:23:55

Speaker 1: stumble or fall flat on his face in front of everyone,

00:24:01

Speaker 1: but Sierra assured him that they would practice before the

00:24:06

Speaker 1: parade began. Sierra climbed upon Dewey the Dinosaur's bag and

00:24:13

Speaker 1: he practiced walking with her riding on top of him.

00:24:18

Speaker 1: At first, it felt strange to have somebody sitting on

00:24:23

Speaker 1: his back, but after a few minutes the dinosaur got

00:24:28

Speaker 1: used to it, and he found his stride. Sierra wasn't

00:24:33

Speaker 1: very heavy, and she was right. The dinosaur was the

00:24:37

Speaker 1: perfect height for someone like her to ride. Dewey. The

00:24:43

Speaker 1: dinosaur carried Sierra all the way back to the gate

00:24:48

Speaker 1: to the Royal Kingdom, and she hopped off upon arrival.

00:24:53

Speaker 1: The Royal Attendants were already waiting at the gate and

00:24:58

Speaker 1: were baffled when they saw Sierra arrive riding on a dinosaur,

00:25:05

Speaker 1: and not just any dinosaur, a talking dinosaur. The Queen

00:25:12

Speaker 1: requested that the Royal Attendants prepare the young dinosaur accordingly

00:25:18

Speaker 1: for the parade. He would need to wear some of

00:25:22

Speaker 1: their noble steeds finest accessories for the event. While Princess

00:25:30

Speaker 1: Sierra and her mother went to get changed for the parade,

00:25:34

Speaker 1: the Royal Attendants dressed the young dinosaur for the procession too.

00:25:40

Speaker 1: They placed a sparkling gold saddle on his back and

00:25:45

Speaker 1: draped a pink pair of reins over his stately neck.

00:25:50

Speaker 1: To top it all off, they gave him a golden

00:25:53

Speaker 1: helmet to wear on his head with a pale pink

00:25:57

Speaker 1: feather poking out of the top. The young dinosaur looked

00:26:03

Speaker 1: at himself in the mirror and twirled with elation. He

00:26:09

Speaker 1: looked absolutely glorious. Dewey the dinosaur was led to the

00:26:16

Speaker 1: horse's stables, where the official royal horses were preparing for

00:26:22

Speaker 1: the parade. The young dinosaur gazed at the impressive noble

00:26:28

Speaker 1: steeds with awe. They were just as radiant up close

00:26:35

Speaker 1: as they were from afar. The royal horses varied in

00:26:40

Speaker 1: colors of white, black, and brown, with elaborate armor covering

00:26:46

Speaker 1: their bodies. After some time, Princess Sierra arrived at the

00:26:53

Speaker 1: stables in a white, sparkling dress and matching silver slippers.

00:27:00

Speaker 1: Her ring lick curls were all piled up on top

00:27:04

Speaker 1: of her head, and she looked like a true princess.

00:27:10

Speaker 1: She noticed that Dewy appeared nervous despite his fabulous costume

00:27:17

Speaker 1: for the parade. Sierra asked him if he was excited,

00:27:23

Speaker 1: and the dinosaur meekly replied, surely, I can't be expected

00:27:30

Speaker 1: to walk amongst these amazing noble steeds. I will look

00:27:35

Speaker 1: out of place. Sierra smiled reassuringly and patted him on

00:27:42

Speaker 1: his side. You might be different to the royal horses,

00:27:48

Speaker 1: but it doesn't make you any less significant, she said,

00:27:54

Speaker 1: you are just as special and important as anyone here.

00:28:00

Speaker 1: You're going to be my noble steed, and you're perfect

00:28:04

Speaker 1: for the job because the others are too big for

00:28:08

Speaker 1: me to ride. The young dinosaur perked up at Sierra's

00:28:14

Speaker 1: words and smiled shyly. She was right. His dream was

00:28:21

Speaker 1: about to come true, and he wasn't going to let

00:28:25

Speaker 1: his nerves ruin the moment for him. Sierra climbed up

00:28:33

Speaker 1: onto the golden saddle on his back and grabbed the reins.

00:28:39

Speaker 1: Let's have one more practice before we go, she whispered

00:28:44

Speaker 1: into her new friend's ear. By the time the royal

00:28:50

Speaker 1: parade began, they had practiced their walk to perfection, and

00:28:55

Speaker 1: Dewey felt much more confident and ready to go. The

00:29:01

Speaker 1: doors to the stables opened and all of the noble

00:29:06

Speaker 1: steeds were led out into their procession positions. Four huge

00:29:14

Speaker 1: royal horses were strapped up to the King and Queen's

00:29:18

Speaker 1: golden carriage, while four royal guards rode on the backs

00:29:24

Speaker 1: of the others. Meanwhile, Princess Sierra rode the young Dinosaur

00:29:31

Speaker 1: out to the front of them all to lead the

00:29:34

Speaker 1: way through the streets. As they reached their position and

00:29:42

Speaker 1: prepared for the parade to begin. Sierra could sense that

00:29:47

Speaker 1: Dewy the Dinosaur was nervous, so she leaned down and

00:29:53

Speaker 1: whispered into his ear, just take a deep breath, everything

00:30:01

Speaker 1: will be absolutely fine. As the trumpets sounded and the

00:30:09

Speaker 1: royal parade began, the noble steeds started to move forward,

00:30:16

Speaker 1: and Dewey the Little Dinosaur led the way. As they

00:30:22

Speaker 1: all strode through the streets of the Kingdom of Perlasia.

00:30:27

Speaker 1: The people cheered and sang for joy as they admired

00:30:31

Speaker 1: the noble steeds and waved to the royal family. But

00:30:37

Speaker 1: nobody stole the show quite like Dewey the Little Dinosaur.

00:30:43

Speaker 1: Everyone was a standard to see the princess riding on

00:30:49

Speaker 1: the back of a magical, sleepy forest dinosaur, and they

00:30:55

Speaker 1: rejoiced and praised her for it. Dewey the Dinosaur beamed

00:31:00

Speaker 1: a smile from ear to ear. His dream had come true.

00:31:07

Speaker 1: He was a noble steed for royalty, and it felt wonderful.

00:31:16

Speaker 1: Cheerful music played in the streets all afternoon, and the

00:31:22

Speaker 1: citizens of the kingdom were full of joy and goodwill.

00:31:27

Speaker 1: They hailed their kind King and Queen, and delighted in

00:31:32

Speaker 1: seeing Princess Sierra riding her very own, one of a

00:31:38

Speaker 1: kind steed. By the time the royal parade had worked

00:31:44

Speaker 1: its way through the kingdom and back to the palace

00:31:48

Speaker 1: where it finished, everyone was thoroughly exhausted. Sierra climbed down

00:31:57

Speaker 1: from Dewy's bag and gave him a hug. You were magnificent,

00:32:05

Speaker 1: she told him. The little dinosaur's eyes were glistening with gratitude,

00:32:13

Speaker 1: and he stood so proudly that he appeared as if

00:32:18

Speaker 1: he had grown ten inches taller in the time it

00:32:22

Speaker 1: had taken to complete the parade. Dewey, the little dinosaur,

00:32:28

Speaker 1: smiled at Sierra and said wholeheartedly, thank you, Princess for

00:32:37

Speaker 1: making my dream come true. It was late in the afternoon,

00:32:45

Speaker 1: and the sun would soon set. It was about time

00:32:51

Speaker 1: that the young dinosaur returned to Sleepy Forest in time

00:32:56

Speaker 1: for bed. Princess Sierra and the Queen led Dewy back

00:33:03

Speaker 1: through the palace grounds and opened up the gate to

00:33:07

Speaker 1: Sleepy Forest. As the young dinosaur was about to pass

00:33:14

Speaker 1: through the gate and walk home, Sierra stopped him briefly

00:33:19

Speaker 1: in his tracks. I almost forgot, she said, I have

00:33:27

Speaker 1: something for you to take so that everyone will believe

00:33:31

Speaker 1: you when you tell them, you are a Princess's noble steed.

00:33:38

Speaker 1: She pulled out from behind her back the gold helmet

00:33:43

Speaker 1: that Dewy had worn in the parade and placed it

00:33:46

Speaker 1: back on his head. The little dinosaur grinned and stood

00:33:53

Speaker 1: satisfied with his splendid helmet on his head. Princess Sierra

00:34:01

Speaker 1: gave Dewey the Dinosaur one last hug and the Queen

00:34:07

Speaker 1: curtsied in farewell. Then, with one last declaration of his

00:34:14

Speaker 1: gratitude to the Queen and Princess for their kindness and generosity,

00:34:20

Speaker 1: he trotted back off into Sleepy Forest to tell all

00:34:24

Speaker 1: of his friends about his incredible day. Princess Sierra watched

00:34:32

Speaker 1: her magical friend disappear into the mystical Sleepy Forest, and

00:34:39

Speaker 1: she felt a pang of longing to follow him. She

00:34:44

Speaker 1: wanted to explore more of Sleepy Forest and the other

00:34:48

Speaker 1: creatures who lived within it. She wanted to learn about

00:34:53

Speaker 1: their hopes and dreams and befriend them and help them

00:34:58

Speaker 1: in whatever way she could. The Queen took her hand

00:35:05

Speaker 1: and Sierra looked up at her mother dreamily. The Queen chuckled, and,

00:35:12

Speaker 1: as if reading Sierra's mind, said, There's always tomorrow for

00:35:19

Speaker 1: now it's time for your royal bed. As Sierra followed

00:35:27

Speaker 1: her mother back to her bedchamber to relax for the night,

00:35:33

Speaker 1: Sierra couldn't help thinking about Sleepy Forest and Dewey the

00:35:38

Speaker 1: Little Dinosaur. That night. As her head hit the pillow,

00:35:46

Speaker 1: she dreamed of the adventures she would go on with

00:35:50

Speaker 1: her future Sleepy Forest friends, and she slept peacefully in

00:35:57

Speaker 1: the knowledge that the magical forest was only just outside

00:36:04

Speaker 1: the palace walls.
